Name: Kokaku Musha
Age: 20
Height: 6’4
Appearance: Medium brown skin. His long legs compared to his smaller body make him look a bit odd at first sight.
Eyes: Ocean Blue
Hair: His hair is medium tall and starts brown from the back. The hair in the front is blond. (See avatar)
Old Clothing: First of all Kokaku wears a blue bandana (check history). He likes to wear his leather jacket almost all the time. He usually wears blue jeans, which end at the nose of his casual gym shoes. He wears a brown sweater underneath his jacket with a strange emblem on it.
New Clothing: Kokaku has outgrown his old favourite set of clothing and had decided that it was time for a complete new style. (Note, avatar shows old clothing) As his job at the joint of Kazuki required him to wear a suit, he came to the conclusion that it looked quite good on him. He now wears a black suit, a white blouse underneath it, a black tie hanging between his suit jacket and his white blouse. During cold and wet days Kokaku often wears a long black raincoat making him look more of a Mafioso. His casual suits however were designed specially for him, adding a stretch to it, making it able to move swiftly. His bandana however still can be found around his head.
OOC: With great gratitude towards Leesa for drawing it, thanks Lee ^^ and towards Kira for colouring it, Thanks sis!
Nationality: Japanese
Build: His body is of medium build and he has long legs.
Fighting Style: Though Kokaku never really studied a certain “style” of fighting he did learn how to use his long legs as an advantage. The fighting style that comes closest to his is Tae Kwon Do. He learned some moves from books about Tae Kwon Do. He has also practised to combine this style with using a pole. Therefore he can use a pole in combination to tae kwon do.
Personality: Kokaku had a rough history that made him very isolated. He is afraid to harm people’s feelings but feels lonely non the less. Kokaku doesn’t really find any meaning in his life and is most of the times depressed. This is obvious the result of a bad childhood, a friendless childhood. Kokaku has been loyal to his only friend he ever had and can therefore be seen as a loyal person, though he never had any other friends to be loyal to. Though Kokaku is not an evil person he never really tried to make any contact with other people and is therefore most unfamiliar with the word friendship. Most of the smiles he showed in his life were forced smiles.
Old Personality:
Kokaku’s attitude has changed drastically, during the last couple of months at Varron. Kokaku has become more aggressive then usual, and has been bothered by some sort of Shoaku inside him, making him even more aggressive in some cases. Though he is still warm-hearted towards his friends, he takes way more initiative then before.
New Personality:
(Short version xD)Kokaku has actually matured by a lot, his patience has increased and he has become a lot less hostile than in his old days. He tried to avoid fighting as much as possible. He's become more open to stranger and puts a lot of his trust in his friends. His sense for responsibility has also increased by a lot.
History: Kokaku grew up in a bad atmosphere. He was raised by his older brother, Hogosha who was 7years older then Kokaku. He never knew his mother. Apparently she died when he was born, but Hogosha knew better. He was almost certain that their father, Shoaku, had murdered his wife. His father was an alcohol addict who didn’t want any children. Hogosha didn’t know what his reaction was when he was born but he was almost certain that Shoaku had killed her. Kokaku’s father beated up his two sons once in the two days at least, just because he was bored. Though Hogosha could take the beatings, Kokaku was sure to die if nothing happened. Hogosha was Kokaku’s only hope and only friend. Hogosha took Kokaku to a secret place where he met up with some of his friends. They were all having problems at home and were all there to study fighting styles. This is where Kokaku learned his techniques. When Kokaku was 9 his brother gained an enormous beating for training Kokaku. Somehow, his father found out. Kokaku attacked his father but was brutally beaten. Though Kokaku wasn’t too wounded, Hogosha was in bad shape and Kokaku used all his strength to take him to a hospital. It took several hours before Hogosha came to his senses. “Take.. my bandana off...” he said. Kokaku took it off. “Let this... be your strength...” Kokaku didn’t understand. “Who betrayed you, Hogosha?” he asked. “It must’ve been... Ranshin... why did I trust him....”. With these words, Hogosha, Kokaku’s only true friend, left his brother alone in this world. “Ranshin...” Kokaku’s hands formed fists. His brother was 16 for a few weeks now and went to a new school. He met Ranshin there, a rich boy. Hogosha accepted him in the fighters group but it seemed that he betrayed the group... Kokaku trained for several years, never going home again... His father never even bothered looking for him. He lived on the streets; sometimes he found a hotel and stayed there, without checking in. When Kokaku reached the age of 14 he thought he had learned enough. It was time for revenge. Kokaku went back to his hometown where he looked for 4days until he found Ranshin. Ranshin didn’t change a bit, but when he saw Kokaku his face changed. He smiled and said “long time no seen, friend.” “Don’t call me your friend, you dirty snitch” Kokaku replied calm. Kokaku had learned how to control his anger. Without any further warning Kokaku jumped towards Ranshin and kicked him in the face with a high kick. Ranshin didn’t even fight back; he took the blow and fell down. He looked up and replied “I know I deserved that, but...” but before he could finish his sentence Kokaku picked him up and kicked him in the stomach with his left leg, not moving away from it. Ranshin grabbed Kokaku’s left leg, but that was just the thing Kokaku wanted. He used his right leg and hit Ranshin at the neck. He heard a break and his eyes followed Ranshin falling on his knees. Kokaku didn’t even hesitate, he ran as fast as he could. He took a bus out of the town. Now, 2years later, he ended up here. Did he do right on raking Ranshin out? What was the meaning of his existence. Could he ever trust anyone, or was the world full of people like Ranshin. Kokaku now lived on the streets around Varron, and he decided it was time to try starting a new life...
Strengths: Kokaku has his strengths in his legs. He can do great acrobatic moves with his legs that can help him in some difficult situations. Kokaku is also a very loyal and dedicated person that won’t hesitate to help his friends out.
Weakness: What Kokaku has in strength in his legs, he lacks in his arms. His arms are strong enough to take some blows but are not a good way of attacking, thus it makes him weak if he is forced to use his arms. Also, Kokaku wears things(in mind and in clothing) that are very important to him, a way for an enemy to take advantage of.
* New * Weapon: Kokaku has mastered the art of handling a sword, combined with his legs being able to fight powerfully it makes Kokaku even more dangerous, his weakness in his arms has then taken place for a strength in swords.
Varron History:
Since his arrival at Varron, Kokaku has become friends with Kazuki, a man that shortly after their first meeting gave Kokaku a room at his apartment. During his first day, Kokaku went to the gym where he came across a person wearing shades. When Kokaku kindly asked him to remove them, his fears from the past reappeared when he looked into the same eyes his father had. After some scary memories he become good friends with this person who’s name is Maverik.
A while after this event Kokaku, Maverik and Kazuki were leaving Li’s when they found a friend named Jazz who was in need of help. The group fought off some aggressive bikers but this wasn’t the end of it. Shortly after, Kokaku was threatened and after that taken hostage. A wild rescue mission mainly performed by Kazuki, assisted by many of his friends made Kokaku a free man again but Kokaku was never the same again. His behaviour towards others had become more careful as he did not wanted to get their friends into trouble again.
A new boy, named Leon appeared on the stage and everyone soon noticed that this boy had something special. Kokaku and Leon got on very well until Kokaku and a friend of Leon got sided up and Leon took the side of his friend. Kokaku had to win Leon’s respect back and knew that this could only be done by a swordfight. However, he didn’t want to fight with just a sword and so he returned to his hometown to get his brothers sword.
When he arrived home the streets were empty and apparently two groups appeared. Kokaku joined up with a group lead by his brothers best friends. He fought against the Yakuzi and killed his father. He said farewell to his friends and took the sword of his brother with him. After he returned to Varron he suddenly disappeared for several weeks. It still has to become clear where he went after he suddenly disappeared during a fight between Kazuki and Maverik…
* New * Recent History:
Kokaku went to visit his old master, who had trained him in several arts, to become trained in fighting with the sword. However, this wasn’t the only training he followed there. He was also training in devotion. He knew he had to fight either Kazuki or Maverik soon enough, so he had to be mentally prepared to fight with greater power then he had ever shown before. Kokaku knew Shoaku was inside him, at least, the blood of his father flew through his veins too.
Back home, Kokaku took over the school clearance from Kazuki, as Kazuki was gone himself. Students who disobeyed the rules were beaten down, their spirits broken and thorn apart. However, all the fighting made Shoaku inside Kokaku win in power. After some showdowns almost claiming the life of Akamaru, Kokaku fell in a sleep, where he dreamt about his father, telling him he was next… next to be overwhelmed by Shoaku…
Maverik and Kokaku had seen each other little lately, end their final meeting wasn’t a happy one. Maverik’s long feared brother showed up, releasing something in Maverik of great power, before Maverik killed him. Maverik left to find a laboratory explaining about his past. However, Kokaku felt it concerned his past as well and indeed, when Kokaku found Maverik again as he had returned, Maverik had found his mother and was there to kill her. However he was stopped by Leon who tried to smack some sense into Maverik. Kokaku found out about Maverik being his brother and immediately took his side, countering all Leon’s arguments, his counters however being based on facts too, causing the opposite effect, not Maverik but Leon got smacked back to reality. The fight that Leon and Kokaku had during the parking lot however was finally ended as Kokaku and Leon could finally shake each other the hand again. Leon left, and Kira and Kokaku took Maverik home, Kokaku wondering about a lot of things however.
Not long after this incident, Kokaku became seventeen, getting a lot of presents from his friends. From the money he got he bought himself specially designed suits, making it able to fight in them. However, his birthday being a happy thing, Kokaku couldn’t stop thinking about what was going to happen. He knew Maverik and Kazuki would fight. And he knew he would have to either interfere, or fight one of the two in the end. However, it would probably become a lose-lose situation. One way or another, Shoaku would be released…
OOC: It’s a pity I lost the history on Varron Academy from after Shoaku got loose… which was like 8months back. I will someday rewrite that bit, but to be honest, at the moment I am not in the mood to do so. My eyes are now fixed on the Hircine story line so I will simply take off from the firebombing at the Edge.
History Conclusion: Switching home once again
Kokaku had been aware of the fact that the Legion headquarters would be the next target for the ruthless gang of Kvist. Kazuki had informed him on that and many nights were spent at the Edge from that moment on. Kokaku and Kazuki had discussed plans together with friends like Dain Gavyns and Maverik, yet it seemed to be to no real avail anyway. Kokaku was not fond of fighting but an all out war was something he had never expected to occur… yet it did. Fighting was one thing, but Kvist forced them into becoming murderers…
Yet Kokaku knew he had no choice, he had begun to love the Edge as a second home and he wasn’t about to hand it over to some madman wearing a mask. Beside that, he was never going to abandon his friends either. Kvist however played this one beautifully, storming the building in tactical groups, eventually breaking through the bouncers outside. Kazuki and Maverik had both gone berserk on false information, making them believe that Kira Karyuudo had been killed. Kokaku asked his new and yet close friend Leaf to check out if the information was true, but it was to no avail. By the time Leaf had arrived at Kira’s penthouse, the Edge was already starting to burn down at the back. It would only be a matter of time for the liquor stock to explode.
Kokaku informed everyone who was still alive and wearing a headset about the news that Kira was still alive, trying to smack some sense back into Kazuki and Maverik, but he knew he was too late anyway. He pulled Rene with him and dragged her out the secret exit at Kazuki’s office. Rene refused to leave without knowing for sure that Kazuki was alive, but the fire had already blocked their way back. The two escaped without any severe wounds and were quickly sighted in the streets. Thinking they were safe, Kokaku pulled out his mobile phone and was about to call Kazuki when he was suddenly shot through the shoulder. He pushed Rene to the ground and threw his body over her to catch any incoming bullets… the two had landed into a gunfight between FBI agents and The Hand of Fate members.
A stray bullet hit him in his upper leg but luckily for him, the Hand of Fate members were quickly driven away by the FBI agents. The FBI however took no risk and knocked both him and Rene unconscious. The next thing he knew, he woke up in a hospital. <Will be in the hospital section soon>
His friends were there too and explained him the situation, it had only gotten worse from there on and apparently, Varron Academy had closed down. When Kokaku was allowed to leave, he immediately went to his apartment, only to find it was quite deserted. Akamaru had apparently left for unknown time so he was all alone there. Days seemed to pass by without anything interesting going on…
Until he received an invitation to join another school, Hircine High… confused by the sudden invitation, Kokaku called Leon Loire and questioned him about it. Though Leon knew just as much as Kokaku did, he told Ko that most of them would be heading out there… and so would Kokaku. It seemed he would be leaving Varron behind once and for all… something he hadn’t hoped for… yet it happened. He packed his belongings and sold the apartment. Without knowing too much about what all his friends did, he set out to San Francisco…
