Basic InformationCharacter Name: Leon Loire Character's “Real” Name: Alexander Thompson Junior Age: 18 years old School Class: Senior Height: 6' 0" (feet, inches) Weight: 170 lbs. (pounds) Eye Color: Navy Hair: Auburn Nationality: Caucasian-American Hometown: Sacramento, California, United States Religion: Christian-Deism Occupation: None Vehicle: ’05 Cherry Red Ford Mustang ConvertibleFinancial Net Worth: $10,000 American Dollars Residence: Hircine High Dorm Room # 642, Complex Four AppearanceBuild: Trimmed upper torso, well toned four pack, long muscular legs, strong biceps, broad slender shoulders, arched feet, medium-lengthened arms. With scars, Leon has a single three inch long wound of scarlet flesh running just beside his left nostril, running up to the very beginning of his forehead. Leon also has a few-month-old three inch stab wound on the lower quadrant of his left chest, directly between his heart and lung. Finally, a fresh new scar of an entire six inches is in the dead center of his left lung, running light beige and represented on both sides of his body. Note: Leon is left-handed Facial Features: Leon Loire would not come across as a very different identity in comparison to his fellow classmates – if he merely wore common clothing. His face is designed as that of a Caucasoid, his chin rounded and slightly hooking from the curved jaw, the nose reasonably thin and straight, and his lips thin and only slightly pursed; the three significant aspects fit the “beauty” ratio, so he does not come off as odd. His circular eyes are the strongest aspect of his face, and he often refers to them as the “Gatehouse to his soul”. His hair is still somewhat shaggy and “mopped” across his head, allowing his bangs to somewhat cover his forehead, and therefore, his scar. ApparelAlways worn attire: *A 2inch (widest point) by 4 1/2inch (longest point) 18karat Silver "Griever" Lion Amulet, worn over the neck as an amulet. Casual School Clothing: Plain Navy Blue T-shirt, Clean White Button-Up Overshirt (unbuttoned), Clean American Eagle TM Blue Jeans, K-Swiss White Shoes, Timex TM Analog & Digital Watch with Brown Leather wrist; eye contacts in. Update - After his return to being “Leon,” the young teenager has decided to dress as a common teenager the majority of the time, rather than being presented as a rebel. "Leonhart" Outfit: Stark White-Grey Undershirt, Jet Black Leather Jacket (long sleeve and worn down to waist) with White 'Mane' sown around collar (unzipped), rugged Black ‘Battle’ leggings with two Belt Straps on parts of right leg (to support Lionheart Sheath when used), Formally polished 'Battle' Boots in White Bleached Cow Hide, Black Leather Gloves, Double Strap Waist Belt (to support hip of Gunblade sheathe); eye contacts in. City Outfit: Silk Navy Button-Up (fully buttoned except for collar), Ironed Black Khakis, Black Leather Travel Boots (half-way up lower calf of leg, like cowboy boots), Black Leather Belt, Black Leather Gloves, Brown Leather Trench Coat (buttoned up), Timex TM Analog Watch with Stainless Steel Links; eye glasses on. WeaponsPersonal: LionheartDescription: The Blade is 3ft x 2in x 10in (length by width by height or flat end of length) which is built of a Scientific Prototype of the Varaquilex Inc. Company known as Damascus, an extremely powerful yet lightweight metallic alloy. The blade is in the same form and shape as its predecessor, the Revolver Gunblade, but its appearance is far different. Shining with a bright blue glow, the blade is naturally jet black, but due to a chemical reaction between the heated Magnesium alloy and the local Oxygen atoms in the air, the blade creates a by-product of energetic light, that does not necessarily cause additional damage, but grants for an intimidating sight. The only portion of the blade that does not glow is the imprint of the Griever Lion at the base. Its laser cut design sliced out all fragments of Magnesium in its creation, therefore leaving a black outlining of Leon’s famous insignia upon his weapon. The hilt is nearly identical to that of the Revolver Gunblade, but with a few key differences. The metal is that of a lighter form of the Damascus alloy, weakening its endurance but granting more weight. Its coloring is black at the grip for the leather hide wrap, but it is pure white elsewhere, including the ornament revolver barrel and its attached wings. These two segments have no significance; only increase the beauty of Leon Loire’s personal weapon. Secondary: IzouDescription: Given to Loire from Kazuki Shinato, - now known as Taiku Akimoto - the blade is a traditional masterpiece of Eastern craftsmanship. Lengthening at 36 inches (about 62cm), the blade is forged nearly completely of a Steel (purified Iron) composite, with additional composites of Copper and coated in Manganese. The hilt and hilt guard are also forged traditionally, yet instead crafted of mainly a Titanium alloy mixture. This combination of metallic strength allows for the blade to effectively impact against .45 caliber bullets without structural damage. The grip of the hilt is composed of high-quality shark skin layered in a deep blue vinyl, and embroidered together in a jet black stitching. On the base of the blade is etched an old Japanese proverb, although its translation is unknown. The scabbard is made of smoothed over mahogany and painted deep black, with a matching silver entry for the blade. Additional InformationPersonality: In his youth, Leon (known as Alex in those days) was particularly shy, withdrawn and naive, always hiding behind his friend Chris Kingston for a voice, and always being forgotten in a crowd. This foundation of childhood brings a strong discomfort with the feeling of "the lowest rung of the ladder," and therefore forcing Leon Loire into a rather awkward position in Hircine High. In Varron, he was charismatic, highly sociable, and above all respected - but he had to gain all that from months of friendship and hard work. All in all, while Leon can seem as laid back and friendly as others, his subconscious persona is far different. At the moment, he feels crowded, and pressured, and the detail that his old hometown being only a few miles away is certainly not helping things. Yet, now that Leon has spent about two months learning the details of Hircine High's Hierarchy, he feels more comfortable with the surroundings. His intentions are now set, and he is close to what he formerly was at Varron Academy: passionate, individualistic, and charismatic. He has every intention of uniting the Varronites into one clean order, and to use their power to bring the school's Hierarchy under the will of the student body, not the School System itself. Ideology: Leon Loire is a renowned figure of passion and belief, recognized by both Varron and Hircine students as an outspoken, individualistic figure. A Liberal of the American Political alignment, Loire stands strongly towards the idea of Liberty before Tradition, and is clearly a rebel against the current Corporal Punishment System. He feels the idea of sacrificing civil and personal liberties for the sake of security and the school's safety has been taken too far, and intends to resist the System's power through whatever logical means are available. Formerly he believed his only chance to bring Change was by surviving his High School education, graduating from College, and jumping into the political game. However, since events in his life have cut down his possible life span considerably, he has come to see that he has to act upon something to bring some sort of change. He knows that he cannot reform or dismantle a nation-wide system on his own; however, he recognizes that if all students under the Corporal Punishment System began to resist their oppressors and their Deans, then a Movement or Revolution would be inevitable, and thus the Liberals in the higher echelons of National Politics could bring change. Ironically, this sort of belief has brought his own stance in a sort of parallel to his political rival, Stern Mason. Yet, Leon Loire's difference with Mason is perhaps a separation of their ends and their actions thereafter. Loire recognizes a commanding representation of the student body must replace whatever is torn down; Mason merely seems to bring change itself, without outlook on the aftermath. Loire is also attempting to learn from his former battles with Stern Mason at Varron Academy and attempting to take a more subtle approach, battling the System when he is trusted enough by those he would hope to lead. Yet, thus far, while Loire's path towards Change is still uncertain, he recognizes that the ultimate way to reformation is not by destroying the local System, but by demeaning it and protecting the student body, to show them another side of the story, and allow them to be safe from the System's conditioning. Through this, Leon Loire sees that the school's Captain and his Pillars are the clearest means of safeguarding the student body from the System, and an inevitable conflict with their order is necessary for Loire's goals to be met. Hobbies: Leon's more preferred interests in life include Baseball, jazzing up the Blues with his Saxophone, the occasional video game, National and International politics, and researching History. But Leon's biggest interest is politics in general, and the second is his Saxophone. Extracurricular: Leon is planning to be enrolled in the following classes for his Senior year... again: Semester One• AP U.S. History • AP Literature and Composition • Band III • Free Period Semester Two• Strength Training (Physical Education Course) • AP Economics • AP Government • Free Period Hand to Hand Fighting Style: In combat, Leon prefers a defensive stance, always evading his opponent's strikes or blocking whatever is necessary. However, Leon is not one to simply restrain himself to simple attack-and-block battles, and centers himself on defeating his opponent's attack, then twisting that very strike to his own advantage. After a block or parry, Leon will typically attempt to strike his opponent in a defenseless location - all thanks to the strike Leon just resisted - allowing him to break down their defense in the process. When their defenses dwindle, Leon presses the initative, intent on breaking their hopes of escape and finally finishing them with his powerful and dangerous leg spins and kicks. Blade to Blade Fighting Style: In terms of his blade wielding, his Lionheart follows the styles of its predecessor Revolver Gunblade. Leon uses two styles, Offensive and Defensive Stance, both attempting to reinforce the advantages and disadvantages of wielding such an imbalanced and heavy weapon. In Defensive Stance, Leon’s preferred style, the Swordsman uses purely counters and blocks, rarely attacking. Knowing that the weight is against him, and the disproportionate design can slow him down even more, Leon sticks to strategizing and acting on weakness to win. For such a heavy weapon, however, Leon is extremely skilled. He is able to wield the weapon and amazing speeds, and can pull off several techniques of evasion when possible, such as his signature Pole Vault jump. In Offensive Stance, Leon uses the common ideals of his alias to do battle. Relying on the weight and blunt power of the weapon, Leon attacks and blocks with the Lionheart, intent on simply ending the fight. At this time Leon rarely counters, parries or evades, and usually relies on brute defensive blocks to prevent harm. But when in offense, he keeps focused on harming his adversary. Strengths: Due to his build and technique, Leon is extremely fast in close quarters, and prefers to evade by any standards then block. When attacking, Leon uses his arms to break defenses, counter attack, or grab, but he has now relied on his fists as a significant weapon to wear down his foes, and his legs more as an evasive and powerful finishing move. Weaknesses: Leon is now limited in breathing in bitterly cold or exhausting exercises. Thanks to the wound he received to his left lung that was never completely healed, Leon now occasionally feels small pings of pain when breathing in temperatures under forty degrees Fahrenheit, and will begin to experience difficulties breathing when he has pushed himself too far. Due to the slice the wound made on his heart, his cardiac muscle has a more difficult time pumping oxygen to the left lung, only increasing the dangers. And with this, the wound never fully recovered, and therefore a blunt strike to his upper left torso could leave a painful agony in his body. Also, Alec’s skewer to his left chest has left Leon’s breathing abilities temporarily cut in half, and are barely recovering. Therefore, Leon cannot run about very well, and has difficulty recovering if taking too much damage to his chest. His breathing becomes unstable, and his fatigue rapidly increases.

Toshikune Sekine: Age: 20 years; Hair: Black; Eyes: Brown; Height: 5’10’’; Weight: 145 lbs.; Relation to Loire - Ally; agile, toned build A man of Loire’s past, “Jin” Sekine was formerly the Gang leader of the Ace of Queens, and long ago fought against Alex Thompson (Leon’s former identity) as they vied for control of Public School #2237. Eventually Leon defeated Toshikune, and the two fell into what began as an uneasy alliance, and eventually evolved into a strange “warrior friendship”. Toshikune’s past is somewhat unknown, as is many people of Leon’s past. Update: After Leon left Sacramento, Toshikune briefly lived in a mysterious city known as Manerin, before following Leon to Varron after the battle in Manerin against Seifer. Yet Toshikune found the place hostile and far too different to his respect of Leon Loire, so the warrior of honor left Leon Loire behind, and found himself back in the west coast. Two years later, Toshikune Sekine finds himself living in San Francisco, and now places himself as the closest thing to a guardian of Leon Loire in his new stead as a Hircine High student. Azumi Kadowaki Philanaski: Age: 25 years; Hair: Black; Eyes: Brown; Height: 5’7’’; Weight: 115lbs.; Relation to Loire - Friend; non-fighter, sleek feminine appearance, hair can run down to half of back. Another of those who were intertwined in Leon’s past, A.K. Philanaski first met Leon as the assistant medical official of Public School #2237 - and due to her experience and Leon’s ambitions to become a Doctor - soon became his mentor. Over the first two years in Leon’s time in #2237 Azumi became his “older sister”, acting as an adult figure that could watch over him as his parents could not. After the final confrontation between Seifer (Alec) and Alex (Leon), Azumi was mysteriously fired from the ailing school, and invited to act as a Doctor at Varron City’s Medical Center with her fiancé. She is now a Directing Medical Officer of the Varron Hospital Center. Update: After the shutting down of Varron Academy, Azumi took Leon into her home so that he could hide away from General Odine and the authorities until he could depart for San Francisco. Unfortunately due to the sudden leave, the Philanaski couple are unable to follow Leon out west, but are working their hardest to prepare transfers to the Medical centers of Hircine High or one of the Golden city's hospitals. Lisa Hughes: Age: 18 years; Hair: Mahogany; Eyes: Deep Brown; Height: 5’8’’; Weight: 110lbs; Relation to Loire - " Lover"; non-fighter, petite female structure, hair falls past shoulders, parted just above ears. Lisa first met Leon Loire as a fast friend in their AP Political Science course in their junior year, and after discovering their shared love of Jazz and the Saxophone, the girl invited Leon to join her brother’s band, The Jupiter Blues. For the rest of Leon’s time in Varron City, he played as Lisa’s partner in the group. However, after the closing of the school, and Lisa’s own peaceful lifestyle in Varron Academy, she was accepted into a renowned Art School in New York City to complete her necessary repetition of a senior year; she is planning to move up to the college “big sister” of that same school within a year. In the past and the present, it has been known that Lisa and Leon shared a strong relationship of sorts, and at times it seemed they cared for one another. While this is only rumor to others, the pair are in fact entwined in love; however, due to their separation, the two swore a vow to wait, and plan to be together by year's end. Until then, their only form of communication is through the Internet or other devices. Brigadier General Douglass Odine: Age: 57 years; Hair: White; Eyes: bright Blue; Height: 6’3’’; Weight: 250lbs.; relation to Loire - Enemy; broad shoulders, aged body structure, relies on command to enforce law. The widely known and widely popular History teacher of Public School #2237, Odine first met Leon and his friends as their basic Government teacher in Freshman year, where Odine grew a mentor-pupil relationship with Leon’s best friend Christ Kingston. Odine would continue to have significant influence over the three friends, yet Chris and Alex would quickly turn away from Odine’s more Conservative views in the midst of the Sophomore year. Yet he held onto his influence over Jaina Schaffen, who was not one for reform or change. After the Battle of Varron Plaza No. 7, Odine has returned to the sight of Leon Loire as a military General in the State military. Seemingly, Odine was the head of a State Military Project of an unknown name that's goal was to bring rise a powerful fighter that believed in the Corporal Punishment System; Alex Thompson was the aim of this project until his supposed death. What Leon does not know is that while he is considered a "Failed Specimen", Odine continues to hunt him and manipulate him. After Leon's escape from Odine's brainwashing, the young Knight placed forward evidence that forced the United States military to investigation, one that would prevent the continuance of his projects until the courts freed him. Update: After the loss of the Academy, the National Government secretly decided to release Odine's charges temporarily due to the example of violence made by the Hand of Fate. Now in control of his operations once again, Odine intended to use the arrest of Leon Loire as a chance to recapture him; however, an unknown friend in an unknown place rescued Leon from his cell, and presented him with the invitation to Hircine, saving him from Odine's clutches. Alec Domnovic: Age: 18 years; Hair: “Rose” Blond; Eyes: Blue; Height: 6’1’’; Weight: 200lbs.; Relation to Loire - Enemy; circular shoulders, strong arms, balanced legs, toned upper body. Leon first came across Seifer Almasy (Alec) in conflict. Seifer, who had confronted Leon while on patrol in Public School #2237 in the Junior year, attacked Leon using his Gunblade, the Hyperion, against Leon’s Gunblade, the Revolver. Leon was defeated within twenty minutes and wounded with a slash across the face that would symbolize the final connection between Alex Thompson and Squall Leonhart, the myth which Seifer wished to trap Leon into. Alex continued to resist against Seifer’s forces, the Knight’s Guard, yet he was eventually defeated, and forced into exile from his school and hometown. In a last ditch effort to protect his family and friends, Leon staged a genuine assault on one of Seifer’s strongholds, killing a handful of the Guard in the process, but supposedly dying as well. Eventually after Seifer discovered Leon was still alive, he established his place in the region around Public School #2237, and began plans concerning the expansion of his underground Empire. After the Manerin Event, Leon discovered that his ‘former’ girlfriend Jaina Schaffen had begun claiming herself as “Sorceress Shayna”, and that her clash with Leon proved that she had been brainwashed. At the time, Leon blamed this on Seifer. After the Battle of Varron Plaza No. 7, Leon discovers that Seifer has known of his true identity the entire time, and is not the insane fool Leon first thought him to be. Soon afterward, it was proven that 'Seifer' was actually Lieutenant Major Alec Domnovic of the State Military, working under Odine in their project. Update: After the attack on Kira Karyuudo by Kvist, Domnovic confronted Leon in a cafe located at the Plaza itself, and told him of the circumstances explaining Odine's investigation. Alec then confesses that he was under threat of treason as well, and that his "plans" were now in jeopardy; to escape certain death, Alec offers Loire the chance to be left alone for the duration of his expected time in Varron - which, in truth, was June of next year - and that once that time expired, the two would battle in a final Life or Death match. Leon accepted. Jaina Schaffen: Age: 18; Hair: Jet Black; Eyes: Emerald Green; Height: 5’8’’; Weight: 115lbs.; Relation to Loire - Unknown; slim shoulders, thin female physique, white complexion, long silky legs. A young girl from Leon’s past that played a significant role in his personal life from Middle to High School, Jaina Schaffen was at first shy and intellectual, but later become flirty and popular - however her intellect remained, merely hidden in her elusive mind. While they began as good friends, Alex and Jaina would become intimate after discovering their feelings for each other in their Junior year. The controversies of that year would not harm their relationship – if it had not increased it – yet the exile of Alex from “Seifer” would be the crippling effect that would shatter Jaina’s spirit. She would fall into depression, to feel sullen alongside Christopher. Update: Shortly after Leon’s supposed death, Alec (still claiming himself as Seifer) began to speak with Jaina in secret meetings, mostly due to his discovery that Odine (at the time a Professor at #2337) had been convincing Jaina to join a Crowley-Magic based Cult known as the Silver Moon. The Cult convinced Jaina that she had magical abilities, and Alec pressed this further by making her believe herself as a Sorceress, specifically one that suit the “Squall-Seifer” conflict. As a result, Jaina became brainwashed to call herself Sorceress Shayna, believing Seifer as her Knight and Leon as her enemy. It is believed at the time that Shayna is entangled around Odine’s little finger, but from Alec’s murmurings and fears, the former Jaina could merely have become a new unstoppable identity. She is obviously lacking in the magic promised to her, but she has been convinced that a certain form of blade combat – along with imbued daggers – is her form of magic. She has become a master of her craft, and continues to believe herself as a Sorceress, so much that she killed Chris with her own skewering hands.

History
Beginning days The man known as Leon Loire to the city of Varron and later to Hircine High started out as a simple little boy. Born in the late days of July, Alex Thompson Jr. was born to his two parents, Alex Thompson Sr. and Cynthia Banden Thompson. His days of childhood were like any other young toddler, and young little Alex (or AJ, as he soon came to be known) was the star of his entire family, being an only child with no cousins. At age five AJ started Kindergarten, and here he would meet the young boy to become his best friend, Christopher Kingston. They would quickly connect as friends, and their companionship was legendary to neighbors and family.
Growing up, Chris was always the smart, collected and social one, never afraid to speak with a single person, stranger or not. AJ on the other hand was more reclusive, and kept to simply listening into Chris’ interesting conversations.
Life continued on normally for the two pals, from 1st Grade, to the summer eve of 6th Grade. They had only grown even closer over the years, and Chris had plenty of friends, but AJ was always there, always laughing at his jokes and snarling at anyone insulting him. Entering 6th Grade, AJ and Chris never anticipated the harsh attitudes of the students there, and soon fell victim to the shadowy tricks, aimed at their innocence. Chris quickly adapted and came up with clever counters, but AJ was still far too shy, and was often thought of as a little dork.
Another change in Alex’s life came halfway through 6th Grade, when AJ and Chris would arrive to a new day of Physical Education to find the Captain of the Baseball team harassing a defenseless girl. Chris immediately ran to her assistance, but his words did nothing to help her. It took a bit of courage from the sheepish AJ to set things straight. Alex ran over to the jock and placed himself between the girl and the Captain, telling him that he should just walk away, and nothing would happen.
The jock’s response to his was a punch straight to Alex’s jaw. AJ went down for the count, and the girl fell to the ground next to him, attempting to help him. But just as the Captain was about to attack again, the P.E teacher smacked him straight across the back of his head, hurdling towards the wall. The Captain was suspended, and he never faced off against Alex again, although he found ways of attempting.
From then on, Alex and Chris had a third person in their duo, making them an inseparable trio. The two friends thought the girl was a bit odd, but no trouble, and she was pretty funny with her simple truths. So, they went on through the rest of Middle School, with Chris as the social intelligent leader, Alex as the quiet best friend, and Jaina Schaffen as their female conscious and companion.
High School, the summer previous, and the Freshman year After their little endeavors in Middle School, Alex Thompson and Chris Kingston realized that High School would be even worse. Deciding that it was time to prepare themselves for self-defense, Chris and Alex separated from each other’s side to train. Jaina ran off to her father’s house several miles away for summer vacation, and Chris went to Varron City with his father to train in Boxing, leaving Alex all alone.
Starting out with just simple exercises such as jogging, push-ups, chin-ups and weight lifting, AJ soon bought a punching bag, and began to practice basic punches and kicks. He found his fists weren’t very strong for upper cuts and jabs, but he discovered that his kicks were excellent, sending the punching bag into the air with high kicks and spin attacks. Drilling into his head a custom hand-to-hand style, his stance represented excellent kicks, decent grabs and good blocks, yet after all, he was still a rookie, and knew he would have to be careful.
On the last week of summer break, a rising Sophomore at the school Alex would attend found out about his training, and hastily challenged him, hoping to beat the young Freshman to a pulp to show his strength. Alex was no pushover, and quickly outwitted the Sophomore, but he wounded the student so badly that he was sent to the hospital for a several broken rips and a pierced lung. Feeling miserable for what he did as his parents fiercely grounded him, Alex quickly retrained, dropping his deadlier attacks and quickening his arms, so at least then they could be used for grabs and counter attacks. Alex soon followed a new style, based more off of defense and counterattacks then actual offensive assaults.
Pumped up and ready for his first day, Alex walked to the school bus to find that he isn’t alone. Chris called the other day, saying he would get to school by car that day, so Alex was ruggedly forced to ride the school bus alone, or so he thought. Sitting at the bench of the bus stop was an attractive young woman in a flowing skirt and bright pink lace tee, her long hair sparkling black, her eyes glowing emerald green. For a few awkward minutes, Alex didn’t recognize that it was actually a beautified Jaina Schaffen, who took up the chance to mess with Alex’s head through flirts and pats.
Throughout the Freshman year, Alex and Chris, along with their popular friend Jaina, walked the hallways as comfortably as any other student. Alex had not yet earned his fame, but Jaina was considered one of the more beautiful and more popular girls in the school, taking up a few boyfriends along the way. Chris had taken the name “Christopher the Clever”, and was seen as becoming a Political genius. Alex felt no jealousy to his friends, as long as they didn’t abandon him in the shadows.
Near the end of the year, Jaina began to act more comfortable around Alex, calling him “AJ” all the time, instead of “Alex” or “Alexander” like she used to. The change effected Alex’s emotions towards her, and his feelings for her began to swell, however he ignored them due to all of her constant boyfriends. This however, would soon begin to change as a new threat was rising. A few students had grown bored in the waking days of the year’s end, and a massive riot began in the last moments of the last day of school. Teachers rushed to try and stop the fights, but to no avail. Seniors were pummeling young Freshman, Juniors and Sophomores were clashing, and tougher Freshman, being the only defending party, attempted to defend their innocent classmates, Freshman or not. Alex soon joined the fray to get Chris and Jaina to safety, due to the fact that they had been assaulted and beaten down a small bit. Seeing his friends hurt drove Alex to confront the dangerous students one by one and take them down. Alex was no god in combat, and took his share of hits and bruises, but with the help of other Freshman fighters, they defeated the rioters and brought peace to the school.
The Rise of War, the birth of Leon After his battle on the last day of school, AJ quickly earned much of the respect he deserved. Many students revered him for his heroic efforts, and soon a new name was crowned upon him, Leon the Lion. Laughing a bit at the new nickname, Alex thought he would just continue to be AJ to everyone, but the nickname stuck. For the next two years, Alex Thompson Jr. would simply be thought of as Leon to the school. Only his family and friends would continue to think of him as Alex.
Knowing that the inevitable rise of violence would come to his school, Leon trained even harder than he had the summer previous. He sped his kicks to new lengths, hardened his blocks, and became even faster when it came to a strong counter. Leon was a student of the “Fluid-motion” method, where the user simply bases their moves upon what they sense, not see. Instead of always preparing himself for the attack, which would overstress him and his body, Leon trained himself to simply stand in a relaxed state, so when the attack came, his quick thinking mind would do all the work.
Spending much of his summer with his friends this time, Leon grew more and more social, growing friendly with Chris’ and Jaina’s other friends. Soon enough, Leon was though of as the strongest fighter in the school, but of course everyone knew that was a bold statement. With that said, many other fighters took note, and soon followed Leon around, attempting to convince him to begin a sort of defense for the school.
They would soon need it. Arriving only a month after the beginning of school, several gangs raided the school’s population. Fierce and ruthless, many of these gangs were unorganized, but out of the harshness of the dirty fighters of these groups popped out three highly kept Mafias that were ready to strike the heart of Leon’s High School. The three gangs were the Ace of Queens, a New Yorker street gang; the Lenin Guard, a Russian Mafia; and the Blood Red Blades, a hybrid between the Chinese Triads and the Japanese Yakuza. These three groups intended to strike pain and fear into the souls of the students.
But Leon intended to resist them. Collecting all of the fighters in the school, Leon led a small task force (including all of his Freshman allies from his first battle) to throw the three gangs out of commission. Several fights, both individual and groups, dotted the halls of the school for several months, sending many to the hospital and even to jail. Leon didn’t stand in the sidelines to coach; however, he was often on the frontlines, facing off against the leader of the Ace of Queens, Jin Sekine.
As Leon fought off the street gangsters of New York, Chris came up with a plan to bring the Lenin Guard down, and force the Blood Red Blades into a Civil War. Placing several spies inside the structure of the Yakuza end of the Blades, Chris’ men intimidated the Triads (led by Tai Jian) to quarrel with the Yakuza (led by Kaituz Urdama). Rather rapidly, the two sides were colliding into internal conflict, as Kaituz and Tai finally admitted to their loathing of each other.
Meanwhile, Chris and his forces set full force onto an attack on the Lenin Guard, and dethroned them by injuring their leader in a surprise assault. Crippling the Russians with one swift blow, and finishing the Blades after their crisis weakened them, the only gang left was the Queens. At the end of the year, Jin Sekine surrendered to a victorious Leon, and in favor, Leon appointed the second in command in his place, in hopes that Julante Smith would run the gang in a more peaceful fashion. By June of that year, the gang problem in the school was over, and Leon was deemed the School Captain for his leadership.
The Rival’s Entrance, Exile At the start of Leon’s new summer, he felt at the best in his entire life. His school was clean of violence once and for all, he had the respect he always hoped for, and soon his Junior year would begin. Feeling happy about what he accomplished, Leon strove to train more, but kept his ties with Jaina and Chris everyday. Eventually, though, Leon realized that he would need a symbol to rule under, now that he was the School Captain. Deciding that it was time he forged a weapon of his own, Leon spent hundreds of dollars to slave over a Blacksmith anvil, designing a sword that fit into his style of combat perfectly. After many failed attempts and rough drafts, Leon finally came to his completed design, The Gunblade Revolver Class. Seeing it as a living icon of his leadership, Leon quickly bound the ideal to metal and placed his new weapon on his hip, its new home.
After a month of design, Leon spent the rest of his summer training in swordsmanship, particularly in a custom form he built off of his hand-to-hand style. Using two stances of attack and defense, Leon could pull off powerful slashes and thrusts in his offensive stance, or heavy blocks and counters with his defensive stance. He felt the prowess of its being completed him somehow to be the true Leon.
But the changes to his life weren’t over yet, for with his new found part of him, Leon finally confessed his feelings to Jaina Schaffen, finding that she had felt the same way for years. With his crush now a love, Leon would no longer stroll the halls of his school alone. He had a queen.
The start of school was relaxed and comforting, and for a few months Leon actually thought that he would be free to spend his time with his girlfriend. But in the time close to Halloween, a mysterious outside source suddenly aided the defeated Lenin Guard back on its feet, and brought it to be renamed the Knight’s Guard. Unknown to Leon was that someone of complete contrast to him was taking its place, and this new leader would bring the Guard into an age of prosperity and power, and he led them to conquer the school.
On a quiet afternoon, on some pointless day, Leon was confronted by the man he would come to know as Seifer Almasy, his apparent rival. Wielding the Hyperion Gunblade, Seifer confused Leon hastily with strong, yet alien speech about their destiny. Leon was shocked to discover that to Seifer, Leon was Squall Leonhart, the SeeD officer that would lead to the slaying of a Sorceress that Seifer was Knighted to.
Soon after that, Seifer attacked Leon with his Hyperion, and Leon was forced to defend himself. Using his sword for the first time, Leon barely missed Seifer’s attacks, and eventually retreated to his allies for assistance. But Seifer soon noticed Jaina and took her hostage, threatening Leon that if he refused to fight Seifer, then he would kill Jaina.
Accepting Seifer’s terms almost instantly, the two battled all across the school for what seemed hours. Finally reaching the main courtyard in the heart of the school, Seifer disarmed Leon, sent him to his knees, and skewed the tip of his blade across Leon’s face, carving a five inch long scar from his forehead down to the space between his left nostril and left eye. Retaliating in rage, Leon picked up his own sword and scratched a scar onto Seifer’s face that mirrored his own. Not realizing what he had just done, Seifer laughed erratically and told him that they were now bonded forever, the rivalry between Squall Leonhart and Seifer Almasy to be the greatest battle of all time.
Soon realizing the truth, Leon was thrown into shock, allowing Seifer to make his escape. As Leon woke up, he found himself in a hospital, healing from his wounds.
About a month later, the Knight’s Guard declared war on Leon and his followers. Seifer’s Guard was highly superior to the young student warriors, who were stuck with fist and wit. His minions used the most advanced in black-market technology, utilizing special gloves and blades to cripple Leon’s fighters in less than two months. Growing frustrated with his losing war, Leon confronted Seifer again on a mountainside, only to be thrown to his knees again, this time with the blade to his throat. Seifer warned him that if he did not exile himself from the land around the school, Seifer would have everyone he loved killed. At first Leon refused, thinking Seifer a liar, but hours after his abrupt escape from Seifer’s clutches, he hears of a major mass killing, leaving nine of Leon’s followers dead, and a few others injured. After reading about bomb threats on his own home, finding out that Jaina’s home was broken into, and that Chris was jumped and sent to the hospital, Leon had no other choice. A day later, he accepted Seifer’s terms.
Final Battle, Leon’s vengeance After hearing Leon admit himself to exile, Seifer feels victory is near. Pulling all killings for his family and friends off, Seifer places every one of his men in his disposal to destroy Leon, in hope to end it all once and for all. Yet Leon wasn’t intending to go down without a fight, and so the day he was meant to leave his school forever, Leon dressed himself in a dark brown robe with the hood drooping over his head, carrying a boutique of roses. As he walked into the school, several of Seifer’s thugs confront Leon and attempt to kill him, but they are soon gunned down by Leon’s hidden Uzi in the roses. Rushing through the many divisions of Seifer’s HQ, Leon attempts to reach Seifer himself, but when he reaches near it, a sudden explosion erupts that makes it seem as if Leon is dead.
At the burial ceremony, a mourning family weeps for Leon, whom they believe is dead. After a while, they all leave, but Jaina attempts to stay with Leon, stating that she can’t leave him alone. As she is pulled out, Seifer Almasy strides in to laugh at his rival’s death, and his servants follow suit. But as he steps into his limo outside, the building with Leon’s corpse explodes, killing all of Seifer’s officers in the Guard. Leon then silently confronts Seifer and tells him that while the war may have been won on Seifer’s end, the war would never end, and Leon would see that someday Seifer died by the Gunblade.
And so, months later, Leon comes to Varron City in his exile, changing his name to Leon Loire, and attempting to absorb himself into the community, to hide from Seifer’s prying eyes, for now.

Current History
The Arrival and livelihood Leon Loire arrived as a Junior classmen to Varron Academy about halfway through the school's year. Regardless of his social attitude, Leon did not meet or befriend many people, often finding that those he hoped to meet never came out of the shadows, and those he began to know soon left the dangerous city for good.
Leon began his endeavors in Varron Academy by meeting and briefly conversing with a student named Ushanta Tamaro. While Leon's intentions were pure, a slip of wording led Ushanta to believe that the new transfer student was a Bounty Hunter. It was misled, so the two dropped the subject, and Leon followed through his day.
During one of his later periods, Leon would come around the building to find the school's common gymnasium, which included many innocent students, yet also contained several fighters, such as the man known as Ein and another known as Xantos Pyro. Later on in that gym class, Leon's sight would notice another figure, who would later be identified as Carlos Fernandez.
In the midst of the day's afternoon, Leon strolled through the woods to meet two people that would play an important role in the Knight's identity in Varron. That of Kira Karyuudo and Maverik. The two had been in the midst of conversation when Leon interrupted, and Leon hastily excused himself in embarrassment of being so rude.
In the next few days, Leon would come to meet Carlos yet again in the courtyard at the entrance of Varron, and a veteran of the Academy named Jazz. Leon did not converse with Jazz much, but he did with Carlos, and it would forge the friendship that would come to follow in the months to come.
Later in that week, Leon entered the Woods yet again, unknown that the last time he had done so his head was being viewed by an Assassin. While the murderer did not intend to kill him yet, his intentions would come to haunt Leon's Departure from Varron for a short time. While in the Woods around the campus, Leon discovered an unconscious and dying Carlos Fernandez. Without question, Leon rushed him off to the local Hospital, where Leon discovered that his new friend had dangerous connections to Loire's loathed Rival, a man who had adapted a false identity, or at least one Leon knew as false. He called himself Seifer Almasy, and his actions and complete intimidation of the real thing would slowly draw the line of Leon's sanity.
After several hours of recovery, drinking and conversing, Leon and Carlos knew much of each other's pasts, and vowed to fight side by side to defeat the Emperor Almasy. This vital event would bring the alliance between the two through many dangers.
Later on in his first week, Leon was confronted with a note written by the mysterious man known as Maverik. The Elite of the Academy was apparently interested in Leon's alignments and skill, and challenged him to a "Test". This spar was blade to blade, fusing combat with psychological warfare. In the end, Maverik somewhat understood a bit of Leon's past, and discovered that the Knight would aid him in the school's protection. From then on, Leon would look up to Maverik as his "mentor" in terms of actions for the school.
At the beginning of the second week, Leon came across the poetic music of one Kira Karyuudo, whom was stroking her notes of Piano in a shadowed classroom. What Leon Loire had hoped to be a quiet and intimate conversation soon turned to chaos, however, as Ushanta, Carlos, Pyro and a man named Sathanas arrived on the scene, throwing in their mix of the festivities. Leon eventually convinced them all to leave Kira be, who was in a rising temper due to their actions. At the end of the meeting, Leon walked off in a bit of shame as to ruining Kira's time alone, but she herself soon found him again and spoke with him. After this event, Kira and Leon considered each other as friends, if only just fresh acquaintances.
Later on that week Leon met several other members of the student body, including one Tenchi Sanada that would play somewhat of a role in the early months of Leon's ambitions in Varron. They attempted with the best of their ability to organize music between the group, and yet that plan ultimately failed.
In later weeks, Leon would come to meet two other students who would play an important role in his life: the co-leader of the student body, Kazuki Shinato, and his friend and close ally Kokaku Musha. Both seemed powerful and respectful beings, but the class teacher did not seem to agree, and later that day attempted to gang up on Shinato with his staff companions. Kazuki fought off well, but assistance came to him in the form of Jazz, Kokaku Musha and Leon Loire. They successfully fought off the corruptors, and the four men ran off to escape punishment. But the moments of battle that day would show Leon's lower skills to that of his future allies.
Sometime in the second month of his residence, Leon was pulled into a crisis when his friend Carlos apparently killed a thug on the grounds of Varron in a fight, causing Kazuki to prepare for a severe punishment. The conflict caused tensions not only between the defendant and prosecution, but also between Leon Loire and his fresh new allies. Leon came to odd views with Kazuki, who intended to harm his friend Carlos, and Kokaku, who intended to hold Leon back. Leon's breaking down of tears from the fear of another death caused the fight to end rather rapidly, and yet again, Leon brought the evil of Carlos out into the Light and slowly distinguishes it yet again. This Parking Lot quarrel will cause uneasy relations between Kazuki, Kokaku and Leon for quite some time.
In the later weeks of the month, Leon would come to meet a man known as Reno Varaquilex, as well as eye out the warrior Kaveh Bishop and several other students that are no longer knowledgeable to his memory. At the eve of the second month, however, Leon came across a European styled Plaza, where he practiced his Saxophone playing once again, only to attract the attention of Kira Karyuudo once more. But eventually other of his friends showed up, such as Carlos, Pyro and Tenchi. Leon found a way to scurry them off to make Kira feel better, and from there Leon spent the rest of the evening laughing and blushing with Kira as they spoke and teased of life. This event has its importance, but of what exactly? Only the Knight knows...
In his rise of the third month, Leon Loire arrived in a pleasant little flower shop that sold flowers and accessories. What caught Leon off guard was that a certain woman, that of Kira Karyuudo yet again, worked there. Just as he was about to open conversation with his endeared friend, Xantos Pyro arrives, causing tensions in the black haired maiden. While Pyro slowly realizes the discomfort, a rather important figure arrives to order flowers for his famed restaurant, that Leon would discover to be known as Crepps. This man was none other than Shamino Warhen, a man that the fresh Junior had no idea of his long listed reputation. After Shamino's leave and Pyro's, Leon takes his own departure for home, only to return to pick up Kira, who needs a ride home. The drive gives them a chance to speak, but in truth, not much.
In the midst of the third month, Leon launches an investigation into the history of his allies, his single enemy and the background of the school itself. While his studies in the Library may have led to some interesting wonders, the former School Marshall finds Carlos Fernandez and Tenchi Sanada to be around him, and the rather rich Tenchi suggests for his two friends to follow him to his offices for information. The two accept, and a long and frustrating sequence of events lead to Leon gaining some slight information on Seifer, but more so on Tenchi's background, Carlos' ego, and the truth behind the Assassin, the Bounty Hunter Vincent Burne. This caused Leon to prepare for war, but it was only a few weeks away.
Leon’s Departure; Jaina’s betrayal As such, Leon prepared over a mere course of a week, and left the City for a two month period in what has become known as Leon's Departure. In the day before his planned leave with his ally Carlos for the city of Manerin, where they believed to find Seifer and defeat him, Leon was confronted by the Bounty Hunter Vincent Burne and his dozens of thugs. While Loire would have easily lost his life if alone, his friends and allies quickly came to his aid, some slaying the Hunters without question or mercy, others holding sincere human emotion and not slaying a soul. And yet there were other assassins that slew in Leon's defense with a cold heart. Leon battled against Burne, and disarmed his blade, but Burne dishonored himself by pulling a firearm and disarming Leon, before holding him hostage for several moments by a tall tree, making him believe that he would die. Leon felt the euphoria of his possible end drawing near, and he felt sadness and agony at the thought. But Seifer had other thoughts, and had Burne slain before it was too late. With Burne's death, Leon rushed off deeper into the Woods, to find Seifer watching. They briefly did battle, but the clashing of sword ended when Leon discovered a horrible idea: in Leon's absence from his old school, his lover Jaina Schaffen had been brain washed by Seifer, and was now known only as Sorceress Shayna. The old Kingdom was under Seifer's jurisdiction, and the "Sorceress" had helped him. Leon left for Manerin City, but not before saying goodbye to his friends and leaving his adorned amulet, the Griever, to be safe kept by Kira Karyuudo.
In the two months to come, Leon and Carlos traveled to Manerin, collected intelligence, and in the end, assaulted Seifer's Cathedral Headquarters. But while Carlos completed his own intentions of rescuing his girlfriend, Leon confronted Seifer. The two fought fiercely in blade combat of their Gunblades, and Leon actually won the fight, but soon his fears had come true. Jaina, or Shayna as she claimed herself, arrived, and struck down a dumbstruck Leon Loire with a flurry of Damascus forged daggers. Leon's breathing grew short as one dagger pierced his left lung and heart, and sent him flying out of the Cathedral, in what was meant to be his death. In the process, Leon's former blade, the Revolver Gunblade, was shattered beyond repair. Yet Leon's intended death never occurred, for his former ally Toshikuni Sekine arrived on the scene and pulled him away, just as a set of explosives in the building detonated, incinerating the complex.
Revelation Arriving back in Varron City a week later, a severely wounded Leon was forced to witness the rise of a darker Maverik. His apparent past had come to haunt him, and in the process his own brother (or at least whom he thought was his brother) was slain. Maverik and Leon had a brief confrontation, before Maverik left the city and Leon found himself struggling desperately with his wounds. Kira Karyuudo arrived and assisted him in making off to the Hospital, where Leon underwent surgery to fix the damage caused. Here Leon would realize how lucky he was to have Kira as a friend, but soon this peace would end, when Toshikuni Sekine arrives and blames the events of agony, pain and possible death on Kira, who forcibly struck back, before charging off. Leon rose from his bed, pulled on his attire, and "disciplined" Sekine on speaking in such a manner to his friends, especially one such as Kira. After checking up on Karyuudo, Leon prepared to leave the Hospital, but not before a moment of catching up with his ally Katsu and his own intentions of leaving Varron for a small time.
A month of recovery would pass before Leon would come into crisis again, at the return of his friend Maverik to Varron. His darker soul was now reinforced, and the holy enlightened Leon Loire confronted him as he attempted to assassinate his mother. Maverik's close friend Kokaku arrived as well, causing a major conflict of beliefs. The blinded Leon Loire morally fought against Maverik and Kokaku, who were apparently brothers, but his lack of understanding in their past harmed his words. Eventually, Leon left the two to their own accord, their conflicts still in check.
The next day, the crisis continued with a furious battle between Kazuki Shinato and Maverik, best friends yet greater rivals. The two aimed to kill, and in support of this was a corrupted Kokaku, in the mind set of a being named "Shoaku". Leon arrived on the scene and prevented Shoaku from interfering in their dual to the death, but in so causing a battle between them. Leon lost tremendously against the enhanced Shoaku, but it was too late for him to intervene in his brother's affairs, for Kazuki rushed his opponent and hurled him off the roof of the school building they were fighting on, believing he would die. Maverik never did, for he disappeared, with nothing more than a small Asian man carrying four letters.
The Classmen Tournament Shortly after a discussion with Kira, Leon read the letter given to him, and remembered his moments with Maverik before his departure. From that point on, a few weeks were spent simply acting as a student of Varron Academy. Yet a few weeks later, Leon joined in a Classmates Tournament that School Captain intended as a fashion for her to recruit “Class Captains” to aid her against the Council’s most recent menace: the Five Evils, composed of Marcus, Rick, Violet, Cain, and Kayko. Leon fought in the Junior division, defeating the newcomer fighter Pine Treefellow, and barely defeating the famed Kaveh Bishop (although OOC wise it was due to disqualification). When he reached the final three way match for the title, he found against a new student named Bane, and his friend Kokaku Musha. Leon and Kokaku mostly worked together to fight against Bane, in belief that they needed to press him out of the way for the true candidates to succeed. But Bane proved a tougher match than expected, and after a series of tricks against him, Kokaku forfeited the match for Loire to battle Bane alone. Leon won, and was entitled the rank of Junior Captain, next to Dain Gavyns as Senior Captain, Donar Kvist as Sophomore Captain, and Auroth Lin as Freshman Captain.
The Attack on Varron Academy Almost immediately following his new promotion, Leon and the rest of the student body were caught off guard by a terrorist bombing attack on Varron Academy itself. The assailant was none other than Marcus Lawson himself, the infamous (and unofficial) leader of the “Five Evils” group. Using a series of strategically placed explosives at the famed fountain, clock tower, furnace room and the second floor Science sector, Lawson succeeded in slaying dozens, if not more than a hundred, innocent Varron Academy students. As several students charged off to confront Marcus, Leon Loire and Dain Gavyns, a new acquaintance of Leon, charged off into the burning building, as Kokaku Musha dealt with the remainder of the explosives, and Lawson retreated from harm. Leon dashed through the building searching from his beloved friend Kira Karyuudo, who lay unconscious underneath a pile of caved-in rubble. Leon arrived to find her, but not in danger, but in the arms of a masked man that would later by identified as Maverik. He passed Kira to Leon, and Loire dashed out of the building with Gavyns helping him escape.
Eventually, Karyuudo would find herself at the Hospital, and while Leon intended to see her, he was beaten to her side by the returning Maverik. Unable to see Kira due to Hospital policy, Loire was turned away by his very own Azumi Philanaski, and he walked out the building in defeat with Dain Gavyns at his side.
Soon after, Dain led an effort to pick up the pieces of Varron Academy, and through his selflessness, he began a major effort to clean up and pressure the Council to revive the broken school. Many members of the Fighting community of Varron City were involved, and Leon himself attempted to help through more musical means. Yet Dain’s actions would be optimized when Kazuki Shinato presented the immortal monument to Varron’s lost students. Eventually Marcus would cause conflict and Kazuki would force him out, but no true controversies would follow – save for the incident of one Shuya Katsumoto crashing into the still tender Kira Karyuudo.
The Confrontation Again, conflict and chaos seemed to evade Varron Academy as the year dragged on, and even after a brief yet meaningful sparring duel with Dain Gavyns and an even more brief conversation with Leon’s new ally Sebastian, the final battle between the Five Evils and the Elites of Varron Academy arrived. Leon played a minor role in the event as he watched Dain Gavyns and Marcus Lawson compete for the fate of Dain’s kidnapped sister Lisa Gavyns.
Final Days On what was to be Leon Loire’s last days as a Junior Classmen, and therefore the Junior Captain, of Varron Academy, he came across a situation involving an unknown student assaulting a pair of innocent bystanders. He seemed intent on finding some information regarding Marcus Lawson. Interested, Leon attempted to work alongside the one known as Bruce to calm the man. Eventually, Leon successfully persuaded the man, known as Adam, to have a conversation regarding a possible connection.
The Battle of Varron Plaza No. 7 On the night of the School Formal, Leon Loire found himself in his favorite of all locations in the city, Varron Plaza No. 7, intent on relaxing nearby the courtyard fountain, perhaps listen to the local orchestra play a tune, and then pay his futile respects to God in the Catholic Cathedral nearby. Yet, an instant later, the Cathedral exploded into flame, and in a matter of seconds, the Plaza followed, with more than a dozen unidentified terrorist forces arriving to gun down and press back the local civilian population. As Leon tried to react, a literal circle of flame surrounded him, and as the Cross of Blood was complete within the circle, Leon was confronted by his Rival, Seifer Almasy. The two soon engaged one another, and as their duel matched blade to blade, white-blue to blood red, they soon realized that they were still evenly matched. Little did Loire realize that the battle outside the flames grew more sinister, as his ally Katsumashiro attempted to break through the line. Eventually the sky filled with more than black skies and gray fumes, as the clouds parted to flood the world with forgiving rain. Yet that rain never forgave Leon Loire, as it slew the flame entrapment that surrounded him, and slickened the stone floor underneath him. Seifer pressed the offensive, when Leon was trapped to the fountain behind him, Seifer skewered him with the Hecate, pulled out a switch, and framed Loire by making it seem that he caused the next explosion; this time to the Plaza tower. Yet before death, Seifer made his final statement:
"So ends your life and your legacy, Leon Loire."

Current History, ContinuedHospitalization, Arrest and DiscoveryImmediately after falling unconscious, Leon is rescued from Kira Karyuudo; yet the girl was unable to drag Loire to safety. In the midst of attempting to revive Leon, the warrior known as Katsumashiro arrives on the scene attempts to combat ‘Seifer’, but is savagely gunned down by the Mercenary Commander. Just when Seifer believes that he has completely succeeded against Leon Loire at last, an unmarked Jeep Wrangler rapidly drives into the scarred Plaza with a fired weapon and picks up the unconscious Loire and his aiding Karyuudo. The Jeep drives off, leaving Seifer alone and frustrated. The Jeep wouldn’t make it very far, however, as the infamous Police Officer Antonio Cortez pulls them over, leaves the driver of the Jeep – Dain Gavyns in disguise – alone with Kira, and takes Loire to the hospital in his own vehicle. Meanwhile, the Mentor to Loire known as Maverik arrives on the scene and quickly confronts Almasy to retrieve Leon’s fallen weapon, the Lionheart[/i]. He succeeds in retrieving it, but suffers painful injuries nonetheless. In the meantime, Leon Loire arrives at the hospital still in a critical condition. He is hauled off by the Military to a secure room of the Hospital, and is placed under heavy surveillance. For eight days Leon’s friends Dain and Kira wait along with Ran Ling Xiao while the rest of Varron City believe Leon Loire to have been the culprit of the Plaza attacks; ‘Seifer’ makes claims that he was the leader of the Mercenaries who fought against “Leon Loire’s Knight’s Guard.” Either way, Loire is given the title of Terrorist for the attack, and is believed to be fated for Federal Court. When he finally awakes, Leon has a brief time with his friends Kira, Dain, Carlos, Maverik, and Ran and Sakura as well. But at last Loire is forced out of his bed and dragged off to what be believes his death. After what seems like a long drive, Leon Loire arrives at the local Courthouse to be hold ‘Prisoner’. But what he finds is an interrogation room filled with the traitorous General Odine, and ‘Seifer’, now known as Lieutenant Major Alec Domnovic. The two military men explain to Leon of the true circumstances of his past: Alex Thompson Jr. had been a target from the Government to be influenced into becoming a “Fighter for the Corporal Punishment System”, or in other words, a strong able teenage leader that would combat to aid and succeed the Corporal Punishment System of the Conservative United States. This key discovery tells Leon everything: that Seifer’s rivalry with him had been a hoax, that their war had inadvertently attempted to influence another form of A.J. Thompson to evolve, and that Odine had been the fault to Jaina Schaffen’s fall into being a “Sorceress”. Supposedly the girl had a rare disease of “Parallel Personalities”, and she had been living a life of Occultist and High School Student both; Odine had merely melded the two to become one dangerous assassin. Yet against all this, Leon proudly claimed and argued that those events had led him to become a Liberal Warrior that wished to battle the Corporal Punishment System, and the events of his battle with Seifer Almasy, no matter the conspiracy, had led to what he was. Leon suddenly defends himself strongly against the two men as they attempt to inject him with an unknown fluid, but to no avail. The serum turns out to be a prototype Amnesia drug, and soon Leon is turned into a ‘fresh slate’ of his former self. Alexander Thompson Junior had been forced from the grave. The Naïve A.J. ThompsonThe beginning of Alex’s journey in Varron City began in a frightening loss; the young man believed that he had gone from driving with his friend Jaina Schaffen on a country road, to finding himself on foot in an unknown city, without Jaina or the vehicle in clear sight. Alex grows fearful and even tearful, but he is eventually recovered by a local businessman by the name of Alec Domnovic and sheltered in a nearby apartment building. Alex would find the apartment and clothing inside the place fitting, but there was one odd detail of the place: a silver white vault built into the closet that’s five-key password was based on the answer to an inscribed riddle: To the Lady that connects my life to Him As if we were Brothers Yet one in the same Let her name be written now So that it may be known to thee Either way, Alexander Thompson Junior, and soon finds himself preparing for to explore the unknown city of Varron. On his first day of school, Alex confronts a random student that attempts to intimidate him, and Alex decides to take down the man in order to discover information. After dealing with the combatant, Alex is crashed into by Melysa Rouleau, an eccentric young woman that was attempting to sell the young man something; soon enough, other figures such as Carlos Fernandez and Jellar Feint. Later on that day, A.J. comes across a rather harsh recruitment for some rising Gang in Varron Academy. Alex attempts to keep himself hidden, but is eventually discovered by a figure later identified as Stern Mason, while his ally Zeniro Tangaroa attacks another student named Aryck Venn. Eventually Stern would recruit Aryck Venn into whatever Gang he was aiming to form through Zeniro’s methods of ‘testing’ him. Alex escapes unscathed and untouched. While on a walk through the woods, Alex comes across a fellow student lying in the grass; talking to him for a small bit, Alex is soon met by Carlos again, and soon enough, Melysa arrives yet again to crash with Alex. As A.J. sits embarrassingly underneath Mel, an unknown woman arrives and begins insulting Alex as if she knows him; yet they’d never met! Supposedly Alex was being referred to as ‘Leon’, and the girl was referring to Melysa as if she were some other woman. Eventually, Alex begins to regain sudden memories of his “Past”, and begins to wonder if perhaps the girl – Kira Karyuudo – was right. Melysa becomes upset by the sudden change in Alex’s attitude and runs off, but Alex cannot do a thing to help her, and can’t help but wonder if perhaps this Kira is right. Running off into the woods, Alex leads Kira and Carlos back to his apartment to investigate the key to what could be his “Past”. The Return of Leon LoireAfter leading Carlos and Kira to his apartment, Alex returns to the vault of the inscription and questions himself of the password. An unknown amount of time passes, but eventually a considerable possibility for the name passes through his mine, and Alexander Thompson Junior decides to follow it: the Password was RINOA. Once opened, the vault revealed a number of items that had a major effect on the past of Leon Loire, bringing his memories back to the surface rapidly, and revitalizing the mind of the Varronian Warrior. Now returned to his rightful mindset and seeing the truth of his past clearly, Leon Loire cleans himself up and collects his things, quickly reunites with his two friends Kira and Carlos, and heads off to regain his weapon from Alec Domnovic. Later on, Leon Loire would attempt to clear himself of the Federal charges against him by inserting a piece of evidence to the local Varron Police; the commission decides to deem Leon innocent, but still place him on probation until proven innocent. Academic ChaosOnce returning to Varron Academy, Leon Loire comes into first account of the damage being caused by certain Gang orders of the new Varron hierarchy. When he arrives at Varron Academy under his true identity, Leon is openly attacked by a mob of students, and while Leon holds off, the battle would have been forfeit if it had not been for Kokaku Musha to jump into the conflict. Later that week, with his former Terrorist title still haunting him, Leon Loire comes across a five-way war occurring in the Cafeteria. Leon attempts to use Diplomacy and respect to end the conflict, but Darren Shields (later to be confirmed as a member of Stern Mason’s Gang) begins playing with the heads of the Gang Leaders in the war, attempting to press them against Leon. Bruce Gills, Junpei Lee, Jellar Feint and even Pinefresh Treefellow and fifteen Genaht Gang members come to aid Leon against the accusations; at last, Stern Mason himself proves Darren’s lies, but then attempts to force those Gangs to join under him in the Gang he serves. Leon resists, and the two clash in a quarrel of wits. Eventually, Stern’s power of fear gains the win, and he gains the five gangs under his rule, leaving Leon Loire to make a vital decision: he will fight to become Captain of Varron Academy. In accordance with his intentions to become Captain, Leon Loire visits with former Captain Victoria Alexander, but soon finds that she completely disagrees with the concept of chasing after the Captain title altogether, but rather stay in the shadows to aid Varron. Leon disagrees, and eventually the two end the discussion on an ill word. Later on, Leon gets word from his mentor Azumi Philanaski of a serious matter regarding a young man named Adam Rydell – known to Leon Loire as Pain Killer. Leon arrives to speak with Adam, and discovers that he never succeeded to work for Marcus Lawson, and even became a friend of Dain Gavyns; however, Dain was on his way to speak with the attacker of Adam – hence why he was in the hospital. The attacker was none other than Adam’s own brother Trent Rydell. After a while, Leon and Carlos confront each other in a spar that had been meant to occur for a good long time. On the roof, Leon Loire is challenged to a “Test” by Dain Gavyns’ “Apprentice” Tyler Scott, known to Leon as Kyukaku. The two share a comfortable spar against one another, and while Kyukaku does well to keep Leon on his toes, the Knight succeeds to make Kyukaku submit. In school, Leon attends one of his more favorite classes: AP U.S. History, taught by Mr. Edward Stevens; Leon’s classmates include Kira, Ran, Audrey Pierce, and Jellar Feint. The class discusses matters relating to the Colonial age and the rise of the Revolution. Leon begins to try and rant over various points of the war in his opinion, but Edward clearly attempts to argue against Leon’s opinion and regard his opinion (rightfully) as the just opinion. Jellar is eventually thrown out of class for interrupting the teacher for trying to back up Leon’s “incorrect” statement. The Final Departure of MaverikOne day, Leon receives a call from Maverik to come to his apartment; he soon finds Dain Gavyns and Kokaku Musha already there, and Kira Karyuudo on her way. Once the three are ready to listen in on Maverik’s statement, their friend confesses that he is on his way to depart from Varron City forever, and wished to say his goodbyes. No one resists, but everyone feels the pressure of the occasion. Everyone was given a “gift” of sorts; Kokaku was given the acceptance of his beloved brother; Dain Gavyns was given Maverik’s contacts and resources, allowing him to become the “Ends” of the Legion’s Campaign; Leon was given Maverik’s place as Guardian of Varron, giving him the “Means” to justify the battle against the System; and Kira was given a last romantic mention of Maverik’s love to her. All three replied in their thankful goodbyes, Kira was given Maverik’s book, and the mentor of Loire’s life was left behind forever. Preparation for WarIn an attempt to gain more allies for his crusade to take the Captainship, Leon decides to begin hunting for Gangs that would support him. He receives a call from Pinefresh Treefellow to come and speak with Ein Gilsin; the meeting is met with large rants of Leon, and small counters from Ein. In the end, the only result is that Ein and Leon would be allies against the latest threat to Varron’s society: Stern Mason’s nameless masses of Gang power. Only briefly later, Leon happens to be in the Bar & Grill of Kazuki Shinato’s – and now Dain Gavyns’ – The Edge, when he is greeted by Akamaru Koragu and the ‘owner’ of the restaurant. Dain and Akamaru lead Leon to the V.I.P section of the bar soon enough and reunite him with the supposedly dead ‘Legend of Varron’, Kazuki Shinato, now known technically as Taiku Akimoto. Kazuki firstly gives his Katana to Loire for him to take care of, and in respect, Leon begins to call the blade Shinato’s Blade, and later Izou. Afterwards, the two discuss Politics regarding Kazuki’s Gang known as Legion. The Murderer Rydell; the Bladesman SathanasWhile at home, Leon is called up by his bandmate Lisa Hughes for a pickup when he hears mention in the background of a confrontation between Kyukaku and a “Blade wielding man asking for the best in Varron.” Leon instantly reacts, tells Lisa to run off to their Jazz club “The Old Folk Blues”, and soon finds himself wearing a tattered old cloak to hide his identity and wielding Shinato’s Blade Izou. After a rapid and slightly painful conflict with Leon and Trent, Leon soon finds the wounded Kyukaku, who had been stabbed by Trent in the midst of a deadly arm lock. Leon leads Kyukaku to safety at the Jazz bar. About a week later, Leon is given a note for a request by a man named Tim Masters to come challenge him in blade combat. Leon grudgingly agrees, and the two spare with Leon Loire’s Lionheart[/color] to Tim Master’s Glaive. After the duel, Leon and Tim share a drink or two to share experiences, and Leon discovers the curious notion that General Odine, his former mentor, was a “black sheep” in the United States military community. Master’s own father had been a constant thorn in Odine’s side, and the Army man was clearly disliked throughout all of the private black books of American government. So why accept his experiments of student manipulation? It was clear: the Conservatives still in power needed any edge to hold onto the Corporal Punishment System, and if the military itself was beginning to dislike the core supporter of “The System”, then it was clear that the days of student oppression were numbered once again. All it would take was making a push into a shove… The Attack on Kira KaryuudoOn one sudden day of time in Varron Academy, Leon Loire found himself ignoring his common procedures of strolling the hallways, and suddenly found himself strolling up the stairs toward the rooftop balcony; the reason why? Well, after one sees a bloody blotch across the wall next to the staircase, one comes to wonder… Soon Leon found himself at the roof’s entrance to find a frightening discovery: Kvist, the masked leader of the Hand of Fate, holding a broken and bloodied Kira Karyuudo in his grip, before dropping her mangled form below, a rope connected to her knees preventing a final end. The fear of her loss seemed to drive Leon into a vigilant state, and as he strode forward his eyes completely ignored the presence of a second villain on the roof: Shuya Katsumoto. Striking forth without a word of warning, Leon Loire attacked Kvist, and for several moments the two were trapped in combat. Their skills were matched, and throughout the mass of combat neither succeeded in a complete strike. Eventually, however, the scene was interrupted by the arrival of Kira Karyuudo’s friend Hikari Shinodai, who had prepared a hopeful plan to prevent Kira’s imminent death. Yet Hikari was intercepted by Katsumoto, and while his own presence would have possibly prevented rescue, the arrival of Legion member Tyler “Kyukaku” Scott along with a handful of other Legion followers tipped the favors in Loire’s aid. Kvist and Shuya both escaped in their own paths, and Loire and Hikari were able to recover Karyuudo and deliver her to safety at the local Hospital. Once there, Kira Karyuudo was placed in Emergency recovery, and Leon Loire was forced to face the plain fact that he indeed cared for the girl, even if his own better logic fought it. However, this new acceptance seemed to conflict with another painful discovery: Taiku Akimoto, known to Leon as Kazuki Shinato, was also in love with Kira, and far more willing to accept and embrace his care then Leon ever felt necessary. The idea of finally having love again seemed to bring a bit of ease in Leon; the idea of Shinato snatching that away brought back the frustrations of the Karyuudo-Loire-Maverik triangle once again. After arriving at the hospital and briefly clashing with Kazuki – not even a clash, more of a childish silence to one another, mostly Loire’s accepted fault – Leon decided that he needed time alone, and took off to the Streets of Varron on his own; even against Hikari’s protests. Once in the concrete jungle, Leon found himself easing himself at the formerly broken Varron Plaza No. 7, a place that had once been devastated by his own personal war with Alec Domnovic. Irony aside, of all people to be expected there, Alec Domnovic was not one of them. Finding himself at the café, Leon was invited to a table across from a man hiding behind a newspaper. The product of the media quickly fell, and leaning back behind that protective wall was Loire’s eternal rival. For a moment Leon felt the sudden need to stand up and briskly walk away, the insult of Domnovic’s scoffing nearly too much for the man to take. Yet the soldier quickly cleared his intentions and explained the current situation of the world to Leon Loire: after Domnovic’s attack on Leon in the plaza and the media’s claim that Loire was the terrorist mind behind the destruction of the plaza and the slaying of the innocent bystanders - quickly followed by Leon’s time as Alex, his return to the Academy as his own mindset by escaping Odine’s experimental “Amnesia” medication, and placing forth evidence aiming the finger of guilt at Domnovic and Odine – the military and the NSA placed an investigation into General Odine’s black list projects, forcing progress to a brick-scratching halt. The General was threatened with connections to Domnovic, and Domnovic was indicted on charges of treason to the military and the organization of a crime syndicate. Alec himself seemed to see that his time was running dry, and that whatever plans he intended would be rapidly accelerated, but with this in mind, he had no time to worry over his rivalry with Loire. Therefore, the military Major offered Leon a fate: live his life out without worry of Domnovic invading it, and the only catch was that, by June of the coming year, the two rivals would meet one last time to settle their bloody score. No matter the fact that Odine still intended to capture and destroy Leon Loire – while leaving open a fresh slate of subconscious to redesign – the young man could easily see the advantage of having Alec Domnovic off his back. He could live his life, concern himself with Kira at long last, and perhaps work to leaving behind a legacy that would aid the world on its path to freedom. “I accept” is the clear reply, and within moments, the two take their separate paths, and Leon returned to Karyuudo’s side as she awoke and recovered. The End of Varron Academy One day after Christmas, Leon Loire found himself sitting on the couch in his apartment, his eyes looking on his television screen for the first time in a few days – considering, as of late, the only activity that required the old thing was related to his old Xbox. On that old tele’ were scenes captured from news channel 4: the fiery corpse of a building once known and now remembered as “The Edge.” Supposedly the Hand of Fate had finally made a strike against Legion and Taiku, and thus far, they cleared succeeded. The Edge was gone, and no one knew what had happened to either side of the battle. However, the residents of Varron City found out very quickly just what had happened to the attackers. Within days, the Hand of Fate was within view again, this time striking strategic assaults against various strongholds throughout Varron: supermarkets, alleyways, abandoned apartments, any location that had once been or currently used as a base of operations for any faction. For several days the streets were filled with battery and bloodshed, as the Hand defeated Gang after Gang, and recruited whoever surrendered. With Legion out of sight – supposedly licking their wounds – and Genaht uninterested in intervening unless provoked, the Hand collected a force strong enough to rival the local Police force, and seemed intent on conquering the Academy. Leon Loire knew what was coming, and felt the need to prepare for it. One day walking down a ruined pass, he saw a police cruiser pull over, and within seconds the two officers were baring down on the young man. Without resistance or argument, Leon was in custody, and brought into the district headquarters. The reason was simple: searching for answers, and considering Leon’s name was bound to pop up from a few suggestions, he was sure to have some sort of understanding of what was going on. As it turned out, that fact was actually an assumption, and the real reason was far more personal. Only a few minutes after being sat down in an interrogation room, the door opened to reveal General Odine himself, a smirk on his face and a soldier by his side. The older man revealed that an FBI agent had revealed to the public a report on Varron Academy’s notorious corruption, and simply within hours of the release and the investigation on the school’s overseers – the Varron City Council – the seated Conservatives quickly collected to cut their losses and shut down the school with a claim that “The Academy was the source of the Gang violence, and shutting the school down would aid the FBI in defeating the violent youth.” With his school now gone and his city supposedly leaving him, Odine revealed that the Federal Government had taken private pity upon Odine due to claims of “Using whatever means necessary to combat the violence of the youth”, and secretly released Odine under claims of “lacking evidence against him.” Odine’s projects were now restored to him, and with Leon Loire now unprotected by the Academy and his allies, Odine would have no trouble in bringing back the claims of terrorism against the youth and arresting him, before erasing his mind and beginning the operation once more. Restlessly resisting, Leon Loire was dragged off to a cell, waiting for his fate, and his end. The Invitation to a new Fate: Hircine High As Leon Loire sat impatiently on his cold bed, the city itself became a war zone. The Federal Bureau of Investigation suited up and engaged Kvist’s forces, wiping them clean from their safehouses and eventually ringing the city clean of the violence. The final judgment had been called, and now a change had come in defeat. Yet while Leon believed himself finally destined to “die”, a stranger arrived beside a pair of Police officers; the coppers opened his cell and released him, and the unknown stranger began to explain to Leon the reason why. The stranger told Leon that the city council had ordered all Varron students to be spread across the state to various schools, but about ten percent of the Academy’s students were “too dangerous for acceptance”, considering Varron Academy was their last chance. These students seemed doomed to being wanderers or prisoners, yet suddenly a school far out west – in Leon’s home state of California – suddenly sent invitation to these students; they were being invited to have their second chance at a school known as Hircine High. Leon himself had been in this ten percent, and had been given the invitation; however, due to a glitch designed by Odine, he disappeared from that list and was to be forgotten. The stranger fixed that glitch, and brought the tangible invitation, as well as a ticket to a train leaving for San Francisco in one week’s time, and offered Leon his final fate: “Leave for the Hunt again, or leave this world as the Hunted.” Leon Loire accepted the invitation, and therefore, chose a fate that – while only temporary to his own battle with Domnovic – was far better than to be in the hands of Odine. Slipping back to his apartment before Odine’s men realized his absence, Leon packed his things, jumped into his Mustang, and found the home of his mentor Azumi Philanaski, where he would lay in the shadows until it were time to leave Varron City at last, and soon find himself in the new school of Hircine High. ---End of the Varron Academy Histories---
