[Here we go! Thanks Dain.]
He paid the cash, read the rules, signed the forms and cut through all of the red tape. Alkaiser was free to injure or be injured at his own discretion now, and the knowledge that he could do so was quite enticing as he stepped forward from the crowd on the rooftop. The last fight had just concluded, giving Steve some interesting ideas and preconceptions of this competition. The bright Saturday sun was sizzling on the rooftop, or at least it felt as such considering the fact that it was late November. The temperature couldn't have been above 55 degrees, but it seemed like the perfect conditions for a rumble regardless.
The area was bigger than the tournament rings, not to mention the fact that there was no solid edge to the action. People would move if you got close to them, so there really wasn't anything to concern yourself with as far as bounds until you got to the very edge of the rooftop. Still, Alkaiser runs around, judging his speed in case he needed to put it to the test in this battle. He looks around for his opponent momentarily, but sees no one step forward. He stretches all of his muscles and waits for a challenger to step forward.

Vince would only grin was he mingled in the crowd. He was here to fight more than watch fights so it was only amusing how underestimated he seemed to be when he spoke to people. Their words were similar, he was too skinny, he wasn't much of a fighter, he'd only win if he could talk the other guy unconscious.
Vince laughed at the very high possibility that he just might talk the other guy till he was knocked out, it was certainly apart of the strategy. Still, he couldn't help but wonder as he spoke to Genaht and unaffiliated alike that he wasn't going to get a chance to fight yet. That was untill a messenger came up to tell him it was his turn and that his opponent was already in the ring.
Vince would walk up to the edge of the human circle. He didn't want to step in quite yet. Vince would watch his opponent as he ran around, his mind judging the best way to accomplish a victory. Honor and morality certainly weren't an issue as the rules never said anything about jumping another person or not. Sure his mystery judge might not like it, but effectiveness was effectiveness. It was also the most logical thing to do.
Vince would wait till Alkaiser ran towards him, when he turned he would step forward quickly and deliver a harsh kick with his right foot to his opponents right foot. The effect would be simple, his opponent's feet would be taken out from under him and more than likely he would be on the ground face first. After which all Vince had to do is keep him there.
It wasn't the most honorable thing ever, but the Mouth of Genaht was more concerned about winning with as little wounds as possible rather than being what some people considered "moral".

[Cool start. I was wondering if you would do such a thing, or if anybody would for that matter.]
Steve falls to the ground, as if he had just tripped over his own feet. He had felt someone's foot, however, and was immediately put on guard. He throws his hands to the ground to break his fall and send him forward, crawling quickly into the crowd. He didn't have far to go, as he was tripped up near the edge, and the people didn't even have time to move out of the way. The purpose was simple; to give him time to assess the situation.
Barzahd was by no means hidden. The spectators all reacted to his presence among them, so whoever it was that tripped him knew where he was. The idea of diving into the crowd, however, is to break the line of sight, as well as the line of fire. Truth be told, the assailant could still attack, but he'd be doing so blind, as well as going through innocent bystanders. Hopefully there was a line that the judge would draw for audience participation, lying somewhere around bringing harm to the spectators.
As soon as possible, Steve is back on his feet, and wading through the people who clear a small path for him. If he could observe someone following him closely, that was his opponent. If nobody followed, he would be able to get back out to the fighting area safely without having to worry about being blindsided again. He keeps his eyes in the direction of the spot where he tripped watching for any movement as he goes along.
Eventually, Alkaiser would know the identity of his adversary. For now, the main priority was making it safely back to the arena so that a true match could start.

Vince found it admirable that his opponent was able to get his arms under him so quickly. He was even moving to turn and get into the safety of the crowd. Still, one could only move so fast down on his hands and Knees and Vince would certainly take advantage of that fact.
Vince's fingers would intertwine, his two hand becoming a large heavy striking fist. His arms would raise, He would take one step forward while his opponent turned on the ground and then he would swing his with his combined arm strength downwards onto his opponents back, Kneeling in the process to get a good bit of his weight into the blow.
He didn't expect to floor his opponent again, Vince didn't weigh enough to strike that heavily, but he knew he would cause a lasting pain and more than likely a large bruise on his opponents back. After this, he would just have to keep the Former Genaht member on the run. Keep him down and strike him hard with every opportunity that presented itself.

"I'm not going to make it!!!" Alkaiser thought to himself frantically as he scrambled for the sidelines, looking backward the whole way. On the positive side, he now at least knew which figure was chasing him, although he didn't have time to give thought to where he recognized the face from yet. He was too busy trying to come up with something to get him out of this mess.
"A roll? A tackle? Gaaaaah...!" Alkaiser had no idea what he could do to keep from being attacked by the rapidly advancing figure. He was already on his knees, poised to strike at Barzahd. Finally, natural reflex gave in, sending Steve's near leg toward the exposed midsection of the adversary. He watches it fly toward it's target, not impeding it for a moment. From the position Steve was in, such an attack would do plenty more than fend off the other fighter if it hit. Power was plentiful with such a base of attack, and speed was pure reflex, making such an attack speedy beyond compare.
Should Steve connect, he will obviously be surprised at the outcome. He will think the situation over for a minute, awestruck and unable to capitalize on any further openings, which would be the main weakness of relying on instinct and reflex to fight a battle.

Vince's twin handed blow would find a certain amount of force, though it would end much lower on his opponents back as the other mans foot struck him in the chest and forced him backwards. Vince would soon find himself falling backwards and did what his natural reaction demanded him to do.
He unclasped his hands and gripped his opponents leg to try to stay on balance, It would be a fruitless pursuit, as Alkaiser was simply not grounded enough to keep Vince form falling, but it would put him in an advantageous position.
On his back with his opponent's leg in his hands, Vince would turn slightly placing his thigh under his opponent's knee. In one motion, his thigh would raise slightly while he used his arms to pull the leg downwards, torquing the knee joint in the opposite position it was designed for.
It wasn't a particularly good hold, Vince had no real knowledge or experience in them. It was only a matter of time before his opponent broke it, but in the mean time there would be a good amount of damage and pain going on.

Although his spine twinged slightly with the pain of his opponent's double axe-handle, Alkaiser felt proud that his attack had struck it's target, knocking back his opponent with great force and potentially doing some damage that would surface later in the fight. Dazed at the fact that such a maneuver succeeded, however, Steve allows the adversary to hang on to his leg and begin to work it into a hold.
Steve is snapped out of his trance by a sudden pressure on his knee. His leg could very well be hyper extended if he doesn't rectify the situation soon, and he can already feel his muscles stretching to the limit. This fighter was obviously not well versed in holds, but he could still figure out what would cause pain.
Alkaiser wasn't in a very good position for a counter grapple, considering the fact that the opposing fighter was at his legs, so he decides to return a bit of the punishment with a strike. It seemed that both of his arms were occupied with leveraging Barzahd's leg, leaving his midsection exposed once again for Steve's free leg. A second donkey kick is directed straight for the nearest kidney, as Alkaiser seeks to attempt more internal damage by targeting the vital core of the body. He motions to spin in an effort to fall on his shoulder after kicking out his base, freeing up some pressure from the locked joint. Steve should have no problem doing this, as the inexperienced grappler took hold of his leg but neglected to hold the foot to prevent rotation.
Even if the fighter persisted to hold on to the leg, the spin would afford Barzahd the ability to bend his leg, making the current lock quite useless. Should he decide to cut his losses and let Alkaiser to his feet, Barzahd will finally be able to identify the assailant. He'll quickly take defensive stance to avoid being caught off guard again by the trickster.

Vince coughed harshly, his kidney was hurting now and the blow had forced abit of air from his lungs. It was only a reactionary measure that allowed him to keep breath, still this hold was becoming painful. It was only his knowledge that it would cause more problems for his opponent in the long run that he kept it.
When Alkaiser moved to turn over, his leg slipping and turning, Vince knew he had to follow suit. He would keep his grip as best as possible, following his opponent as he turned over and finding he would certainly like this position alot better. He was on top of the leg now, with gravity putting his entire weight down on the knee. All he had to do is pull up.
If he could hold the position for only a split second, Vince would pull up harshly. It wouldn't be at his maximum strength, the blows to the chest and kidney seeing that his strength was starting to be sapped. Still, the possibility was there that the knee could be hyper extended. Something Vince hoped for, as it would certainly give him an mobility advantage he sorely needed against this similar sized and speeded opponent.

Steve hears a cough from the clump of fleshy tissue clinging to his leg. He can smell blood in the water, but still the other man persists. To the surprise of Alkaiser, who finally begins to feel confident that he's battled back to a level fighting ground in this fray, his opponent begins to roll with him, and he'll soon land on the leg with all of his body weight. Barzahd's foot still happens to be in the tender gut of his adversary, however.
Halfway through the roll, Steve extends his free leg out further into the gut of his opponent. This would wreak havoc on his grip, which had to be top notch during a difficult situation like a roll. The greater objective was to free his leg all together, but just moving it so that the opposing fighter's body landed on his stable shin instead of his more vulnerable knee would suffice. At that point, the hold would be relatively useless anyways, and he might be voluntarily liberated.
Legs are naturally stronger than arms, motion causes increased necessity for a solid grip, and pain erodes focus. These three factors were the basis for why Alkaiser believed this to be a good strategy. All that was left was the result, and a potential stand-up fight to come.

Vince would grumble as he was pushed off, He had hardly a second to crank on the knee and knew all it did was provide a momentary discomfort rather than any real lasting damage. Still, that knee was somewhat hurt, he could only hope it would slow his opponent enough for him to gain an advantage.
Vince would end up jumping up somewhat quickly and take afew steps back, he knew better than to stay in range and he rather liked having his back to the wall of men. This was a one on one fight he knew, and that gave him a large amount of comfort.
"So, you know you aren't half bad. Could use abit of work though, gotta make sure you don't make yourself a target."
Vince was ready for Alkaiser, his mind running through the potential attacks he might make. His only regret was that he didn't stick around to keep his foe on the run, instead being abit too defensive in the after thought.
Hindsight is 20/20.

Finally Steve had successfully kicked the still unknown fighter off of his leg. He rolls to his feet cautiously, noting where the fighter is at all times. The man was a good distance away, giving Alkaiser the ability to stand freely. As he puts weight on his knee for the first time, it feels stiff and unnatural, but still workable. Steve feels that he can run on it if he needs to, and that the damage given was greater than that of which he received, so he doesn't put anymore thought on the past events. He simply shakes the leg out a bit to try and limber it up, and he is reassured by a few solid cracks as the joint loosens naturally.
"So, you know you aren't half bad. Could use a bit of work though, gotta make sure you don't make yourself a target."
Well if it wasn't Vince, the mouth of Genaht himself. The voice was uniquely his, but just being in plain view now Steve recognized his old brother in arms. "I might have been able to limit how much of a target I was if I had only know that you were taking aim, Vince. Still, good to see that you're mostly well." Steve grinned, finally knowing the true identity of his assailant. "Well, I guess I could use a little work..."
With that, Alkaiser begins his approach toward Vince. Barzahd lunges in quickly, makes a fist and launches it directly towards the opponent's face. In a last moment maneuver, however, the fist opens up into a claw. It was a feint that Alkaiser had used only once before, but it made so much sense to him just the same. If the opponent tried to guard a strike, Steve would be able to easily latch on to whatever was used to defend. If Vince for some reason let the attack go through, however, he would get a face-full of fingers, which is a very good way to get your eyes poked and temporarily blinded. A dodge is usually the safest way to protect against something such as this, but Alkaiser already took into factor Vince's limited mobility due to his position near the wall of spectators as well as the potential damage from the last exchange. Steve at the same time cocks back his other hand in anticipation.

Vince wore his typical annoying little smirk as he watched his opponent. They knew each other to be sure and Vince wasn't minding the small break to gather abit of energy. His chest and gut still had the lingering feeling of Alkaiser's shoe in them, but it was better than the minor knee injury he inflicted. He just had to keep working it.
The Mouth of Genaht was ready when his foe lunged at him. The (I'm assuming it was the right hand) Right hand of his foe lashing out. Vince would move to his left, just enough, it wasn't enough to get completely out of his foes way. He still fully intended to take the clawed punch into his right shoulder. A somewhat foolish move, if it weren't the response he'd give to that strike.
As Vince would take the blow, it would spin his body, which the Genaht member would further enchance by pivoting on his right foot, while his left lashed out at the back of Alkaiser's already Injured knee. It wasn't a perfect attack, Vince was likely to be falling to the ground almost as sure as his opponent would, with or without success in his attack.
He just hoped it would work, and Alkaiser would take a longer time trying to get up this time.

[OOC: Don't worry about it dude, this isn't a tourney:D]
Vince shifts to the side, allowing Alkaiser's attack to go to his shoulder. He saw the claw and obviously knew that he couldn't let it near his eyes, but he probably wasn't expecting Steve to use the attack in the double-edged sword sort of nature that he did.
Barzahd's hand gets to the shoulder with little force, which was also probably something that Vince was not expecting. As a matter of fact, it probably didn't hurt him much at all. When he went for his opportunity to strike the weakened knee, he would be surprised by the lack of spinning force in his pivot, and especially by the hand grasping the joint. The grip was firm on his well-defined shoulder, not allowing him to be able to reach Alkaiser's knee with his left arm. Even if he should try to slip out, the shirt he wore would remain in Steve's clutches.
Vince had made a vital error in calculation, and that was ignoring an X factor such as the highly variable claw-hand feint of Alkaiser Barzahd. Then again, it's possible that he just didn't see such a possibility coming, but at that point it mattered not. Now, Steve was poised to make an attack of opportunity for himself, targeting the soft gut with a swift knee strike, while at the same time pulling his opponent toward the attack by his shoulder. His right knee would be the one to swing up, putting strain on his injured left. As soon as contact was made he would bring the leg back down to the ground to relieve the strain, meanwhile his left arm would sit cocked at his side.
With all of these strikes to the same areas, these two fighters were all ready looking to potentially end the other's season. A lot of this fight had become damage control, but Vince would soon have a set of broken ribs if he didn't manage to kick that aspect of his game plan up to par.

Vince definately didn't expect the strong grip on his shirt, the lack of force to his spin somewhat prohibiting, but that didn't mean his kick was entirely thwarted. Vince still had enough movement and strength to send his kick to the back of his opponents leg.
Really, all Alkaiser would accomplish is delaying the attack while he performed his own. After all if Alkaiser could knee him in the ribs, what was stopping Vince from kicking him in the back of the leg?
Vince's shirt would stretch, afew of the seams popping, Steve's knee being sent upwards into the ribs while Vince's leg went to strike the back of his knee.
Vince wouldn't get as much benefit out of his attack, as the knee that would most certainly strike him would push him away and the toll of the repeated blows would show. It was getting tough to continue at this point, he could only hope that such a thing would be the same for Barzhad, and that his mobility might be truely hampered this time.

Alkaiser caught Vince off guard, and Vince surprised him right back. Steve was expecting more attacks with his arms, but Vince targeted the back of Barzahd's leg with his own instead. The attack succeeded, and the knee was struck at a most inconvenient time. Although the power was diminished by Steve's own attack, it still hurt quite badly. Steve quickly pushes off of Vince's shoulder, relinquishing his grip and putting distance between the two fighters.
His leg wasn't useless, but it throbbed in pain whenever he moved it. It felt cumbersome and swollen on the outside. Still, now was no time to let up. Vince seemed to be under a great deal of pressure from his injured abdomen, but he was still moving as well. Steve would have to adjust his game, in order to keep this fight moving. He shakes out his leg, and a little pressure is released in exchange for a greatly annoying pang from the weakened joint.
Steve decides to keep on the offensive. He moves in slowly, his weakened leg behind his untouched one. His stance is quite high, almost standing straight up on the balls of his feet. His logic was this: If you have broken ribs, the last thing you want to do is extend your midsection often. If he stayed high, Vince would most likely have to choose to watch either high or low for attacks to defend, and thus his focus would be off of the other weapons in Steve's arsenal. Barzahd's kicks were his attacks of choice, but he had a weak knee. On the other hand, he was still quite proficient with his hands, so it really was tough to justify ignoring either set of weapons.
For now, Alkaiser elects to test the waters of his new strategy. As he just barely gets in range, he lifts his knee and pumps his front fist once in rapid succession. The objective was to see if he could prompt a flinch from either attack with which to capitalize on. In case he did, he held his second fist at the ready, and kept his legs from dropping into a flat footed stance.
Damn did his knee hurt. What the hell did he do to it? He needed to finish this fight and ice that thing quick, or it would stay swolen for a week. Still, Barzahd grits his teeth and continues fighting.

Vince would be grumbling, his ribs were aching and it was hard to keep his body straight. In the end succumbing to the lowered and guarded stance. It was annoying, it would cut into his reach and he would be forced to guard it.
Still, he wasn't expecting for his opponent to move in at the first opportunity. His eyes would take careful consideration of the movements. With an injured knee, it wouldn't be too hard to notice his opponent getting ready for an attack with the legs and when he saw the knee starting to rise in an attack, a quick plan was set in motion.
Vince would take a step to his left and ducking low, he didn't expect the punch that would follow but his attack help him avoid that one as well. As he moved to the left to dodge the blow, Vince would send his right hand out to grab and pull the knee that was raised. He didn't have the strength to gapple it, nor was he foolish enough to try. He merely wanted to pull the knee off to the side and send his opponent to the ground. The weakened knee wouldn't enjoy the sudden twist, and adding to the pain while putting his opponent off balance was certainly a good plan.
If his attack succeeded in the way he wanted and his opponent fell, Vince would waste no time moving in on the fallen man and striking at his face. He would keep his elbows tucked in as much as possible while he did, but he hoped this would be the last hurrah for his opponent.

"Okay, hold up!"
Dain let the crowd part and stepped in with a look of confusion, biting his lower lip as he surveyed both fighters. First, his eyes darted to Alkaiser, then back to Vince, and then back to Alkaiser again, appraising each over and over and over. Finally, seemingly at a loss, Dain shrugged his shoulders.
"I give up. This match was straight down the middle... I have to call it a draw. Um, good job?"
Dain bit his lip and shrugged again, clearly having a lot of trouble calling it as such.
Winner: This match was awesome, and I can't find a winner, so I'm calling it a draw. If either of you feel this is unjust or just REALLY want a clear winner, PM me and I'll consider re-reading and getting some more opinions.
