Jason shifted his track bag on his left shoulder as he walked through the halls. It wasn't much further to the home ec room, a few more corners to go around. He had found that the class was so under used the teacher was never given a key to lock the door. He paused and shifted the bag again, it wasn't the weight of the bag that caused him to do this. He let the bag slide down his arm as he took a glance inside. "I might have brought to much food," he muttered to himself, "I always do that." With his mind on the bag he rounded a corner without watching himself go through the turn.
With a bit of luck of the timing of his glance he managed to halt himself as he almost bumped into someone. With a hesitating move he stepped back from the person. He'd bring the bag back over his shoulder and shake his head lightly to tell himself to be more careful. After this little self scold he looked up to see who he had nearly collided with. "Hey, didn't I meet you before?" It was a simple question and he had answered it himself even as he asked. "Sorry bout that close call, how's your school day been?" He waited for a reply though he almost seemed as if he wasn't sure the other person would reply, rather than just walk away.

Traytaine was headed to his locker before he went to lunch, wanting to wait for the line to die down before he went in. As he walked through the halls he noticed that most of them were already in lunch, or heading in that direction. Only one more hall to go he was preparing to turn the corner, only to have someone step in front of him. Both the other and himself stopped short and stepped back, although the other had hesitated a moment before stepping back.
He looked at the male student who he almost bumped into, a small show of surprise in his expression. It was the guy who had introduced himself a few days back, his name was.. Jason. "Yeah.. at the grocery store." He confirmed, his body shifting back an extra step and shifted his backpack to his left hand. After a long pause, during which he simply stared at the other as though trying to gauge his opinion of him or draw a memory, before he spoke his response. "Slow, and long."

Lin, as always, had brought her lunch from the leftovers of breakfast consisting of eggs and rice cakes with some sort of juice and protein mixture that her uncle had made her. While she wasn't looking forward to the cold mixture, it was better than what she had seen on the lunch line the few weeks she had been in school. As she dug in her pants pocket for the small bag of waxpaper-covered food, she heard a familiar voice from down the hall and stopped to turn and find the source.
Seeing the pair standing at the entrance to the hall she was currently in, she cautiously approached only to stand several feet away... waiting to be acknowledged, "Hi Traytaine." While she knew the other boy, she wasn't quite positive from where. Then it came to her - well, everything but his name, "Oh, you were watching Traytaine and Kevin. It was... umm..." She blushed in embarassment then smiled slightly as Traytaine spoke, "Jason. Of course."
[Sorry for the crap. Weird situation for her at least.]

Jason would nod lightly to Tray's slow and long comment. With a little turn of his head the way he came a question came to mind. "Heading to the cafeteria with the animals and insect food?" He'd tried to eat in there a couple times, but the students were to loud and the fights seemed endless. The food on the other hand he couldn't bring himself to even attempt to stomach. It was odd that he'd become so picky in recent times, but now that he knew the taste of good food the rest lost their luster. With the same shifting of his bag he'd turn to look at the girl. She still seemed to struggle with his name a bit and he felt she'd remember it so he'd kept silent until she said it.
"Yup, though I'd rather not focus all that much on it. It was a strange way to meet people and I don't think any of us really enjoyed the overall unease of the moment." With a little curiosity he looked at her and then toward the cafeteria again. "So miss, how was your day at this fine scholastic establishment?" He let the smallest hints of a smile come forward as he looked between the two.

Traytaine saw Leslie approach, his head titled to see her, and a small smile spread over his lips. "Hello, Leslie." He said, resisting the urge to call her 'Asian girl, Leslie.' again. She seemed to struggle with the others name, but used his own answer to it naturally instead. She seemed embarrassed by it, but he had noticed when he left that she was embarrassed, so it wasn't anything he would bring to light.
"We'll.. yeah. Where else would you get food?" He asked in response to Jason's question, finding it an odd one since everyone was headed tot he cafeteria at this time of day. He then directed his questions at Leslie, and Traytaine slid to the side, resting his shoulder against the wall as he watched, feeling it wasn't his place to talk at the moment.
