Basics:
Name: Zack Kinneas
Nationality: Australian
Age: 17
Year: Junior
Weight: 175 lbs
Height: 6’ 2”
Place of birth: Sydney, Australia
Residence: Hircine High Dorms, Dorm Room 273.
Appearance:
Body: Zack has a medium muscled body, the proportions of his body close to perfect, medium length legs and arms in regard to his body. He isn’t overly muscled yet he’s not all flesh and bones either. His face is quite elegant, with light eyebrows and slightly smaller eyes then most Australians have. No other facial hair ever gets the chance to be visible for the public as Zack takes quite a long time in front of the mirror before heading out.
Cosmetic: Zack has several sets of clothes he tends to wear, but his most common set would be his white collared shirt with a black blazer on top of it, the collar of his collared shirt lifted up over his blazer. Either a black or blue pair of jeans with white Nike sneakers as finishing touch. He also owns several suits since he started attending Hircine High, purely for formal occasions. Sometimes he’ll just wear a tight white polo shirt with a white pair of soft pants, the same sneakers underneath it.
Eye color: Brown
Hair: Zack has long, disordered light brown hair, the color being close to orange. The ends seem to curl no matter what he does with it and he doesn’t really care about it either.
Other Information:
Personality: Zack is a calm and usually sarcastic student who tends to have difficulties trusting people easily. He usually shows a lot of wit and sense of cruel humor towards people and isn’t too troubled about life and all of its facets. He’s quite cocky when it comes to first meetings and isn’t afraid to insult or hurt people in order to gain satisfaction. He’s hard to be impressed overall and therefore doesn’t have too many friends. However, once you’ve gained his trust, you automatically gain his loyalty. He likes a good laugh with the select few he sees as friends and isn’t shy when it comes to women either. Although not troubled by life, Zack is quite the thinker and usually has an opinion about every matter and if he doesn’t know what the hell something is about, he tends to make up stuff that sound important and true.
Hobbies: Zack is absolutely crazy about motor cycles, likes to jog a lot through woods, mountains and beach sides, likes to read from time to time and has a strange liking to sky diving which he has done more than occasionally.
Extracurricular: Zack is a member of the Hircine Athletics team, though he doesn’t actively participate with their trainings that often due to a disliking towards both the team members and the coach. He however tends to go to mountaineering occasionally, purely because his closest friends are actively involved with that. His grades for the matter tend to be around an A due to his usually actively participation during classes.
Important Details:
Fighting Style: Zack has never actively learned any form of martial arts. Growing up amongst bikers however, Zack has been involved in a lot of fights and it can safely be said that this makes him a Street Fighter. Not limiting himself to a certain style has allowed Zack to make up most of his own attacks, though mostly his attacks come from above, his legs play a part in several of his attacks as well.
Strengths: Zack has always judged himself strongly, ensuring he would train the attributes that would fit him best. His speed and agility are far higher than those of the average fighter and his body has received so much beatings that it has grown quite tough, enabling him to sometimes take blows where others wouldn’t be able to, simply to use that moment as an opportunity to strike his opponents’ weak spots. This is usually the best way for him to win a battle since his attributes allow him to dodge, block and weary out his opponent before the same fate strikes Zack himself. All of this in combination with Zack’s sense to enemy attacks makes him a perfect fighter as long as he depends on defending and countering, rather than being the aggressor himself.
Weaknesses: What Zack owns in speed and agility, he lacks in basic strength. Though his jabs and kicks are usually faster than those of his opponents, there isn’t as much power behind his strikes as he would like, making it hard for him to damage opponents on casual spots. Though Zack is good at dodging and blocking attacks, he cannot do the same in a grapple situation, making himself vulnerable to grapple fighters.
None Playable Characters familiar to Zack:
Nilo, his older brother who however is still prisoned in Sydney. They have regular contact but it's been getting lesser and lesser by the day.
History:
Zack Kinneas was born in Sydney, Australia after his father had been drunk one night and made love to his wife without any form of safety. Though his mother normally took the pill, she had decided to stop using it after several weeks of pondering. She, Marlene, had wanted another child for several years now but her husband had brutally struck her every time she had brought it up, telling her one useless wreck was more than enough. At the time, he had revered to Zack’s older brother, Nilo, who was 10 years older than Zack. However, because Marlene felt so lonely, mainly due to her husband almost never being home, she couldn’t resist the urge to secretly quit her anti conceptions. Nilo couldn’t bare the hostility that went down at their home all the time and usually spent his time at the house of his best friend.
Born as an unwanted child to his father, Zack was supposed to be raised by his mother alone, as his father soon left his family in what seemed to be another drunken rage. However, the rage had almost ended with him slicing the throat of Marlene, something that had seemed to sober him up. He decided he didn’t want to be a part of this family any longer, mostly because he knew he might one day kill his wife and get sent to jail and left them behind to fend for themselves. Zack had never seen him except one time when he was 10 years old. He had seen the breathless body of his father in his coffin, drowned to death because he had drunkenly maneuvered his car into a deep river along the road. Zack hadn’t cared one bit when he saw the lifeless body and had even left amidst the funeral, accompanied by the one person that had truly raised him, his brother Nilo.
Though his father had been an ass, he had always been the moneymaker. Now that he had left, Marlene had to fend for her family alone, a task she shortly after found out was rendered impossible. Though she found a job, she had almost no time to look after her children anymore and had to hire a nanny almost from the day of Zack’s birth. What had appeared to be her salvation from loneliness had turned against her and she felt more lonely than ever, driving her insane eventually around the time Zack turned eight. Zack’s life was in fact centered around his older brother, the only person he could really rely on.
Zack had been solely raised by his nanny until he turned 5. Nilo at the time was 15 and had been a member of a biker gang called Barren Vigilantes. Being quite mature for his age, Nilo tried to involve Zack into his life as much as possible. He wasn’t a saint himself, but he couldn’t bare leaving Zack in the hands of the in his eyes incompetent nanny. He took his little brother to a lot of places to toughen him up and prepare him for real life and had been the only place of trust for Zack. Shortly after the funeral of their father, Nilo had told Zack it was time he would involve himself with the Barren Vigilantes. Though most of the members were aged between 16 and 30, there were also some youngster amongst them, children with no real home but the streets. Though Zack slowly got acquainted with most of them, he never felt them to be made of his caliber. He always felt smarter and stronger than them.
After being accepted by the Barren Vigilantes, it seemed as if Nilo felt most of his job was done as he let Zack do his own things from now on. Though Zack was highly interested in motorcycles, he never once skipped school. His grades were good and he now had a place to come home to. His brother and he lived in a small room in a large apartments complex owned by the leader of the Barren Vigilantes. As time passed by, Nilo hardened by the increasing numbers of fights that occurred and he frequently mention how he thought that their leader was dealing with all of this too kindly. He however never complained to their leader, as he could live in their room free of any charge and he was grateful for that. In the following four years, Zack was taught a lot about motorcycles by the different gang members and had already made his first steps into crime by fighting against rivaling groups and joyriding. However, he still kept this life separate from his life at school, where he still aced most subjects and though he showed increased signs of aggression towards several children at school, he was never suspended.
At the age of fourteen however, an awkward quartet joined their ranks, four kids who had apparently escaped from an adoption home somewhere in town. Zack wasn’t impressed by the lot one bit and was one of the few who refrained from openly accepting them amidst their group. It was probably this behavior that made one of the four curious towards him… the most interesting of the lot, August Velway. Though Zack remained skeptical about the four, he couldn’t ignore them for long as Nilo seemed to show interest in August Velway, taking him under his wing as an apprentice, just like he had done with his younger brother a few years prior. Zack got into contact with August personally through his brother and soon began to realize he had misjudged the newcomers, especially this one. August was the same age as Zack and Zack felt that he had finally found someone of his own caliber. One day, August was supposed to meet Nilo at his room, but instead found Zack cornered by three thugs from a rivaling gang who had had the nerve to come this close to the apartments section that belonged to the B.V. August didn’t hesitate to help his fellow gang member and together, the two were able to scare of the attackers. From that day on, Zack respected the newcomer like he hardly respected anyone else but his brother.
Hanging out with August more often, Zack also got in contact with Velway’s friends. Though he didn’t find them as charismatic as August, he did respect aspects in every one of them. For instance, it was clear to him that Daniel Fenimoore thought about their futures more than the rest did. It was through Daniel that Zack learned about the increase of Corporal Punishment, something he listened better to then August and the others. It was clear from the beginning that Minter felt that though the gang was good as it was, it could be far more perfect. Zack and his brother Nilo had predicted the takeover that Minter put into motion later and didn’t mind it one bit. Both of them had need for a tougher approach anyway. Then there always was Decius, the youngest of them all who clearly wanted to be just like August.
As Zack had grown to a 17 year old boy, following boring classes at a boring high school in Australia, Minter had taken over the gang and changed the rules in a lot of ways. Though neither Zack nor August would ever state it, both had became very close friends who would take bullets for one another. He usually followed August if his friend had some stupid idea up his sleeve, even though he recognized the dangers from a mile away. He didn’t really care, he always had a good laugh with August anyway. It was soon after Minter instilled a more aggressive law to their gang that police activity around their area increased and according to August, the police would soon make arrest. August however also told him that Minter had things under control, so Zack naturally didn’t worry too much when he, August and Decius raced during one of the largest races they ever involved themselves in. The race however would soon have a drastic ending as the police force invaded and made several arrests, including August, Zack, Decius and Nilo.
Though Zack, August and Decius were sent to America where the Corporal Punishment law was already enforced, Nilo didn’t come off that easily. Being 27 at the time, he would be trialed and was shortly after sentenced to a prison stay of at least one year and no more than 18months. Zack travelled to Hargrove Academy with his friend, but couldn’t settle down. His academic results lowered, not by his own fault but by students who kept harassing him, keeping him from his studies. His aggressive nature shortly after spat out as he struck down his harassers, but instead of it ending he had started a chain reaction. His friend August was in the same mess, but together they were easily able to fight off anyone in their way and their bond together seemed to increase even further as they were now beginning to actually fight as a well trained team at school. August soon grew tired of the school and though Zack became more laid back by the day, eventually skipping some classes, he told his friend he didn’t really care what to do next. When August suggested to move to San Francisco and attend Hircine High as a test for himself and them, Zack simply said he would enjoy another trip and followed his friend.
However, it appeared justice would get in their ways once more. They had heard about the two boys making trouble at Hargrove and decided it would be best if they were separated. Therefore, August was permitted to leave Hargrove and attend Hircine High, while he, Zack, was left behind at Hargrove Academy to fend for himself. Their bond immediately seemed to weaken as contact between to two was almost reduced to zero. Zack got back to his usual bored behavior and eventually turned more and more mean towards his fellow students. He had found out what kind of students were sent to Hircine High and he had decided he would be one of those occasions. He soon after began to start small fights in the corridors and usually took down his opponents before they had any chance at all. He became both a respected as feared person in the school. Those who respected him for his strength and wanted to join his side in what was in their eyes a glorious goal were usually knocked down themselves. ‘Idiots who don’t realize there is nothing glorious about all this’ weren’t worth his time anyway. People who tried to beat Zack with their skill of speech were usually taken down by Zack’s intelligence, or if they kept annoying him long enough received a fist with their names on it. Zack gained a slightly more aggressive nature and would soon need to lose any form of emotion if he truly wanted to leave this place.
Of course, his behavior did not go unnoticed but it appeared the school didn’t even had the muscle to bring him in for questioning on his behavior. The current dean had already been taken down by Zack when he tried to reason with him. Zack’s faith in his cause was on the edge of breaking down, what kind of kindergarten was this if they didn’t even expelled him after taking down their dean. Soon after however, several teachers and their new dean came for him and overpowered him easily. When Zack was spoken to by the principal, Zack jumped the man and wanted to bash his face, simply to get out of this place. The teachers immediately pulled him off the principal, but his point had been made and apparently the principal thought the same. He said their school couldn’t handle cases like this one. No, this boy would have to be sent to a school where they did have the muscle to keep kids like this one in line. Hircine High… and so, eventually after a small detour, Zack arrived in San Francisco as well. He was placed in the dorms and his live there could kick off… but would he find any traces of the student who had been pulled away from him years ago and would he be able to get used to the system here? Would his layback attitude return or would he remain the rather aggressive egoistic student he had become?

Turning events at Hircine
Hircine High hadn't been the school Zack had thought it to be. He had been more bored around the place than he had ever been anywhere before. It was clear to him now that his old friend would never be the same and that his ideals were now totally lost. August had spoken of an intended gang he wanted to set up but it had just been empty words. His friend was hardly to be seen at Hircine anymore and Zack decided it was most likely time for him to pick up the pace and start doing what he wanted. However, he soon found out that violence in Hircine was a rare thing and though he didn't care too much about others, he felt that they all just sticked to their principles too much. Kyukaku, the school's captain was almost never challenged and although Zack felt things were stirring up, he was certain it would take months before anyone would even try and hurt the captain. It was shortly after however that things made a 180 degrees turn for Zack.
He had been making trouble in the cafeteria once more, purely out of boredom. However, apparently his actions had caught the attention of one of the principals, Shuya Katsumoto. The principal had called him in for a disciplinary meeting. However, the two had only had a few exchanges of words. "Zack Kinneas... hmm, your record shows you're not in any sports team, chess team or whatever... in fact, you're not in any team. It also says you're not related to any of the gangs or groups that have formed here... In fact, I'd say you're almost all on your own here... is that correct?" Zack had been staring at the principals for several seconds before he responded. He had no idea what all of this had to do with what he had done in the cafeteria, but what the principal had said had been true. "That's correct, what of it?" "What of it, sir... for you. In any case, I have no punishment I wish to lay on you for now, but from what I've seen you've been quite bored around here." "Yeah... the lessons are easy and there's little that goes around here... but still, why do you care?... sir?" The principal had only smirked at him before waving him out, telling him he might be back here soon. Back than, Zack hadn't even understood... but a few days later everything became clear.
Principal Katsumoto had apparently transferred the school's captain, Kyukaku, to Paragon Institute, an institute where fights occurred day in day out and where only the voice of the strongest could be heard. The reasons for the transfer had been unknown to Zack, but shortly after he had been called to Shuya's office again. This time, the principal had looked at him with a more serious look and told him he had a simple business proposition for him. He would be transferred to Paragon Institute as well and he would get a weekly sum of money for the work he was intended to do there. Zack, bored as he was, saw no need to argue finally getting some action. He knew damn well why he had been picked to be transferred. As Shuya had stated it clearly in their previous meeting, Zack was a nobody. Zack was the perfect person that was under the radar, that would not stand out in the Paragon crowd as a Hircine High student. To Zack, this small trip would be an exciting one and his mission, probably easy enough... After all, it would only include fighting along side one of the top fighters this city had to offer...
