There it was, Odin was one step closer to reclaiming the center of the ring, the stop of dominance in the boxing community. His opponent had moved back with a noticeable torque in his hips, avoiding Odin’s deceptive forward punch in the process, but leaving himself open for more of rush then he probably thought. This was an opening Odin’s grappling characteristics could capitalize one, and he knew it.
Having chosen to start a soft bounce before striking he made it possible to maximize his agility, even if it was limited compared to his opponent. As he witnessed the slide back incorporating a torque of the hips he felt that a kick was going to come. The question was simple; where was it going to strike? The semi-experienced eyes of Odin crafted out a small mental vision of Kyukaku’s body for his instincts to pick up on, and noticing one thing he was able to half-plan where the leg was aiming for. Due to the lack of leaning back, something Odin had noticed when watching MMA shows like PRIDE FC and UFC, he came into the realization that the kick would probably going low for a more effective power strike, as any higher would greatly off set the other mans balance. Picking up on this it was now time to capitalize and take his opponent out of his comfort zone.
His punch would finish before the front leg was to begin leaving the ground, it was common sense that a punch was faster then a kick – no matter how low it was. As so Odin needed to get in close enough to strike, or use his hands in an effective manner. The best way to do so now was to step forward. His weight shifted to his front foot, as it was common in a step, as his left foot came from behind in the beginning of a blitz. Odin wasn’t planning on power rushing the smaller man, there wasn’t enough room, but anyone from his past fights could tell you that he had an explosive instinct that seemed to appear out of nowhere. This was that moment of nowhere.
During the push of Odin’s step forward is when Kyukaku’s foot struck just below the well-toned calf, hitting the area where a vast majority of Odin’s weight was being held. His leg was like a concrete column supporting the weight of a ten-story building, unmovable with one strike. Just after the connection of foot to leg Odin’s left would push off the canvas, his upper body leaning inward with a distinct curvature as both hands shot out to grab a body part. Odin’s right arm, the one that had previously failed to connect with the chin, went to wrap around the extended left thigh, not a hard job considering they were so close. Odin’s left arm went to wrap around the supporting leg, hooking itself around the back of Kyukaku’s right thigh. Odin’s right shoulder would shoot into his opponent’s stomach, not with a force of momentum to injure, but with the force of his entire body pushing. In a moment he’d lift Kyukaku from the ground, thrust his shoulder forward with his body weight, pull back on both arms, and slam the lighter body to the canvas floor. The slam would cause Kyukaku to land with his head just a small bit away from the ropes, Odin’s weight pressing against his frame to keep him pinned before the inevitable brick-like-fists would begin raining down toward the face and chest. If Odin were truly luck he’d be able to slip into mount without much difficulty, and from there he’d truly be dominant. If not, he had no problem throwing punches from guard and making them stick with authority.
(In the last paragraph I incorperate, to a degree, that the move works. But I mean it as just a summary of what would follow.)

(((Well, I thought I'd give Kyu a bit more time since it was the last match but he has yet to post and it's time for judging.
Guess it just makes my job easier. Unfortunately, since I can't really think a believable way to end Odin's post where he stops, Ill just assume he does what usually happens when his last post works.)))
Odin easily abused his position after successfully obtaining it, resulting in Odin simply overwhelming Kyukakus attempts to defend. The weight and muscle strength this situation gave Odin the advantage and pressed it home. It became apparent that the fight would end with Odin winning and both of them battered. There was still the danger of how bad those beatings would be.
The referee blew his whistle and called the match, noticing a winner when he saw one. Kurtz quickly entered the ring again, as if appearing out of nowhere from the crowd itself. He rolled inside, along the floor and got to his feet next to Odin after the two were separated. He grabbed Odin's wrist and quickly raised it into the air.
"The Winner, and new Champion of the Hircine Underground, Odin Reeves!"
The crowd erupted, both in joy and sorrow. Many people bet good money on Kyukaku, who delivered and solid performance throughout. When the crowd draws though, Kurtz wins, and he liked little more than winning. Confetti was thrown and music was playing, the glamor of a major boxing event thrown into two kids simply beating each other up. Kurtz pulled Odin in close to his ear, both to be heard over the sound and to make sure no one else interfered.
"Good job, you turned out to be a wise investment....with the money I'm going to get from a few of these, I'm not going to even need college.......I'll be in touch, I think I have a business arrangement you may like even more than the current one."
Kurtz quickly let go of Odin and left the ring, as he had a weeks worth on earnings to do the math for. Whatever the two fighters decided to do though was now up to them.

(OOC: Poop. Sorry I took so long, I was gone like I told you Alex, but instead of getting home yesterday morning we got stuck another night due to a bad ice storm. But anyways, congratulations.)
Odin burst forward, scooping up Kyu's leg as he went for a takedown. With Kyu's already prepared hands, he torqued his hips the best he could and threw a few hard left hooks to Odin's unguarded right side of the face which may or may not of struck.
Still, Odin had managed to get Kyukaku to the ground, slipping into a mount as he raised his fists to strike. Kyu brought up his guard, ready to defend and strike back to the best of his ability but the punches never came. A whistle blew and Kurtz jumped into the ring, seperating the two and declaring Odin the victor. Celebratory music was playing as well as confetti being thrown amongst the cheers and jeers of the crowd. As Kurtz and Odin seemed to be sharing something Kyu sat up, placing his hands behind him.
Well...huh. I suppose it was a good fight but it seemed to be called a little early. Oh well, its not a big deal. I'm starting to get tired anyways...
Kyu thought to himself, yawning as if on cue. He pushed himself up to his feet and started to walk towards Odin now that Kurtz had left the ring. Kyukaku extended his right hand for another shake, a friendly smile accross his face to show him he had no hard feelings whatsoever for how things ended up.
"Good fight Odin, I'm sure I've already improved that much more since we began."
Kyu waited, wondering if Odin's hard demeanor would ware off now that the fight was over, or if he would remain stone cold.

[RUTH]: “KRA-KAK-KAK-KOW and Odin swiftly starts off the match with a lightning-fast jab to not just test the waters, but electrify it!”
[GLADYS]: “And Kyukaku responds by deflecting the blow! Watch this folks, ‘cause if you watch carefully, you can plainly see that he’s playing it safe by returning with a sidekick JUST out of harm’s reach and JUST enough to do some damage to Odin’s lower body!”
[RUTH]: “Oh for crissakes, if I was a boxer, don’t you think that I’d be plain and simply aware that against other opponents… They’ll try to exploit that sort of knowledge of me being a boxer? So, with that in mind, Odin is a boxer and bright enough lad to figure that there’s no use in canceling out moves when continuing an onslaught is just as good! A spin, a strike!”
[GLADYS]: “Think fast, Kyukaku! Oh, waddya know…”
Gladys adjusted her glasses as she studied out what the combatants were doing, Ruth almost lifted herself out of her seat to see what was going on, while Valencia took in everything she managed to see, quiet as ever. All this happened in a split-second that suddenly drew their attention more than ever, even though the three couldn’t figure out why. Call it anticipation. Or just plain intricate fanciness.
[GLADYS]: “FACE SHOT WITH THE ELBOW!!”
“Nifty~♪”
[RUTH]: “Boys and girls, this is gonna be one heck of a chain reaction! And Odin rolls like thunder--”
[GLADYS]: “If you’re going to go for the stormy-Norse-god-thing, that’s THOR not Odin…”
[RUTH]: “Don’t you think I know that? Ahem—Odin closes in on Kyukaku, slamming him where it hurts and smacking him where he feels it! Fast! Furious! And brutal enough to keep on going!”
“His style scares me… It screams ‘bull in a china shop’…”
[GLADYS]: “Dude… Odin stops at NOTHING, does he!? He just keeps going, and going, and going… LIKE AN ENERGIZER BUNNY!!”
[RUTH]: “Hey, it’s not like Kyukaku is stopping either…”
[GLADYS]: “Point taken. But hey, it takes two to tango and Kyukaku just danced a circle around Odin to launch a devastating sock to Odin’s ribs!”
Valencia was at the time recording some footage of the fight, or least what she’s capable of filming due to the excited crowd, with her camera and tilted her head up a smidge when she heard dancing and tangoing. As a ballroom dancer, she knew a good amount as to how the basics worked, so it should come to no surprise that now that her friends were going to spew dancing puns and remarks, she might as well listen in for a chuckle.
[RUTH]: “Ole! Check out Odin’s fancy footwork, peeps, ‘cause he’s gonna keep dishing out the pain with another fist o’ d00m~ HOOK ‘EM UP, REEL ‘EM IN!!”
Hu--What? I know what a hook is supposed to be, but what kind of pun is tha--
[GLADYS]: “And Kyukaku makes like a marlin and FIGHTS the reel and tackle! Tugging, pulling, and all the matter of crazy fury, he lets out a can of whiplash with a dropkick!”
[RUTH]: “Odin simply took Kyukaku down a notch without even breaking a sweat! Makin’ like a masta’, he does his own share of fighting the fish and there you have it, simply locked in Kyukaku and had at it. Forward he goes and into his head comes Odin’s FIST!!”
[GLADYS]: “The fish keeps fighting! But—Hey, Kyukaku, can’t you see that you’re in a lock of brutal-violent-close-quarters?! Get out of there before you’re fillet!”
[RUTH]: “Recover, Odin! Recover! And the chain is broken as the man of thunder halted his crusade of bolts!”
[GLADYS]: “Kyukaku here learned quickly alright and he knew better than to stay still for long! So he’s just ups and starts the mayhem all over again…”
“In these cases is the best time to tally up the damage to see who will win. That fall did some damage and Odin was relentless in his attack, so I’m vouching that Odin is going to keep on plowing and win this.”
[RUTH]: “Shuffling along, Odin is going to deal out some aces here as he—Whoa that was fast. There’s something different here…”
“The change of leg and position.”
[RUTH]: “Right. And this ain’t you’re average jab either!”
[GLADYS]: “And Kyukaku utilizes his lower body AGAIN! Sure he retaliated with a roundhouse and all, but you can clearly see that he’s no silly bloke to stick around and wait to be pummeled to death by Odin!”
[RUTH]: “Well, too bad. He’s gonna get pummeled to death anyways. Didn’t we get it clear some time ago that Odin’s bright enough to know better than to stay still in the event of a kick?—What the hell.”
[GLADYS]: “That WAS out of nowhere.”
“I thought that we’d all be used to that by now…”
[RUTH]: “No no, what the HELL. I can’t even put that into words!”
[GLADYS]: “ ‘It’s raining cats and dogs’?”
[RUTH]: “MORE LIKE BRICKS AND BOULDERS, FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD… KYUKAKU’S A GONER!! HE’S ALL OVER HIM!! AND KYUKAKU’S GIVING HIS ALL, BUT THERE’S THE WHISTLE!!”
[GLADYS]: “AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS GLORIOUS FIGHT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO YOU BY KYUKAKU AND ODIN FROM VARRON!!”
[RUTH]: “LET’S GIVE IT UP FOR THE TWO CHAMPIONS AND THE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS, ODIN!!”
[GLADYS]: “Where’s Valencia?”
[RUTH]: “Uh… Maybe she’s down there where the standers are…?”

From the beginning of Odin’s takedown to the end of the match was like a blur, a moment in time that seemed to pass to quickly. He hardly had time to feel it, the left hook that bounced off his right shoulder as his head dipped down by Kyukaku’s side, the force of his slam and shoulder digging inward, then moving into mount. This is where things slowed down; Odin’s position was sturdy and pure dominance. Straight blows from either hand began to rain down, striking the guard of Kyukaku before a whistle was blown and Odin was pulled from atop his opponent. There was no way that a simple shrieking noise was going to make him stop, he was relentless in his assault until the very end, which arrived in quick fashion.
Stepping away from his defeated adversary he looked down, his chest rising and falling with heavy breaths. He wasn’t tired but rather filled with adrenaline to the point of pure excitement. While his eyes were locked on his opponent, as such he never felt the grab of his wrist and the rise of his arm in victory.
"The Winner, and new Champion of the Hircine Underground, Odin Reeves!"
These words rung within his mind, he couldn’t wrap his mind around this victory being so important. Not because his opponent hadn’t been skilled enough to give him a thrill, as he definitely gave Odin something to strive for, but it was like a child at Christmas; in disbelief that it had arrived.
The words spoken to Odin afterward took him out of his near-dream state. He had, for the last few days, forgotten the ‘business’ arrangement between himself and the school pillar. No matter, the thrill had been worth his participation in ‘defending’ the Hircine.
Before he could respond, not that he would, Kurtz had left the ring. But there was another body still there, the defeated combatant was now up and moving toward him. A hand extended, words respect and a humble up bringing reaching his ears. What he to do? Shake the hand, or ignore him completely and celebrate how he always did. Truth be told, the last time Odin had won something of this magnitude there was no celebration that would have to change.
Gripping Kyukaku’s hand firmly Odin gave it a single shake, his eyes still able to pierce a hole through anyone’s attitude. “I look forward to a rematch.” His words were subtle, barely spoken above the crowds screaming reactions. He wasn’t trying to play the role of good guy to a bunch of unknown spectators, that wasn’t his style, nor was he being paid for displaying a false personality.
Releasing Kyukaku’s hand Odin turned away, raising his right fist in celebration of his victory, truly claiming it as his. The two-time underground Champion moved to the edge of the ring, slipping between the ropes and moved down the stairs. What he hadn’t expected was the overall excitement of the crowd. He had been pinned back by groups and groups of enclosing fans. Some were happy that he had won, showing him winning tickets; others were blaming him for their loss of money. The surprising reaction was people asking him for a signature, he wasn’t quite sure how to react. Pens were thrusted into his face, pads of paper offered for writings, backs turned for a ‘proper’ table. What more could he do then submit to the wills of the crowd, there were no escape routes and he didn’t have the social skills to make his way through without throwing a punch. So grabbing a felt he began to scribble his John Hancock on numerous pieces of paper, keeping it nice and short.
‘O. Reeves’

And wouldn’t you know it, Ruth was right when she guessed that Valencia was down where the standers were. The question was: Why? Getting a closer look was okay and all, but she had her own reasons. Following the swarm and minding herself enough to avoid any unnecessary contact, she took a peek above the crowd to make sure she was even going in the right direction. Li’l lady in a flock of tall excited people, y’know? Valencia watched the two fighters shaking hands and continued to flow with the oh-so-slow-yet-rushing crowd until they were at the stairs where Odin made his exit. Crazy-autograph-swarm-feeding-frenzy-brouhaha ensues.
I kinda feel sorry for that guy… I’m SO glad that people barely recognize me from the films I star in.
But anyways, Valencia finally made her way to the “inner ring” where Odin was giving out autographs and got one of her own on a small notepad she carried with her. Once she got the signature, she fought against the tide and went off to the side to sit down somewhere in a vacant chair and examine it. Mostly for the hell of it, but…
One of these days… Having this signature will do me some good… “O. Reeves” for Odin Reeves…
