Armond smiled to himself. He really liked thursdays. Especially warm and sunny ones with the perfect weather to be elsewhere than in ones dorm. Which was the very fact that he was, just not his own.
He was actually standing outside of a girls dorm. He'd made sure that it was a single dorm, that she was having a class right now and that he would have easy escape routes once he was in there.
He examined the lock, piece of cake as he had practised on his own and some other locks for a good while. He put in the lockpicks and made short work out of it, then he examined the door itself for any form of personal insurance, paperscraps that falls when the door opens, pen lids that breaks and similar things.
Within two minutes he was in, he made a last scan of the corridor, still dead, and then entered the room. He knew that the room was empty, he had called up there and checked already. He locked the door, checked the escapes and then began to search through the room.
He may seem overly carefull, but he didn't believe that one could be during a break in. He was wearing gloves, and was prepared to hear the doors lock open at any moment. He stayed clear of the windows and all this made his search through the room painfully slow. This didn't bother him as he knew what he was looking for, and where it should be. The reason he had picked a girls dorm was because of his taste for silver, which he knew was most commonly used in necklaces, rings and earrings. If this girl possesed any it should be in her jewelry box, which should be in the bedroom. So he started searching through it, starting with the wardrobe.
After a while he smilingly opened what he had found and started to examine the objects in the box, searching for something that didn't seem valuable nor treasured but still was out of silver. This was hard and took time, and by the time he had made his choice and put the box back he heard the doors lock open, and quickly hid himself. The bedroom was the only place without an easily accesible escape route, and he would have to pass through the hall to get to one, in other words through where whoever entered was standing.
He quickly chose his hiding place, crawled in under the bed and cursed the school for their uncreative furniture that provided lousy spots to hide. Though he was thankfull that the girl had long bedcovers that hid him decently well, and he crawled up by the wall so that his feet wouldn't show from an angle by the door. Armond forced himself to calmly breath through his mouth so he made as little noise as possible as whoever it was walked around inside the dorm.
