The young girl wandered on her way along the path and wondered if there was any other life form in this structure besides the plants. Were there any friendly bugs that snuck in? How about a bird or two that became welcomed guests? carniVAL will never know for sure, but there was always some kind of reminder that this place wasn’t entirely natural. She kept walking and looking at the strange sights and occasionally whiffing the strange smells until she saw another person. For a few moments, she watched the boy spaz out for a bit and couldn’t recall the last time she saw him. She felt a small pang in her belly, but dismissed it as a craving for something tasty and sweet. carniVAL approached the stranger carefully and didn’t want to disrupt the oddly peaceful atmosphere…
[carniVAL]: “Excuse me… Is this your greenhouse? It’s very nice, by the way.”
She opened a parasol and rested it on her shoulder. She tried not to move much in fear of accidentally bumping against a delicate plant or something. carniVAL would’ve taken a moment to consider that she may get several years of bad luck for opening an umbrella “indoors”, but instead, her attention was on this fellow and the little sparrow hopping around on a branch behind him. It was moments like these that seemed too cute for their own good.

Ryou, still unaware that he wasn't the only person in the greenhouse, continued exploring around. He then turned around at the sound of a girl's voice that came from behind him. His eyes widened in surprise, he found himself face to face with the girl, who, mere moments ago, tried to kill him. " It's her again! Wait, no, she seems different from before, she seems...more cheerful, it's like her personality did a 180." Ryou's expression relaxed slightly, but he still had his guard up, if something unexpected were to happen, he didn't want to be caught off guard. His expression looked friendly, and he did feel in a friendly mood, but he was also very cautious and distrustful, he didn't know who this girl was, or this new personality of hers either.
" I'm afraid not. I don't know who's greenhouse this is, but I have to agree, it is very nice."
Ryou noticed she was staring at something past his shoulder, and he turned his gaze slightly to look behind him, he saw a small sparrow hopping along on the branch. He turned his gaze back to the girl, and asked the question that plagued him for a while. " Sorry to ask, but what's your name?"

OOC:( for those who read this when i first posted it, ive been making changes over time. i posted it at first because i hit the wrong button. so it shouldnt have been posted at all until i had it finished. it done now though. so we can continue)
IC: Corey didn't know what was going on. leaning against a thin metal post in the middle of a large warehouse, Corey hadn't the slightest idea how he got here, but he was most interested in finding out. having not seen anyone within this place, at least, not yet, Corey was beginning to wonder if maybe he'd been kidnapped, or someone was wanting to kill him. he hoped not. He really wasn't in the mood to die just yet.
Pushing off the post, Corey stopped. he'd been trying for what seemed like forever to get off that metal piece of building over-structure, but try as he might it held his shoulder fast. he hadn't even been able to move from the relaxed position in which he had been in while leaning against it. he realized that he had been there for so long he had forgotten about moving, and when he felt like it, he just moved, without even thinking about it. turning around, he examined the pole. Where his shoulder had been there now was a small black dot, which looked like blood but was too thin, and it was dark, practically black. and it grew. and grew. and grew. Corey backed up a step, almost tripping over a metal pipe.
"what...the...hell..." Corey said, never taking his eyes off the black manifestation. "its...moving" it fell off the pole, which was now eaten halfway through, by what, Corey didn't know. the large black pool stood up, and began taking the shape of a man. a very familiar man. Him. and the manifestation of himself didnt look friendly. not in the least.
"shit"
Corey looked around to see if there was any way out. nothing. turning back towards the replication of himself, coreys head didnt make it halfway, because a punch to the side of his head sent him sprawling. "ugh" corey said, rolling to his feet. it wiped off his face, only to find a few maggots crawling on his skin. " wha...? gross!" and flung them to the ground. He picked up a pipe, and hit "himself" in the head, but the pipe went right through, and corey, who was expecting contact, lost grip with the pipe, which flew straight into...a door.
"this place is creeping as hell. i really nee-" but he was forced to cut himself off, for the figure of himself took another swing. he flipped to the left and made a break for the door, noticing that the pipe which he had lost was being eating by the same maggots that had been on his face. "whoa" he said, before bursting through the door. he heard a low drone, which was immpossibly low, and he realized that the figure was screaming. slamming the door behind him, Corey turned to find himself in...a greenhouse.

"In the end, I am always left behind. A tool for another, A relic of what I once was...."
The door would slam behind carniVAL. The sad eyed little boy in the cage watching as the faceless version of Ein slammed it so. It was fruitless to resist, and the loud sounds of the heavy iron walls of the Cage falling out to the sides would reverberate through the Greenhouse.
There would be a moment of silence afterwards, then a loud and hideous laughter. Small moments of a young boy begging "No" pitifully in between, then a final scream.
"A MAN"
Before the silence, the door would open quietly again and the familiar form of the blank faced Ein would reappear. There would be one notable difference, where as before his face was constant it would now shift and where the voices were somewhat silenced they grew louder. The shadowy forms were more opaque and a constant, as he walked forwards the shadowed forms of Ein would take different paths, some would even attempt to destroy the glass or uproot the plants. Their incorporeal hands unable to move even a small breeze.
Still probably the most notable thing would be the voice, where it would echo previously, now it sounded in unison. A deep and terrible sounding voice at the helm, nearly overpowering all the others that surrounded the being.
"What is your purpose, Parasite? Why do you toy with this boy and ask him foolish questions beyond his understanding instead of devouring him immediately? You have no reason, Parasite, No order."

carniVAL grinned and felt a little bashful and shy, evident by the simple swinging of her arms from side to side. She didn’t seem too aware of the threat factor associated to her, so she took Ryou’s wariness as a casual talking-to from someone older. She placed a finger on her cheek while the rest of her fingers held her chin as she pondered away at his question. If she recalled properly, people aren’t supposed to give their name to strangers… Especially “girls like her”. She didn’t know why, but she remembered her days when she was blind when a good friend of hers told her not to give her name away at all costs. That smidge of a memory traced back to the person she unconsciously devoured earlier before bringing the Asian back to the present. carniVAL isn’t exactly complex in thinking, but she makes up in ingenuity through simplicity.
[carniVAL]: “Iunno~ What’d you like to call me? We’re strangers right now. I was told not to tell my name to strangers. Acquaintances maybe, but only maybe.”
Obviously, a reference to Forrest Gump. This was proof that she wasn’t going to give away her ambiguous name too soon, but she was willing to make friends regardless of circumstances.
[carniVAL]: “Besides, I don’t think I’d be able to remember your name anyhow. Won’t it break rules if I do? Someone told me it would. If I could name you… I’d call you… Robert! Or Roberto!”
Pleased that she was making a friend, whether Ryou wanted to be her friend or now, carniVAL smiled and laughed, all happy-like. Caught up in her excitement, she looked at the li’l sparrow and pointed her finger at it to name it as well.
[carniVAL]: “And he’s Thubs!”
And Thubs flew away and landed on a nearby flowerpot. carniVAL followed after it and squatted down in wonder, watching Thubs with utmost attention and satisfaction. Before she knew it, some more entities entered the vicinity… One through a door in the back, the other(s) out of nowhere. She stood up quickly and felt a little frightened enough to forget all about Thubs. The stain on carniVAL’s chest stirred and changed hues, but did little else beyond that and didn’t get the girl’s attention. She was confused and scared and didn’t know what she was being accused of… But somehow, her gut feeling knew that something happened and there was little to be done about it. She plucked up the courage to answer, even though her nervousness was evident…
[carniVAL]: “W-what do you want…? Am I not allowed to ask Roberto questions? I’m sorry if I made you mad… I won’t do it again…”
She tried to make a motion as though to mean “Scout’s Honor”, one hand up and the other on her chest and everything, until the stain began to spread up the side of her neck and across the hand held out. It was as though she was becoming two things at once or a hybrid. Either way, in that same childish voice while the parasite (VirAL) manifested half of the body in splotches and rotting flesh, she added…
[ambiVALence]: “…Honest."

Corey breathed a sigh of relief that he'd made it out of...well, wherever that was, to,well, where ever THIS was. He put his shoulder against the door and half turned his body so his back was up against it, until he noticed ahead of him 2 people, one, a guy, the other, a child. as he watched, figures appeared out of nowhere, all of them looking at the small girl.
Corey jumped. "what the HELL!" he said. this has GOT to be a dream. looking through the crowd of silhouettes, he saw the child...wait, WAS it a child? looking closely, he saw that her arm, neck and chest were covered in something the same color as the stain on her shirt. or maybe it WAS the stain on her shirt. it didn't really matter. all he knew, was that he didn't want to talk to her. he'd rather face "himself". turning to leave, he saw that the door he came in was gone. looking quickly to his right, he saw the door was over on the other side of the greenhouse.
Turning to head in that direction,Corey stopped, holding a hand to his chest. he felt a violent shock of pain, he heard a voice, whose origin he couldn't make out, screaming into his brain.
"running again? how typical of you"
"What do you mean?" Corey thought, somehow knowing the voice would hear.
"all your life you've been running. running away from your past, running away from your friends, running away from...HER"
That was the last he heard as darkness took him, his head sinking foreword and hitting the ground. or did it? he continued to sink into the ground, like he was being absorbed, yet he could feel that he was still alive. the hole caused by his body continued to widen, and he felt a pang of sorrow for the others who would fall in, and he hoped they'd notice in time.
he awoke, the sand of the beach lapping against his midsection, and looking behind him saw a large forest. looking up he saw the blue sky, but could see the faint outline of the greenhouse ceiling. "what the hell?" Corey said. it became an overused phrase for him of late, and one that he probably wouldn't stop using for as long as this...whatever it was, lasted.
Shaking himself off, he turned towards the woods. 'so, whats next?' he thought bitterly, and began trudging up the beach

" Hmm, what shall I call you?" Ryou pondered, before the girl interrupted his train of thoughts, giving him a new name." Did I just hear right? Did she call me...Roberto?" Ryou thought surprised. " Oh well, it's...sorta not so far from my name, at least it starts with the same letter." Ryou sighed, and walked over to the girl, and bent down beside her, she was completely entranced by the sparrow. The sparrow, or "Thubs" as she call it, looked curiously at them, before flying away. Ryou smiled slightly, before his expression changed to a serious one. He turned his gaze, and straightened up, there were multiple entities behind him, their voices ringing out in unison, deep and loud. He then heard a cry from beside him, and he turned his gaze back to the girl, the stain on her chest stirring, almost like a beast that awoke from slumber, and was angry.
" Wh....what the hell!?" Ryou shouted, as he backed away slowly, a look of shock registered on his face. The stain began to take over one half of her body, almost like she was turning into two things at once, a hybrid of some sort. Ryou continued backing away, until he hit a table behind him, he hadn't let his guard down for a instant, but this event, this event he didn't even dream of. From the corner of his eye, he saw the entities moving forward, talking to the girl in the same deep voice, asking her why is she toying with this boy, why not devour him, parasite. " Is...is it that virus again? The one that tried to kill me before?" The last word he heard her say was in the same child-like voice he had heard her replying to his questions.
" Honest."

"It is not something you can stop, it is exactly what you are."
The voices would ring out, the blank faced form of Ein taking slow and steady steps towards the girl. He would ignore the other man, atleast slightly. His ignorance was astounding, but The Mind would retain It's focus.
The steady steps were like clockwork, the motions excessively symmetrical. Everything in it's place, Everything in order.
It would only be a moment before the Mind would arrive at the girl, the large hands outreaching. The harmful intent, completely in evident in the calm and black face that was on the humanoid form. There was no hatred, no anger. Only a compulsion, a need.
A need to strangle the girl, to stop the air and to end the discord.

((OOC: ^^; It’s not that I’m ignoring Corey, but more so I’m having trouble linking him in if he keeps on moving out of range…))
Being the “good girl” she claimed herself to be, ambiVALence didn’t resist when the Mind began strangling the multifaceted girl. The arm that bore many resemblances to the stain and VirAL clawed at the Mind’s arm in retaliation, bubbling, frothing, and festering in attempt to devour its latest entity within its reach… Using enzymes and all, trying to infect her this enemy with every weapon in its parasitic arsenal. The glass ceiling and walls of the greenhouse began to shiver as cracks slid along sides and surfaces, subtle in its inevitable breaking. carniVAL's voice could be heard as she wept since she clearly didn’t enjoy being hurt, but she took it like a form of punishment…
[ambiVALence]: “I’m sorry… I can’t help it… I know I can, but it’s really hard…”
In some ways, this was a different entity altogether that was apologizing and trying to rationalize her actions. If anyone kept their eyes on what could’ve been Valencia the entire time while the greenhouse fell apart, her form would be switching and mixing and matching different identities like the colors of a kaleidoscope. She may as well be changing colors, but who really knew as a bunch of things reflected off of the falling shards of glass. Regardless, VirAL could only be destroyed in one way and strangulation wasn’t one of them. The parts of the body that were too busy changing and trying to figure itself out were twitching in the Mind’s grasp as VirAL’s parts slithered onto the Mind and began to spread everywhere it could and taking up other forms along the way. In liquid, VirAL was an inky substance. In the air, VirAL was toxic fumes. On living beings, VirAL was a multitude of enzymes, chemicals, parasites, and other things that would assist in giving her sustenance to prevent her self-destruction. Who the heck knew what form VirAL would take if she entered plasma… Or someone’s veins.
ambiVALence stopped moving. VirAL gave up its meat shield to pursue more important matters. Did the Mind separate VirAL from the other identities or was VirAL choosing to stir again? An arm shot out at Ryou in attempt to turn him into an anchor (and/or food) as the monstrosity focused its efforts on the stronger of the two evils adversaries. Of course, the Mind definitely isn’t going to let VirAL eat him so the parasite was definitely looking forward to this challenge.
As the ocean began to flood the earth, the sky darkened and engulfed the planet. The waters began to rise in the woods and jungles like the wet season in a rainforest. It was like watching an apocalypse with so many things going on at once, but strangely no different from watching a movie on a silver screen at an IMAX. Now here was an interesting predicament… They say that there’s no air in space, save for O3 instead of O2 and an endless vacuum. We could go on forever about science, but in a nutshell, Valencia was trying to get a hold of herself by becoming omnipotent. No, she wasn’t a god or anything like that, but there is only one person she wanted to be above all else instead of all these entities and reincarnations, good or bad, that could be easily manipulated by this parasite… She wanted to be herself and she wanted to take charge of her life. It was like she wanted to wake up, but not without finishing off some of her nightmares first.
“Dammit Roberto! Don’t just stand there and gawk! Get in there!”

Ryou threw his arms over his head, as the glass panes around him began to shatter, falling down like rain. " Damn! This isn't good, the entire glasshouse is falling apart!" In between the shards of shattered glass, Ryou could make out the mysterious figure strangling the girl, but even though she appeared to not resist, the arm that was covered in the stain and the virus began to claw at the figure's arm, looking like she was trying to infect him, it? Whatever the hell it was. " Crap...things aren't looking great for me." Ryou thought, as he picked his way carefully through the shards of glass, thankful he was wearing a jacket, so his arms and head were protected, slightly. Just as he got close enough, an arm shot out, grabbing hold of him, around his neck.
" Wh...what the hell!?" Ryou shouted, as he was yanked forward, his shoes dragging on the ground. " And just when things couldn't get worse, it got worse." Ryou sighed, sometimes he couldn't catch a break. " Wh...what the!?" Ryou cried out, as he looked around, it was like it was the apocalypse, the sky darkened above him, casting everything into darkness. The ocean began to rise, engulfing the land in water, and all the while, Ryou just stared at it, unable to comprehend the dire situation he had landed himself into.
" Hate to break it to you," he managed to gasp out, as he snapped out of his daze, continuing to be dragged closer and closer to the girl, 'But my name isn't Roberto, it's Ryou."

OOC:(( I hadn't planned on it staying that way, as you could see my character is still in the greenhouse, and i had hoped for him to come back, but things have changed dramatically so we'll see what happens))
IC: Corey stopped, Turning and looking up as he head a loud crack. Scanning the top of the greenhouse, he saw cracks coming along the sides of the building. with a loud retort, Everywhere the glass shot out, shooting in all directions.
It didn't matter much to him, because he was in a whole different world, or so it seemed to him. turning his eyes down he began to walk along, before crying out at a sharp pain in his arm. wondering what had happening to cause such agony, he looked to see a long gash slowly opening, blood pouring out.
"Shit" he said, looking around him for the cause of the injury. He stood, not finding anything that could have cut his arm, and began to walk.
Just before the forest, Things began to melt. the woods, the ground, everything. he took another step, to find his foot underwater. thought the rest of him wasn't submerged, he felt himself choking and sputtering on the water. He went to a knee, and closed his eyes tightly, the world rotating in his vision as he collapsed.
He woke with a sudden and startling realization, He was underwater, or at least it was becoming quickly so. Coughing and spitting water, he stood, just as the ocean water was rising to about the height of his waist and was slowly submerging what was left of the greenhouse. He looked at his arms to find a piece of glass stuck securely into his arm.
'what the...' he thought, before pulling it out. Blood flowed new, but it was thicker than normal. Shaking his head and grumbling, he ripped off a piece of his shirt and tied it securely around his wound. Looking to his right, he took a step back-wards, noticing what was happening just feet away from him.
He saw the boy get dragged forewords as the water continued to rise. From where, he didn't know, nor did he take the time to wonder. He needed to help that guy, or he was going to be stuck there with that....thing (who was at that moment strangling a girl and dragging his only soon-to-be companion to the abyss.)
Picking up a long shard of glass, Corey threw it like a knife, Hoping that it would slice, if not sever the limb that held the kid in place. He had trained with knives since he was 12, and was very good at throwing them, so he was confident in the fact that it would hit home. The weight was awkward however, and he didn't know if it would be enough. He sure hoped so...he didn't want to be alone...

Ryou continued to be dragged forward, his shoes dragging on the ground. He was gasping for air, the hand around his neck pulling him closer and closer to the girl. " Crap, what have I gotten myself into?" he thought, he tried to grab onto the arm to loosen its grip on his neck, his hands grabbing onto it, but as much as he tried to loosen the grip, the power of the arm was too strong for him, it was pullling him closer inch by inch. From the corner of his eye, Ryou made out a guy, he was to far away for Ryou to make him out clearly, but he could tell that the guy had a piece of glass in his hand, and from the position of his arm and body, he was about to throw it like a knife.
" What the...? Is he seriously going to throw it? Damn, I hope he has good aim, or the trajectory of the glass could go very wrong."
Ryou was mere inches away from the girl and the mysterious entity that was strangling her. " Get in there? Get in where!?" Ryou thought, he had no idea what she meant, all he knew is, if he was swallowed up by the darkness, chances are, he'd never return alive, and as much as he wanted to be friends, " I don't want to die, not this early!" He continued to struggle against the arm that held him, trying his best to escape, or at least, buy some time before reaching the abyss.

"This is YOUR fault, Not his. Your doing, Your thoughts, Either stop me yourself or succumb."
The Mind didn't specify to what the girl would succumb to for a reason. As it would certainly either be it, or the Parasite. It really didn't matter, as either one would satisfy it. The disorder would be laid to rest.
The world around the struggling pair would shift slightly, The mind shifting it to gray, small crystalline spires beginning to raise in a circle around The Mind and the girl.
"This shall end."

VirAL winced for a multitude of reasons. A stranger threw the knife with enough accuracy to impale itself into the arm clutching Ryou… If there was one thing the parasite didn’t appreciate, it was anything striking her before she struck first. She cringed, roared, and threw Ryou aside with great force before recoiling from the pain. Another reason why she was growing quickly annoyed was the fight she was putting up with the Mind. It was hard to see VirAL’s more solidified form amongst the fumes surrounding the two within the circle of spires, but if anyone could see them, VirAL was ripping and tearing away with everything she’s got while the Mind seemed impervious to the attack. The parasite wanted the Mind to decay from her touch and rot from her mere presence like any other victim of her presence. She wanted to feast on this entity before her end came about.
The only details to VirAL’s favor were these… No one seemed to be aware the “girl” is already dead. The body was somewhere within the fumes and toxic gas instead of supposedly writhing in the Mind’s hold. No one was even slightly conscious that the true essence of Valencia was indeed trying to kill off all of her reincarnations, specifically VirAL since the parasite was the “last” one. To them, Valencia was somewhere in the corroding haze.
These details were to the abomination’s favor because Valencia was severely lacks strength in the formless entity she’s using to combat her own creations (the only true solution to all this, as the Mind stated clearly) and everyone else was dealing with something they truly couldn’t handle. It’s complicated, but in short… Resistance was futile in regards to Ryou and Corey, should the Mind’s quarantine fail to contain this beast. The Mind was resilient, but it cannot destroy this monster. Valencia as a one-and-only identity was only a weak and temporary dream compared to the stronger reality she was trying to achieve. VirAL was a dream and a reality.
[VirAL]: “Like sand through an hourglass… There’s only so much damage a single drop of water can do to create a canyon…”
A writhing tendril shot out of VirAL’s fog to wrap around the Mind’s neck in attempt to suffocate her enemy. A pincer reached for one of the crystal spires to hang onto... Almost as though VirAL not only wanted an anchor, but also a way to pull herself off of the Mind. A poisonous hiss could be heard as her form expanded, gushed between cracks and crevices, and tried to make its way towards Ryou and Corey. This was a battle of attrition and VirAL intended to win.

OOC: ((if im not carrying on in the right direction, or im mistaking somthing and ignoring others, let me know! ill try and compensate )) IC: There wasnt much he could do. But what he WAS able to do had the desired effect. as they beast(girl?) roared, it threw the boy....directly at corey. It seemed to be fighting a personal battle, while at the same time fighting the physical one It moved quickly after that, moving its way towards Corey and his newfound companion at a rapid pace. For some reason, seeing this thing brought the worst to coreys mind. The death, the pain, his childhood. The anger welled in his chest, burting to be released. Not knowin what else he was to do, Corey jumped in front of his new friend and yelled. no words, no commands, just a midless yell. He drew another breath, this time screaming louder, letting the pain of his past flow forward into his voice. Every scream was louder, louder, louder. He wasnt going to die, not from this thing. His next scream was so loud, it seemed to tear the very fabric of this reality, yet they were one in the same. he knew the monstrousity would connect with him. he didnt care. He hated this thing, this girl, this...parasite. and he wanted it to know that he did. His last scream flowed out burning forward with a ear piercing loudness, and the plants, the poles, everything, seemed to bend out, and he wondered if it was just him, or if time had stopped. He could still move though. his scream rang on, yet he stepped away. turning, he sawthe boy whom he had saved. not knowing if he could hear him or not, he face foreward, towards an opening in which a boy was inside a cage, and who seemed to be trying to resist and fight his preordained destiny. He pulled his mind away from his scream and jumped for the doorway in which he saw the young caged being. as he moved, he turned and yelled "cmon! i have a plan!" He hoped it would work, and if not, then sweet death would take him, and his nightmare would end, leaving him in peace.

OOC: I think it's time to jumpstart this thread. So sorry for the delay, with no Internet, learning how to drive, etc. I didn't really have the time to post.
Ryou sighed with relief inwards, as the shard of glass hit its mark, severing him from the virus, but at what cost? He suddenly found himself being lifted into the air and flung halfway across the room. "!?" was the expression on his face, as he collided into the guy who had thrown the glass. " Uhh...ow..." he said painfully, rubbing his head, but his expression of pain turned to one of fright. The virus was making its way over to him and the guy, and Ryou quickly had to clamp his hands over his ears, as the guy started to scream in terror, maybe from the situation, maybe from something else, Ryou didn't know.
" Dammit, are you trying to bust open my eardrums?" he thought, as he backed away as far as possible. As he turned his gaze to look at the guy, he saw that he had ceased screaming, and motioned to Ryou to follow him.
Between the virus and the guy relatively unknown to him, Ryou chose the guy, and ran after him, following him through a door into a room that had a cage that seemed to have melted in different places, which Ryou didn't have enough time to worry about, as he turned to look behind, the colour draining from his face. The virus was chasing after them, it seemed so intent on capturing them, for whatever reason, Ryou didn't know, and frankly, he didn't want to find out, all he knew was, he kept running for dear life and hell, he wasn't planning on slowing down.
