Ryou opened his eyes, and sat up. " What the hell? Where am I?" He looked around, only to have the colour drain from his face. " I'm....underwater!? What the hell's going on here!?" He looked around, slightly panicked, only because he didn't recognize his surroundings.
As he tried to calm himself down, a shadow fell upon him from up above. He looked up, only to see a guy above descending towards him. He got on his knees, and attempted to move away. He was moving slowly, like he was being restrained by some invisible force, whose sole intent was to keep him chained to the bottom.
" Dammit, if this is suppose to be a joke, I'm not having fun!" he thought, as he managed to move away, but then something almost inky appeared in front of him that caught his curiosity.
He stared at it, whatever it was wavered and fluttered in front of him, almost like it was dancing. " What the...? Where's it coming from?" He moved his gaze upwards, and saw that it was spreading, spreading outward from a girl above him.
" What in the world is happening here?" he thought.
Ryou tried to push himself upwards, but he was chained to the bottom, whatever held him, had him in its grip, and wasn't planning on letting go.

There was a recollection of memory. The many voices silencing in reverence. A feeling of doubt, what if he couldn't? Would it matter? He was about to be thrown into the water just the same. Sink or Swim, he remembered the words of his father.
The memory would end with the distinct feeling that he had swam at that time, but now, he refused. He was no longer that boy, he was not that body. He was the Mind, He was a Constant, He was Earth.
Like a stone, Ein's body would fall to the bottom. Resistance was damned to slide around him and let him through. The unyielding mind would begin it's din of though again now.
"Is he the faults in himself?"
"We are made to fail."
"Is he fluid, or is he dirt?"
"We are but dust in death."
The featureless eyes would give a hint of sympathy for Connor at that point, but only momentarily. There was no need for mercy at this point, this man would be his own end. His doubts were his anger. His anger was his strength.

"What?" He was frustrated, even more so when hearing what Valencia said. Unfortunately, along with his seventeen year old body, came his seventeen year old mind. He wasn't as passive and patient as his future self. Though, he knew that she didn't mean to aggravate him.
Keisuke walked toward the side of the two would-be fighters to get a look on his friend's face. Standing on Gilsin's far right (Conner's left), he waited for the opportunity to find out who exactly was producing these apprehending voices. Though unexpectedly, as Conner fell back, Keisuke ran toward him, and found himself underwater. Thinking that logically Conner would be near him while submerged, he grabbed his ankle to prevent him from escaping. Though something, he felt, was weird; different. It seemed too easy. Even though they were submerged, It shouldn't be so easy pulling back a giant who would be trying to escape. But when Keisuke found it unhurting to open his eyes and look (reasoning that it was his glasses), it was someone else. A thin, brown haired boy. Immediately, he let go, and proceeded to swim his way up to the top.
Unfortunately for him, he found himself to be on the "deep end" of the pool, finding it extremely hard to resurface in a hurry. But when he became frantic, he realized that holding his breath actually comforted him, and dying wasn't an option... until he was out of the water. The overwhelming stench was too much for him, and sought refuge back in the water. Placing his jersey in front of his mouth to act as a filter, he took a deep breath and looked for everyone's position before diving again. He wanted answers... it angered him that the only person he knew was Valencia.

Ryou struggled furiously against the invisible chains that bound him to the bottom of the pool. He flailed furiously, and in a instant, he was released. " What? I'm free? But, how?" Ryou turned his head to look behind him, and saw a young guy with beige hair. He locked gazes with him before he swam upwards, looking desperate to reach the surface.
" What's going on around here? I need to find answers, and staying down here won't help." Ryou kicked off from the bottom, and swam upwards. He looked around, taking in his surroundings and everyone around him. As he glanced beneath him, what he saw drained all the colour from his face. The inky shadow that was spreading from the girl was below him, almost like it was chasing after him.
" What the hell!" Ryou attempted to kick faster, trying to get away. " I wish I knew anyone here, but now, I'm on my own, until I can actually ask them." Ryou used all the strength in his legs to propel himself towards the surface.

You've been helpless before.
Not like this.
JUST like this.
Well...what do I do then?
You adapt. Change to your environment. You were as avoidable as possible with your father. You became strong to deal with the other inmates. Adapt. Breathe. Survive.
With that thought, Conner found himself breathing again. Nothing looked different (perhaps his gills were under his clothes), but Conner never had any second thoughts about it. He could breathe, and that was all he needed to know. He looked around, not seeing anyone in the surprisingly crystal clear underwater abyss.
Turning his head up, Conner saw another boy following the soccer player towards the surface. He pushed his feet off the ocean floor, propelling himself upwards. If Conner would look below him, he would see an ink cloud spreading out from his feet, killing the fish, coral, and other oceanic life as he continued to swim up towards the others.
We adapt. It doesn't matter who else it hurts.

The chemically created chlorine became the natural salt of the sea and the choking burn Valencia felt as she was several feet away from the surface vanished. This was more like it. In dreams, she never asked questions. There was always some sort of reason why her consciousness conjures up these images and sensations, so she always saved the interpretation for the waking world where things “make more sense”. She burped a bubble and found little reason to follow it like frightened divers do when they’re at their last breath. She could see clearly now and more flares exploded above the surface of the ocean as though a sinking ship was about to meet its final moments. Valencia was tempted to be a witness to this catastrophe when she remembered some crucial bits of information.
Ah. Right. The Zaragoza just blew up and sent several of its passengers flying overboard, way over here. Unfortunately, it’s not my business to go around fishing up people I don’t know.
Valencia turned around and looked downwards where her inky tendrils were polluting and noticed the rest of her company. Sounds reverberated all throughout the vast waters like mixing whale songs, each of which telling its own piece of knowledge, intellect, and comprehension. They seemed like ideas and voices she couldn’t understand, but she grasped just enough to feel like there were disembodied entities in this setting as well, if not the same one she encountered back at the soccer field. Why did she think they were different? There was malice mixed in like red paint in a water-coloring cup. She came across another stranger, this one tethered some long ways to the bottom. As far as she was concerned, he was launched here because of the Zaragoza or some bullies chucked him into the pool and he got stuck. He wriggled until he freed himself and as expected, he headed towards the surface like most drowning people would.
The Vietnamese woman dove even deeper with a cloud of foggy ink in her wake. On her way down, she found the man from before with his own mess of deadly ink. Valencia scowled as the ink enveloped her and several things shot out as if to kill the man before he escaped with the others. The first was a stretching and noxious eel with gaping jaws and rows of needle-like teeth. Another serpentine creature followed, this one with similar deadly feature with an anglerfish-like lantern as an addition. The last thing that shot out of Valencia’s murderously cloudy ink was a long scaly arm aiming to grab anything within its reach to drag it from the surface. Who knew if Valencia was the source of this anymore… If anything, the stain was parasitic and needed more than this Asian for sustenance.

Ryou broke through the surface, gasping for air. At first he thought he was fine, but as he adjusted to his surroundings, a foul smell began to waft around him, making him cough and cover his mouth. " What the heck? This smell, it reeks." Ryou began to cough even more violently, his eyes watering. " I can't take much more of this, looks like the water is the only way to help. But with that....whatever it is in the water, it's dangerous there too. Either way, I've boxed myself into a corner." Ryou opened his eyes, squinting, trying to figure out what was around him, but all he could see in front of him was darkness.
" I can't see anything, I can't even see my own hand." he noted, he knew he had lifted his hand up, he could feel the water dripping down, but darkness was all that laid in front of him, a dark abyss. " I can't breath, I have to go back, back into the water." Ryou dove down, and swam away from the surface. " I don't know how much air I have, what am I suppose to do when my air runs out? And because the air above is so bad, it's not like I can replenish my air so easily."
" You have to adapt to your surroundings. Don't give up so easily."
" Adapt? How?"
" Think about it. You're underwater, so what do you need underwater?"
" The answer's obvious. Air."
" So? Are you going to let that hold you back?"
" No."
Whatever or whoever it was, Ryou suddenly realized he could breath. " But, how? Why? Not that I'm complaining, but this defies all logic. Then again, logic seems to have disappeared from here, wherever here is." he thought, noting the ink. " The ink..." he thought, remembering it. As he stared down at it, he saw that it had split up into three versions, each wanting to grab hold of someone and drag them down to their doom. " And just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it got worse. Where did that ink come from? And why is emanating from that girl?" Ryou asked in his mind, adding it to the pile of questions he had already accumulated.

((OOC: ::slams face against blunt object:: Okay, time to get some things done around here…))
The long scaly arm was accompanied by another as they surged upwards to constrict Ryou, one catching a leg and the other an arm, both locking him into a death grip. It was like an educational program on Discovery Channel about giant squids… In this situation, Ryou was the prey. Emanating from the cloud of ink was a screeching metallic noise that had the natural lilt of a siren and a wailing scream of a merciless killer. If it weren’t for the creature willing its sounds into meaning, the racket would’ve been deafening noise to all who are ignorant to warnings. This was a wake up call in a dream. Of all forms this lesson had to take, it had to be a parasitic terror of the deep stealing its host’s conscious mobility.
[VirAL]: “You’re weak and hopeless, aren’t you!? Paddling around like a little lost fish in the middle of the vast, endless ocean! Quit trying to name all the plankton or I’ll show you how the food chain is really supposed to function!”
This personification of Valencia wanted to murder Ryou. In fact, she wanted to murder everyone. Only here could that become a reality as once those claws tore into Ryou’s flesh, the monster would drag him into the murky depths to consume the misfortunate creature who just figured out how to breathe underwater.

OOC: Now it's getting interesting. It's like a educational program combined with a horror movie.
" Shit!" Ryou swore, as two tendrils shot out, his arm and leg ensnared in the ink's grip, dragging him down deeper and deeper. Ryou struggled as much as he could, fighting desperately, hoping with all the strength he had that he could escape, but the grip on him was too tight for him to break free. " No! I refuse to go out like this! There has to be a way for me to get loose! I will not become the first victim of this parasitic entity!" Ryou shouted in his mind, as he continued to struggle, continuing to be pulled down further.
" It's pointless to resist. You will become part of us, as we slowly feed off you, gaining strength from you, you who are full of life and spirit."
" What? Part of you? What the hell?"
" You will become our pawn, supplying us with energy, just as that girl has. She has been our pawn for some time now, feeding us with energy."
" Dammit, there is no way in hell that I'll become your pawn!"
" You don't have a choice. You have been captured, now become one of us, we who are many, yet are one."
The claws shot out at him, sinking into his shoulders, pulling him down even more with more power than before. " Shit! Its power has grown even more! I have to escape, I won't be absorbed or taken over or whatever is going to happen, no way in hell!"
" Still struggling? Aren't you tired of struggling? Why not break free? Or do you wish to become part of them?"
" If I could, don't you think I would've?"
" You have the power to break free, so why not use it?"
" The power? I can break free? But how?"
" Use your head. You adapted to the water, so how will you adapt to this?"
" I need to slice through them, but with what?"
Ryou stared down at the girl, the expression on her face clearly showed that she wanted to murder him, rip through him without a care in the world.

On his way towards the surface, someone seemed to be coming to meet him halfway. As they got closer, the face smoothed into the girl from before. Soon enough, it didn't matter at all as she became enveloped in a cloud of black. Surprising Conner, several sea monsters shot out towards him. Moments ago he would have hesitated, unsure of what to. This time, though, Conner didn't hesitate, he didn't fret.
He wasn't in control at the moment.
The eel came in, biting at Conner's face. His hands went out, grabbing the jaws of sea creature. With a short struggle of power, Conner snapped his hands, wripping the jaws off the fish and tearing it clean into two different parts. As the lantern fish came in, Conner's right fist smashed into its mouth. His hand went through the other end, and the fish dissipated into ash that drifted away underseas.
As the hand approached, Conner had an idea. He grabbed the left over lantern that hadn't dissapeared with the fish. It was obvious that the arm liked the dark, as it came from there. As it reached out, Conner slammed the light into its palm. The hand shrieked and began to recoil back towards Valencia. Conner reached out with both hands, hugging the wrist as it pulled him back into the cloud of ink.
Once inside, Conner let go of the arm and reached out for something else. He grabbed each shoulder with a hand, whipping Valencia around to face him. He could see her plainly, and if she could see just as well in the thick ink, she would see him smiling, with mutilated lips once more.
"Thats it! Delve into the darkness! Be just like me!"

Ryou stared with a surprised look on his face as Conner met the ink creature head on, without any hesitation. " Is he for real? Taking it on like that? Dammit, I don't have time to waste wondering what is going on inside his head, I have a dilemma of my own!" He continued to struggle against the claws that chained him, he raised his arm and grabbed hold of the claw that held his left shoulder, using all his strength to get it off. " Get off me you...whatever you are!" He slowly lifted the claw that was a few moments ago, latched onto his shoulder. He threw it off with a huge shove, sending it reeling backwards.
" Why do you defy us? You cannot escape, no matter how much you try."
" Yeah? Well I can try!"
The claw shot out at him once again, but this time he was ready, he threw a counterattack of his own, smashing the ink claw in half. The ink arm withdrew into the depths of the inky mass below. Ryou, with his left arm free, proceded to smash the other claw on his other shoulder and arm. The two arms withdrew back as well, the only one left was the claw attached to his leg. " Get the hell off of me!" he shouted in his mind, lifting his leg up and tore through the claw that bound him. " I'm free...for now. That ink creature won't give up. It said it's many, yet one. I've heard that saying before..." he pondered, " And that girl...from the look on her face, she clearly wants to kill me...but for what purpose? And why?"

The metaphorical “little lost fish” wasn’t really putting up that much of a fight at first, which gave the VirAL incarnation plenty of reason to focus its efforts more on the prey that retaliated. Finding little point to keep its living tendrils outstretched and exposed to harm, it dragged itself, along with Conner, back into the volatile ink. The arm melded back into the dark and redoubled its efforts to concentrate on the other front… The “fish” finally caught on that sitting around, wondering what was going on was a weakness that the stain was exploiting. Don’t struggle, get killed. Fight back, then the threat might recoil… Might. The mass of ink sunk deeper into the abyss, away from the surface that was beginning to glow from flares lighting up the night sky. Whatever survivors that escaped the sinking vessel was hoping with everything they got that someone out there will see their beacon.
Conner whipped Valencia around and was met with the parasitic entity itself. Possessing the same bioluminescence the lantern fish used earlier for bait, every vein in Valencia’s body lit up with a ghostly bluish hue, complete with gleaming organisms instead of eyes. VirAL grabbed Conner by the throat, seizing the opportunity to strike where it is at its strongest. Enzymes began to eat away at the prey’s skin as the parasite made some things crystal clear…
[VirAL]: “You must be awfully mistaken. ‘Delve’? As in this is my first time? This is my nature. This is who I am. To think I am another simple organism vying for control is an insult to my existence. I feast off of others… And maybe devour some parts of myself if there isn’t enough sustenance. It attracts prey and their sympathies and in turn, food. If you misidentify me again, I may have to elaborate in some other way to clarify… If there is ever an ‘again’.”
For a parasite, it was one that easily got offended. The mass of ink sunk deeper, deeper, and even deeper into some undiscovered trench in the sea. Soon enough, little specks of light floated around like shining dust. Some were eaten while others were luckier to get some more time to float around like the little glowing plankton they were. Eventually, there were enough to surround them and create some kind of point of reference. With no up and down, as defined when they were closer to the surface, they might as well be in outer space where these little plankton resembled radiant, distant stars.

The ink would envelope the form of Ein quickly as he moved slowly across the sea floor. The feeling would be different and new, but the man beneath the mind knew a defense. He knew how to hide even from thoughts, a Parasite such as this would be little different. Though perhaps it could force the door.
The scene would change for the him, a spike of clarity suddenly opening in the mass of black. In the middle would stand a wrought iron cage, worn and damaged, but holding strong. Inside there would be a small boy, one with a face and for those that looked, with facial features that would mark it as a Young Ein.
All around the cage would be deformed and extreme versions of men, similiar in many cases, but all more beastly than human. The others might recognize the voices as the incessant din that had spoken when the blank faced man from before had.
Some of the beastly men, truely thoughts, would ravage and attack the Cage, reaching their arms in to strike at the little boy on the inside but only at best causing little scratches. Other's would look at the lock and wonder, some would actively try to pick it. More still laid around the outer edges of the clearing of the ink weeping in despair and apologizing to imaginary figures for any and all wrong doings.
The boy inside would be oddly stoic, calm and relaxed, his voice would ring out easily above the screaming and scheming of the monstrosities that surrounded him.
"You shall have nothing from me. You may try and take what thoughts I have but you would do better to try another. As many and more of these would tear you to pieces and the ones that don't I haven't a need for."
Some monstrosities would turn and rage and scream at the parasitic beast, most kept assaulting The Cage. They wanted more than anything to get back in. For the Mind to reclaim Ein, and while he could force them out for some time.
One among them would know that the Mind would take hold again, as it always did.

With the light in her veins that parralleled the darkness from within, VirAL quickly lashed out at Conner, gripping his throat. As 'she' followed up with lashing out of words, Conner's throat began to burn. Slowly, his flesh began to dissipate and his blood began to dilute in the black water. While upon entering this cloud, Conner's own ink began to flow from below. Now, although it looked the same, Conner knew none of it was his anymore.
"Heh, heh." Conner grinned, a gurgled chuckle never making it to his lips, simply bubbling out the hole in his throat.
"Is that what this is about then? I can't say I expected it, though you won't find me dissapointed."
Conner closed his eyes, a calm smile coming over his face. A moment later he suddenly jerked into motion, spreading his arms out to the side. He opened his eyes, staring into those of the parasite directly in front of him. As he spoke, his flesh continued to be eaten away. Parts of him would remain untouched as his body began to show muscle tissue, internal organs, and finally the bones.
"In that case, take it all. You'll never have your fill. Perhaps when you're finished with me, you'll be forced to devour from within. After all...I'm nothing."
By the time Conner had finished speaking, his bones were gnawed to nothingness, and anything that was left was absorbed in the darkness.
And the darkness is where he would stay.

((OOC: Muchas gracias to contributors of this thread~ I personally like how most things turned out.))
VirAL smirked as Conner allowed himself to be digested like any sensible adult would instead of squirming around meaninglessly. It saved her the trouble of resorting to more active means of consuming him. His ink was no longer his and mixed with the stain, adding only in volume and not in substance. The parasite scowled as her dinner gave his final regards. What he revealed was one glaring weakness… Her appetite. She explained how she functioned and before she knew it, they caught on. She was not in the mood to think about how her existence greatly depends on her own self-destruction. When Conner diminished into nil, VirAL licked her hands to get some bits that didn’t get properly digested and resisted nibbling her fingertips. For now, she had enough until her next meal comes along.
She detected another entity or set of entities within the vicinity. VirAL turned around to find a Cage with a young boy within it. Up until this moment, there was no real point of reference in the murky depths of VirAL’s ink. The parasite slithered, clawed, and swam closer to the Cage, repulsed by the incessant activity surrounding it for the little prize inside the iron cavity. She tried to pay little mind to various beings within her territory and focused on the boy like a shark circling a protective cage with a scuba diver within… The comparison was probably not too far from the truth. VirAL moved even closer until the boy calmly addressed the parasite… And gave her the metaphorical, proverbial middle finger. VirAL lashed out in her rage and slashed at whatever beasts that dared to approach her. Some melted from her acidic touch, some fell prey to her constricting tendrils, and others met similar ends with their own unique descriptions. Overall, Ein described them as expendable and indeed they were. Only on a few instances did she manage to even touch the Cage and the structure repelled her malleable form.
[VirAL]: “A rabbit in hand is worth two in the bush… I think I have better things to concern myself with instead of wasting my energy on you.”
The parasite might as well be referring to Ryou who was still on her menu, but with the environment changing once more, it was hard to tell for sure who was her metaphorical, proverbial rabbit.
Valencia sat on the ground in the middle of the room with the Cage, absorbed in her own thoughts as though this was some puzzle she needed to solve. Was this like a Rubik’s Cube? Or did she need to pick the lock a certain way? The “blonde” tilted her head to the side curiously and displayed no signs of ever being the abomination that recently ate Conner… That is, except for the stain on her chest. She stood up and walked around the edges of the room, taking care not to disturb the figures mumbling to themselves. She looked at her shirt, then at the Young Ein.
“Do you think some Clorox will get this out? I swear to goodness gracious, I tried everything on this. Maybe I should go into the next room…”
She took a couple brisk steps and felt her way around until she found a door. Valencia opened it up and on the other side was the interior of a greenhouse. Without a second thought, she reached for a wheelbarrow and rolled it towards the Cage.
“Hop right in now. If you can’t, make your Cage do it then.”
[EDIT: Typos everywhere...]

The young boy would turn, slowly, carefully, in the dead center of his Cage. Even as the more vicious thoughts ran forward to destroy the invader and were then disbanded themselves, new wounds and scratches would manifest on the young Ein. A sign that the thoughts were displaced momentarily, but not rid of as the man was still alive.
The scene would change, the room was filled somewhat with the pitiful and disfigured of his thoughts. Mumbling endlessly for forgiveness and in a certain amount of self loathing. The eyes would recognize Valencia and the smaller, yet distinctly familiar Ein voice would speak.
"We...I Know you, though not so well as one of the Owed that follows the Mind."
A large gash would appear across the back of the boy as he spoke the word "We". It would heal slightly, but stand, a sign of the already diminishing effectiveness of the Cage against his own Mind. Though perhaps not the Parasite.
He would watch as the girl mumbled about the stain. Not caring much about the badge of a meal devoured, indeed, he was not surprised that Connor was the first. So dependent and weak willed. A mind not fully realized.
When the wheel barrow was brought in, the young boy would only shake his head. The Parasite didn't understand the nature of the defense, and the method of it's holdings.
"To move is to open the gate and invite all thought. I must stay in this spot, I must not move from the center. Even so, one cannot stand still forever. Have you the patience? Or will your gluttony take hold?"
Gaunt forms of the tall Genaht leader would stride forth, incredibly thin and feeble looking. Their faces drawn taunt against the bones in a sad, yet strong in will. Their voices striking out in unison, a sign of a Part of the Mind allying with Ein.
"We are meant to wait, to endure."

Valencia blinked her silver eyes at the young boy and the approaching, thinner forms of Ein as they reinforced the notion that moving wasn’t exactly an option. She ran her fingers through her hair and pursed her lips. She looked over her shoulder at the door, then headed on over to open it wider. Her reasoning? If he won’t go to the door, might as well bring the door to him… In a sense. Like watching TV. Sure, it may rot your brain if you watch too much of it, but it’s still a nice window to other things out there when you’re too inconvenienced to go yourself. She looked at the greenhouse on the other side of the door for a full minute before walking back to the Cage. She really wanted to explore the new dimension this dream conjured up, but this was probably one of those kinds where you have to do other important things first. VorpAL sat down next to the Cage and the wheelbarrow, looking weary and tattered as if she fought countless wars and had plenty of mementos to prove it. Some blood and sweat was caked onto her features and her clothes basically portrayed her as a knight or some warrior who took on everything that came her way. She owed the Younger Ein, and the other Eins, an answer, so she gave it.
[VorpAL]: “I have plenty of patience. Waiting is what I do and probably what I’ll always do. It’s tiring and discouraging, but sometimes I get what I go for. If things are good, I’ll always get it. Ultimately, waiting is worth it… Not something I’d want to do all the time though.”
This personification sighed and shook her head. It was like another personality altogether, but to classify her as such would probably lead to unneeded words. What she said next provided plenty enough reason to identify her like VirAL—It’s who Valencia is.
[VorpAL]: “See, I get hungry all the time. The ambition hurts me to pieces when it really shouldn’t and I end up throwing away all the dead weight I actually need for momentum. I just want to go forward and see some results… Good results preferably. You can say that my frustration is one reason why I’m hungry all the time.”
…VorpAL began to trace things on the ground and pined for the view beyond what she could already see. It wasn’t as though she hated the rest she’s finally being given, but she was anxious and if she was a more playful personification, she would’ve pushed the Cage onto the wheelbarrow and got on with it. But no, she had to be nice and wait like a good girl. No getting chatty and striking up conversations, just sit like a good girl. Like a good soldier too. It was business, even though she didn’t want it to be.

The young boy would watch the slightly changing girl. Wondering, observing. The tall gaunt versions of Ein would merely stand, straight and erect with heads down. Waiting patiently, though their ears didn't close. They would hear the words, and they would take heed as their singularity demanded.
One by one, the Enduring would fade out, slowly and carefully. Their disappearance signaled by one of two phrases.
"We wait for the End."
"We wait for the Hunger."
The young boy could only grimmace as small pieces of the bars would disappear with each of the thin figues disappearing. Only small openings, but enough for one to get an arm through. It would only be another moment before more agressive thoughts would take advantage, clawing at the unflinching boy with their new reach.
"I resist you, I'll not have you. I am a prisoner to my mind, but never another without consent. You are not Owed, You are not one with which I am aligned! I will defy until you are repelled or I am consumed."
Larger forms would appear momentarily, just long enough to pull the aggressive thoughts away from the Cage. To throw those that were assaulting the boy into the walls where they would dissipate. The many new wounds that were caused healing for the most part, though just as many were laid bare and open. Red sores where no blood poured out.
The gaze of the boy would be fierce, though one couldn't help but wonder how long he could keep his Cage at this rate. Though it might be found it was best that he did.

VorpAL nodded understandingly to Ein’s reply, regardless of whether of not she truly understood. She sighed wistfully when told that the wait will last until hunger came about. The problem was that she’s already hungry and the wait itself shouldn’t be long, but he wanted VirAL to consume itself or try another futile assault upon the Cage. It’s quite a quandary that didn’t really come with an easy answer. In predicaments like these, time moved in its own ways. VorpAL didn’t budge an inch as creatures charged at the Cage. It was as though she was restraining herself as she kept tracing images in the ground, occasionally glancing at the wheelbarrow and the doorway. She wanted to know what was going on, yet felt that she really shouldn’t. It was none of her business, wasn’t it? Sometimes, she wished that more things were her business… Or alternatively, she wished that she poked her nose around more and got involved.
When the noise died down, peeked over her shoulder, then quickly got back to doing whatever boring activity she was doing. VorpAL seemed childish and curious, but practiced resistance. It was really bothersome for her to wait any longer, so carniVAL stood up and turned around to give Ein a reprimanding look. She certainly didn’t look as weary as she did earlier and definitely looked a lot less threatening than the first incarnation she took up.
[carniVAL]: “Then what do you DO all day?! If you do nothing for too long, you’ll rot away! Can’t we please go through the door~? If you don’t go, I’ll go without you! There’s too much going on out there that I missed and am missing already.”
This wasn’t carniVAL’s first debut. If anything, Valencia showed small glimmers of this bright personality whenever she was enjoying herself and forgot the constricting self-control she subjected her consciousness to. Too bad certain circumstances “forced” her into hiding this sunny child. She grabbed one of the handles to the wheelbarrow and dragged it to the door and once she stood in the doorway, she looked back at the Cage and its prisoner… She felt guilty to leave Ein behind and even kinda bad that she got upset at him. Nonetheless, she felt like she had to go as though Life beckoned for her. carniVAL entered the greenhouse and was mystified by what she saw.
Pitcher plants and dormant fly traps were festooned among the vines above, hanging from leafy trees and other kinds of flowers, flora, and foliage that would’ve made the setting a dense jungle if it weren’t from the sunlight filtering through the glass onto the wooden catwalk she was standing on. She couldn’t put it into words, but the place seemed more like a suspended botanical garden or like a walk-in aviary than a mere green house. Excited, carniVAL began exploring like any excited girl would. She wasn’t expecting anything to harm her, much less from the stain still showing on her chest.

Ryou wandered around the greenhouse, taking in his surroundings. " This just gets more stranger and stranger by the minute, but I can't complain, at least I can breathe normally now." he thought, looking down at his arms, the markings of the grip of VirAL still very much visible. " When this happened, I can't tell for sure, and if I try to think about this logically, I'll just end up giving myself a headache." Ryou looked up, beside, and behind him, completely unaware that it wasn't just himself in this place. He was fascinated by all the different plants here, and if it wasn't for the fact that sunlight was filtering down through the glass, he'd swear he wasn't inside a building, more like outside.
" This place...it's like a jungle here. All these exotic plants...all that's missing is the sound of wild animals. Wait, what am I thinking? This is a greenhouse, not the Amazon. Ugh! Why does my head suddenly hurt!?" Ryou gasped, collapsing down on one knee.
" Dammit...my head is pounding like crazy! This pain...it's so intense!" His eyes started to water as he held his head, and just as fast as the pain appeared, it disappeared in an instant. " What...what was that about?" he thought, straighting up, his eyes closed. " That was weird...But at least...at least the pain is gone." Ryou opened his eyes, the sunlight blinding him after being in the dark for a few minutes.
