It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the sun shining, not a single cloud in the sky, the temperature rising..a wonderful Spring day. Hyunie would have absolutely loved to go out, though she couldn't; not until she finished her studies. Hak-won had been canceled for the day, due to the teacher being sick, so her dad would make her stay home for six hours to make up for it. Quite harsh, yes? No...no, it wasn't harsh. She understood why her family valued education so much, so instead of hating the idea of studying, she embraced it; made it a part of her daily life style. Heck, even if she graduated college, she'd probably end up taking a part time job tutoring kids just so that she had a text book around her. Though, it was a distraction.. She had her windows and the balcony door open, letting in a lot of sunlight and laughter from the kids who were playing at the park not too far from here. She wished she could be a part of the laughter...but not today. No, today, she would stay at home until three by studying, and after that, she'd go for a walk, but not to the park. Somewhere else, though, she wasn't quite sure of where to go yet.
She gave a quiet sigh before turning her attention to the text book in front of her, flipping the page with her two fingers, her eyes scanning all the important information. Speed reading, one might say. If Hyunie read all the pages that were given to her as an assignment, she'd be pulling all nighters, and even with all nighters, she wouldn't be able to get her outlines and packets done. Not only that, but she'd waste so much led and paper. Another sigh and she turned her eyes to the next page, pencil twirling with her right hand, while her left pushed up her glasses that were sliding down her nose. So much to do today...so much to do... It would've been much easier to study if she was under pressure.
All across the table in the living room were books and notebooks, along with a cup of coffee and a bag of chips. It was a bit messy, but no surprise, really. Hyunie always tended to make a mess when she studied at home, though, her dad didn't mind at all - "at least she was studying" is probably what he thinks.
Her hair was put up into a messy bun, wearing a casual short sleeved shirt that simply spelled out SOLiD, and her pajama bottoms which were navy blue and had pictures of animated monkeys making funny faces. Childish? Sure, why not? But they were comfortable. On her feet were white ankle socks, and she had no accessories on other than the usual cross necklace and the diamond stud earrings.
About to turn the page, she was inturrupted by the doorbell...
...eh?
"Coming?"

Buttons were cool and fun to press, and the doorbell right by this apartment where innocent people reside was no difference. It was just calling for Slick to poke it, and there for, he found his finger making contact with it. The pleasure was intense, swelling up inside of him as the finger pushed in, letting the button sink in, and then extended outward. The symphony of ringing that followed was just as beautiful as well, but now was not the time to be thinking about how wonderful doorbell ringing was. Now that the very fun deed was done, Slick had to get some things out of the way, that he hoped whoever lived in this apartment would help with.
Now let us take a look at Slick. Currently, he had a huge scrape on his right elbow, and it seemed to be recently opened. The blood had dried, but it could get infected, Slick decided this apartment out of all random apartments would be the one to go to. Why? Well, he tripped on the stairs that was close to this apartment on his way up to it in the first place. This was just the lucky winner, he really did hope someone was home. Also, he really had to go to the bathroom, but hasn't had a chance to go yet with all of this fund raising that was going on. The fund raising was displayed by a packet of fund raising delicacies that was inside of it.
In school, out of school, Slick always looked the same. His long messy brown hair fell down to his shoulders, all about in his face as well. He had on his glasses which recently were taped in the middle due to them unfortunately breaking. Let's not forget that pale skin tone of his, his eye lids half open, random blue jeans, and a white t-shirt being accompanied along with everything else. To simply put it, Slick was just as messy as always, but hey, he would let the hopefully responsible adult answer the door, then go inside, clean up, then go back to fund raising. After all, he has so far sold one whole product for the three hours he had been doing this little task of his. He was doing some good work!
Slick didn't really hear the voice inside the apartment, he wasn't paying much attention after he rang the doorbell, and he was just patiently waiting for the door to open while his urge to go potty grew, as well as him wanting to bandage up his nasty scrape on his elbow. This would hopefully be a good turning point for Slick's luck on this day!

Standing up, she stretched out her arms and legs for a quick moment before making her way towards the door. Her arms swung back and forth, careful not to knock anything over. Once in front of the door, her eye peeked through the little looking-glass, and blinked; it was a boy. Obviously, someone she didn't know, so she automatically assumed he got the wrong address. Pulling her head away from the looking-glass, she unlocked the door, a slight "click" heard, and wrapped her handle around the door nob before pulling it open. Her eyes blinked in confusion, her head tilting a bit to the left while her right hand rubbed the back of her neck. Pushing her glasses up again when they began to slide down, she had a confused-like-look on her face, only to wonder one thing: What did he want?
Now, no one really came to Hyunie's house unless they were guests; solicitors rarely came by; and unless it was Halloween. She looked at him - he was certainly not dressed for trick-or-treating, and if she remembered correctly, Halloween was in October. So he must've gotten the wrong address, right? Right. Unless he was a friend of her dad's...? Nah, she shouldn't assume. So she should be a good Samartian and ask him what he wants, only not so much in a blunt/rude like way.
"...can I help you..?"
Although she was - is - shy in nature, he was a total stranger of whom she'd most likely never see again. Or at least, that's what she thought.

When the door opened, Slick was quite surprised on who popped out of the door, and quickly tightened up a bit. He wasn't expecting a good looking person to answer, and he began to choke up a bit. Luckily, she spoke for him, snapping him back into reality before too long, but still, he definitely found his fortune going for a turn to the worst. Not only this, but she seemed familiar from somewhere, like he had seen her at school (permission given). No, he had to be confused, she had to be some random person who he would never see again, right?
"Well, you see... I uh..." he began, as you can probably tell, he wasn't one of those good salesmen. He trailed off, he had to get this out, he knew he did, but it was so incredibly difficult to explain all of his problems he was having. Needing to use the bathroom, needing some medicine, needing to sell stuff, the difficulty of this was farther than one would expect.
He decided it would be best that he just blurted out one of the three things, and he decided he would go for the most important thing first. "Can I use the bathroom?" he asked, the voice spoken in an embarrassed way. He knew this wouldn't be good, he should of just asked about the fund raising, it would of been so much simpler Anyways, he could only hope he did not in fact see this person, and she was someone he definitely wouldn't ever see again, as well as her being kind enough to let him go to the bathroom.

So here Hyunie was, standing next to the door, confusion written in her eyes, her face merely holding a small speck of curiosity. He started to talk, but his he sort of stopped at "uh..", as if waiting for something to happen - or it seemed that way, in her opinion. Now that she looked at him more carefully, he didn't really look any older than her. Maybe he looked a year or two older, but looks can be decieving. For all she knew, he could be some college student, but were college students really so...laid back looking? She was going to ask again if he needed anything, and was caught a bit surprised when he asked to use the restroom. At first, she wasn't sure what to say - or do. Was she allowed to let him in her house? Her dad said not to allow strangers in...but she did know self-defense..
What if he steals something?
Though, he had to use the restroom, and Hyunie was a little too trusting when it came to simple things like this. Pulling open the door a little more, she'd give him some space to come in. Once he came in though, he - hopefully - would notice all the shoes at the entrance of the door inside. That meant, no shoes inside - just socks and slippers. No shoes. Although her dad is Caucasian, he lived in Korea for quite a long time, and you know what they say about old habits. But, just to remind him, just in case..
"Shoes, please.. Bathroom is the first door in the hall on the right.."
