Well being the new kid didn't hold any surprises for him, it was always the same, the only thing that varied was how many days it took for things to repeat themselves. He had a feeling that this time around things wouldn't take too long. Ryker hadn't been on the school grounds more than five minutes before he drove his forehead into the first punk to cross his path, crushing his nose.
After washing the blood off his forehead in the fountain his task became routine. After taking a quick look around the campus it wasn't hard to pick out one of the tougher looking guys, but that rarely meant they were strong. But after years of picking out the strong it was all the easier for Ryker to cross the path of someone he decided was strong enough to leave an impression on the school.
"I'm fresh meat, yada-yada, long speech, do we fight now or later?"

"Now is good for me."
As Conner would turn around to face the blatant challenge of the new loudmouth, he'd come eye to eyes with Ryker. The former Horseman of War dressed in his usual attire of jeans and orange juvi shirt over a white tee. The only difference now was the eyepatch covering his left eye, covering the empty socket.
"As the stereotypical bully, it would be wrong of me to keep you waiting."
Upon finishing speaking, Conner reared his right fist back in an exaggerated motion. Gesturing that he was going to come around with a heavy haymaker like most large fighters, Conner jabbed out his left hand. Conner wasn't overly quick, but he was a dirty fighter. If Ryker so much as looked that way, he'd have a hard time reacting in time to his underhandedness.

Ryker wasn't surprised or intimidated by the stereotypical bully missing an eye. It was something he'd keep in mind, but it wasn't all the important in the long run because he didn't intend for the fight to last all that long.
"It would be fairly rude," Ryker grinned his agreement.
The bully reared his right fist back, blatantly telegraphing a haymaker. Ryker's legs were already shoulder width apart, his left foot scuffed across the floor to be half a foot forward. With his guard up and his elbows in to guard his side he was prepared for the incoming blow.
Or at least that's what he thought, as his original plans were suddenly destroyed as a left jab sliced through the air. Gritting his teeth he twisted his upper body to the left raised his guard to cover his temple, and his elbow guarded a few of his ribs. The blow wasn't as heavy as it could be, but it was damn surprising.
Already his plans were out the window, and he was angry as hell.

Conner grinned as he caught hint of the new kid's surprise. It was a rather satisfactory feeling, since the kid started off with arrogance. Not that Conner hated arrogance in itself; after all, the former Horseman displayed it with flying colors. When it came to being arrogant with him, however, it was different. Conner's only lost a handful of fights in his high school career, but even then he never made it fun for the other guy.
The jab landed, though not in the face like Conner had hoped. Either way, Conner intended to press his advantage. Opening up his hand on impact, Conner would grip the lower bicep and forearm of Ryker, holding the elbow in his palm. Grabbing it tightly, Conner would slide his left foot up slightly, planning to turn Ryker back towards him as he'd send a powerful right cross right through his guard, aimming to break the nose.

After the initial impact of the left jab crashing down against his guard Ryker was turning his upper body back to the right to even out his stance, wile the the same time he was being tugged in the same direction. His left arm came forward, curving at the elbow to smack a blow away from it's target.
His left ended up crashing into incoming rear hand punch, and much like his opponent Ryker applied a rough grip the elbow and push the right arm over his left. The plan being to not only negate the incoming punch, but to encourage the grip on his right elbow to be released.
