Jacobe inhaled the morning air deeply. It was fresh, clean, not plauged by the smell of new furniture and polish that now plagued the hallways. The sun was up and shining behind some light clouds, perfect wether, if not a little warm for his taste, he was used to the cold of his home city in Australia. He sighed, he missed home, the air smelt different here, but there always one source of nostalgia for him, so he reached into his top pocket and pulled out a cigarette, placeing it in his mouth before reaching down into his front pocket for his brand new Zippo lighter, just a plain sterling silver one, but with a flame that only stopped when the lid went down, he shielded his smoke and lit it, flicking the lid down on his Zippo extingushing the flame. He inhaled deeply, his lungs filling with the first smoke of the day, before exhaling and watching the smoke rise in the air, his body relaxed a little as he looked out over the car park, watching cars arrive, people looking up at the new building in awe. Jacobe sighed.
There's no point getting excited, there's been no suspects, no arrests, no prank calls. They have nothing to go on...and either it was a very young terrorist, a teacher....or a student. He thought as he watched people happily enter the school.
That thought sent a slight chill down his spine, someone had that big a beef against the school? The people inside it? Why? His hand involintarily reached down to his pockets and pulled out his lighter again, but this time instead of lighting it he just rolled it between his fingers, his nervouse habit kicking in.
Maybe its time to stop sitting on the sidelines.... god knows when he will choose to attack again... but if he's stopped for something stupid... who knows???
He ashed the cigarette over the side of of the building, and lent on the edge of the building as he watched the light ash drift down. He couldn't decide what to do... if he got involved his life could be more at risk, or he could agrivate the situation even more. But if he didn't, he would be like this ash, no control over his future or where he was going.
"What should i do?" He said out loud, looking out over building, as though he was asking the world for a response.
