Details::
Name: Vincent Raoul Moreaux
Nickname: Vinnie (Reserved for very few people, only closest friends)
Nationality: French-American
Ethnicity: French, German, Czech
Hometown: Cannes, France
Age: 17
Weight: 176lbs
Height: 6'4"
Appearance::
Body: Vincent would be considered tall and lanky by anyone's means. He stands 6'4" and has a slender frame with little muscle mass, but it doesn't matter the extent of which muscle protrudes from the body when it comes to strength. His leg and back muscles are a little wiry but defined and he sports a strangely effeminate, elongated hourglass figure due to his broad shoulders and thin waist.
Cosmetic: Vincent when among the "normal" populace, he thinks himself class-defined. He usually wears black dress shoes, pants, and tailcoat with a white, wide-collared button-up shirt. There are times he will wear white dress gloves as well, but these times are often reserved for days he has a performance.
Eye color: Grey
Hair: Vincent's hair is dark brown and shoulder length and is usually back in a fairly loose ponytail, tied with a black ribbon, that allows his bangs to fall in front of his face.
Habits: Vincent is unusually proper and follows a certain code of chivalry in his everyday life. He is largely a "neat-freak" and has a compulsivity to constantly keep an eye on how he looks (as well as mental note of how other people look) and will go out of his way to mend a small imperfection if it bothers him enough. He also carries around his cello in a hard case due to his complete infatuation with it as well as his strong distrust of it in anyone else's hands.
Other Information
Personality: Vincent is very blunt and honest in his speech making him seem rude at times but never says anything that isn't in some small way relevant to the situation. He is a very calm, quiet, and compassionate person but holds a darker side to him as well. Behind the stone-cold yet trusting face lies a man that is unpredictable and ruthless in his actions. Also is relatively quite and reserved, but once set into an argument he is unrelenting. He has a relatively long fuse and is very patient and understanding, but if that fuse goes out, his temper is a bit volatile. Due to the moral code that he chooses to follow, he is unbelievably loyal to his friends and creates life-long relationships; though very few are ever made.
Hobbies: Vincent's hobbies consist of a fairly basic set of quiet, thought provoking activities; music, literature, foreign film, and conversation. He plays cello in much of his spare time, always practicing to perfect technique and memorize various pieces. He can always find great satisfaction in a well-written book, and in being that way and finding little to his liking he also writes prose-poetry and has been publish multiple times in various literary magazines as well as read at a few well-known venues. Having been born and brought up in Cannes, France, he has a huge infatuation with film and a strange adoration for foreign language film especially. In combination of the three previous aspects of his interests, he enjoys conversation of one or all of them, though he prefers philosophical or theological topics overall.
Extracurricular: Vincent has been a part of the Hircine orchestra since eighth grade because, due to his family, he has become something of a prodigy in his instrument, the cello. He is also a part of the FAS(Film Appreciation Society) and infrequently attends meetings of the fun-running club. Otherwise, Vincent enjoys the music and feel of the alternative/gothic club scene, rarely leaving with even a conversation because of his shadowy nature.
Important Details
History:
Born and raised in an upper-class family residing in Cannes, France, Vincent knew only the greatest benefits growing up. He was born to Raoul and Genevieve Moreaux, a couple whose reputation and stature far exceeded those of any normal parents; Raoul Moreaux a wealthy business owner and Genevieve Boleyn of the famous aristocratic Boleyn family. Having been raised in Cannes, an art-focused city, he began music and literary education at an early age, learning the classic string instruments and formal as well as poetic writing. He was also infatuated with languages and learned his native French along with English and German, traveling with his family to Germany and the Americas much for either business or pleasure.
By the age of twelve, the family followed his father to San Francisco, California, United States, the move caused mainly because of business. The transition was somewhat difficult for Vincent, having always been home schooled and now having to admit himself into the public school environment as well as the predominant language difference. This left him as quite a loner, staying in the background for the most part yet becoming well known as "that weird foreign kid." During his time in middle school throughout high school, he got to know very few people and had only two friends the entire time; Gia and Dylan.
The three were an odd trio, Vincent a tall, dark, and brooding young man with Dylan being a happy-go-lucky jokester whose style reflected a lack of care or coordination and Gia a beautiful young woman that had a way of making guys stop in their tracks with just a look from her piercing green eyes. Luckily for him, Gia was into him and was the kind of honest girl that loved truly and deeply. Gia and Vincent could hardly be found apart and the bullying became harsher as the jealousy of the other "normal' guys enflamed.
Early his freshman year, the tension became so hot that Gia was raped and accidentally killed by a group of drunk, jealous, and angry guys. Vincent found out and hunted down the three that had caused this tragedy and beat them to the brink of existence during a free period and was expelled from the school. At semester of his freshman year, he was transferred to Hircine and there blended in with the crowd. He took up a few extracurriculars and made a large effort to not be the "weird foreign kid" anymore, and has lived there for an easy two years since, having no problems whatsoever beyond the rowdy Varron transfers.
Fighting Style: Vincent uses three basic styles of martial art, specifically derived from France.
Savate, La canne, and Kinomichi.
Due to the fact his lower body strength outweighs his upper body strength, he uses a combination of savate and kinomichi in an offensive/defensive opponent-control method of his creation. If forced into a physical confrontation, he uses kicks and supplementary jabs from savate to attack (which is rare), and throws and locks from kinomichi to defend and disable his opponent.
If his opponent is using a weapon, depending on what it is, he will defend himself using La canne techniques with the bow of his cello, that is kept in a side pouch of the hard case he often carries, as well as kinomichi disarming and disabling techniques.
Strengths: Vincent is fairly quick and agile. He is an extremely intuitive thinker and often "out-smarts" his opponents with the combination of tactics and speed, and since he is so tall, his reach exceeds those of a shorter stature than himself. He also has very strong fingers due to his years of playing cello, so the locks and grips of kinomichi are quite effective. His natural focus and determination provided to him by his hobbies give him a boost of adrenaline while fighting so that his pain tolerance, speed, and reflexes rise.
Weaknesses: His height and build provide a prime target for the stouter fighters. He is not terribly strong physically and has a high center of gravity due to his height, making him easily knocked down depending on who he is fighting. He also has a weak offensive hand game thus is why he uses his lower body offensively and upper body defensively. The fact that he is oddly compassionate often comes back to haunt him because he refuses to kill or maim opponents.
