((OOC: Directly after this thread, another advancement of the organ trafficking arc.)) During times of great distress, people sometimes find things they never thought they had. Valencia never knew she could run the whole way from Hircine to Paragon, but once she did, she was rather impressed that she broke her record in terms of running nonstop for quite a ways... And at the same, some fatigue caught up despite her good stamina. The Asian breathed heavily at Paragon's gates, aware that her library shift for this school was before noon. It was way past noon and twilight was setting in, lengthening her shadow and foreboding the pursuit that awaits her. She stretched her limbs and hoped these precious few seconds weren't ill-spent... Someone already died during her meeting with Pine. “Where is he...” Valencia jogged to the entrance of the school and entered. The fluorescent lights were still on and as expected, there wasn't much activity. Since when did Paragon students actually want to stay after school? Regardless, the stunt woman was on her guard as she briskly walked down a hall, searching for any sign of the person she was rescuing. She opened doors to empty classrooms and looked through vacant windows... She decided against calling out her target's name. She rounded a corner and was hit by a disgusting stench she thought she'd never smell again... The scent of a decaying body. Smart people... Aren't supposed to go towards those kinds of signs......Especiallly Valencia, who winced at the most minute of stimuli but took the brunt of hard-hitting attacks with a grin. She covered the bottom half of her face with her jacket and sidled closer to the rotting fumes. What was she going to see...? She didn't have to see Chelsea Owens to know something gruesome happened to her... And she didn't have to see what she saw when she opened the door and took a few steps into a biology classroom. Sitting on one of the counters was Garrett Avci, director of the Chase Institute of Exotic Culinary Arts, facing away from the door with something in his hand. From anyone's perspective, it was something resembling a handheld transceiver. From Valencia's perspective, she saw that his hand was coated in a flesh layer of blood, leaving fingerprints all over the transceiver. She couldn't believe it after years of working with fake blood, but there it was. Real blood on the hands of a murderer. [GARRETT]: “...So the first body was removed without a trace? Heh. Tall wasn't joking about easy pickings. I don't think anyone would care if some traces of blood were leftover. Blame it on another student... It's that easy. However, that's the most ease I can expect here. The whelp actually put up a better fight than Hircine students would. I actually got my hands dirty because you couldn't deal with him yourself. I wanted him in the best condition possible, but it'll have to do. Same goes for the witness--” He turned around and saw Valencia backing out of the room with fear written all over her face. She never heard of or met Garrett before and was indeed set back by his wild appearance. He was large, had some stubble going on, and overall looked much more animalistic and menacing than he would in a formal setting (which is saying a lot since he wasn't the sort to change his appearance). In his low rumble of his voice, he sneered at Valencia while relaying the new development to his cohorts. [GARRETT]: “Looks like we have another witness. Female. Asian descent. Unnaturally blond hair. Messed up eyes... Maybe a seeing disorder, but we can remove them. Average height... Fit... Yet tender...” Valencia didn't want to stay to hear what she'd taste like and swung the door shut into the beast's face (complete with the slamming sound of impact as he pounced towards her) as she ran for dear life further down the hall. She heard an angered roar behind her after the door was torn open and the chase began. As said, she never really got the chance to properly explore Paragon's campus and here she was, getting a crash course tour of the place. Talk about “need to know basis” in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was by sheer luck that she made it into the sanctuary of a library, but as she searched for a means to lock the door, she figured it was futile—It was a matter of time 'til Garrett just knocked down another cheap California education budget cut door. They can afford putting psychos all in the same place, but not on education and construction? I hate this school soooooo badly...Valencia's objective? Find her friend and get the hell out of Paragon alive. Oh, and protect him too, but she didn't know how effective she'd be able to do that after assessing the strength and possible number of enemies she's up against. She pulled out her phone and began texting. She hesitated on texting her friend in danger (at risk of revealing his location), so she sent her message to everyone on her contacts list. This may be a bad time, but I need your help.
I'm trying to rescue someone at Paragon. His friend is dead, but he's still alive. The large dirty-blond man is the killer. You can't miss him. He's not alone. I just escaped. I'm in the library. DON'T COME IN THROUGH THE MAIN DOORS.
Gratitude for your consideration, but know that your lives will be at risk. Be careful. ((OOC: You're more likely to run into Garrett's henchmen than him. Consider Garrett as a boss. He's friggin' strong.))

(OOC: I've been told there's 8-12 workers of Garret's, armed with either stun batons or tazers.) Beep Beep. The phone vibrated and beeped from the wooden desk, bringing Tiao's eyes up from the Psychology book. Snatching the phone from the desk, Tiao slid the cover open to reveal the text message. The name was one that brought some conflicted feelings to the chinese student. Their last encounter hadn't been without its tensions, going beyond the usual complications of whatever type of relationship there is between the two. It took a moment for Tiao to view the message, hesitating on his thoughts of what the girl was going to say. His brow instantly furrowed, followed up with widened eyes. Tiao shot up from his desk, verbally cursing himself for wasting time. Tiao ran to his father's office, searching for the keys to one of his father's cars. For the first time in his life, Tiao had no thoughts concerning his father's orders and punishments. Completely enthralled in the situation at hand, Tiao wasted no time opening the garage and getting into the car as he made his way--much over the speed limit--to Paragon Institute. Tiao Lei Shen came to a screeching stop at the side of Paragon, leaving the car illegal parked in three spaces. Hopping over the car door, Tiao pulled his phone out of his pocket, re-reading the text. He noted the mention of not going through the front door. It was his instincts to bust through anyway, tearing through anyone that stood in his way at finding at protecting the only person he cared about in his life. He was a fighter. Coming with that was his family inherited arrogance, leading him to be overly headstrong. Having to remind himself of this, for Valencia's sake and not his own, Tiao fought every urge to go through the front door, instead finding the closest door towards the back. He tried the door, half surprised that it was actually locked in a place like this. Taking a step back, Tiao stomped on the metal door twice before the lock gave and bent, swinging open. Only seconds after entering the building a man came scrambling around the corner, no doubt hearing the noise Tiao caused in his entrance. He was not much larger than Tiao, if only a bit stockier. He had short brown hair, buzzed like he was in the military. There were several things Tiao felt were off center in the man, like the stun baton, or the rubber gloved hands that held them. Among it all, Tiao noticed his eyes and the feral grin that came with it. The look was familiar, yet Tiao couldn't place it. Not yet. The man leapt forward, swing to the inside with the baton. Tiao parried the arm, slapping it away as he took a step back. Following up with a back swing, the man's baton grazed Tiao's jacket as he backed up once more, finding a short retreat by the wall on his back. Though the metal barely hit him, Tiao felt a tingle of electricity as it passed over his midsection. Briefly glancing down, Tiao's head raised back up and narrowed in on the man's eyes as his grin grew even wider. The baton wielder stepped forward again, intending on slamming it atop Tiao's head now that he had nowhere to go. Much more comfortable moving forward than backward, Tiao exploded forward. Raising his left arm, Tiao's forearm blocked the forearm of the man's right attacking arm, simultaneously slamming his right palm into the man's solar plexus. Winded, The man's eyes lost their humor as they dialated in the shadow of Tiao's palm as it struck him in the nose. Tiao's left arm turned to grab the the guy's wrist, twisting it sharply and causing him to drop the weapon. Extending the right arm out with his left, Tiao stepped through and accross with his right, placing himself under the man's arm as he pulled down, dislocating the elbow on his shoulder. Continuing the forward and turning momentum, Tiao pivoted on his right foot and swung his left around, placing himself at the man's back. The man began to scream from the pain, Tiao still holding the broken arm and twisting it. At the same time, Tiao's left palm went to the side of the man's head, striking his left ear from behind and driving all the way through til the man's head cracked into the drywall. Pushing once more for good measure, Tiao lodged the unconcious man's head into the whole in the drywall, leaving his limp body half standing-half hanging by his head. What the hell is going on, Valencia?

There would be a small amount of piano then a throaty female singing the words "Sick like a sewer, Sick like the End." As the phone vibrated in Vince's pants. He figured it was probably just one of the guys wanting to hang out after a long day of trying to break up fights or getting their asses kicked.
That was the only reason Vince was still at the school, he managed to find and quickly subdue an idiot that was trying to run around breaking the windows in a classroom. Why? He couldn't tell, and honestly he didn't care. One thrown chair and a sweep later, Vince was pummeling the man that was on the ground.
He'd left him there afterwards, reading the text from Valencia once and wondering what the hell she meant. It crossed his mind that maybe she had seen him beating the poor guy, but the lack of blonde hair on his dead quickly put that to rest. That and Vince definately couldn't be described as large.
Suddenly an odd thought would cross his mind, the image of a rotted skeleton in a sack. Maybe? If they had finally caught on that Vince and Valencia had discovered the body, they might be trying to cut off loose ends.
His mind aswirl as he began moving in a hurried walk towards the library, it wasn't long before Vince would come across one of the various henchmen in the school. His eyes would catch ahold of Vince and give a quizzical look.
"I thought all you twits left already.
Vince would sneer and snap back, keen mind turning thought to verbalization near instantaneously.
"Who the hell says twit anymore? Your words bely your age old man."
That didn't go over well with the thug, he was already the oldest in Avci's group aside from the cannibal himself. He didn't need some punk telling him that and more importantly he was already under orders to subdue and capture anyone that might be a witness. He'd move towards Vince in a hasted walk. Face turning more red with the second. What the man lacked in youth he made up for in experience.
Vince's eyes kept on the man, most importantly eyeing the taser in the larger man's hand. It would spark out in a loud click as the man drew it back to thrust, his left hand sending an underhanded punch to Vince's gut as he did so. The younger man didn't expect the punch and coughed as he ducked down and back. The clicking taser barely missing his body, though leaving a scorch mark on his shirt.
"Well, atleast you aren't senile yet...."
That was enough to make the man give a war cry and lunge at Vince. The Mouth's quick feet had him back peddling and then thrusting forward himself, sending a sharp jab to the man's nose. The pain stunned him briefly and Vince would dance in again, his left fist darting in low to the man's stomach, a moderate blow, then twisting around his left side to slam his right down on the back of his neck.
The attack would go well, minus the full one second tase that Vince would get as his opponent fell to the floor. His stomach muscles contracting and sharp pain sent in a jolt throughout his body. The Genaht member barely had enough time to kick the man in the face as he got up.
Then twice more in the gut.
Then a good stomp on the taser holding wrist before relieving him of the weapon.
It would be useful almost undoubtedly. Though he couldn't figure out why the man was here to begin with. His mind would begin to work out the possibilities for these men and the text once more as he made his way to the library, taser safely stowed and out of sight in his pocket. Hand wrapped around it, he would hardly need a reason to use it, knowing there wasn't likely to be anyone kind in this school.
Then again, that was nothing new.

Around the height of 6'5” and weighing roughly 280 lbs judging by his burly build, Garrett was a beast of a man who conjured images of feral men who trained by fighting wild bears. He never did such a thing yet, but people to this day wouldn't believe him if he said so. As a rich chef, he definitely has the time and money to work out when he's not in the kitchen... Not to mention the healthy diet consisting of plenty of protein (with the children he's been eating lately). The director prowled the halls, irritable that he lost track of his recent prey. He rumbled under his breath as he rubbed his face where he slammed into the door. No witnesses. With Garrett taking the risk and joining his men for once, that took more priority than getting a feel for the school's security and killing students while he was at it. Two witnesses... Two too many until he learns that two more may join the list, especially a particular tiger-like persona whom this sabretooth tiger-like persona would actually be delighted to encounter. His transceiver beeped. News. [GARRETT]: “Did you find them? Hm? Grrrr... Incompetent fool. Do you really want to know my opinion? Just because I said this job would be easy doesn't mean you're allowed to slack off, especially under my watch. My chefs are more efficient than the lot of you hired hands, so you better climb the pecking order I'm setting or I'll literally have your head on a silver platter.” This job was supposed to be easy... That's why he brought the weakest of his cohorts on this mission to assess the school's might. Two of his men were downed: One was found without his taser and the other (whose head is stuck in a wall courtesy of Tiao) wasn't responding to his transceiver. Garrett wasn't stupid. No way were the prey he's looking for strong enough to take his men on. If anything, he might've underestimated Valencia or she's opportunistic. Whatever the case may be, more possible witnesses... The last thing he wanted as he made his way to the cafeteria. Valencia didn't know how many people received her message, but she became nervous the longer she stared at the clock in the library. It felt like time was moving much slower than usual and the only sense of time she had was the sun setting outside. Where was her friend...? Was he even still alive? What was she supposed to do now? So many questions raced around her head and as she sat on the floor hopelessly, she felt the camera in her pocket. Evidence. She had no idea what was going on, but gathering evidence was one of her strongest suits. Should she survive, there'll be proof of what happened. No damsel in distress here... She had to get out there and do what she was asked to do. If only I brought my extendable rod when I went to that meeting... I knew I should've went along with my paranoia but noooo, I had to come unarmed...She gulped with resolved and texted her next message. Always keep in touch and update. That's an important rule when it came to professionalism. I'm leaving the library to look for my friend. I'll keep you posted. Let me know where you are if you're out there. Valencia put her phone away and headed to the back of the library where she found a crowbar. Not the best of weapons, but it'll do until she finds help. With her crowbar at the ready, she slowly opened the library's main doors, going against her earlier instructions. The reason why she gave it was to prevent unwanted encounters, but it looks like that can't be helped since they're making a stand. She listened, waited, and felt that the coast was clear. She got out of the library and closed the door behind her, tucking a scrap of paper into one of the hinges. She might check back later and it'll give her a sign that someone passed by the area. Providing that they open the door and not notice it, but still. Worth a shot.Valencia crept down the hall and heard someone approaching... Who could it be? The steps weren't heavy and the presence didn't even remotely resemble Garrett's, so it must be someone he spoke to over the transceiver, help, or even her friend. She opened the door to an empty classroom and stood inside, just a foot from the doorway. Once the person passes by, she'll know for sure who it is and may even get a preemptive attack if its an enemy. The footsteps came closer and the moment the figure was in plain view, Valencia was awash in relief. “Vince... You're here!” She wasn't beaming, but her appreciation could be heard in her voice. Probably one of the few times she'll overlook his jackass-ish nature. Valencia was still on her guard though, she held her crowbar tightly as she kept her senses open and spoke quickly, almost with a hint of panic... “Before you ask, I don't know what's going on aside from what I texted. I just made a beeline to the library, see. If I had to guess from what I overheard, this is connected to the one time where we found Chelsea. He... Mentioned Hircine, cleaning up after messes, oh gawd I don't know what's going on... Paraphrasing... He said something about someone being in the best condition possible and taking out my eyes and I was tender... He's a FREAK! He's HUGE. He knocked down a DOOR as I ran from him!”

Christophe had been at home for a couple of hours when a horrible as well as incredibly annoying thought had struck him. He had left his guitar, the acoustic one at least, back at Paragon. That wasn't so bad in of itself, he'd done it before, and knew enough to conceal it from those of his schoolmates who might have thought to steal it. However, he needed his guitar later that night. Christophe was playing a bit of filler at a club, not a whole lot, but it was enough to show what he could do.
So the thought that came to him was: How exactly was he planning on showing off his stuff without the acoustic guitar he had specified he was going to bring along!?
Needless to say, by the time he arrived back at Paragon, Christophe was in an exceptionally poor mood. His school wasn't that far from where he lived, in all truthfulness, it wasn't a huge trek. It was just that the trip was such a waste of time. There were so many better things he could have been doing than walking back to his school. It was like some form of torture. Get home, go back to school, then get home AGAIN. For somebody who just wanted to have some fun, it was insufferably boring.
At long last, Christophe was there and slipping through the gates of the school. As he headed towards the back entrance (it was closer to where he'd left his guitar) a grin slowly crept onto his face. There was still quite some time before he was due at the club, and here he was at the institute after hours... Just imagine what kind of chaos he could cause for the next weekday! Perhaps it wasn't so bad that he had forgotten his instrument after all. Christophe would never have thought of coming back to the institute else. Heck, he probably wouldn't have had the balls to creep back in with the express intention of screwing around. True, the doors would probably be locked, but Christophe believed he had a good enough kick to...
Do... that?
Christophe blinked hard, but it was still there. Somebody had busted the outside door open, just as he himself had been planning to do. Well, if Christophe had intended to cause trouble, it was no great leap of the imagination to surmise that whoever had done this had the same goal in mind. Whether it was stealing, sabotage or whatever, he didn't know. Still... the intrusion wasn't welcome, it would probably stop him going about his own agenda, a pity. Then again, hunting down a trespasser to see what was up? Now that, unless he was very much mistaken, would be fun.
After that Christophe lost any idea that he might have had as to what the FUCK was going on.
“... A man with his head stuck in the wall. You know what? I'm not going to even bother trying to figure this shit out,” Christophe muttered to himself as he passed through the door, edging past the unconscious man a few seconds later. Clearly this wasn't just one person, unless he had spontaneously decided to headbutt himself into submission.
Christophe wasn't exactly sure where to go from there. He'd been after his guitar first, but now that he knew that other people as well as him were in the Institute, it threw a whole new spin on things. Did he just walk away to avoid trouble?
What!? Hell no! I'm not going back home with empty hands, that would make this even more of a waste of time than it already was! Guitar, and then I'll take a look around.
It didn't take much time to find his instrument, it was right where he left it. Hidden behind a set of lockers as it happened, risky, considering how much other Paragon students loved to hurl each other into them, but much safer than a classroom. Christophe was just sliding the lockers back into position when he heard footsteps from down the hallway. Leaving them where they were, he turned to face whoever it was that was approaching. Some guy, a little shorter than Christophe, but much stockier. His face was furrowed by a huge frown, and his lips moved as he walked, Christophe guessed that he wasn't the brightest spark around. However, it seemed he'd brought along something provide for that particular deficiency.
Is that a taser? Hoo boy, I've stumbled into some crap now.
Fortunately, the bruiser put away the taser in favour of a hand-held radio of some kind, which he began speaking into.
“This is Williams, I found somebody in-” Christophe had already seen and heard enough. If this guy had backup, no way in hell was he letting it be brought down on him. By the time Williams had begun speaking, Christophe was already charging headlong towards him. Startled, he dropped the radio in mid sentence and raised the baton his was wielding in his other hand, but not quickly enough.
Christophe's kick snapped into Williams' face with enough force to knock him from his feet, but not put him out for the count. Christophe cursed as the man he'd attacked picked himself up off the ground, clutching his jaw. He went forward and tried for a kick whilst Williams was trying to stand, but he gave Christophe a thump in the foot with his baton for his troubles. The musician yelped and clutched his foot ruefully, back-pedalling a few steps to gain some room. Christophe realised the jolt he'd felt couldn't have just been the impact, and resolved to tread carefully around that baton.
He didn't exactly get the chance, as once Williams got the opportunity, he bull-rushed Christophe, smashing into his chest with one shoulder. Just as the musician was trying to recover from that, Williams charged again, hauling Christophe up from the ground and hurling him bodily into the selfsame row of lockers he'd retrieved his guitar from. They rocked ominously for a moment, but fortunately, didn't fall. Dazed, Christophe had just enough wits about him to roll aside and dodge a thrust from Williams' taser. This gave him a chance to recuperate, and whilst his opponent was reigning in his wayward strike, Christophe lashed out from the ground at the back of William's knee. With one leg kicked out from underneath him, Williams toppled hard, his head hitting the floor with such a loud crack that even Christophe winced.
He wasn't going to stop there though, and brought a heel savagely down on top of Williams' taser hand. Christophe grinned to himself when he heard the sound of bones cracking and a sudden shout of pain. He wasn't a sadist, he just didn't take kindly to people trying to electrocute him. Williams got up again, holding his mangled fingers, teeth gritted against the pain. Christophe launched a kick at the bruiser's midriff, doubling him over, then went forward, driving his knee into the man's skull. Williams' head whipped up, but he still tried to throw a punch, a wayward blow that far missed the mark. Christophe swung another foot around, a straight kick that drove Williams against the lockers. Seeing them teeter, the musician went for broke and just plain jumped at Williams with no attack, trying to throw his weight against the bruiser and the lockers themselves. Christophe jumped aside as they fell, trapping Williams beneath with a thud. They weren't all that heavy, he would live. Well, Christophe bloody hoped the guy would live!
Christophe stepped away from the mess, though not before picking up his guitar. As he walked along, his foot brushed something. He looked down, it was the radio. Christophe picked it up and smiled to himself.
“BAISEZ-VOUS!*” he yelled into it, before hurling it against a wall and quickly hurrying off. This might be more fun than he had been expecting.
* Baisez-vous! - Fuck you!

Taking a moment to look down the hall, Tiao was convinced that he was alone in the general vicinity--at least for the time being. Tiao walked back towards the whole in the wall and the man imbedded in it. He crouched down, picking up the remnants of what was once a bluetooth headset. Broken, he tossed the pieces aside, having no use out of it now. He stood back up, moving once again into the hallway.
Intending on wasting no more time, Tiao broke into a sprint. Not slowing down even on his turns, Tiao widely rounded the corner. Not more than several feet away was a man running in the opposite direction, dressed very similiarly to the man in the drywall. This one was taller, though, and a bit more slender. He rose his right arm high, not too hard to assume what his intentions were. Unable to slow down in an evasion at this point, Tiao leapt off his right foot, planting his left foot on the wall.
He pushed off his left foot, getting another small step off the wall on his right foot. With the built up momentum and Tiao's agility, he ran on the wall for a brief second, narrowly avoiding the baton that swung where his head had just been inches to the right. Pushing off his right foot now, Tiao vaulted himself off the wall and into the man's shoulder. Intending on a knee strike, Tiao hadn't gotten that far due to their close proximities. Instead, they ended up bumping shoulders, causing the man to stumble off balance to his left.
Squaring off once more, Tiao wasted no time as he moved in at his target yet again. As he moved in, Tiao's left shoulder was struck with the shaft of the baton, likely causing a bruise, though the shocking burn being the stronger sensation even through the jacket. Growling, Tiao's right hand clasped around the man's throat, driving him into the wall behind. The man's left hand went to Tiao's wrist, trying to pull it off as he raised the baton again. Before it come down Tiao's left arm gripped his wrist in opposition, pushing it back into the wall as well as his right knee raised off the ground, crashing into the man's groin. The man bent over on reaction, Tiao's grip closing in even harder on the man's throat. Cutting off all air from the trachea, Tiao slammed his head back into the wall, rebounding off as the man slumped to the floor again.
Beep Beep.
As if on cue Tiao's phone vibrated and beeped again in his pocket. Tiao pulling it out right away, finding great relief in seeing Val's name again. Pressing reply, Tiao changed his path now that she was no longer in the library. He began texting his reply, having held off until now at the thought of giving away Valencia's position from whoever was after her. Moving into the the Cafeteria, Tiao wasn't as aware of his surroundings as he should have been, his thumbs busy typing away as he walked like most highschool students'.
Damn Val. I'm entering the caf now, where are you going? Stay safe and still til I find you. Please. ~Lei Shen

When his name was voiced Vince immediately jumped back and had the taser ready and damn near struck out at Valencia before his mind caught up to the fact the voice was both female and familiar. After that point he'd only smirk. His grin turning to a more worried look as she began to quickly rattling off in a near paniced tone.
And Valencia wasn't one that was easily distressed. If anything, Vince had learned that this particular female would typically do just about anything in her power to avoid the damsel in distress situation. The fact that things were bothering her this much now was certainly a worry.
The confirmation that these guys were also likely the same that had killed Chelsea didn't lighten the mood either. If anything it made him eye the crowbar that Valencia was holding. He wasn't sure if she was ready to maim a man to begin with, and honestly wasn't sure if he was either, but knew he was abit stronger and the weapon would do better with him.
"Trade, then we'll find your friend, then we'll get the fuck out of here and figure out what we're to do."
Vince would hold out the taser butt first to Valencia, ready to accept the crowbar in return. If she exchanged he'd get an idea of the weight of the weapon, knowing full well that this could easily crack a mans skull open in his hands. He fully intended that effect if such a threat arrived.

((OOC: Pardon the wait!)) [red]@ Christophe[/red]Christophe wasn't immediately aware of this, but he wasn't the only person cursing the body collectors. Should he keep running, he'd eventually run past an English classroom where the worst kind of “French” could ever be heard... Coming from the friend Valencia was trying to rescue, whom was up against the whiteboard, facing off two men (one of which sporting a confused expression to Christophe's foreign expletive). The relatively short (5'4”) young man had an average build. He lacked the body and discipline to be a fighter and it painfully showed no matter how violent the fella looked. Let's call him Frank, since there's no other way he could possibly express himself. [FRANK]: “What's the matter? You @#$%&-ing *!#&^@-ers compensating? Can't take me one-on-one, man-to-man, you BUI.G@8gET*#&IEGbvsdgefihD][l!!”[/size] Hailing from the Kindlewood public school, Frank was Valencia's partner in crime when it came to making a living on the streets of San Francisco. But with his firecracker attitude, one wonders why he isn't seen very often, if at all. Quite simply, both grew more and more self-sufficient in their financial pursuits. Valencia wanted more reliable pay while Frank didn't want to rely solely on Valencia's abilities to make a living. The con artist is as far from middle class as Valencia, but he's stubborn enough to prefer handling his own problems than admit that he needs help. Handling his own problems, according to his logic, includes calling Valencia so he can make the most of her company. [FRANK]: “What are ya, scared?! Didja know that the number infinity had to be invented to count the number of victims Layla and I cream? I bet you're quaking in your boots now, huh? Especially since I called her! She's on her way right now! I bet you're pissing your pants, wishing you had your blanky, and crying inside that yo' MOMMA forgot to pack your lunch today! 'Cause you still live with your MOM. Who is so ugly that when she joined an ugly contest, the judges said 'Sorry, no professionals'! YEAH, I WENT THERE.” The bigger momma's boy of the two lunged forward with his taser, causing Frank to dive away to the side to avoid a painful shock. The good news: The angry guy went face-first into the whiteboard. The bad news: Witness-Killer No. 2 snapped out of his confusion and tackled Frank on the floor... And was reaching for his taser. [red]@ Vince[/red]Valencia's eyes flicked to Vince's taser when he reacted to her and she could've sworn that he smirked before his expression changed. She wasn't aware of her panic and thought she was doing the smart thing by letting him know everything she could get out. On hindsight, it betrayed the fearful side of her she never wanted to reveal, so she covered it up the best she could by standing tall, taking slow breaths, and holding the crowbar like it was an extension of the self. Her quivering fingers was a sign that it took more than awareness to quell her distress though. Things like this showed that fear was often beyond her control and controlled her actions more than she did. Vince made an offer to trade weapons before setting off to find Frank. She eyed the taser, then the crowbar. One weapon was associated to women who wanted to protect themselves from muggers in parking lots, the other was associated to thieves and smashing skulls. But... But it's more fun to swing a crowbar...Still, there was no time to worry about image and Valencia wasn't in the right state of mind to make a big deal about it. She handed Vince her crowbar and received the taser in time to feel her cell vibrate, practically startling her because she thought she accidentally activated one of the worst weapons that could come in contact with her. She checked the inbox and found a new message from Tiao. If she wasn't glad enough that she found Vince, her complexion gained more color knowing that she'll have less to worry about with another helping hand around. She texted back. I'm with Vince. We'll be looking for my friend, so we're not entirely sure where to go yet. I'll let you know when we've made some progress.
Thank you. You too. “I love technology.” Valencia contemplated about her next destination. She knows that Frank wasn't a competent fighter, so she assumed that he was hiding (whereas he's “hiding” from the momma's boy body collector beneath someone who planned to stun and kill him). She held the taser carefully as if it may kill her while deep in thought. Fire and electrocution... Her more tangible fears. “Vince, if you were crazy hothead, where would you hide?” What a weird question. [red]@ Tiao[/red]Garrett didn't think he'd find anyone in the kitchens and after giving the place a look, he'd probably avoid the place too. There were enough health violations that made him hope that everyone he gets his hands on at this school packed their lunch. He scoffed, knowing that it was wishful thinking, and planned to pull some strings to renovate the place and hire new staff once this was over. Prisoners always ate better at their canteens than the typical student at their cafeteria. If these kids were being taught at a prison and were “easy pickings”, he wanted this body farm to at least compare to a prison if it had to measure up against Hircine. Imagine that... Another murderer running Paragon. He was headed to the front of the kitchens where the food was served when he heard someone within the vicinity. The presence was familiar... Familiar as in “I know where you sleep and have been trying to kill you ever since”. Was it Odin? No... Garrett wasn't a man who could be concealed easily, so there was little point in staying out of sight forever and guessing. He opened a side door to exit the kitchen and found himself right in front of Tiao on the far side of the room. His identity was unmistakable to anyone who've seen him at least once. He sneered, bearing his sharp teeth... [GARRETT]: “ Heh... I never thought I'd find you here... When did we last meet, a year ago? At the party? No, you weren't the one who hit me... You were the one playing hero. Who are you trying to save this time? No-- Who will save you this time?” Did Tiao know what was going on? Garrett didn't know, nor did he care. All he wanted was to tear him apart from getting in the way of ripping Odin to shreds. This was the behemoth's chance: Jabez Joaquin wasn't going to intervene. He effortlessly shoved a nearby table onto its side as he strode closer to Tiao and licked his chops.

Vince? As in the one from Genaht?
Tiao contemplated the thought within his own head, not wasting either of their time to text it back. He had to assume it was, for it was the only Vince he knew. If it wasn't, then knowing it wasn't was not going to help him figure it out any faster, and texting back and forth for a trivial answer wasn't exactly high on their priority list right now. He had no qualms with Vince--their confrontations always having been on the same side up to this point. As for Genaht members, it was the one Tiao was most fond of looking past the ex-member, Alkaiser.
Alright. Watch eachother's backs. I'll make my way to you.
No sooner had Tiao pressed the send button that a voice beckoned him from across the cafeteria. Tiao looked up accordingly, sliding his phone shut with a snap before sliding it back into his pocket as he continued to listen to what was being spoken. If Tiao could forget a feral face such as the one standing before him, which he hadn't, the words spouted from his mouth were a dead give away. At the time, he had only been an aggressive man fighting with Odin Reeves. It was a fight that was quickly broken up by Tiao himself, who would have usually had just as quickly jumped into the fray had he not been injured by MacMillan at the time. It wasn't until later that Mr. Joaquin informed the two of what he really was. And that fancy title given was nothing but a synonym for cannibal.
"Avci..." Tiao snarled as his leg's seperated shoulder width apart, his teeth bared as his arms extended by his hips, his hands tensed in claws. Thrusting his head forward, Tiao's muscles itched in anticipation of the tank that marched his way in his direction.
"Come on! I'll tear you apart! The only taste you'll have is your own blood, come on!"
Tiao shouted as he snarled through his teeth. If he was to find and rescue Valencia, the Tiger of Hircine was going to have to rip his claws into the Sabertooth...

Anyone who knew Keith, and that number of people could be counted on one hand with some room left over, understood what he thought about most. It had been some time since he had talked to Valencia, and he had good reason considering what had happened to him recently while he was trying to get an Irish coffee, which didn't go so well for a certain locksmith.
Wearing his Paragon drab, a dull green t, a thin dark slate gray hoodie left open at the front, and a dark brown canvas duster with the liner removed, and his hair once more dyed to that temporary light brown he had been sneaking around Paragon after hours in hopes that she was pulling a late night. If she wasn't there he could just as easily drop by her apartment.
His desire to change his appearance when in Paragon had morphed. At first he just wanted to slink around unknown to the general populace, but after settling into the disguise several times, acting distant and quiet, he always felt more the part, like it was being absorbed into his normal personality to some extent.
When he couldn't find Valencia, largely due to the fact he frequently stopped to test the locks on classrooms and offices, he was beginning to hear the vague sounds of conflict floating down the once sterile halls. Instead of blindly following the noise he took to the shadows of darker hallways that moved him around the noise, hoping to get a more indirect vantage point.
Only the hallway had a figure looming in it long before Keith thought to slip by unnoticed. Figuring he couldn't rely on going unseen Keith took a quick glance to size the man up, seeing the bulge at the man's hip. There was only a handful of things that came to mind when he tried to figure out what it was, and none of them were conducive to his good health.
Determined that he wouldn't let one man be an obstacle he came up as close as he could without being noticed and then burst into a sprint, the spring in his knees launching him into the air about four feet from his target. During his forward fall his right arm was thrown down at the man's head, which had turned to the sound of the sudden sound and movement with a half second of surprise. Time slowed for Keith as his punch raced to be faster than the hand moving to the hidden weapon.
Keith won out, and his fist and arm felt the split second of pain from the pain of transferring over a hundred and sixty pounds of force into brittle cartilage. The larger man fell down and the dull thud of a hollow skull smacking into the tile floor was loud enough to be classified as a crack before the body skidded on it's shoulders. Keith stepped down on the inside of the mans legs and then pushed forward again, landing himself with his legs on either side of his victims chest, and dropped a double hammer fist into the broken nose twice.
Convinced that the man had a concusion and wouldn't be causing him any trouble Keith wiped the blood off on the inside of his duster and swung one of his legs off the body, reaching for the weapon. When he pulled it out he accidently pushed the taser on, and when the body jerked Keith pulled his hand away and smashed his fist into the bloody mush of a face again.
When the adrenaline let reason slip back into place he realized what had happened. With a grin Keith took the taser and slipped it into his right sleeve, held in place by the elastic of the hoodie, but the duster was loose enough that it wouldn't be readily apparent. With a quick glance over his shoulder to be sure he hadn't drawn any more attention Keith stood and started a quiet jog down the hall, his instincts telling him that something was very wrong at Paragon.
You know, more than usual.

Christophe hadn't been running for long when he heard a stream of curses from a nearby classroom. He immediately skidded to a halt outside, wondering once again just what the hell was going on here. From what he could gather from the words that weren't expletives (and there seemed precious few of them) somebody was trying to tangle with at least two assailants. Having already got into one scrape himself, Christophe was inclined to believe that it was more of those guys armed with tasers and batons. After all, the man he'd taken down had been using a radio, there must be more of them...
Mind made up, Christophe bounded into the classroom to have his suspicions immediately confirmed. This was a two on one, and evening up the odds a little sounded much more fun than just piling into somebody. Especially because the guy he was apparently now rescuing didn't look like much of a fighter. Besides which, wouldn't it be a little odd to suddenly charge towards those two goons and then start helping them? They'd probably watch in shock for a couple of moments then lay Christophe out right alongside the other guy.
Whoever the guy was, what he lacked in size he more than made up for with his mouth. Christophe couldn't help but grin as even in the face of being beaten down, the guy continued to verbally flay his attackers. Which reminded Christophe... the musician swung his guitar off his back to avoid it encumbering him and throwing his balance off then sprang forwards, even as the fight seemed to kick off in front of him.
Christophe, as the first goon slammed in the whiteboard, jumped into the air and lashed out with one foot, his heel aimed squarely as the back of the henchman's head. Should it connect, it would be sure to drive the unfortunate target's head directly back into the board with much more force than he had been originally. From there, Christophe would use this kick as a launching device of sorts to propel himself away. Christophe, assuming the success of his attack, would throw in a cartwheel, as he does so love to showboat. Irrespectively if he connected or not, immediately after attacking, Christophe would charge towards where the goon was grappling with his victim and unleash a low front kick to the side of his head.
He was much more comfortable kicking people around than using his fists after all.

Vince knew afew things about crazy hotheads. One that they were crazy and two that they tended to scream at the first sign of opposition and weren't likely to be very good at hiding.
Even if their lives depended on it.
"Lets look for the nearest fight, he's bound to be in one of them.
Another thing Vince knew about crazy hotheads, they didn't tend to actually WIN the fights they started. His experience showed that much, call them afew names, make afew gestures and the idiots were bound to start running at or backing away from you screaming their little heads off. Most of the time with a You just wait this or a You don't want to do that.
Vince would stop and listen for a moment, a thing not too many people knew he could do, then start moving in the direction where he thought he heard some sounds. It may or may not be the right way, but if some upset screaming got louder he would know he was onto something.

((OOC: Expect delayed responses, as I have finals and this is crunch week.))
[red]@ Tiao[/red]
True to his big cat persona, Garrett's pace became more brisk once Tiao acknowledged the cannibal. As any experienced fighter like Tiao would know, larger enemies typically equated to slower foes. Garrett was no exception and his speed was no match to the Tiger's intensive martial arts training. However, Garrett made up in that department as a chef and a man who travels. As many people may notice if they peer into the kitchens of fancy restaurants, chefs are seldom still during the dinner rush and if they aren't quick on their feet, they're likely much quicker with their hands and the rest of their upper body. They have to be, for it's their livelihood.
It took a long stride or two by the time Garrett was two yards away and initiating the first strike. He lunged forward to his right (Tiao's left) and swung his claw-like left into a fierce arc, seemingly like an all out hook that'd deck any stationary fool in the face. But once he lands on his right foot, anyone who avoided the first blow may miss the upcoming two. The first swing was meant to set up for a returning backhand aiming for Tiao's neck, followed by the right fist meant to be concealed by his shield-like actions. Nearly a foot taller and weighing at least 100 lbs heavier than Tiao, getting hit by any of these strikes was bound to knock him off his feet, if not into the air and into a nearby table.
[red]@ Christophe[/red]
Momma's Boy was definitely out like a light through Frank and Christophe's collaborate effort (used loosely) to smack his head into the whiteboard twice. After taking an aerial route to the next goon, an unpredicted sharp kick to the noggin was enough to make him drop his taser and hold onto his head in pain, freeing Frank from his grip. Since Frank has been around these two since the beginning of this ordeal, he knew that this guy paid too much attention to everything that distracts him. He took this opportunity to writhe and wriggle, complete with flailing his arms every which-way with every chance... One of which led to Frank slamming an elbow into the goon's face, causing the fella to withdraw even further from the pain just long enough for the student to get back on his feet...
[FRANK]: “HA! Who taught YOU how to tackle?! Were you the benchwarmer during each game? That's sooooooo pathetic! And here you are, making a big fool of yourself! Can't take on a few kids, can ya? CAN YA CAN YA!? OOOOOOOHHH YOU GOT OWNED SOOOOOOOO BAAAAAAADDLY!! Some kind of professional YOU are! You're just a n00b! You must've been adopted.”
Frank probably should've used his efforts to knock out the goon instead of pissing off someone who's clearly still conscious. Luckily for Frank, the guy was disoriented and the trash talking didn't help him regain his senses. Witness-Killer no. 2 grabbed the nearest thing on the floor and quickly got to his feet during the slander fest. He was seeing multiples of his enemies and roared as he threw himself at the two (or ten, from his perspective). Frank did what came naturally to him and ran behind Christophe to handle it, but being the trusty sidekick he was, he pointed out something interesting...
[FRANK]: “You. Are. A RIOT!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! WE'RE GONNA BE, GASPZORS, ERASED!!”
Witness-Killer no. 2 grabbed the nearest thing when he was on the floor and it was a dry erase marker that fell from whiteboard's ledge after Momma's Boy smacked into it. No taser. The guy charging Christophe didn't seem to notice this fact when he was just pissed that Frank's words were coming from the newcomer's general direction. Trust your partner, indeed.
[red]@ Vince & Keith[/red]
Valencia was the sort to ignore or tolerate crazy hotheads rather than anticipate their next action, so she trusted Vince's opinion on their behaviors. She nodded and felt her cell vibrate once again, confirming that Tiao got her message. She closed it up and exhaled as she put her cell away, knowing that it'll be easier for Tiao to find them once they reach a definite location. She followed Vince, expecting the unexpected, and paused when he did so... Just enough to hear hollering down the way. Was it Frank? Or someone else? Someone good or bad? She had a pensive expression on her face as she took in what she saw and heard more carefully now that she calmed down some. She remembered the last incident... The details were kept quiet to prevent panic until more was found out. By being here, meeting the perpetrator, having her camera, and calling in extra witnesses, Valencia felt as though something was done right for once and she felt more confident in her ability to act fast.
She glanced at Vince to indicate that she was going to do something, then began jogging further down the hall. The sun's final rays were on the horizon and the exterior lights on Paragon's campus were beginning to light up... While its interior lighting was beginning to turn off sections at a time. If there was any proof of Paragon using its money wisely, it's by setting the lights to a timer in order to save electricity, considering how few stayed on campus after hours of their own free will. The lights in the section Vince and Valencia left were suddenly turned off, almost signifying a point of no return... And speaking of points of no return, Valencia found someone between the two of them and where Frank's trash talk was originating: Keith. She didn't recognize him at first because of the change in hair color, but once he drew nearer, he felt more familiar. It's that prickly aura... She drew her taser and waited for Vince to catch up. He might not know who Keith was, but he was going to find out.
Little did Valencia know that Keith had information that she didn't about this event. Not only that, but he had Matt and Richard on his side. This was going to be an awkward meeting... But with Vince present and her newfound initiative, there's some hope that it probably won't go as bad as she thinks. Besides, he agreed to help her when the time came some time ago. Valencia spoke as clearly as she could to make her point clear from the get-go.
“If you're here, I'm pretty sure you know what I mean by saying that things aren't right right now since... Well, it's hard to miss. Strangers on the campus, my friend likely caterwauling further down the hall, a murder, and a big murderer aiming to kill off witnesses. I don't know what's going on or why, rather, but we're going to find out. I... Didn't call you, so I don't know how long you've been here... Do you know what's going on?”
And despite her newfound initiative, it was going to take a bit more effort for her to ask for his help. Valencia looked to Vince as if it'd help her before trying to get the rest of her words out.
“Y-you may not be aware of this, but we're all witnesses and even if we knock off the communication between the bad guys, they're bound to figure out that people are messing up their operations.”
...Like in MGS when we kill the guard while they're talking over their transceivers and the folks in charge send in back up when they don't get a response.
“Any kind of help you can give is appreciated.”

Keith's steady footsteps didn't take him very far away from where he had dropped the odd man with the taser before sounds of trash talk was coming from somewhere in the hall. He thought it was to the side behind one of the doors, but his attention was drawn to the other end of the hall where two figures rounded and stared at him.
He kept himself relaxed and calm, the perception of his aura being the prickly wasn't entirely inaccurate. But with the change he had been undergoing because of his frequent trips into Paragon changed more than his appearance, he was more like a void, a light presence that could brush by without much more than a passing curiosity. Bland and placid, it wasn't something that went with his normal image.
So the perception of the aura might change, but he wasn't the one who bought into the whole aura thing.
Keith had gone over reasons he would help her and the kind of situation he wouldn't. He wouldn't help her cripple herself if the situations didn't demand his help, this one obviously was too large for any one person to tackle safely. He had pointed out that he would help in any other case, and she already had help so that even bypassed the first completely. So with everything said and his mind having run down the list of problems and solutions for what he was told he came to a conclusion.
He nodded and walked forward in an unhurried pace with the intention of following Valencia's lead since his grasp on the situation wasn't nearly as strong as hers. When he was walking forward he had to momentarily remind himself not to view the other male as a threat or obstacle. He recognized the face, vaguely, as one of those that were a part of the famed Genaht during his previous year of school.
Since it made no difference he simply ignored his presence for the time being.

(OOC: Sorry for the wait. Holidays and all.)
The first attack was enough enough to see coming, though ironically not to different than an opening attack often utilized by himself. Tiao leaned back, evading the first attack without any problems. The follow up came quicker than Tiao expected, forcing the senior to rely on his instincts and reactions even more than usual. Taking a small step back with his right, Tiao's stance became more balanced as his left arm rose, taking the impact of the back swing on his own forearm.
The far greater momentum of Avci would force Tiao to take another step back with his left, placing his feet side by side once more, facing Garret at a 45 degree angle. The burly limbs of his opponent blocking his sight, Tiao brought both his forearms together in front of his face. Bending his arms at a 90 degree angle Tiao would form a shield that covered the most surface area, intending to block the weakspots of his head, neck, and chest. The fist would connect with the outer forearms, creating a resounding thud.
Tiao's arms would feel the impact, though no pain would be felt thanks to the years of nerve damage acquired through his father's training. That, however, didn't stop the force of the larger man's punch. Tiao might have blocked it, but the sheer power behind it would cause Tiao to be knocked off his feet, being sent backwards into a nearby cafeteria table. Sliding on his back, Tiao rolled backwards at the edge of the table, landing in a crouch on the other side of the table as Garret.
Popping up, Tiao would place his hands on the edge of the table, growling as he would ram it into the larger man's thighs or groin, depending on his positioning to the table. Knowing that the table would be stopped one way or another by Garret's size, Tiao would use his athleticism with the ongoing momentum to handspring back over the table, intending on planting both feet directly into Garret's face.

((Sorry this took so long, I've been kinda ill over the past couple of days)
Okay, that's one less to deal with. Christophe thought upon seeing the henchman he'd bounced off the whiteboard collapse to the ground. It had been far easier than dealing with the last goon that he'd run afoul of for sure. Still, Christophe knew it would be foolish to assume he would be able to take everyone that he encountered by surprise. Then again, that was just guessing. Christophe had seen three goons already (well, four counting the one that had been jammed into the wall), surely there couldn't be too many more?
But I still have no idea what's going on here. I can't take anything for granted.
Christophe had to cut short that line of thought though, as the captive surprised him by wriggling free from the remaining henchman. Loudmouth or not, the man had some guts. Christophe smiled to himself as the guy he was rescuing laid into his assailant with a barrage of trash-talk. It wasn't perhaps the best of times for it, but it was the kind of thing that was impossible not to find funny.
A vague flash of irritation did come over him then, admittedly, as Frank opted to continue insulting the goon rather than lay him to rest. But what the hey, each to his own. Christophe would rather he had only one person in front of him, that made it easier to manoeuvre. This was especially important as the only other guy involved in this little fracas who wasn't well... unconscious was on Christophe's side. He didn't want to go colliding with him.
Don't think you want to be using that mon ami... Christophe observed quietly to himself as his companion loudly pointed out that the goon had picked rather the wrong thing to use as a weapon. The henchman charged, and Christophe decided he wasn't going to give Frank's words the chance to filter through. Christophe darted forwards at an angle, moving so that he was almost to one side of his attacker. At the same time, he thrust his right knee forward as hard as he could. The goon was unlikely to be able to slow down his headlong rush, and Christophe's attack coupled with his own momentum would likely knock the wind right out of him. Sometimes there was showy, sometimes there was brutally effective.

Vince would eye the guy in the hoodie, he wasn't sure about him, even after Valencia had addressed him with some familiarity. Still the times being what they were he couldn't find fault in the help. He was moving against an unknown enemy that was known to kill, a meat shield between him and his target wasn't a bad thing.
Vince would ready the clawed crowbar and move closely with Valencia as they got closer to the sound of the fight. Afew more one liners from the apparant rescue target were beginning to come in clearer, Vince had to admit, given the right circumstances afew of them would be amusing.
He didn't have much else to do at this point, besides move closer to the loud mouth victim, which wasn't him for once.

[red]@ Tiao[/red]
Garrett's second and following attacks connected with Tiao. As the monster making the first move, he expected his prey to be brutally injured by now, if not killed. He wanted to hear bones crack or a visceral cry of pain, but heard neither save for solid thud. It meant only one thing: Though the Tiger didn't strike first, it was by no means an act of cowardice. He was challenging the cannibal and made it clear that he wasn't bluffing. He could stand on his own two feet, despite the Sabretooth knocking him literally off his feet towards a table anyhow. It just willed Garrett into wanting to kill Tiao even more. The ex-Pillar rolled across the obstacle and landed on the other side. Garrett then saw the table as a barrier between him and his prey. He grabbed the table's side with his left hand, palm up, initially intending to move it out of the way, only to grip it harder when Tiao decided to push it towards him. Garret would've roared into laughter at the futile attempt... If Tiao didn't handspring his feet towards his face.
His face was probably everyone's favorite target, so he instinctively tried to duck and turn away to his right shoulder. Unfortunately for him, a large build makes a large target, if not a really hard hurdle to clear. At the very least, Tiao would hit Garrett hard in the left shoulder, causing him to take a step back with his left to receive the blow instead of being knocked over. With his left hand still gripping the table, however, he'd be pulling it towards him during the hit. Tiao was bound to come down from the aerial attack eventually and what better place to fall than on a table positioned beneath him? With Garrett's right arm within the same vicinity as his left after the follow up punch, he'd flip the table over with both arms to crush Tiao beneath, should he end up there. Smashing someone with your weight isn't as appealing as ripping people to shreds, but Garrett was willing to improvise.
[red]@ Christophe[/red]
Christophe made short work of the disoriented Witness-Killer no. 2 and after the man fell, staying on the floor and groaning, Frank was the first to applaud his hero's efforts. After clapping his hands, he pointed at Christophe, the same way he does for anyone he wants to work with... It was the best he could do with his personality. His quest for self-sufficiency was bound to have its share of complications, like bad habits dying hard.
[FRANK]: “You know, I like you, kid. Y'got spunk. I like that. You were all whooshy and stuff while getting in on the action too, even though I softened them up for ya.”
Frank is technically older than Christophe, but you wouldn't know by looking at them. With Frank being 5'4” and Christophe being 6'1”, you can see where this is going.
[FRANK]: “You have a name? I think we can be good friends. Partners in crime when the time is right, not boss and lackey. You have the showmanship and I have the wits. Quick wits. I could've taken those guys on if they didn't run me into this room. I mean, see these hands? These ain't lady hands, these are lethal weapons, see!”
Through Frank never used his fists to actually do much hitting, his jabs at least looked fast... If he had the build and discipline and didn't look so foolish by throwing in a random flailing karate chop, he might've been quite the martial artist... In a past life. In a parallel universe.
[FRANK]: “So waddya say? At least until all this is over. I called my friend some time ago. Either not here yet or preoccupied. Maybe the latter...”
He pulled out his cell and began texting. Though Valencia was the sort to show caution, Frank was the complete opposite, sending her the message without even thinking that she might be in trouble. Talk about confidence. He closed up his cell and put it away, ready to keep his newfound “buddy” interested in the mess he got himself into.
[FRANK]: “The latter alright. My friend who went to this school got killed. Right in front of me too. All I wanted to do was pay a visit and bam! He was fighting this big guy and died. The killer looks like he fights bears in the mountains all the time. Probably eats babies too. But you know what? I didn't wuss out. There were just too many of them, y'know? That's what, Layla is likely fighting them right now! A whoooollee bunch of them. There must be a bajillion of them. If not on this campus, I bet they're at Hircine too. Lots of news there lately. Maybe Cartford as well, but they're a private school...? I guess I'm lucky that I graduated from Kindlewood. Ain't that funny? Big guys taking advantage of the corporal punishment system to kill a bunch of kids... That plan won't last...”
Frank just didn't know what kind of mess he got himself into, no matter how calmly he made it seem... But Christophe might have a better idea of how life threatening this situation is compared to the con artist.
[red]@ Vince, Keith, & Christophe[/red]
To Valencia's surprise, Keith was... Quiet. No crazy stalker romantic-ness, no rage towards Vince, nothing. She observed him again and though he was still familiar to her as Keith, his presence did portray another persona. A really good act? Or what? Valencia flinched, startled by the cell vibrating in her pocket, temporarily mistaking it for the taser going off. She glanced at the text, expecting an update from Tiao, only to find a rather Frank message. She made a face, an obvious “WTF” reaction to the text, and without another word, charged off into Frank's general direction with Keith and Vince following after. The moment the trio was right outside the English classroom where Frank was sure to be, Valencia walked in right in the middle of his chatter spree, particularly during his comments about “Layla”. Paying little mind to Christophe for the time being, she snuck up behind the smaller fellow and tapped Frank on the shoulder. He turned around without so much as a scare and near-convincing smile lit up on his face.
[FRANK]: “Layla! There you are! I met a new friend. He's kinda like you! Doesn't talk much, gets stuff done, and looks good while doing it! Where were you? I was getting worried!--OSHI--”
As much as Frank tried to save face in front of his bigger audience, Valencia began shaking him violently without another word. She stopped in time to look at Christophe and nod in appreciation that her friend got saved... Before continuing to shake Frank. Usually she'd just reprimand him verbally, but he just had it coming for worrying her so much. She stopped again (and if anyone paid mind to Frank, they'd notice his apparent dizziness as he took the rage like he knew it was gonna happen). It wouldn't be a bad idea to get everyone better acquainted to one another. It'd lessen the awkwardness.
“I'm Valencia Donahue... Or 'Layla'. Thanks for saving Frank. With me are Vince and Keith.”
She shook Frank again for good measure.
“May I ask what you're doing here? I don't want to inconvenience you more than Frank already did. We're about to check up on another friend in a bit.”
Short and sweet. Just in time for the Momma's Boy on the floor to reach for his transceiver and turn it on. One of the last bad guys on the campus with a baton answered the call in time to hear Frank's shaking-induced singing.
[FRANK]: “We're no strangers to loooovvveee... You know the rules and so do Iiiiiii~~~”
As tempting as it was to listen to Frank sing the whole thing, Valencia threw him aside to zap the Momma's Boy with her taser. She couldn't bring herself to shock him at full blast, but it was enough to get him to stop. This was bad. The last guy took the Rick Roll as a sign that this mission was a failure. He got no responses from anyone, including Avci, and heard the random French, but this clinched it and he wasn't going to take any more chances. Sure that Avci is capable of taking on whatever's screwing up this mission, and is likely preoccupied, he made it a new objective to report back to someone else in the organ trafficking ring instead of killing witnesses. After all, he didn't just collect bodies for Avci. He called someone for reinforcements. He was first met with derision and disbelief. After some explanation of the vague situation, there was quiet... Then agreement that a few more reinforcements could be spared and stronger ones at that. The new primary objective is to identify before resorting to killing. These orders were coming from someone with as much authority as Avci, if not more.
“Okay guys, I don't know what just happened and if it'll make things more complicated, but I'm pretty sure something happened.”
The lights went out in their section of the school around this time. Thankfully, Valencia didn't need much light to see where everyone was, so she continued. The orange glow of the external lighting should be able to help everyone else out.
“I'm more than sure that reinforcements were called and if not, better safe than sorry—I'm staying on my guard. Still have no idea where the big guy is and that's a good reason for me. I called Tiao earlier and the last thing he said was he's in the cafeteria. Whoever knows where that is, please lead the way. I get lost easily here. Whoever wants to leave while they still can, take Frank with you. I'm... Open to other ideas though. Splitting up isn't something I recommend, but I don't want all of us to be dragged down by dead weight... In more ways than one.”
I shouldn't have shook Frank that much... I'm getting flashbacks of a zombie invasion survival quiz I took online...

Intending on knocking Garrett off his feet, or at least backwards, Tiao could tell a sturdy target when hit it. Tiao's forward momentum was enough to cause the larger man to take a step back, but not much more. Instead of his momentum carrying him to the other side of the table, Tiao's force would come to a halt. Turning the would be flip into a forward roll, Tiao would gracefully come to lay on his back on the table rather than crash onto it with a thud.
Rather than letting himself lay in front of the giant on a giant platter, Tiao would pull his knees back to his chest, tucking his chin into his chest at the same time. Just as Garrett would begin to flip the table over, Tiao's feet would be shooting out once more. Aiming both his heels for Garret's stomach, Tiao would slide himself back on the table yet again. As the table would flip, Tiao's feet would once again pass his head, forcing himself into yet another backwards roll that would cause him to land on his feet just before the edge of the table would be crashing onto his head.
Bringing his hands up just in time, Tiao would grip the edge of the table as his left foot would take a step back to help his balance, just before rising off again in a front snap kick to the bottom edge of the table. Not strong enough on his own merits to send the table flying, Tiao would pull down with his arms as the kick went forward, doubling the momentum Garret put into the table and causing it to flip like a coin, causing the bottom edge to strike Garret around the shins or knees.

Keith had to glance around the group that had been steadily growing since he had first ran into Valencia and Vince, who he vaguely recognized as a Genaht member. When two more had joined their ranks he had moved himself subtly behind and to the side of his object of many a late night stalking. During the whole scene he didn't bother doing much more than raise his brow under the heavy hood.
The only thing that caught his attention was the the lights clicking off and leaving only the orange glow of street lights filtering through the several windows that lined the hallway. His brown eyes flicked from one to the other, hoping to catch a glance of a shadow passing over the outside of the window. When he found no reason to think they were being directly stalked he turned to the group.
So apart from his regular self Keith didn't so much as blink when he found himself walking down the hall to bring himself and the others to the cafeteria. Each forward step brought no anxiety or exhilaration of meeting one of his most dangerous enemies, a rage filled male who had sworn to eating Keith's heart. He was blank and empty, something small tingled at the back of his mind but he couldn't shed the persona.
Keith turned to be sure the others were following them, but if they thought he was leaving he would snap his fingers and point down the hall with a lazy movement of his index finger. He knew exactly where the cafeteria was, he should. Adrenaline had a way of imprinting memories into your mind in such a way that you could call them up perfectly and he had an interesting interaction with Tiao his last lunch at Paragon.
And so he would lead them there.
