She was very happy he was going to let her go. Even if he wasn't the most popular person there it didn't matter. She loved him and he knew that she would support him through everything. Even after they had first met, she remembered when he had taken her down to their old basement and showed her the things about him. The riot, the blood covered sword, all the guns and everthing. She remembered it all, and yet it had not scared her then. She knew that things had happened to him then, and that he hated his parents. He never spoke of them, they had never visited either, and Teneile was curious if she could get him to visit while they were in town. But she wouldn't bring that up yet, tonight they were reuniting after two weeks and she didn't want to mar it. He tol her that the steaks would be done in five minutes and she smiled hugging him tightly kissing his neck again softly.
"I'm always hungry for your grilling." she said with a smile.
And sure enough five minutes later they pulled the potatoes and steaks off the grill heading back in the house the dogs trailing them. While Rocky could take the stairs easily little Bella had to hop up each one. But soon the family was upstairs and at the table. Rocky and Bella had steak in their bowls and were munching happily. Teneile found a nice red wine for them and opened it up pouring them both a glass before sitting beside Kazuma at the table and doctoring up her potatoe with all the thigs she had gotten out of the fridge. She bit into it, cutting up her steak. She didn't eat a lot, but she never had, still she would eat enough to continue taking care of herself.
"so we should also do some sight seeing in New York." she said softly. "I've always wanted to see it, and we should do some shopping too, make a trip out of it all since we have to be there, and you should have at least one good memory of the city."

When they got inside he was happy as they sat down close to one another. They had never actually sat across from each other during a meal save for 5 minutes during their first date. It was nice though always sitting so close to one another an embrace always easy to have if they wished. He took a sip of the wine she had poured while she began to doctor her potato and then began to cut up his own steak. He was glad to see her eating, she had given him such a scare before and the whole time she had been away he was always wondering if she was eating enough.
She then brought up New York again and guts slightly frowned at the idea but then smiled again realizing that the large metropolis would actually have some appeal to some one that had never really been there. It was not that he hated the city itself, he just knew that place had brought out the worst at him when he lived there and of course was afraid to have those things happen again. He guessed this could be a fun trip for the both of them and he did want to do a few things there as well, it would be great to have a real slice of pizza again or a pastrami sandwich from the 2nd ave deli, after all it was the small things he missed.
“Well its not like I don’t have a few good memories…small things I guess Like the rock band I have in middle school and my first year of high school” he smiled chuckling thinking of his knuckle headed band mates “Hot summer nights in central park…ice skating in the winter…my friend Mika” A small grin came on his face as he said that name, it was something that could not be helped really. But then he looked at his loving wife a bit his lower lip “But that friend ship is ancient history I guess…haven’t talked to her since I had to move up to Varron” Kazuma said trying to save himself no sure if it would work.
After he cut up everything on his plate his now free arm came around Teneiles small toned waist. “And since its your first time there..I say we do anything you want, and I mean anything” he said with a smile “And I will be your trusty tour guide making sure we don’t head down any wrong streets” he leaned to his side and kissed her cheek lightly just having the urge to do so. “Is there anything you had in mind that you would like to see or do?”

Mika. That was a girl's name. Teneile froze and looked up at him watching the grin spread across her face. Such a rash of pure hatred for the girl rushed over Teneile she immediatly felt bad, but she couldn't help it. No one ever made Kazuma smile or grin like that except her, and now suddenly there was this Mika person that was coming in and ruining it all. Teneile watching as his eyes shifted over to her and he bit his lower lip. Her brow rose and her heart froze as he seemed to realize that his reaction was going to set something off. She gently put her fork and utensils down not quite hungry anymore as she leaned back in her seat as he tried to placate her. Telling her that the friendship was over. If a friendship was what it was to begin with, you never could know, she didn't know about any of Kazuma's last girlfriends, before her, so Mika could have been a friend with benefits. Something Teneile did not like.
"Mika? Is that the girl in the picture from our old house, the one downstairs? That you showed me with all your other things?" she asked remembering the blonde that had been hanging all over him in the picture. When she moved in that picture had disappeared and where it had gone she had no idea, but now she was curious.
He tried to make her feel better again by saying that she could go and do anything she wanted when they were there. That it would be a nice trip for them. But she was still stuck on the Mika thing. She had to know if there was a chance she was going to have to defend this relationship while they were in New York. It wasn't that she wouldn't do it, she would jump down any bitches throat that even thought about Kazuma in that way. Especially since he was hers, as his ring showed. But, she needed to know if this person was a threat.
"What about, Mika" she asked curiously. "Will you see her if we go?"

And so once again he had dug himself a nice little grave for himself mentioning the name of another female to his wife. It was cute though in a way, from her tone and the way she looked at him he could tell she did not like Mika already but it was different then the normal unfriendly glare she gave to the girls at the competitions, she clearly was a bit angered this time around. “”No I never kept her picture up…downstairs when you first came in…that was were I kept all those bad reminders” he paused slightly “No that girl well she was responsible for this” Kazuma pointed to his right eye the one that was slightly discolored and had a faint scar running over it the eye that was clearly blind. “Or atleast he jealous ex was” Kazuma added.
He let out a sigh as she asked about Mika once more. She wanted to know if he would go and see her and it was clear by the way her eyes looked she was not going to be happy with a side tracked answer. “I don’t know” he said shrugging his shoulders “I mean I really didn’t have any intentions on searching the city for anyone, but certain people have a tendency to find me when I’m in town” he said speaking softly to her thinking about it all himself. “It’s a good possibility I might run into her and the rest of the old gang…but its not like anything will come of that”
He looked over at Teneile “Weird though…I think this if the first time you’ve asked me about my life in new york…I don’t think its come up much besides when I took you into my basement that one time before I turned it into your dance room” he chuckled

"So explain to me then, what this Mika was to you." Teneile continued. She knew that he might get bad but he never really mentioned other girls that he had known in the past around her, and while she wasn't normally jealous the thought that he had smiled when mentioning her name was not a good sign. That meant Kazuma had a soft spot for her.
He told her then that this was the first time she had ever asked about New York to him and she grinned. They both knew why he was just trying to derail her from her current train of thought, which for Teneile was not easy. For Kazuma all she had to do was kiss him for a few minutes and everythin else was forgotten, Teneile was not so easily swayed.
"I don't ask, because you never seem to like talking about your past. I don't really know anything about you or New York. I don't know why you say no one likes you, or why you don't want me to go, or what this gang was, or why the girl's ex killed your eye sight, or why anything happened. I try not to think about it, because then I'll ask questions and you don't like talking about your past. I know that you don't. You dodged the question about your eye so many times I still don't know what happened to make it go blind. You won't talk about New York with me, so it isn't a lack of curiosity, it's the fact that you like keeping your past to yourself for some reason." she said still a bit fumed from the mention of Mika and the fact that he was trying to blame her for not asking about New York.
"when you're ready to spill the beans, then I'll listen, but I'm not going to beg you to talk about something you don't even like to mention. So if you want to tell me, then I"m listening. But if not, if like normal you don't want to tell me, and keep that a secret longer, then fine. But I do want to know what Mika was to you and what she is now." she said softly.

Kazuma’s jaw nearly dropped and hit the table as his wife went off at him. She was normally a very sweet girl who barely raised her voice but when she was pissed about something there was no hiding it. But he guessed with how she spoke she had every right to be angry at him. He didn’t realize how much she had just taken on faith when she had gotten into this relationship of theirs. They never talked about his violent past or what he had actually did to end up in prison when he was younger, they never talked about his life, his friends, or even his family and to kazuma that was great after all some memories he liked to ignore but he could see for Teneile that while she never really pursued these questions they had indeed eaten at her day and night. And what really seemed to be making it all worse at the moment was the name Mika.
“Your right” Kazuma said in a normal tone “I never wanted to talk about this stuff…because I was afraid you just wouldn’t be able to look at me” Kazuma said it was clear he was not in the best of moods at the very thought of these past encounters in his life. He took the last bit of wine in his glass and drank it down as quickly as he could before letting out a sigh “If you really want to know about Mika then I guess you should hear the rest of the story to…after all it all ties in together”
Kazuma leaned back in his seat and looked up at the ceiling above him for a moment. “It all started a few years ago when I was going to highschool in New York… in my first high school I was the big man on campus so to speak, not a captain or a pillar but my size and strength made me a name to be known” He looked over at her “Apparently my reputation at the time go me into the good graces with a senior girl named Jessica…the girl in the picture I showed you.” Kazuma was playing with his fork he was clearly nervous
“Well you know me…I was young and stupid an wacked out on testosterone supplements for my weight training, so me and her had a fling that lasted about a month until word about us got to what was suppose to be her ex boyfriend…Well jealous and angry he took a bat to the side of my face and killed my right eye along with it…but I managed to get up some how…and…and” Kazuma took a deep breath “And I killed him” Kazuma finally admitted to her his eyes closing as he did unable to look at her as he admitted it to her.
“And that’s how I ended up in Rikers for alittle over 9 months while my case was settled” he finally looked over at her just needing to see the look on her face before he continued “When I got out I transferred to a new school in Manhattan were I met Mika who unknowing to me headed one of three of the major gangs in that school…Well we became friends, close friends to be honest with you and for a while everything was fine again” Kazuma let out a sigh
“I some how became part of the gang always hanging out with them when I wasn’t training…and I know what you want to know” Kazuma said as he grinned at her “Truth is Me and Mika did go out a few times…and we got physical once after a close call with a few thugs…but we never really loved each other…and after that one time we were together we drifted apart for a while…it was weird for the both of us I guess”
“Then late that winter the riot happened in school thanks to me…a school of 2000 students in utter chaos for several hours…” he looked away from her. “I became like that time you saw me with Bruce…and I hurt a lot of people…to many people to be honest” He let out a sigh again “When it was all over Mika and the gang got me this tattoo” he said lifting up the back of his hair. It was simple bold black letters reading M.D.K with the number 124 underneath it.
“The Letters stand for mass destruction Kazuma…and one hundred twenty four stands for the confirmed knock outs I had during the riot...and while this was all great for the gang the school actually kicked me out…saying I was to much of a high risk case to keep…the only person that defended me was Mika, she was the only person that tried to keep me there and no one else…its one of the reasons why I smile when I say her name…She was the first person that never gave up on me even when we weren’t together”
His eyes looked right into Teneiles “She was and always will be a dear friend to me…and now you know why I’ve never talked about New York, who was I suppose to expect you to love me if you knew what I was capable of before I met you”

FINALLY! Teneile thought as he finally began his story, she could tell that he wasn't happy about finally spilling the beans but she had a right to know. They were married now and it wasn't like she didn't know that he had done things, but when you keep things from someone like that, then you are likely to have them thinking things are much worse until you tell them otherwise. She listened as he began to tell her about a girl named Jessica that he had dated. Teneile wasn't really upset about him having a fling of sorts with someone, because she had previous boyfriends herself. He continued to explain that Jessica's jealous ex-boyfriend came out of no where and slugged him in the head with a bat. The only moment that her eyes really widened was when he told her that he had killed the boy when he had gotten up. So, he had been in prison for murder. It was hard to imagine the sweet man that was so loving to her and the puppies the one that wanted a child as badly as she did could be so cruel.
He went on to explain about his life after prision, and how the riot had started and the gang he had been in. Teneile pursed her lips softly at the word gang, she was not keen on gangs, he was in one now, though she never saw him do anything she knew the ring he wore and what it meant. But at least they were supposed to be protecting people and not the other way around. So she stayed quiet while he continued telling her what the tattoo had meant and who got it for him andd that he was kicked out of school even if this girl had tried to keep him in. And that was the end of the story that must have been when he went to Varron and they hadn't met til they had both transfered here to Hircine. For a moment she was quiet, and she knew he might take the silence badly but she needed to sort out all her thoughts before she spoke because the last thing she needed right now was to say the wrong thing.
"Kazuma." she said softly looking up at him and leaning forward to take his hand and place it softly on her cheek. "I love you. You know that, and your past can't chance that now. maybe a long time ago, when we first met and I was still under my father's control. But even then I think I would have fought it because of the way you treat me. You've never lifted your hand at me, or even gotten so mad you've hurt the dogs or even took your anger out on the furniture. You're nothing like that, atleast, not anymore." she said softly as her hand rose to his face and stroked the scar on his right eye gently.
"Honey, your past is part of you. My past isn't pretty, you know most of it, but you don't know all of it, just because there are so many small petty stories to tell that seem so insignificant but had such a large impact on my life." she said softly as she stroked her hand down his cheek and leaned in giving him a soft and gentle kiss on his lips. "I don't think differently of you Kazuma. Because while I have seen this side of you, I remember very well that day in the forest with Bruce, and how you lost yourself. But I also learned that I have the power to bring you back to that sweet man that sits across from me right now. The one that holds me all the time, the one that lets me cry on his shoulder, the one that buys me things to surprise me. The one that comes to every single one of my dances, even if he doesn't like ballet." she chuckled softly.
"Kazzy." she whispered her little nickname for him and moved shifting herself into his lap gently. She kissed him again much deeper but filled with love and caring. Breaking it she looked up into his eyes. "I love you so much, and when we go to New York, we can see her, if you want, but.. I'd like to ask that.. that I could go too. It's not that I don't trust you, it's really her.. that I don't trust, and .. I don't know .. I want her to know that you're taken care of now. Not like you were before, but better. And Kazzy, my love for you is undying and unconditional. It's not going to die now, it never will. Who else would take such good care of me? Hmmm?" she said with a stroke of his cheek.
"Thank you, for sharing it with me, Kazuma." she said placing her forehead on his softly and closing her eyes feeling his arms wrap around her small body.

Her silence was defining, every thud of his heart could be heard ringing through out his ears as he looked at her while she seemed to be thinking. It was a lot to take in he guessed, Kazuma had done some bad things in his life but he had never told her about the murder he commited or why the tattoo on the back of his neck made him notorious in the city. It was a side of him he had just not wanted her to see and now it was all laid out for her and all he could do was wait for her to through her rings at him in disgust. He would not blame her, though he had not said anything to her he had basically lied to her all this time through his silence.
It was then that he heard his name, it was in a soft tone but that could mean anything she then leaned forward and took his hand and he was just waiting to feel her wedding ring laid out in his palm. But then she brought it to her face and said the three words that kept his world together on a daily bases. She went on to describe him and the way he was when he was around her telling him he had never reflected the kind of person he once was while he was with her.
She tried to make him feel better putting herself in his lap and kissing him deep and with the love they shared for each other but still Kazuma could not help but feel crummy. After all he had really no right to hide this from her in the first place. But then she got his mind slightly off his own guilt as she mentioned their trip. She mentioned seeing Mika and her wanting to tag along and he could not help but feel that it was a bit of a trust issue even if she said it wasn’t. But then she told him that she did not trust the girl and he finally chuckled a bit, she had never met his old friend and she already knew not to trust her.
“You know…I was hopping to not dig up such bad thought the first day I got you back” he chuckled “But if I do have to see her…your more then welcome to come along to as much as I hate the idea of my wife talking to my old gangs leader…its just not something a guys can really prepare for” Kazuma said with a chuckle
“And if this is all behind us for the moment I think its time for the dessert I whipped up especially for you…figuring you might have a sweet tooth after such a long stay at that dancing school” he smiled just wanting to put this all behind him for the moment.
