"Hahahaha what a rush!" Joey gasped as he ran through suburbia, jumping fences and cutting corners as often as possible. Through the darkness, he could be seen with a small black purse slung around his shoulder. He had stolen it from a girl that had been unlucky enough to be taking a stroll with her athletic looking boyfriend in the middle of the night.
The boyfriend, of course, was Joey's main goal. As he ran from behind the girl and snatched the purse, the girl's boyfriend came charging after him just as planned. Joey needed a good chase, it had been too long and being a nice boy all the time wasn't as exciting as he originally found it to be.
With his speed and athleticism it didn't take long for Joey to lose his pursuer, despite all the unneeded detours and the moderate speed of the boy. This left him feeling disappointed as he ran back to the girl, returned the purse, apologized, and left the scene at joggers pace. As he turned a corner, he saw the girl with her cell phone in her hand. He could only hope that it was the police she was calling instead of her boyfriend, who to Joey's knowledge was still running around looking for him.
'At least I've stayed in shape...' he thought to himself rather disheartened, putting his hands in his pockets and kicking a nearby can in a boyish manner. 'I need something to do!'

Jazz had been on a strole that night, wandering with no real direction. He did this often and like the solitude. Jazz as a erson had become more and more reclusive of late staying in his appartment or just staying in the office all day. He hadnt seen much of his friends or even anyone. The only time he spoke to or seen anyone was at the coffee place that he went to after work. She was a fine looking girl whom had taken Jazz's eye on the his first day in the city. This aside though he didnt have the time to be involved with anyone.
He had left his appartment at around about 9.30pm that evening and was intent on having a brist strole, this turned into a rather long one indeed. A few hours into his walk he heard a distant scream of a girl that sounded as if she was in distress. Back in the old days of him being the good goody he would have gone right to her aid but had learned that this only caused trouble and decided that since he had given up his art that he would not get involved in the situation.
He stopped at a tree and leaned against it, lighting a smoke and dragging on it with force, he let out a large mouth full of blue/black smoke. It tasted good, it had been a few hours since he last had a smoke and was indeed craving one.
Just as he was about half way through his smoke a figure walked past him, who seemed to be rather pleased with himself. To Jazz this seemed very odd indeed due what he had heard a few moments ago. As the figure, that he could now tell was a aguy, walked past him he could not help but ask, even though he didnt know if it was him or not.
''......Have anything to do with that girl sreaming a few moments ago....scuse my asking but you look a tad to happy for someone out this late?''
He said in an inqusiative tone.

Joey looked over at Jazz with a confident smirk. "What? Are you against happiness past dinner time?" he asked in a sarcastic, yet pleasant manner. He couldn't say that he wasn't in the mood for a chat, so he stopped and awaited an answer from the stranger.
As the person he was talking to came into focus through the darkness, Joey noticed that this one wasn't as much of a stranger as he thought. Though he couldn't recall the boy's name, he was sure that he recognized this person from Varron.
Not only was this person from Varron, but it didn't take long for Joey to recognize this him as one of Taiku's flunkies. He only hoped that the person didn't remember him as well. Meetings between former (I'm guessing) Legion and former Hand members aren't exactly a formula for success and Joey understood that.
After a second or so Joey also realized something that could make this whole mess end even worse. If this person knew Joey as a former Hand member than his question would no longer be IF he was the cause of the scream, but WHAT he did to make her scream. As far as Joey understood, he was the only one who knew of his transition from evil and he doubted that someone trained to hate the Hand and its members would believe a story consisting of "I really don't commit crimes that much anymore, I just stole her purse for a work out."
All his eggs seemed to either rely on Jazz not realizing that he was a Hand member, or Joey being able to defend himself upon being assaulted. Not good odds either way, as Joey had been slacking alot on his training now that he found less of a need for it and all Legion members were given all the information needed to know the Hand of Fate's inner workings through and through.
'How do I get into these messes?' he thought to himself, a barely noticeable wince appearing on his face.
