With a newspaper in hand and my backpack where it's supposed to be, I got off the bus stop just in front of my new high school. It was my second day here, and I was excited by the prospect of meeting new individuals. Yesterday's events didn't disappoint, so the bar was raised quite high for today. As I walked toward the gates leading to the school's courtyard, I opened up my paper and flipped to the horoscopes page. I was curious to see what the fates had in store for me, and wondered what my odds were at proving them wrong. Let's see, today's horoscope is... 'You have a natural talent for finding trouble'. Is that so? Well, that would be a surprise. I know well not to bump into strangers after hearing Pine's advice.
Which I'm not following at the moment since I'm reading this newspaper, and that is why I have bumped, once again, into a stranger. Quickly making my newspaper disappear, I searched for a good excuse to explain my clumsiness to the young man before me, and finally figured that admitting I was wrong was my best way out.
"Listen, I'm sorry for bumping into you, man. I'm just trying to get to class."
