OOC: Thread is for Kazuki to join only.
~”Kazuki Shinato… must pay for all the pain and suffering he has caused…”~
It was a cloudy Sunday afternoon as Kokaku strolled through the quiet streets of San Francisco. A chilly wind that could be felt in his spines wavered through the air as his long coat followed the path the wind was blowing. He made a short turn at the end of the street and left the suburbs only to walk straight for the forest just outside the city. It had been a long walk but Kokaku didn’t feel like taking his car and felt that the chilly winds were refreshing to say the least. Upon entering the forest, he lit a cigarette, ignoring the ‘no smoking in the woods’ sign. He strolled along the forest path until he finally reached the T section he had told Kazuki about. If you ignored the left and right path and went straight forward, eventually you’d reach a small open spot, a small pool at the side before the trees started to surround the area again.
‘Heh… it looks just like the place where we fought in Varron… though that fight had an untimely stop… too soon, without a point truly being made. It’s not possible to make a point towards Kazuki in any other way than through the means of a fist, so this has to be done…’
Kokaku sat down on a rock near the pool and waited patiently for the person who was once a friend of his. He had met with him at Leon’s goodbye meeting and not spoken a word to the older man then. He wasn’t acting for the best of others any more, it felt more that his own ego was more important than anything else. Fighting with a failed kidney and after the surgery compete in a tournament? Kokaku had been so angry about the whole thing… even though Kazuki had won the tournament and Kokaku had been kicked out due to some stupid rule, he knew he could take Kazuki down… with the help of Shoaku, it would only take mere seconds to put Kazuki inches away from death. Perhaps than the older man would learn how important life and those in it truly were.
Though the clouds covered up the sun, Kokaku was wearing sunglasses. He liked being able to look at every and anyone without people realizing he was staring at them. And now, though his face was turned to the right, his eyes were focused on the path he had just walked, waiting for his older friend, teacher, fight partner, employer, brother… and now foe…

This...was inevitable.
It had been festering for months now, this bitterness in Kokaku, and invariably, Kazuki had always known it would come down to something like this. Informed of the 'meeting' that the younger male wanted, he had taken no time to consider against the notion and had set off without reservation. Something inside Kokaku was changing, he'd seen it before, and he knew that not showing up would only exacerbate the situation further.
Thus, he found himself pacing slowly through these woods, silent and contemplative, as he approached the chosen area with a mild feeling of disdain around him. He didn't want to have to do whatever was going to need done, but the only other person who could, Maverik, was virtually a ghost now. If indeed it fell upon him to rectify this, then so be it.
'Damnit, Ko, why does it have to come to this again?'
It didn't take him terribly long to find where he needed to be, indicated by the person standing there, and he stepped out from the small path into the clearing with his hands set into his pockets. Looking over at Kokaku, the cigarette in hand, he sighed internally before stepping a little more into the clearing, maintaining a fair distance from the other man for the time being before he spoke out, quietly though the words would be easily heard given the lack of background noise.
"Don't do this, Kokaku."

Kokaku’s face was still pointed to an uninteresting point to Kazuki’s left when he slowly stood up from the rock. He dropped his long coat behind him on the rock followed by him cracking both his knuckles. He finally turned his head fully towards Kazuki before he took a step forward.
“Don’t do what, Kazuki? You’ve brought this upon yourself… upon us… it’s time to solve this the hard way…”
‘Shoaku… stay out of this for now… I want to see how much the old man can take. He hasn’t seen my fight during the tournament but I have improved greatly… and apparently I’ve become too lethal for simple tournament matches…’
Kokaku spit on the ground to his right before he pushed off suddenly, without any warning, sprinting forwards towards Kazuki. His sunglasses were still on, he had bought a new pair that were tight enough to remain in position even during a fight. He didn’t know what Kazuki had expected and how long he would try to avoid fighting Kokaku, but if memory served him right, Kokaku guessed Kazuki would join in on the fight as soon as Kokaku got in range.
It was a short distance and Kokaku was in front of Kazuki within two seconds. He immediately pulled his right fist back and struck it directly at the older man’s face. The face that had been broken for more than a dozen time. Kokaku knew it could take a punch but he just wanted to make Kazuki aware of the seriousness of the situation. Apart from that, he had already given his first punch a taste of his recent development of strength and speed… something that would most likely surprise Kazuki…

As the other male rose to his feet, Kazuki kept his eyes complacent as he inspected him. There was no doubt now that there would have to be a fight, and the most miniscule change in his demeanour occurred as that realisation crept onto him. If it were possible, he would have avoided this, but such a luxury wasn't to be permissible, apparently. Speaking back at Ko after his remark, the elder of the two Asians voice rose up good deal more, approaching a near-yell at him.
"What have I brought onto myself? Really, what is it I've done that you resent so much? Was it that I refused to roll over and stay weak, that I forced myself to remain the best I can, what!?"
Narrowing his eyes faintly as Kokaku dashed toward him, his body shifted only slightly. It was all he would need at the moment...The punch was fairly easy to read due to the younger males strength dominant in his legs, and though there was a considerable improvement in it, opening moves were almost always counterable to someone with his level of defence. This would be no exception.
'Fine. If this is how you want it to be, then so be it.'
His left foot shifting out about six inches or so, his right would slip back in a quarter turn as his left palm met with the outside of the forearm as it approached. Pushing the blow to his right, his body moving to his left, Kazuki would effectively sidestep and turn himself into Kokakus right side, immediately reversing the twist with a violently quick torque as he drove his right hand in to the lower section of the younger fighters ribs. Defending against it would require Kokaku to reach across his body with his free hand to do so, and with the closeness the punch came from, he would have a nightmare of a time trying to outpace the lightning-fast Kazukis blow.
Whether successful or not, he would take another step back away from him and speak, his voice still calm.
"Tell me why you're doing this."
Intent on showing no concession, primarily with the view that the quicker he ended this the less he would have to harm the other male, his guard slowly raised up. He would fight seriously from the very beginning, there was nothing to gain from his usual 'feel-out' of his opponents.

As soon as Kokaku’s right arm had stretched out he noticed the pushing movement Kazuki’s left hand was making. Understanding the meaning behind Kazuki’s small turn and hand gesture, Kokaku allowed Kazuki to push his right arm to his side. Using this momentum, he turned his body swiftly, locking his left hand to his chest, forming a point with his left elbow. With a fast spin he slammed his left shoulder towards Kazuki’s upper chest area, perhaps even his throat. Kokaku expected Kazuki would probably try and land a strike of his own, but if he did so now, it was inevitable that he himself would be struck by Kokaku’s elbow as well. Kazuki would either have to take a step back to avoid Kokaku’s continues attack at all, or face to consequences of using his right fist as a weapon by taking the hit.
Whatever the case, both fighters would outstretch their bodies and though Kazuki’s strike would land first, Kokaku’s elbow would ensure Kazuki’s fist couldn’t land as harsh as Kazuki would’ve planned. It would merely push Kokaku away, giving it would land on Kokaku’s lower back now. However it went, Kokaku would distance himself from Kazuki for a few seconds, his sunglasses still on his face but his mouth expressing the anger he felt inside.
“Don’t even begin to talk as if you not wanted us to think you were weak… you know we wouldn’t care… and we know you’re not weak. But there could’ve been other means to show your strength… what you’ve been doing is playing the ones that love you most… only so you could once more prove your strength, prove your superiority… While in fact you have no clue about true strength!”
He yelled the last few words at Kazuki, his hands clenching to fists as he did so. He swiftly bent his knees and moved his arms up, waiting for Kazuki to go at him this time.
“You know this is inevitable… you won’t be walking out of here without a scratch… I’ll hurt you… I’ll take you down… perhaps than you will finally feel the pain… the pain you’ve been causing us all!”
OOC: Forgive for writing strangely about the blow I throw at you and predict how it continues, would’ve kept it short for you to reply immediately to it if we were only fighting, but since I had to respond to what Kazuki said, I wrote it like this so I would have a secure way to step out and talk back… hopefully there’ll be no need for such strange things anymore now.

ooc: Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. As he parried the blow, firing out the punch, his hand would have remained at height with the limb and as such, reversing his left arm to put his forearm into the back of Kokakus swinging elbow would be a simple task. Inevitably, in any case, the pair were pushed apart again and another exchange took place. This time, Kazukis brief anger faded as he listened to him. Shaking his head, he stared hard at the mirrored lenses over his eyes. "You don't have a clue, do you? 'What the hell happened to you, Kokaku? You were always the least aggressive of us, and you're standing here like this...If I fight you, no matter what's going on in your head, it'll cause nothing but more problems. You're acting like a child throwing a tantrum...'A clear disgust hung on his face as he dropped his guard, letting his hands sit by his sides as his defence was left wide open. "Fine. If that's what you're hell-bent on doing, then do it. I'm not going to fight you, Ko. So just consider what it is you're actually doing, and who else you'll be hurting. Do you think you could go through with this knowing that everyone else will almost certainly turn away from you for your little hissy-fit?" There was an audible snort of incredulous amusement from the elder of the pair as he maintained the scowl and turned around, putting his back to Kokaku. "Your brother would be fucking disgusted by you right now." He took a few steps away before stopping, keeping his hands hooked into his pockets and making no show of lifting them at all. He was serious, he would not fight this childish-acting person, one he was almost torn as to call a friend right now. "What are you waiting for?"

“Not a clue, huh? Shut the hell up! You think you’re so great! That you know everything and that everything you do is right! While in fact, all you do is hurt people! And when the face you for it, you try to stomp them into the ground even further?”
Kokaku’s anger had risen to its peak as Kazuki spoke once more, talking about the shame Kokaku was bringing onto himself. Kokaku could feel the other presence in his body boiling with anger as well as he listened to how Kokaku was being mentally assaulted by Kazuki. He gritted his teeth as he mentioned Maverik, Kokaku’s brother… the brother who had left and abandoned Kokaku and with that, all hope…
“You think I care about that, Kazuki? Cause you know, I came here knowing this would be it… Even if I died right here, right now… I couldn’t care less. You’ve hurt us all… and if my way of dealing with it isn’t to the standard of my so called friends… fuck em. And don’t even begin talking about my brother… I should’ve gone with him… he knew from the beginning how you truly were… it’s the only reason he kept on fighting you… to try and smack some sense into you…”
Kokaku sneered the words at Kazuki, who to Kokaku’s surprise indeed showed no more will to fight. It got too much… Kokaku couldn’t resist Shoaku any longer. He longed for a fight and though he had already messed with Kokaku’s mind and thoughts by even starting all of this, he would now ensure that this battle would be fought. Kazuki was not going to let his ass be kicked by someone he deemed so low… not by Kokaku. With a forceful grab Shoaku removed his sunglasses, finally revealing the dark red eyes that were the once so kind blue ones. Finally revealing that though Kokaku had felt angry at Kazuki, that not he alone had made the decision to have Kazuki answer for what he had done.
*~If you don’t fight me Kazuki…~* the Japanese warrior said, *~You’ll die…~*
The battle would truly commence and it would start with a clear message to Kazuki. He had purposely left his defenses wide open, showing his so called good will… but Shoaku didn’t care. He was fast and strong enough to land a quick jab in Kazuki’s face before the man could even think about defending himself. Shoaku’s powers had grown along with Kokaku and though Kokaku might not have been strong enough to take on Kazuki, Shoaku would most certainly even those odds. The fast dash forward, the small amount of time he needed to pull his right arm back and slam it forwards towards Kazuki’s nose were extreme. Whatever Kazuki was thinking and planning, he would now at least be notified that the battle would take his full power. For the power that Kokaku might’ve lacked in the arms department were certainly made up for by Shoaku’s power…

"Then you truly are a lost cause. Do what you will. I'm not about to stop you."
Kokaku--No, 'Shoakus' first blow landed cleanly, slamming into him without defence or reservation as it knocked him back. Focusing his effort on remaining on his feet, the elder of the pair would raise his head from the hanging position it had held before to glare at the boy he would have once called his 'brother' through angry eyes. Angry, yet, not like those possessed by Kokaku. Kazuki had a killer inside him, he'd always known it and lived for repentance for those actions in the past, but if there was one thing he could attribute to his own 'beast', if the term was fitting, it was a resilience that could only exceed the utterly unmatchable endurance of Kazuki in a normal situation.
No changes occurred, no such things were needed, but a growl elicited from his lips softly as he looked dead-on to Kokaku with a grin hanging on his lips.
"Neither your brother nor Dead-Eye could kill me, do you really believe you have what it takes to do what they couldn't, being all the more powerful than you!?"
Despite the pain coarsing through his face --there was no denying that Kokakus punch had hurt him--, he only held the gaze further. Rising back to a fully standing position, he kept his hands low.
"Do it again, since you don't care anymore. You know equally as well as your brother that if I'm killed, it's only the end of my repentance."
'But I refuse to let you kill me. I won't leave them.'
"Your brother and I fought because we respected one another, even when I was forced to fight Dead-Eye, I always sought your brothers heart in him. That, I'm afraid, seems lost in you just now."
'Kira, no matter what, I'll be with you tonight. I haven't had enough time to show you how much I love you.'
"And because of that, Shoaku, not only can't you beat me, but you're -weaker- than Kokaku!"
By now, he would surely have been struck again, and swaying from the blow, he would grunt and struggle to bring himself back to his feet, using his palms against his thighs to support himself, chuckling under his breath.
"Come on, surely you can do better than that....."
His body tightened impulsively, intent on protecting him from the worst of Kokakus blows as the other boy attacked, and yet with every one his arms didn't raise but to keep himself from hitting the ground fully.
'You've not seen what I've seen, Kokaku, there's still fear you've yet to learn, whereas I've seen things more horrible than you can comprehend. Hit me all you want, I'll not fight you, but I won't die here!'
A flash of his eyes flickering in his head might hang as the only sign that Kazuki was reverting to pure instinctual fighting, relying on his bodys immense endurance and somewhat bestial nature to retaliate against whatever the other boy decided to do.....

Shoaku allowed Kazuki to speak after his punch, or more to say, the little bit of restraint that Kokaku could force upon Shoaku did so. He needed to know Kazuki’s thoughts on this… he had always listened to the man, yet his hatred had won this round. However, after Kazuki had taken the blow to the face, Shoaku had been so excited that he had let his grasp over Kokaku slip. Still Shoaku, he stood there and listened to what Kazuki was saying. As Kazuki spoke of how Kokaku’s brother and its counterpart Dead Eye were stronger than Kokaku, Shoaku’s anger started to boil once more. Kazuki was simply making Shoaku stronger, allowing him to take control once more. Why? As soon as Kazuki provoked Shoaku to take another strike, Shoaku moved forward to close the small gap that had been created between the two, this time to slam his fist forcefully into Kazuki’s stomach, followed by a quick straight kick to the chest, forcing Kazuki to once more stumble backwards.
’This is pointless! He’s not even fighting back! There’s nothing to gain here!’
*~Shut up boy!~*
Kazuki continued to speak, showing no sign of fighting back. Talking about how he had always respected Maverik and how he, now, didn’t feel the slightest respect towards Kokaku. Kokaku, inside, felt himself beaten once more, the last of his mind giving fully in to Shoaku. Yet, suddenly Kazuki spoke his mind of the power Shoaku possessed, how it was in fact less than Kokaku’s power. It was obviously not true, Shoaku’s physical strength was way bigger than Kokaku’s, yet Kazuki was somehow either provoking Shoaku to strike again, or urging Kokaku to regain control of his body. Whatever the case, it was obvious that with his powers almost at max, Shoaku would not hold back against Kazuki… and Kokaku was not able to regain control the way things were now. It was as if a movie played in front of him and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t pause, stop or rewind it. He just had to sit it out…
Shoaku moved in on Kazuki once more and suddenly jumped up, made a circular move going left, in mid air and slammed his left food towards the left side of Kazuki’s face, intending on finally forcefully slamming his opponent towards the ground. Such a blow would certainly leave a mark and in Shoaku’s mind, Kazuki had no other choice but to finally fight back. As soon as Kazuki regained his footing, it was there. Shoaku had noticed it… A sign from Kazuki that perhaps soon, the gloves would finally come off… There was nothing else to it. With its low and grunting voice, Shoaku shouted at Kazuki once more.
*~Shinato! Fight or die! It’s as simple as that! You know just as well as I do that I could kill Kokaku for good if I wanted to! I’ll kill you both, one after another! Choose!~*
It was now more than ever obvious, Shoaku had taken full control and he wasn’t going to let either Kazuki or Kokaku go. He had control now and he was going to keep it. Kazuki was the only one left now who could stop him… With Maverik gone a long time ago, he had been slowly raising his power. This was it… Would Kokaku be lost forever, destroyed from within by Shoaku? Or would Kazuki find a way out for both of them…

ooc: Sorry I kept you waiting and that it isn't much, but hey, posted. ^^
ic:
Against the leaping kick, he would still refuse to fight back, and the blow would smash into his cheek hard enough to crack the bone.
Despite that, he did not fall. He would waiver, he would stagger back a pace or two to hold his balance, but he would not fall. Grimacing for a moment in pain at the after-effects of the kick, he raised a hand to his cheek, exhaling slowly as he stood back to his full height, his hands still down. He would not give in so easily, but he would not fight a worthless fight against Kokaku when he still had hope to snap him out of this bullshit mindset he'd put himself in.
"You could, but you won't. You're not strong enough. I will not fight, and I will not die. I will ask you to stop this, before it goes too far, Kokaku. You said you wanted me to feel the pain I've caused you all, then so be it, but don't throw away everything for this selfish ideology of payback. You can end this now, you just need to snap out of this."
Wincing slightly as his cheek throbbed painfully, he paused though kept his eyes locked onto the younger male. His voice was low and calm, with nothing in it. No fear, no anger, nothing but a smooth tone that spoke almost matter-of-factly. Lowering his head a moment later, he stood with his thumbs hooked into his pockets.
"Go ahead. I'm waiting."

“ Uhu… uhu… UHahaha!”
Shoaku suddenly bursted out in laughter as Kazuki tried to reason with him, or actually tried to reason with Kokaku. But it now clearer than ever… the cheerful graduate was no longer present here. Shoaku was being the puppeteer now and Kazuki’s words were only infuriating him, nothing else. Not enough for Shoaku to slip up, but enough for the man to actually want to kill Kazuki. It wasn’t about Kokaku getting his payback any longer, that had only been the first domino that fell… now, as the entire series of dominos was falling down it became clear. Shoaku simply wanted to exterminate one of the few who could stand in his way. One of the few who could stop him from doing whatever it was that Shoaku wanted to do. His eyes moved from Kazuki’s feet that had moved several steps backwards to his face. He knew the man would soon have no choice but to finally give in. This was getting boring.
*~You might want to talk to Kokaku… but Shinato, I’m afraid he isn’t home… and he’s not coming back either…~*
Shoaku dashed forwards once more, his right arm stretching towards Kazuki, the palm of his hand opened. Shortly after his hand gripped Kazuki’s throat and his fingertips immediately started to move deeper and deeper into his opponent’s flesh, crushing the man’s throat. Kazuki would soon be without oxygen… or would Shoaku’s power break the man’s neck before the lack of oxygen could kick in?
With his maniacal eyes fixated upon Kazuki, he kept his strangle going forcefully. Kazuki would soon have to choose. Finally fight, or die by the hands of Shoaku. Shoaku knew Kazuki would never let himself be killed… and right he was. But this time, there was no way to survive without fighting. Shoaku would only let go as soon as Kazuki would start fighting. There was no way out… no way out…

ooc: I know it's pretty short, but I really didn't know what I wanted to do here. Sorry.
ic:
Unflinching, he held eye contact with Kokaku even as he approached and gripped a hand around his throat. The slow decline of air began to make itself noticed, though he refused to show any weakness from it.
Visibly, anyway.
'I'm sorry...'
Driving his left hand up, the fist balled, he would strike the underside of Kokakus forearm harshly. With only a single arm gripping him, even Kokaku in this...state wouldn't have enough strength to maintain his hold as the fingers scraped from his neck, leaving painful welts on the skin but reviving his air supply again. Narrowing his eyes toward the other male sharply, he took a few deeper breaths to bring his breathing back to normal as his hands came back down, a slow and slight twist of his head to loosen the muscles in his neck after the grip Kokaku had held.
Were killing intent something that could be felt, something palpable in the air, it would be rife with it at the moment. Kazuki knew that all too well, and he knew what he would be forced to do, even if only briefly.
"You really are beyond redemption, aren't you? Fine, Shoaku, you'll get your wish."
His hands raised, unwillingly perhaps, but if for now this would be the ploy he had to use, then so be it.
"I'll beat some sense into you."

The strike came as no surprise and yet, Shoaku didn’t flinch. He allowed the blow to hit his arm, rather than release his grip over Kazuki. The strike did no damage whatsoever due to the small distance it had to generate force, but it was strong enough for Shoaku to let go. Gritting his teeth in amusement, he was forced to let go of Kazuki. He slowly took a few steps back as his hollow darkened red eyes now stared at Kazuki. Enjoyed about the fact that Kazuki had finally decided to fight back, he responded to the older male with amusement in his voice. “Redemption? Hah! You’re one to talk, silly man. But I’m glad you decided to be the nice little genie after all. Please, beat some sense into me…” Shoaku moved his arms to face height, his hands both being opened and pointed in different directions. He had been making the first moves in this one man fight the entire time, it was time Kazuki showed how serious he was, or Shoaku’s next move would be a simply twist of his opponent’s neck… OOC: Very short, I know, but it's time you strike

ooc: It seems small posts are the flavour of the day. Sorry about the laziness, but I did promise I'd try to get something up today for you. ^^;
ic:
"Just shut your mouth. I don't want to hear another word."
He burst off with that remark, closing the minor gap between the pair in an instant before moving into Kokakus guard. Intent on getting close enough that striking for the other male would be awkward to execute, he would have the 'advantage' in having prepared for his own strike mid lunge, drawing back his right hand whilst holding a focus on his target.
Once within range, the right would slam forward, aiming to drill through any guard from Kokaku at the range he was at, and above all to put the other fighter onto the defensive. It was no gentle punch, and with both his punching strength and his body weight into it, even if it was defended against it would almost surely knock back his foe.
'The quicker I put you down, the better. I don't want to drag this out and risk anything too big...'
