(ooc: This is in Blues Apartment Since Vic is still residing in the restruants basement.)
“You know your really screwing up my sexuality doing that.”
“O shut up its just shampoo.”
“Yeeeahh, flowery girly shampoo. I go walking the streets and people will think I flipped sides.”
Victoria laughed as she scrubbed the flowery scented shampoo through Taks hair adding more just to hear him grumble. He sure was a whiner. Digging her fingers into his scaup she made sure each spot was covered and washed. She wanted to work with a clean slate after all. Especially after all the gel he likes to use in his hair.
“You know its not like you can’t do this on your own. So quit complaining and just put your head under the water. Your worse than a three year old.”
“Come on Vic, you know you like it.”
Victoria punched him in the arm before rinsing out his hair leaving a wet fist print on his sleeve. Waiting for all the bubbles to clear from his hair she got a towel and threw it on his chest.
“So what color are you planning now? Going with the old favorite blue. Or should we switch it up and go green or purple, or how about both?”
Victoria laughed as Tak seemed to make a face at the mention of purple as he rubbed the towel through his wet hair. He wasn’t one for purple. Never liked the pastel color it took after a month or so.
“I think I’ll just go with a dark burgundy or maybe something more towards my natural hair color.“
Victoria just looked at him blankly.
“Are you sure. I never saw you without the strange color. It will be kinda odd if you just go with your natural color?”
Tak finished with the towel before throwing it at Victoria, who in turn caught it with ease.
“Yea, I think its about time I start looking a little more my age. Maybe I should even it up.”
Victoria looked at him questionably. He was always one to be so touchy on his long patch of hair in the front. Evening out would make him actually look normal, if not older. Tak then laughed at Victoria’s expression and Victoria returned the favor with another slap in the arm.
“I thought you were serious.”
“Nah, Come on, I wouldn’t change that drastically. It took me years to get my hair this way. Ain’t going to spoil it now.”
Victoria picked up the scissors that were on the counter and then did a few snips in the air as a threat if he didn’t quit with his shenanigans. Tak seemed to straiten up a bit with a raised eyebrow questioning if she was serious or not about her threat.
“Don’t make me change that for you. Im sure Blue will be willing to hold you down for me. Let me just call him in here.”
“Ahh come on Vic I was just kidding. Come on just a trim in the back and then the dye. I promise to behave, that is if you do.”
Victoria knew he would be up to something in a matter of seconds after she said that she would. He was always playful like that with her. Always said one thing and did another but in the end, he would always make her laugh.
“Okay, fine. I promise to behave but just remember you act even a small tad up, I control the water temperature to rinse the dye from your head.”
Tak put his hands up in front of him as if to surrender.
“Okay, okay you win. Victorious again.”
Vic agreed with him as she made him move the kitchen chair away from the sink so she could get to the back of his head without having anything in her way. She instructed him to take off his shirt and not to make any smart ass comments about it. Tak did what he was told, restraining himself from opening his mouth. Putting his head down Victoria got to work.
It wasn’t the first time she had trimmed his hair. She did it so many times she could probably open her own barber shop. She never had to do woman’s haircuts but she knew 7 guys that needed trimmed every couple months or so when she lived back in New York. They never really had the money back then so they had to make due. Course before her, Elizabeth would do the work back home. Victoria learned all she knew from her. Elizabeth was a jack of all trades. She knew how to get by when it came to household things.
Elizabeth would tell Victoria about her family. She grew up with both parents but even though they tried to meet ends. They too ended up on the streets. It was her reasoning to start the gang with Nicholas. To show runaways how to get by. To help them when they are in need. To have a place over their heads even if it was only for a night. Elizabeth was a caring person. Victoria missed not being able to see her.
Having Elizabeth in her thoughts. Victoria stopped cutting and put her hands on Tak’s shoulders.
“So Tak.....Do you think we can take a trip back to New York on a weekend or something? I mean, I know I have to be back on Monday but only for a night or so. So I can see everyone, to see Nicholas and Elizabeth?”
Tak put his hand on hers and gave it a small squeeze before pulling it down having her wrap her arms around his neck. Victoria leaned on his back and put her chin on the base of his neck.
“Anything you want Victoria. You know I would do it for you.”
“Thank you.”
