It was a long and dull day and if it weren't for clocks, no one would've known that time moved over the span of several hours. The campus seemed quiet for the most part, excluding the typical sounds you'd expect from a high school like Hircine... However, the silence was soon going to be penetrated by the sound of a breaking window and lots of screaming. Lots and lots of screaming. If anyone would look in the direction of the hullabaloo, they'll find a window to the 2nd floor music room with a student hanging by his bloody fingertips over the edge. If anyone would keep staring at the scene, they'll find a certain stunt woman possessing a strange affinity with breaking windows stomping on the boy's fingers. While hollering at the top of her lungs. Not only that, but periodically beating the boy's head with her extendable rod. If anyone bothered to listen to the yelling instead of being perplexed by the scene, they'd hear the following:
“FUCKIN' INGRATE THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING THAT YOU COULD JUST WALTZ IN THERE AND GRAB WHATEVER YOU WANTED WHILE I WAS ON DUTY I MIGHT AS WELL KILL YOU RIGHT HERE AND NO ONE WILL BAT AN EYELASH YOU HEAR ME 'CAUSE I'M PART OF THE FACULTY YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THAT I AM A FAN OF CORPORAL PUNISHMENT AND WILL GO ALONG WITH IT EVEN IF I LACK THE CREDENTIALS YOU SONNUVA GUN--”
...It goes on, but this should suffice. The boy, being the hardy young man he is, wasn't going to let go any time soon. Whatever he had was enough for him to bear with whatever hell Valencia was giving him. The Asian on the inside then got into the window frame and kept stomping on the boy's fingers, daring him to let go as she was ready as ever to keep attacking him if he fell. To the folks who knew Valencia as someone who worked for the school, they left her be. To the folks who thought she was still a student, they assumed that everything will be finished shortly and either stuck around to gawk or kept going.

Ah another crappy day of school finished, how I love my life Jin thought to himself.
He was walking through the car park on his way home when he heard someone screaming, nothing unusual but Jin was curious and decided to see what it was.
Jin then found himself staring at the 2nd floor of the school building watching a student hanging from a broken window ledge along with some women stomping on his fingers.
He decided to ask hat was going on though he'd probably regret it.
"Well uh... this is new, I mean I know theres corporal punishment and all but do you not think you may be taking a bit far there?"
"What'd he do ask for a pen without saying please?"
Jin knew this wasn't going to end well but hell it was long day and he didn't really care what others thought at the minute.

Hark! There is a voice from below that isn't the whimpering pleas of a victim! Valencia paused enough to look beyond her damage and to the source of the sound to find Jin Takanawa, a student she doesn't know and could care less about knowing. If anything, he'll be dubbed as Pokey-Head henceforth. The Asian cringed at the misunderstanding and stomped even harder on the student's foot. This caused him low go with one hand and hang from the other as Valencia ranted without paying him any mind. Temper...
“Okay, let me set things straight. Ever heard of 'identity theft'? Ever had your passport stolen? Credit cards snatched? Social security numbers poof'd? Permanent and criminal records go missing? And all other vital forms of personal information go 'bye bye'? THAT'S WHAT HE DID, GENIUS, AND IF THIS GUY NEEDS TO LEARN SOMETHING IT'S THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE LIMITED TO ONE IDENTITY PER PERSON--”
Oh the contradictions.
“--AND I'LL BE DOING THE WORLD A FAVOR WIPING THIS 'PERSON' OFF THE FACE OF THE PLANET!!”
So with little interrupting Valencia from her actions, the Asian stomped on the other student's fingers to have him let go. With a scream, he fell into the bushes below and Valencia jumped after him, letting the boy and the shrubbery break her fall as she resumes her rage once she lands.

Jin was happy he at least got a reply out of the person but he doubted most of it.
"Yeah and I'm sure like everyone of your type are just bursting with proof, and either way do ya really think killing him's necessary, I mean come on tell me you at least realize that."
Jin had a feeling this was going to get ugly eventually be he hoped to god that student didn't let go.

((OOC: ^^; He already fell down, dude... But it's all good.))
The twitching body in the bushes kept getting pummeled by Valencia and it was a miracle that he was still somehow alive and breathing. This stunt woman was rarely the sort to keep on the offensive like so, but anything can happen if you anger someone enough. It also made her wonder how long she really ought to keep beating up the guy and the possibility of her actually killing him... And what'll happen next. A strange and not so pleasant thought crossed Valencia's mind right there as Jin tried to further provoke her. Of all things that inspired the thought, it was the actions of Stern Mason in a far off memory that prompted the Asian to do what she did next.
“Say... Ever heard of Schrodinger's Cat? In a nutshell, a cat is placed in a box with a bottle of poison that will open at any time to kill the kitty. Who's to say that the cat is alive or dead unless someone checks the box? Applying that in a different situation... Who's to say that this man has everything I said he does unless we check the corpse? Further more, if we don't check and I keep beating him up...”
Valencia got out of the bushes and dragged the boy onto the nearby concrete to keep stomping on his body.
“...What're you gonna do about it?”

(ooc: Sorry my mistake:))
Jin couldn't believe that she had actually watched the guy fall and now she was still pummeling him.
He hated the stubborn ones.
Jin sighed,
"All I'm saying is think logically, after what looks to be several fractured and or broken bones i don't think this guy will be doing anything anytime soon."
"Furthermore if you don't let him go which you probably won't things may start to get more ugly than they already are." Her reactions were starting to humor Jin so he decided to see what else he could get out of her.
"And I don't think either of us wants that my dear no matter how insane or...violent you are, do you not think the same."

Sticks and stones, dude. Sticks and stones.
Valencia has been described in all kinds of ways in the course of her lifetime and what Jin said didn't perturb her. It was nothing compared to other things she's been called before and as long as she knew better and kept her cool, she was in control. Talk about role reversal... At first this was just a way for Valencia to big time misplace her rage. Now, this somehow became something “useful” and being the resourceful person she is, she was going to make good use of Jin's presence. Valencia dragged the boy up to the wall of the building and started choking the weakened student by pressing her extendable rod against his neck. She didn't even bother to look at Jin and this was painfully obvious by how she exposed her back to him.
Things'll get uglier, huh?

Jin thought,
Ah shit, well I didn't see that one coming but I suppose I walked into it.
If Jin was going to pull this off he was have to be fast, nothing new for Jin but he would also have to be careful how he plays this one wrong move and she'll see it.
Without warning and with her back turned looking at the student Jin took a quick step forward, went low and sweep ed at the girls legs spinning round at the end of the sweep into a short right fighting stance with his right hand and leg in front, his left leg at a 45 degree angle and his left hand near his stomach level.

"I do hope you have a proper explanation Miss. Donahue"
The strong voice broke through the air as Jin's arm was yanked back with surprise, stopping the student from attacking Valencia within just inches. Letting the student Jin go with ease she now had the attention of all three, Valencia, Jin and the other student. Victoria stood erect as disappointment was seen only in her eyes. She had heard the disruption and watched as Miss Valencia did what she thought was proper punishment. Victoria on the other hand felt it was a little over kill. She had to stop her before Valencia got too carried away.
"I do expect an answer and I expect it now. And I do expect a reasoning from you young man on why you would strike one of my employees when her back is to you."
Her eyes went back and forth between the two, waiting for an explanation. In the silence she could hear the one trapped by Valencia whimpering in pain and fear.

((OOC: No worries~ I have a feeling that mine will be short too anyhow.))
Valencia smirked and was ready to strike back when she heard Jin's approach. Musc to her dismay, the move was canceled and she cringed when she heard the voice of the latest arrival. It was Victoria Alexander, the co-principal of the school... And this stunt woman totally didn't expect the long claw of the law to find her this quickly, despite her past first experience with Principal MacMillan. She removed her extendable rod from the student's neck and let the boy slide down to regain some of his strength. From there, she shortened it and put it away before facing her boss and giving her explanation... Though warily glancing at Jin as the explanation was a smidge confidential.
“As you can tell by looking at my... Eyes, people have doubted my competence as someone who works in the library. 'Blind person in a library', 'what can she do if I do something', y'know... And I manage all kinds of records there, both in print and electronic. Obviously, I'm not blind and this person here made off with a lot of my personal records a short while ago. Namely, copies of my student and medical records that weren't removed yet. Of my admission, I lost my cool because of the information on those records...”
While I'm a really good student in the classroom, that doesn't exempt me from my out-of-classroom activities... Ranging from my association to a past gang to involvement with the madness that went on last year...
Valencia cleared her throat in attempt to further compose herself, as what she already said was enough sign of how disconcerted she is.
“--I don't have a steady paycheck that can pay my bills and keep me fed, so it bothered me to see those records come up now. I am willing to accept responsibility for my actions but if you search his body, you'll clearly hind my records shoved crudely into his pants.”
Well this hangs my plans out to dry. So much for laying low...
And if they checked, they would indeed find her records in the boy's pants, but that wouldn't help Valencia's case except for establishing that fact.

Damn!
Jin thought to himself, he didn't expect anyone to butt in especially a member of staff. But he didn't care, killing students shouldn't be anyones job and they should know that.
"Excuse me have you any idea what that hell she was doing to that poor guy, she could have killed him. Corporal punishment was stupid but this is just ridiculous!"
It didn't matter what he said, it that principals eyes she was probably doing a good job but Jin knew there was no point getting into fights now as it would just cause him more problems in later days with other staff.

Victoria’s eyes narrowed on the student. She didn’t like the tone of his voice and the way he had just blankly retorted his reasoning. In his mind he thought it was doing the right thing but in the end he made the mistake of underestimating the situation. She may have just saved him some embarrassment as well as injuries.
“Do no address me with that sarcasm. If I had not come you would be as well off as this student you were trying to protect. I give you points on how you think but I do not agree with your method of making things right. She is your elder and she will pay for her crimes by her elders and not by a student. You will do right to come to me next time if something should ever arise again, but I will not reward those for stupid bravery.”
Victoria then turned her eyes towards Valencia, the look of disappointment in her eyes. She then walked towards the cowering student holding her hand out waiting for the whimpering student to hand over the documentation he had took upon himself to lay his life for. With the wiggle of her fingers the papers where handed over in fear the student would take another rash beating.
Victoria barely glanced at them before thrusting them over to Valencia. She knew Valencia’s past. She knew all the employees backgrounds. After all, it was her job.
“You will do well to know there is a new rule in this school. I do not and will not see any one act in such a manner on school grounds. You may do what you wish off these grounds but you will watch your temper within them or you will be two feet out the door. I do not appreciate when others take things out of hand. There is a time for discipline and that will be judged from others and not someone of your status. Next time I hope you would drag the student to my office instead of beating him senseless. That way it will keep your hands clean. I do appreciate clean hands.”
Taking her eyes to the student on the ground. He would clearly need help to the nurses station. Looking at Jin she pointed at the helpless student.
“Please take him to the nurses station he will be your responsibility. Then after his wounds have been addressed please send him to my office. You will stay with him until I return.”
She waited for Jin to take the student away before she would again give Valencia a tongue lashing away from the ears any students. Victoria waited patiently.

As someone who's trying to save some face, Valencia had to feel a smidge hurt by other words as opposed to the anger directed her way. Though Valencia only recently graduated from high school, it wasn't as though she was that much younger than her boss, was she? That aside, she received the papers shoved her way and skimmed them over to check if any of it was missing. It appeared as though all of the sheets were in order and she folded them up before putting them away with her rod. It was already worse for wear so there's little point in caring about the condition then. From there, Alexander continued to reprimand Valencia for her actions. Although Valencia's temper was curbed the moment her boss came along, she couldn't help but feel a hint of anger sneaking back in with each setence the principal tossed her way.
As much as I admire your priority in education above violence, it pains me to say that none of that works nowadays. Believe me, I wish it did.
Despite Valencia's mounting rage and more choice words clouding her judgment, she chose to keep her thoughts to herself and let Alexander chew her out for what she's worth. She didn't pay much mind to Jin and the student. Since she's going to get a proverbial beating of her own, it only made sense that didn't give anyone the pleasure of attention.
I wonder what else she has to say... I have a feeling that I'll skipping another week of filling breakfasts and dinners again, that's for sure.

Ooc: sorry Jin didn’t mean to kick you out, your more than welcome to come back after Victoria has left. -.-‘
“Now Miss. Donahue. Please understand that we can not continue on with how things have been going. You may think I might be wasting my time believe me when I say I’ve heard it all before.
Please know that what I am doing and what I am striving for is for the betterment of the school. Students and Teachers will come and go. But it is my job to make sure this school stays. Your views on disciplinary actions must be changed. You must take hold of being more in control of your temper and dispel any ill will that you have pent up inside.”
Victorias eyes softened for only a moment. She knew she was merely wasting her breath. Valencia was more likely to continue on her path without heeding her words. Victoria was new to the school. Hircine students just looked at her and believed she was nothing but hot air. Varron students on the other hand knew her better. Victoria was a caring person and she didn’t want to just send Valencia on her way without having some regret on her behavior. After all what she did was wrong and Victoria wanted her to understand that.
“Now. If I were to continue on with your type of behavior, I would have struck you down in front of the student as well as any passer byers. I would feel no remorse and therefore let you be my so-called punching bag. You would not only try to defend yourself but in the end feel embarrassed and helpless just like the student you, yourself had just injured. My actions would cause you to become angered and attack others under yourself. That is not what I want to see happen. That behavior provokes more violence.”
She sighed as she crossed her arms under her bosom.
“Please know that you will be getting off light today but do not expect such treatment if I should catch you again. I should not have to worry about sending students to the hospital because adults that should be acting like responsible adults are sending them there for as little as a few pieces of papers in which they could have gotten with less bruises involved. Learn restraint.”
She took in a breath and then came to a decision on how to discipline Valencia.
“You will repay for the repairs and for the new window which you so carelessly broke from your actions. If you can not pay for these repairs then you will work them off by staying with the night crew and cleaning the school with the janitorial staff for one week. Believe me when I say this is the lesser of the punishment. After you have worked off your dept towards the school you will be on duty in detention for a month. You will assisting the teachers there and will be under supervision at all times and any incident will come strait to me. If something should arise while your under supervision I have the right to have you suspended without pay for a period of time of my own choosing.”
Victoria paused only to look Valencia in the eyes. She knew the younger women would be angry at her. But she could not help that. Valencia would just have to realize that she has more responsibility not only to herself but to others around her. Someone who causes pain to others only brings punishment to themselves. She needs to know that her staff can show the students the right way to act and not this violent manner their accustomed to.
“Do you have anything to say?”

While Valencia valued the capacity to accept differing opinions and thoughts, it was exceedingly difficult for the Asian to take Alexander seriously when it felt like she herself wasn't being taken seriously either. That's the thing about impressions really: She always gave off the wrong one. By the sounds of it, she was yet again perceived as a short-fused firecracker and as Alexander went on, a stupid weak one at that. My, ain't that a nice way to scathe the ego... Valencia almost slipped a scoff and a roll of her eyes at how another person was mislead based off of a single incident, but controlled herself in the presence of her superior. When it came to her punishment, at least it wasn't blackmail like what MacMillan did to her the year prior.
“I'll pay for the window.”
...Called it. It's cheaper to skip a few meals and pay for a window than to let people stare at me all day. Besides, it ain't the first window I broke...
Then, Alexander looked Valencia right in the eyes. Instead of causing her to look away like in most occasions, it provoked her even more and the demeaning aura that was being given off just added more tension. The co-principal finally asked for the librarian's aide's opinion and the Vietnamese woman did what she could to get her point across now that she has a little bit of attention.
“Tell me... What are you trying to run here? Please don't get me wrong; I respect the kind of environment you're trying to encourage, but how are you going to deal with the kinds of people who are worse off than myself? As you can see, I am willing restrain myself within good reason and even take responsibility... But how about the more 'extreme' students? The ones who don't get shut down by the Pillars or lack thereof because no one does anything? The ones who cause heck because people keep overlooking them?”
And don't tell me that you're just gonna talk to them 'cause talk is cheap. Gawd, Ruth's been rubbing off on me lately...
This was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what was on Valencia's mind... Believe me, she had a LOT on her mind lately.

Victoria could sense Valencia’s tense edge which in turn made her stiff keeping her arms crossed. The young woman seemed to challenge Victoria with her demeanor. She could understand why Valencia would not trust her but she never gave her any reason not to. After all if Victoria wanted to she could have easily threw her out of the school, but instead Victoria thought herself generous giving her a chance to prove herself. Things were going to change wither any student or employees liked it. A little bit of tough love so to speak with a firm hand.
“Lets just say I have more discrete ways of dealing with those that do not accept change. I never said there would not be discipline. Please do not perceive me as someone who can not take care of a situation if it calls for it. I have given you a chance to prove your restraint, I shall let others.”
Victoria paused. Her stern face not withering or letting up even a tiny bit as she kept her eyes on Valencia’s face.
“I plan to establish order and I plan to make sure something is done about the problems that we have at this school. If you plan to prove your worth then I advise you to heed my word and live up the expectation and responsibility that will be placed on this school. Education should be the number one concern not who can tumble who.
As I said before If I see or get wind anything that would be rendered unjustifiable from any of the staff, they will be dealt with swiftly and replaced quickly if needed. That includes yourself.”
She paused uncrossing her arms.
“O and before I do forget. I will need a written report of this incident that will be going into your file, being a witness I will surely check over your work and make sure all accurate accounts are present. I will also be asking for a weekly sign in sheet as well as the tapes from security that will prove that you have been doing your duty in detention. So please don’t think you can waltz through the hallways without me knowing.”
Victoria put her hands behind her back, looking at Valencia giving her the ‘do you understand’ look awaiting for any other statement before getting ready to return to her office to deal with the injured student.

((OOC: Pardon the wait...))
So much for mutual understanding.
Valencia found little point to continue her questioning once her superior responded. When she said people, she meant students as well as other members of the faculty. What will happen when another riot breaks out? What will happen when the power of gangs rise beyond the point of restraint, both of their own and the long claw of the law? How many people, who do care about education, will have to suffer the same or more of what happened last year? Talking hardly yields results. Beating people senseless only leads to another day to pull off the same stunt... If not worse. In a way, all this reminded her of the supposed only way to deal with her abusive ex-boyfriend: Kill him or destroy him as though with the intent to kill. She wanted results, not unfulfilled expectations. That was what tough love turned her into. Valencia didn't know what kind of background Alexander had, but she was under the impression that she was working under the losing flag. If only she knew where Alexander came from, huh?
The stuntwoman's eyes had that blind quality about them as she stared back and through Alexander's. The co-principal proclaimed the next set of security and disciplinary measures placed upon the library assistant. She wasn't thrilled about yet another note that'll be tacked onto her records. At least she'll keep her detention duties.
Cameras have been trained on me throughout all my years at this school. What's a few more? I crossed a few wires sure, but it could've been worse...
Valencia sighed reluctantly and gave a curt nod to signify her comprehension. The Asian then waited for Alexander to take her leave before making her way back to the library. As it would appear, the next few days will be unsettling ones.
