The pair of double doors stood before him, hauntingly. Steve stood there, nervous for his first day. Had he been preparing for just another ordinary first day as he had experienced many times before, he wouldn't even give a shiver. Today was different, however. Today he was a performer, selling a show.
The black pants, dark red shirt with rolled sleeves and pair of pitch black shades folded in his pocket gave a sense of importance. Steve needed to dress this way, even though it added to the load on his nerves. He let out a deep sigh and lifted his head, placing the sunglasses on his face. Showtime.
In a cinematic fashion, both doors swung wide open, and there he stood, tall as ever. He began his swagger down the hall towards his first period class. He must have rehearsed the route at least a dozen times to make sure everything went smoothly. Then it came, just as he planned. First encounter.
"Get a load of this guy! Hey 'V,' what're you supposed to be?" Some Hircinian screamed out from the crowd. The V must've stood for Varron. Steve stopped, turned over his shoulder to the kid in the hallway, and addressed him loud and clear. "The name's Alkaiser, former Freshman Captain of Varron High. Make it known."
That message was what prompted so much preparation. This was how Steve would make his presence known, with what he would call a very large "exaggeration." Granted it was truly no more than a glorified fib, but who would care? Any Varronite who wanted to contest a dead title would know where to find him, and any Hircinian who wanted to start trouble would know who to ask for. It seemed like his act had gone over just as planned. Steve whipped off his shades and stared the kid straight in the eye for effect, and as expected, the kid shrunk back and said nothing more. Alkaiser then turned forward again and continued to walk tall, straight down the hallway to his first period class.
The door slams, and the period begins. Now the goal was surviving the rest of the day.

~ A captain did he say? How interesting and fortunate~ Malikai thought to himself as he made his way toward his first period class. His first period of the day was music, vocal music to be exact something he was truly good at. Spending so much time alone Malikai spent time while at home singing along to music. As it turned out he became a rather gifted tenor which had earned him the nickname choir boy from some of the locals here. His voice was strong, resonate, consistent and unique due to his accents. In any case the women loved it as much as they loved his emerald eyes which were mere contacts. It didn't matter to them, the color seemed to have sex appeal much like his voice.
The idea of a captain for each class sounded rather stupid, as a matter of fact how would they pick such a captain? There were many factors here that did not add up in what he just said. For starters a captain must earn his title through vast application and proof of merit. Not to mention a strong following to back them. A sophomore captain, a junior and especially a senior captain could be considered feasible based on the fact that they would have had ample time to prove themselves but a freshmen captain sounded unrealistic.
"And how is it you become a captain of the rest of the freshmen?" Malikai asked quizzically to the boy who was maybe five feet from him. "You see I can understand how a sophomore, junior, or senior captain would work but one for freshmen?" Malikai began to wonder if he was just lying to sound tough or perhaps Varron had a different way of organizing the students and classifying them. Either way he was determined to find out.

Perhaps that just gives you all the more reason to watch out for me.
Steve spoke in a very cryptic tone. He did not want his position revealed so soon, or he at least wanted to attract some more attention with it first. After his first comment he had a moment to reflect, in which he came up with a clever line to liven his investment in the rumor chain. By now he is quite close to the lad, acting intimidating and progressing his now improvised act.
Or perhaps that just gives you all the more reason to watch out for Varron. Either way, I suggest you let the players at this school deal with it and just stay out of our way.
Steve pushes up his shades, turns his head forward down the hall and elects to start walking again, not giving the student a chance to reply. Hopefully this time he would make it to class, then he could start plotting for what lies before him.

Malikai chuckled at the boy and both his responses simply because the boy was not worth a full on laugh. It seemed everyone here was trying to be tough and failing miserably including Malikai himself. The only difference here is that this boy was doing it without any reason or precedent. He was not being threatened in anyway so there was no need to try and play at something that could get him hurt. If Malikai wanted to hurt him he would have just attacked and not said a damn thing.
He moved toward the boy a big fat smirk plastered on his face, his emerald eyes laughing. The boy had just played off his question without answering like a true captain would. A true captain would answer out of pride at attaining his status. It was becoming very evident that this boy could very well be lying. Now it was time to find out what was going on.
"Well Mr. former freshmen captain if thats what you really are...I fear no student who walks these halls even the proclaimed pillars themselves, former Varron gang banger, or the god damn school captain. I have been through many different European school systems, Asian school systems and even one South American system. I have stood against several self proclaimed authorities themselves no matter the cost to myself." By now Malikai was face to face with the boy who was just about the same height. The smirk still on his face still there the laughing eyes fixed on the boys.
"So whoever you are, if I stand against everyone else who thinks they are tough why should I back down to you?"

Taj stood in between the crowd of people, trying to be incognito, although it's kind of hard when your 6 feet tall. As he heard this Alkaiser give his introduction, he was far from impressed. In fact, the fact that this guy would lie so easily made Taj annoyed. Taj made his moved. As he moved through the crowd of his fellow Hircinians kids, made way. They knew of him and they knew not to get on his bad side. As he walked through the crowd he got the usual girl giggle, now a days he's become accustomed to being noticed, unfortunately for him he hasn't found a girl quite his taste yet, but that's beside the point.
"Yo, stop lying to us. Your full of shit. Anybody who's anybody knows how chaotic Varron was. The fact that there were captains in the school would mean that the school had some type of order and respect for authority, and if that's what the case then you wouldn't be here." Taj said with a smirk, not even looking at guy.
The crowd became silent, Taj was well respected in the school, when he talked people listened and paid attention.
"If your trying to be tough your doing a bad job at it. This is just bringing attention to yourself, making people stronger than you want to beat you up. Your from Varron and that basically means that your hated. So do us all a favor and shut up and know your place, otherwise you can kick rocks." Taj said this in a low and stern tone. Yet the crowd was so dead silent it sounded like a booming yell.

Steve took off his glasses as was customary at such a staredown. He looked dead into the other man's eyes, who surprisingly was becoming less threatening to his agenda. The boy talked more about his past, and didn't actually make a note to expose Steve's lie. Steve began to open his mouth for his next reply, when some loudmouth from the crowd popped out and began to blow Steve's cover wide open. He also forgot to acknowledge the other student, who was obviously a little upset over being ignored.
They looked back to each other with raised eyebrows. Steve offered a sideways nod as to say "May I?" to which the man before him replied with a slight nod. Alkaiser broke off from the staredown to face the loudmouth head on.
You must have me confused with the captains that give a damn, pal. But what the hell, it's a dead title anyways. Let's let the past lie, and concentrate on the future. Namely the one that you don't get to be a part of anymore.
The kids cleared back about 20 feet in both directions of the hall. Nothing had happened yet, but a fight was imminent. Lockers slammed and whispers turned into a roar of second-guessing the fight. Steve picked a name out of the crowd. Taj. Actually it was quite a popular word. It seemed he really did have a reputation. Pretty soon he'd be known as the first casualty. Steve opens his arms up wide, begging the big man to swing at him.
So what do you say, Gambler? If I ain't bluffin', you think you're up to taking on a captain? You ready to throw away your precious Hircine peace on that wager!?
The intensity in Steve's voice grew to a yell. This was the part where they all became equal again. No Hircinians, no Varronites, just two fighters. This was the part where Taj shut his big mouth.

Taj was not one to start a fight, or even participate in fights, his reputation battled for him, he had become accustomed to people wussing out. Taj was in a dilemma now. He knows if he fights with the Varronite on school grounds Darren would have his head, and he wouldn't want that, especially considering his lust for become a pillar. Strategically, the best move would be to move the fight off school grounds, and make it after school hours, that way he wouldn't be breaking any rules and would simply be beating someone's ass.
Taj look at alkaiser dead in the eye, clearly disinterested with his lack of wit and senseless boasting.
"Look "Captain" I'll fight you just not now, it would be stupid for me to degrade hircine high kicking your ass, instead I'll put my own name on the line, take me on afterschool off grounds, that way I won't get it trouble, I'll be waiting for you after school.Meet me at the Golden Gate Bridge. Do me a favor and show up, and show me the skills of the "Freshman Captain" of Varron academy." Taj turned around and parted the crowd of students like Moses parted the Red Sea, and began to walk, listening to the senseless hype of the students, Varron adn Hircine alike. While he was walking away he said one more comment.
"If you lose it'd be best you transfer schools because the you'll just be referred as the school bitch....filth." and with that Taj was gone as fast as he came.

"Be my god damn guest." Malikai said in all surprise looking toward the loud mouthed imbecile that not only interrupted the conversation that was going on but did not even acknowledge Malikai. Feeling very hurt and at a loss of 10 points of IQ (That he would personally take out of Taj's hide himself) took a small step back from the captain turning fully toward Taj.
The crowd began to part as there was now going to be a fight just not the one intended. For the first time it seemed a Varronite and a Hiricinian agreed not only that an ass kicking needed to be handed out and who was about to get it. Malikai however did not want to be completely left out of this and his face broke into a grin. He was not about to get totally left out of this fight. He was willing to wager the peace in the school over this just not the way he envisioned it. It would come down to Hiricinian blood being spilled not only on account of a Varronite but another Hiricinian.
Circling left to arch around the side of the crowd to get a better angle on Taj Malikai decided he would speak his mind. "Because of you my IQ just dropped 10 points because of your stupid comments. You could clearly see what was going on here but chose to ignore the entire situation to get your useless two cents in. Not only did you do that you totally disregarded the fact I was here, I may not be a somebody here but that does not mean my feelings were not hurt by this." Malikai laughed slightly at the boy and the impending pain he was about to receive.
He glanced over at the Varronite who he was now ready to help out in any way he could. "My name is Malikai Mr. Captain, whats yours? And I know it's not Captain so don't bother trying that one on me."
As the boy tried to get the fight off school grounds Malikai moved in behind him blocking his path. "Coward you stand and fight here or I send you to the hospital either way your not getting out of this." Malikai felt wronged by this boy and he was not going to let him get away so quickly as that. Besides he wanted the school to see this, he wanted everyone to know that even enemies can unite to fight a common goal. He wanted them to see it all.

Taj looked puzzled by Malikai.
[Who the fuck is this guy? Was he actually here? Oh well whatever he is he is obviously going benedict. COWARD?]
Taj would let out a huge sigh. Did this guy not know the rules or was he just that offended. He was a nobody in this school and attacking someone like Taj wasn't going to get him anywhere.
"Woah I hope your really not intending to...help the Varronite, because if you think kids here are going ot let that happen you must be foolish. Just to let you know from here on your a benedict in my eyes, and probably everyone here's eyes. It would be wise to let me leave, I mean we could fight here, and face wrath of the pillars, or even Darren himself." Taj would sarcastically shrug.
"And as for the coward thing you must not know who I am, I'm not backing down, I never do, I just would rather not get in trouble for beating someone's ass is all. Besides you don't really have a valid reason to fight me, especially not one valid enough to side with a Varronite. But I suppose it can't be helped."
With this said Taj brought his fist up into a boxing stance, with his left hand a little bit further away from him than his right.
The students were shocked. A Hircinian and Varronite uniting against TAJ of all people. This was definately a shocker, bound to be exciting the kids backed up and surrounded the three, apparantly a brawl was about to happen, and Taj was ready for it.

"You foolish man you think I care about the Pillars and what they think I'm already on ones hit list. Also I cannot be a Benedict simply because I never supported this stupid school and it's rules in the first place." Replied Malikai slightly agitated that he even thought to associate him with the Hircinians in such a respect. Now not only were his feelings hurt but he was now offended on top of that. Oh man Malikai was now going to make it his personal mission to make sure Taj did not land a single hit on this boy.
"Your right you just don't want to get in trouble therefore you are afraid and therefore you are a coward. And I do plan on helping out this Varronite simply because I like him more than I like you, so shut the F*ck up and stop trying to pretend your someone that matters. As I have told many people last semester and this very day I do not care who you are it makes no difference to me."
His last words were almost shouted and he looked around at the crowd of students who stood there both shocked and angered by what was going on. It was pretty clear class was about to become a living hell and everyone was going to come after him for it. Too bad for them Malikai never cared about people or their thoughts, he had hardened his mind to it years ago to protect himself. "I'm the X-factor, the spanner in the works who cares about nothing."

Etsuo stood in the midst of the crowd for a while. The area had been filled for a few minutes, drawing his attention. A grin had lightly been placed on his features, amusement digging so deeply into him that he could feel a full burst of hysterical laughter. The situation was priceless, simply priceless. There was little left to do but step in and announce his presence.
"Taj, do you enjoy the dark of a closet? It appears your over compensations have become quite public." The announcement was vividly loud, his voice bringing attention to himself readily. He knew very well the position he was placing himself in. "I am quite ready to dismantle you for parts myself. You do not represent anyone other than a small fraction of the freshman class. Quite honestly, I cannot fathom why they speak of your name as if it holds weight, much less why they would continue to do so after you flaunt your meager intellect so arrogantly. As your upperclassman, I take it upon myself to instruct you on how to conduct yourself properly in Hircine, for you obviously believe yourself to be from another entirely."
A quick glance about the crowd confirmed that they were most, if not all, freshman who had no grasp of their school yet. Knowing he had already been challenged by the freshman. "This has become a bit disturbing. Taj, wherever you go trouble appears to be. You, are quite simply an instigator. Since Darren is not here himself to instruct you on the finer points of being a Hircine student, I shall have to make sure you take pause before causing another such incident. Your challenge has been accepted."
Removing his custom made robe he boldly looked to the side, handing his prized article of clothing to a girl, Jr, from his English class. She nodded thoughtfully and began to walk away, there was no need for a girl to witness such things, she simply needed an excuse to excuse herself. "Both of you may interfere if you wish, I understand you have issue with him as well. Simple keep in mind, that any alliance we have may very well not extend beyond this hour."

[EDIT] Taj's ears wiggled hearing a familar voice. It was none other than that pompous bastard Etsuo Taj turned around that Etsuo getting ready to fight him as well. It was then he realized that maybe he is the reason of all this commotion it would be best if he acted like a man and settle this through talking. Although he felt that he was right in the situations it is no reason for him to lessin the Hircine High name. In the eyes of Alkaiser, Hircine may just look like a Varron academy covered with glitter and glam. Taj did not want to be the one to paint that image.
"I've come to a realization that wherever I go either, pompous assholes come along to "put" me in my place," he then took a hard glare at Etsuo.
"OR Varron assholes look for a fight." he then glanced at Alkaiser.
"Although this is the first time an all out benedict just wanted to fight." he then adverted his attention to Malakai.
"Personally I feel that violence is never the answer, it is simply the age and place we live in that promote this senselessness, and I guess I could of been wrong here, even though I don't know how I was in the first place but, whatever. So I guess I'm going to be the bigger man here and back down, simply because I would rather be considered a punk than to be a "tough guy" that shamed the hircine name." and with that Taj put his stance down and turned to Malakai.
With a long sigh he said, "I guess I'm sorry for not identifying you, he then put his hand out, hoping that a handshake would squash this potential fight.

(Modified, but only slightly, to include Etsuo as well. I apologize for missing your post, Etsuo.)
"And aren't you just the coolest kid in town, too."
Darren had heard enough. The news of a potential fight had reached him quickly, especially since he hadn't been too far off in the first place. News had been related, and all the details quickly filled in on his brisk walk towards the scene of the confrontation. Consenting first to merely sit back in the shadows of the crowd and see where the heated situation would lead, especially considering one's efforts to keep the fight out of the halls, the other, likely the same kid he'd heard about already, judging from the way he was acting, seemed all too eager to get something started here, even if it WAS only to get on the bad side of the Pillars. Meanwhile, the Varronite, seemingly stuck in the middle of it all, just wanted to see and/or participate in a fight.
Just like a typical Varron ex-student.
Uttering the aforementioned line, the crowd instantly went quiet, recognizing the voice of their captain, and parted ways, giving Darren easy entry into the scene. Taking this route, he strode forward briskly, having heard quite enough and losing his patience with all of it.
"To clear things up, this one isn't weak, he's wise," began the Captain. "True warriors know when to call their battles, and when to fight. Only fools rush in, talking too much, demanding that all listen, that your words are somehow more important than everyone else's."
By this point, Darren was standing in the direct middle of the three students. If Malikai, Taj, and Alkaiser were the vertices of a triangle, then Darren was the exact center point, with Etsuo hovering around the perimeter. Turning then to face the Varronite, Darren stared at him over his glasses.
"And as for you, your talk has far exceeded the rest of you."
Darren left his words intentionally short, the Captain had little patience with the Varronites to begin with, much less so when they were walking around looking for trouble.
"I will give you all one and only one chance, including you, Taj. Go to your classrooms, right now. Turn, walk away, and don't look back once you do. If you refuse, things will get far worse here than you originally intended them to."
Darren stood tall after his words, right in the middle of what would be a dangerous position, his head constantly shifting back and forth through the four other people in the circle of onlookers. He silently guaged who would possibly stand with him and who against', and estimated the chances each one would either make the wise move and walk away, or stay and egg on a fight.
If worse came to worse, Darren knew he'd have to take on all four of them. Even so, he was more than prepared.

"A wise man would not try to immediately start a fight then try and back down to move a fight to a location that better suits him. If he was wise he could have made his point known without trying to call the Varronite out so eagerly." Malikai replied to the so called captain turning his head to face him as he did. Now that he had a closer look at the so called authority his emerald eyes could see that he meant every word that he said. This man was not like the Pillar he encountered earlier, he meant business. He also looked like he could back it up.
This lead Malikai to wonder, ~Is this the right opportunity to strike...what good would come of attacking now...could I win?~ Malikai's fists began to ball as he smiled at the so called authority contemplating his next move. If he attacked at this point the two other Hircine students could jump in and make this a very bad fight. Not only that the Varronian may not come to his aid or be of that much help if he did. Perhaps it would be better just to leave with what he had accomplished here this day.
Complete and total Anarchy to all that saw this from the beginning. A Hircinian helping a Varronian to fight another Hircinain would spread around the school like wildfire and perhaps even cause fear to fester. Fear that perhaps other Hircinain's, stronger Hircinian's would do the same thing. As far as Malikai was concerned he had accomplished enough for one day.
He laughed light heartedly and unballed his fists taking a step back toward the Varronian who he had no name for. "Another day another time perhaps Darren we shall see how bad it can truly get." He turned to face the Varronian and nodded toward him before walking off.

Taj watched Malakai go off into a rant once more. [This guy has got some serious issues....and he's annoying. Definately an enemy now.] Taj put his hands down and shrugged. It was then when Darren walked in and told everyone to leave. Taj sucked his teeth. He said sarcastically and jokingly.
"Kinda late there huh Darren." he chuckled a bit.
He took a look at Alkaiser once more.
"If you still want to fight meet me at the Golden Gate Bridge."
He then turned around and gave a cold look at Etsuo.
"Same for you Etsuo, I still have a fight with you too."
Taj then gave Darren nod and turned around, heading to class. When the captains gives order, Taj is sure to listen, whatever that order maybe.. He parted the sea of students once more and made his way toward his locker.

"tsk tsk. Peace is nothing more than chaos under a mask." Steve says to himself. Now with his head down, embarrassed to be sharing the scene with Taj, who has revealed himself as nothing more than a lack-luster braggart. He mutters to himself "Perhaps a prevailing quality of captains is knowing how to get others to do your light work for you."
As to prompt his entrance, just as those words escape him, Steve witnesses the entrance of the true school captain. It was official...he had been completely surpassed by all of these egos. Immediately the captain hands down judgment after judgement...none of which came unbiased towards the Varron transfers.
"Dammit. Had it been any less than the captain himself, I might have just felt rowdy enough to make a fight out of this." Steve thinks to himself. He then walks up and enters a staredown with the captain himself. Suddenly a big creepy smile crept upon his face. The expression seemed to say "I just got my wish."
Captain...pleasure to meet you. The names Alkaiser but I'm sure you'll get along fine calling me 'Varron' as all the others do. Anyways now is when I take my leave...do clean up that delinquent Taj over there he's such a nuisance. I'd do it myself but...well...it seems I have no power in your jurisdiction. We'll be seeing you.
Steve puts a step of distance between him and the captain and then turns and extends his hand, knowing very well that the captain would never accept the gesture. He mocks a displeased look and brushes his hand against his shirt, as if wiping away grime. He then continues on his own way nodding back to Malikai, who now should have heard his name.

Etsuo saw the unexpected. Darren had come to joint he festivities after all. Before the girl could get too far off he turned and whistled lightly. She turned and looked at him oddly, but saw the red hair of Darren and nodded knowingly. There was nothing to walk away from any longer. Returning she handed him his custom jacket and slipped into the crowd that was returning to their class schedule.
One by one Etsuo watched them back down in the presence of the admissibly well spoken Captain. If nothing else, he had a strong presence. His fighting ability may very well be low, he had never seen him in a fight of any kind, other than the single attack with Gojyo. But this held no presidency. He had no reason to care of his fighting abilities. He cared only for his mind at this point in time, and he had been meaning to find him to speak. The opportunity was oddly presented, but accepted none the less.
The departure of each was not very unique. Two had wished to bring his attention. The other, a mindless drone who slid away without so much as a single thought. Such a show of will, impressive. The mocking thought was completed with a sigh as he approached. The robe like jacket that was handed to him was now placed on his arms purposefully slow, showing that he had no opportunity to attack with them and allow Darren to relax, if only slightly. Etsuo highly doubted that he would drop his guard after such a volatile situation. Nor should he even with a student such as himself, who wished held no ill will.
"Darren," Addressing him casually felt more natural, never being one to place himself in a drone like situation. "I wish to hear, from you, the official stand point on the Varron students. I have seen and heard much of their reputation. I understand a pillar has been attacked. You also had cause to teach one a lesson at one point. But I also wish to know what you think of the others." Deciding to simply show an obvious example, a small smile crossed his lips. "The likes of Taj, who have nothing else in their minds but the expulsion of Varron's. Weither they deserve it or not."
Taking pause for a moment, he straightened his robe and calmly gazed at Darren in a way he would not be accustomed. A gaze without animosity. "I know that you will walk away once I lose your interest. And thus I ask that you allow me to continue until I am satisfied, and I assure you it will be no longer than three minutes." He assured with a small hint of amusement in his tone.

The three initial instigators quickly took their leave, obviously realizing the dangerousness of going against an obvious order from the School Captain. Even the Varronite, despite his little show of cockiness that Darren had come to expect in most Varronites, ever since that very first day of class this semester.
Taj, as was to be expected from the stance he had taken the entire time, bowed out the most gracefully out of all of them, in Darren's opinion. He'd heard the order, nodded, and left, leaving little for Darren to complain about.
It was this other one, this loud, outspoken, most annoying of the three, that tested Darren's limits as he walked off. Apparently, he thought he'd gained some personal victory by his presence, and thought much more of himself than anyone else did. It was obvious that, to all present, he only came across as some arrogant punk, especially since the vast majority of Hircinians were rather loyal to the captain that stood before them.
This, however, left the last one, the late entrant to the party, as it were, and instead of leaving, he calmly stepped forward and approached the Captain, speaking his piece as he did so. Still a bit wary, Darren allowed this one his time. He knew his face, which wasn't much, but enough to know that not only was he a Hircine native, he'd been around long enough to know exactly who he was dealing with.
"The Varron students are potentially dangerous," Darren began, his eyes meeting with Etsuo's as he spoke. "However, on the other side of this potential danger is simply irritation. Regardless, despite their rather animalistic nature, they are, unfortunately, still human, and shall be treated as such. Keep them at arm's length, but realize that, despite anyone's wishes or intentions, they are here to stay. All of them."
The last three words were spoken with more than a little distaste, as Darren turned to face the expanse of the hallway, ready to begin walking. As chaotic as just a few Varron students had proven to be, Darren loathed the fact that there were at least two hundred of them roaming his halls, if not more.
Before he began walking, however, Darren considered this student's last few words, and granted him his wish.
"If you have more you wish to talk about, get them in before I get to my class. I may be Captain, but even I have duties I can not shirk."
With that, Darren began his walk, off-handedly wondering whether or not this one would follow, and if so, what he had to say.

Etsuo listened without interruptions, showing that despite anything said by him before or after this point he did indeed respect Darren. If not as a Captain, but a student who remembered his reason for being in school, who held a quietly commanding presence. One that he liked to think he sometimes had, but obviously was still lacking. With his answer set, the only thing left was to continue the conversation until he had no time left.
At first he did not think his intention was to allow him to continue. But as he invited him to continue a grateful smile shone monetarily. "Appreciated." Was his response as he smoothly positioned himself next to him, keeping pace without thought on his footing. "I understand the background of the Varronites. However," Releasing a sharp sigh he pictured Raven, but dismissed it quickly by continuing. "I have seen too much animosity from Hircines."
Etsuo let this linger for only an instant. He had little time before Darren would slid into his class. "I can hear it in your voice as well. And I must pose this question to you. Do you not think, at least some, of the Varrionites wish to reform? Or were there out of misfortune to begin with?" The question was rhetorical, he expected no answer, merely planting a small seed in his mind before his true question.
"Would you fault me for 'siding' with a Varron while you are not present, if I believe a Hircine to be the instigator?" The question would more than likely set him apart from any Hircine at that point. None were willing to take the position as of yet, but it needed to be taken. "I have seen Hircines return to the way they were before order was instilled. It disturbs me. And I believe that if Varron students will ever have a chance to reform or become Hircines if they are consistantly treated as outcasts and criminals."
Before the captain would have the chance to retort, there was still something he had to say. "I realize this would make me a target of Hircine's who have lost sight of their previous nature. However, it will allow Varron's to realize they don't have to revert to protect themselves from what was once a fairly normal high school."

As the two walked, Darren listened to what this student had to say. It seemed that he was, at least in some form, a Varron sympathizer. Naturally, one would expect this to be met with some form of distaste or displeasure from the captain. Much to the opposite, Darren simply listened quietly, nodding at key points, more to show that he was listening rather than putting in his own opinion, either way.
By the time the student had finished with the entirety of his questions, the duo had made it to a door, and Darren stopped outside of it, standing still and silent for a second, before turning back to face the student and voicing his own thoughts on the matter.
"Like I said. Varronites are, indeed, people, just like us. All I am trying to do, you see, is keep my school intact."
Opening the door, Darren took one step in, before one last thought crossed his mind, turning back to face Etsuo one more time before leaving for class.
"One way or another." With a slight nod of acknowledgment, Darren shut the door, and proceeded to his first class of the day.
