Fifteen referees. I want fifteen referees to be at this fight because there ain't no one man who can keep up with the pace I'm gonna set except me. There's not a man alive who can whup me. I'm too fast. I'm too smart. I'm too pretty. I should be a postage stamp. That's the only way I'll ever get licked. I don't even need to say his name. Simply, The Greatest. I was gonna say Apollo Creed from Rocky, but then I'd thought about Ali, The Greatest. -- 'There is no despair so absolute as that which comes from the first moments of our first great sorrow when we have not yet known what it is to have suffered and healed, to have despaired and recovered hope.' George Elliott. "Looking back on what I said all those years ago, all the hopes and dreams I had, I've come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life, then some would say I'm a failure. The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments. Learn to let go of the past, and recognize that every day won't be sunny. And when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair remember, it's only in the black of night that you see the stars, and those stars lead you back home. "So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, because most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination." - Coach Whitey. It's from a show. He's the highschool basketball coach, talking into a time capsule video he prepared for his Health class or whatever. ~Manuel

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it. Martin Luther King Jr.

You know, I honestly don't feel that hyped about quotes. They're just the slogans of the dead, so if you can't use them, why worry about them?
Especially since half of the quotes I see on here aren't even smart quotes, but little snippets from the media that I'm sure people chose because they sound cool.
So I say screw the dead and figure out your own slogan; that way you have something to boost your ego a bit.

"if you give doubt to your powers, you give power to your doubts."
The Sphynx, from the movie Mystery Men
That's one line that kinda stuck with me.

When the power of love overcomes the love of power- then the world will know peace. "Someone told me love would all save us, but how can that be? Look what love gave us. Some of my favorite quotes from my and most parents that are total bull. Also just general kid quotes.
"This hurts me more than it hurts you."
"I know what you are, but what am I?"
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
"I'm not fat, I'm big-boned."
