Yeah gotta keep trying till someone responds, no chance of people joining or continuing in a thread with you if you never join or make em! Erm, since Leaf is like one of the most oldest original xinners out here, I think he would perfectly well know what or what not will make people join a thread and seeing from how his threads simply ended dead I can understand his reasons for dropping it... things simply need to be faced, a large portion of the old active members is getting either busy or losing interest :/ Me, know what makes people join threads? Heh, i just write. I really don't know. I don't even know how to make shorter quotes, i mean look at this thing above *points up*. It happens i guess and it eventually will lead to people just posting invite only threads with people they can rely on.

I don't think any "opening day" vets really exist here anymore.....Kei, Leaf, and Zerreth might apply, but after that it's mostly 2nd generation (though is we were to rank, easily 1st generation, cause we are just that awesome).
That is part of the problem though, as the vast majority of the characters that were around in Leaf's day simply do not exist anymore, people either moving on or creating new characters. The only person to really have stayed with that one character is Leaf.

MY opinion- Besides the obvious inactivity of current users that I am not above taking blame for, I also think that this problem might have something to do with the Xin flash getting older. The buzz isnt really there anymore and newcomers who may have discovered the movies (and consequently this rp board) when they were big newgrounds front page and top 50 material now dont notice them through all the clutter of the shiny new videos.
All in all, I say its up to the loyal to keep this board up. I would like to help, as this was my first RPB and by far my favorite, but alas my imagination seems to get duller and duller as the days pass and I've been relatively busy in real life. If the worst should happen and this board goes under, at least we know that everyone gave it a good run.
long live hircine, long live liberty, and long live freedom to accomplish barely possible acrobatic maneuvers at a moments notice

Well, I'm always on very often nowadays, but the only thing that deters me from posting in any of your VIP/Admin/Mod threads is that most, if not all, the time, you all write an ENORMOUS amount and so I feel that you guys would get irritated at the difference in size of the posts. Once I get better at writing, I'll probably start posting in those threads. Other than that, I would be happy to join in on a thread. I also feel that maybe some of the newer RPers (not as in new to xinrpb1, but as in new to RPing in whole) feel the same way as me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I can see, there are a lot of new RPers that are the only ones that come on daily...
Besides, it's finals, school's ending and it's summer~ Some people go away, some people go out, some people feel that they could do something else than posting when it's such a sunny day out! hahahaha~

People write because some of them enjoy writing. I write to keep my mind flowing with ideas and try to work on my english concepts, while typing up a post. It's not like I want a job writing but it would be nice if I could pass my English Composition I course.
