With the exception of one storyline thread recently, Never Again where Dean was subsequently owned, virtually every other thread I post up is being dropped from the radar.
Now, I do obviously appreciate the factor that characters ARE posting once or twice to them, but I have enough trouble getting NON-storyline posts written as it is. They don't just jump out my head, I spend a while writing them most of the time, so I don't think a punctual reply is out of the question.
Hell, I remember what it was like back in the day, when you posted a thread up and you'd wait barely an hour before 'boom'; a reply was there and ready to go, not a day, two days....

I'm waiting for you to say you finally kicked enough asses so I can continue our thread in the little bistro... also I'm waiting for Kira to post to that apartments thread... and waiting on Kvist to post to the follow up thread... all in all, I doubt you're the only one facing this problem as my examples clearly point out... *sighs*

I have to agree =/ That's why I stopped making random threads. I'm inspired one day but it takes a few days for them to reply and then I just lost it. It sucks really.

It's deliberately meant to just be an aside for chilled RPing. Hence why I KEEP POSTING THREADS. But yes, I'm aware I'm not the ONLY one in this problem. I'm going to be civil and assume it's just graduation messing with everyone, but I'm seriously questioning if that's the only problem right now.

Ur. What storyline? There's dozens of story lines. So I'll assume you mean the ones involving the main gangs. I have seen that allot of the, Veteran's as you would call them, have been busy in one regard or another. Life happens, I assume.
But like everyone I've had threads die in front of my eyes, and resist the urge to curse the bastard souls that hold the knife which drips word-blood...
...
What?

I heartily agree...I'm prolly gonna write a sparring thread soon, but I'm not sure if I should do it today or wait 'till this weekend when more people are likely to bite on it. Hopefully they'll stay bitten...
And If you are willing to continue the Small Predicament without the others posting, I'd be happy to have a rapid fire convo with you...

But what's the real point of keeping on making new threads if older ones aren't being responded to either... I mean, shouldn't it make us question about the overal (in)activity? I doubt graduation is the only thing atm and I am more then interested in why the sudden drop if interest for sudden storylines and side threads occurs... Ah well, no intentions of making you caps lock back there...

I make new threads in the hope someone who ISN'T inactive will post to it, that's all. I wouldn't bother posting -this- thread if I'd just had one IC thread not get a reply. That's life, of course. It happens, I'm not about to debate the matter. However, yeah, I'm thinking the next week/two weeks are going to be the quietest we'll have had in a long while. Damn summer, curse you all for having lives.

We've never posted before, and the interaction would be awkward at first, but if you want I can post with you. I'm on .. allot. So I could keep it active. Drop me a line if you want.

I'd be replying to allot more of the wide gathering plots, like the gathering at Legion, if only Dain would reply. I would've mentioned the puppeteers thread as well, but he finally got to that one.
And kyu, he's another reason for threads being backed up. Little bugger and his torn ligaments. Such a pansy can't even type with his toes.
Then there's....Everyone else. Yeah, you know who you are, and the reasons falling down upon you. Smite those reasons and type out novel length post...WITH YOUR TOES!

Exams. Prom. "Senior Week." Vacation. Senior Prank. Jail.
Yeah. Life.
Hehe. This has been happening to me for well over a year and a half- it's why I stopped RPing, and when I tried, I kept giving up because no one would reply to me. I was shocked, I mean. C'mon. Not only was I still holding onto a reputation, it was post-active on XIN like crazy. *shrugs*
We'll see how this goes. Now since Kyu's out of commission, someone needs to respond to the Starting Over thread in Legion, and Kit needs to respond in Aryn's thread.

Ehh… Sometimes, in “crowded” threads, I throw posting order to the wind and let the stragglers catch up instead of letting them kill the thread entirely.
(Usually in the fashion of having everyone AT LEAST post before the person in the "limelight" moves on instead of waiting forever and ever for each person.)
Lots of times, I feel as though I’m being rude, especially since this board probably doesn’t take to it as kindly compared to other places I’ve been, but I’d rather move the thread to completion than let it die because of one person’s inactivity.
As for solo RP's... Hmm... Sometimes, a few pokes and stabs do the trick, other times patience and venting it nicely works.

I didn't even read the first post, just the title of the thread, before I cam to my conclusion of "Probably......."
Anyway, clearly all the characters your characters are RPing with are paralyzed with fear.

I had the same problem before the fall of the old forum and the beginning of this one. I just find it hard to continue posting when it feels like most of the threads i either make or join just simply stop. Maybe its just me though

Erm, since Leaf is like one of the most oldest original xinners out here, I think he would perfectly well know what or what not will make people join a thread and seeing from how his threads simply ended dead I can understand his reasons for dropping it... things simply need to be faced, a large portion of the old active members is getting either busy or losing interest :/

I mean, how many of our 'RP1 Opening Vets', from the board's very first inception and the few months after, are even still around? The sad truth is... sometimes, there comes more important things to do than RP, or maybe they just get out fo the mood for it. It'll happen to all of us eventually, I can promise you that. Sucks, but it's true.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure Adam and I will always be around in one form or another. Yes, I'm talking about evolving. Digivolving. Tyleramon!
