As I've searched through RP boards over the years, I have commonly come across one fact. Those that are based on something tend to do better than those that are not. Unfortunatly, we can't usually get an RP board based off we would like (no Family Guy RP's are going to show up anytime soon), amd other's are possible but don't exactly pan out too well.
So, regardless of how hard it would be to pull off, what would you like to see an RP board based on?

I dunno exactly, something with allot of violence that you can easily mold with different idea's.
Maybe something based off of a popular fighting game, Like Street fighter, Tekken, or Virtual Fighter.

Time of roman empire and stuff... probably difficult to get well based rules and starters storyline but could be fun as in being roman/barbarians etc, being in the army or simply a warrior with his own stuff etc... I dunno, just a well formed one would strongly appeal to me...

V:tM totally pwns teh Hellsing, let get that straight right now.
Though personally, I would like to see a Warhammer/ Warhammer 40k board, but those are impossible unless you use one of the spin offs as a base like Necromunda/Inquisitor/Morhiem

I'd like a Naruto based board. And perhaps a Fruits Basket board for those who like comedy over combat.
YES I LIKE FRUITS BASKET AND I'M A GUY! YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?!!

Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure. Nuff said... What's that? Obviously not enough said. YES I LIKE FRUITS BASKET AND I'M A GUY! YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?!! No, but it seems you do. Cut back on the caffine. Oh, I'd also like a board designed after any or all of the Soul Caliber games, especially with number 3's war time game.

V:TM is indeed much better. Especialy for playability.
It might sound strange... But I'd love to see a game based in Diskworld. Though for it to be worth any real mention, everyone would need to have a rather peculiar sense of humour about them, or else it would just collapse in on itself.

Likein the matrix idea, although i was thinking something based around a prison. Just watched Shawshank Redemption (Best film ever (if you haven't seen it, do)) and i think real character could be brought into a similar story RP board, what with guards, a warden, the prisoners. I think something good can be made out of that.

Rival Schools would be a great idea to base an rpb off of.

Rival Schools would be a great idea to base an rpb off of. Its called Xin, moving on. I am really warming up to V:tM. The board I rped on died fast, which bothered my Toreador Elder...

V:tM just might be better, you're probably right. It's been a long time since I played, so I probably can't remember it as well.
Chaos Space Marines rule.

And that's the sad reason i never works....everybody want to be a space marine.
Let's forget the fact that they are nearly impossible to RP (and boring too...kill, pray, repeat), but everybody can't be a space marine, of different chapters. The fact you need about half the galaxy to make it work on that scale doesn't help things either.
Mainly the reason you have to do a spin off of either series....it's just too big otherwise.

I'd play Tau. They got nifty suits and rifles and gun drones!

The Marvel Universe.
With the current Initiative, it could make for some interesting RP.
