It had been two days since his last tourny fight. He wouldn't soon forget it either. He had played carelessly now that he could go back and review what he did. His memory was as sharp as ever, but his knee was still throbbing. It was the reason for this visit. He wanted to make sure that, while nothing felt broken, there could still be some complications. It had been mercilessly rammed into a steel bar, twice.
So it was here that he ended up, filling out paper work so that he could have some pompous doctor tell him nothing useful, and to give him something to cope with his knee. With everything filled out, he put the papers and the pen they gave him back on the counter, and in a few minutes time he was in a cold and sterile room. The doctor had come in, reading over the papers and gave a slight grunt. "Hircine student, well then, crutches or a knee brace?"
Felix had been taken aback at the brief and roughness, but he figured that him being a Hircine student spoke novels. That and he was still hobbling along, so it wasn't serious. "Knee brace then." He had no other questions, he'd ice it for a few more days and the swelling would eventually go down. The knee brace would help with the walking and to make sure everything stayed in place.
The doctor left and returned with a brace, handed it over and Felix strapped it on. Immediately it put pressure on the knee and he had to cringe through the sharp pain. With it all in place, he stood up and thanked the doctor, who promptly left and he walked back to the lobby, to sign out and leave.
He sighed audibly as he was struck with the fresh air. It was tough enough to walk without the brace, and it appeared that his injury might be a small lasting one. He spotted a bench near the hospital parking lot and fell into it. "I gotta learn to be more careful," were the words that came out of his mouth, his head back and his eyes closed.
