At least it made me. break.com/index/shift_happens.htmlKinda scares me as to how fast the human race is developing. Will we really end up like it says, or just drive ourselves into a manmade apocalypse?

No, no it doesn't. It makes me want my six minuets and six seconds back.

No, no it doesn't. It makes me want my six minuets and six seconds back. You're also a loser, so what you say is moot. Also, I didn't watch it. I just wanted to say this.

No, no it doesn't. It makes me want my six minuets and six seconds back. That's being naive.

No, no it doesn't. It makes me want my six minuets and six seconds back. You don't want your six minutes and six seconds back. I dare wonder what you would have done with them, anyway.

Male on the internet...don't need a caluculator to do that math.
Though this does make me think.....that people reference things without citation should just keep thier mouths shut.

I'll say Chang, I liked the video you posted. It's intention was a bit blurry at first, but once I started seeing the indications of England's former power back in 1900, it's message hit me clear in the face.
If someone can't catch on the point of that six minutes was to remind you of the amazing progress of the Human Race's power that will spread out for the next fifty year, you seriously need to smack yourself in the face. With a shovel.

Oh yes, go humanity.....lets just hope thse tree huggers will stop whining about the whole playing god thing.
Seriously, I think we could do better.
Still, I don't trust the math without seeing the formula.

Right, I hijacked Tanya's account quickly, just to clarify.... No, you don't need a calculator. Hell, I doubt even those with mental issues need to count on their damned fingers to work that one out. I'd made the crazy choice of not just referencing EXACTLY what I thought he'd be doing... Subtlety, occasionally it has a place.

I did that before the video... Well, not really. Seriously though, I just didn't find it that interesting.
To Jellar: I don't think what I said was that naive. It wasted my time and I wish I didn't watch it.
To Shamino: I honestly don't give a damn what you think. And before you come with the obvious comeback of "well, others don't care what YOU think" I will say again, I really don't give a damn.
All in all, if it sounded a little rude (my first post), and I am sure it did, I am sorry.

Well it was. Maybe when you grow into your big boy pants you'll see that.
Or maybe you'll still be an ignorant child who refuses to listen to anyone. We'll see.

... Made me think. Mostly because I could have used this link yesterday! Then I could've spared myself the trouble of reading homework since I could just dish out something smart like that.
And it also made me think of how petty some people on this site are...

I had decided I didn't want to get to it, but now that it's public and on the board for everyone to see, I'll put in some more input.
Mayon, it's not what you said that was naive. It's why you said it. If, this all is true, as the suspicion was raised by Kurtz, then all of us young people will be having to face this crisis in the near future. If you didn't like the video, fine, go and say whatever. In my opinion, however, to brush away these kinds of issues that will involve every human on earth in the near future is naive.
I could go in depth, but I'd rather not sprout a debate.

I see that. But I know that bad things are coming and some may be inevitale. I just felt that I didn't need a video to go indept with this and found that it wasted my time.

That is some heavy shit to say the least. Personally I do not like the idea of being made obsolete by a machine built by people to replace people. Then again that could just be me.
Hurray for human development and to the end of our days at the top of the food chain!
