(It was 12:30 on a saturday afternoon. The sun was out and the day was beatiful. While most students were at the beach, working, playing sports, or doing whatever they like to do on a beatiful saturday afternoon. I was sitting on a bench in a clearing up in the mountains. As I sat there waiting I looke dup tot he sky and smiled.
Flashback to yesterday:
As I walked through the school it didn't take me long to find Tiaos locker, especially after handing over some dough to some reluctant students. As I reached his locker I pulled and envelope out of my pocket. On the front of the envelope all it said was TIAO. Inside was a sheet of paper. On the sheet of paper it read, "meet me in the first clearing up in the mountains with the park benches around it, tomorrow at 12:30 wear something comfortable. Signed Bruce Gills.
End Flashback:
As I sat there waiting I taped up my hands to my elbows with white tape. I then pulled my shirt of and took a deep breath. Reaching down to my feet I taped up my ankles as well. I was now ready for him. Now i only had to wait)

"Nice run on sentence Bruce..." Tiao trailed off to himself, half amused and half annoyed by being called out in such a manner.
I swear I do more outside work outside the school than any of the Administration...
Tiao crumpled the note into a ball and shoved it in his pocket, keeping it in case he would forget the simple details for any reason. The pillar would continue the rest of his day and night normally, not paying any heed to the note until the time came to go hiking.
Once the day came, it didn't take long for Tiao to make his way to the clearing and find Bruce. For comfortable clothing, he wore what he usually did. The original take Tiao had on traditional chinese garb was always the most comfortable for him as it was. Once Tiao found Bruce, he tilted his head to the side, letting it crack a few times before sighing.
"I'd ask you what you wanted Bruce, but it's not like you've ever been a hard one to figure out. I owe you a spar, but why the hell are we in the mountains?"

(Hearing his words I turned and stood. Smiling as I heard his words I looked around at the scenery slightly)
"you of all people should respect beautiful scenery no? besides Darren blayne probably wouldn't like it so much if we were to have our fun there now would he?"
(I said with a smile as I rolled my shoulders a couple of times to loosen them up.)
"I'm glad you made it, otherwise I would have been quite dissapointed. I hope the hike wasn't too bad"
(I said still smiling I then brought my hands up in front of me in a traditional boxing stance with my left in front. My right was back by my chin, and my elbows were locked in close to my sides with my left leg leading and my right behind.)
"ready when you are"

"This dog doesn't have so tight a leash as people tend to think" Tiao stated in a similiar way as if he was joking, though there was a seriousness to his tone that would say otherwise.
"I've had longer walks to the bathroom." Tiao replied once more, pulling his hands out of his pockets. He let them relax at his side, before raising his right hand out non-chalantly from his hip as he waved his fingers in the universal sign for "Bring it."
(OOC: Wow. Worst post I've ever made, but I have so bad writers block and I felt you've waited enough for a reply. Next one will be better.)

ooc: no worries buddy
ic(As he brought his hand forward in the universal sign for me to bring it to him I smiled. Shuffling forward with my hands still raised in my boxing stance I watched tiao. Waiting for him to spring into action. From the lastt ime I had briefly fought him I remebered how fast he was and how precise his movements were. I would have to watch for whatever he would try to throw at me.
As I neared him and came into striking distance with my legs, I took one mores shuffle forward before throwing a quick front leg low left kick aimed for his outer right thigh just above the knee. If he were to bring his leg backwards then my leg would continue onto its course and have my foot slam into his inside left knee or just a bit lower.
Last time I fought tiao I was reckless and had no plan. This time i had a game plan on bringing him down, and this time i was going to stick to it)

Upon waiting for Bruce's attack, Tiao made no action. He remained calm, hands at his side with no tensed muscles. Unlike most would think, this wasn't due to an overconfidence, but a quickness of movements when the muscles were relaxed. The second Bruce lifted his foot however, Tiao burst forward on his left foot, bringing his right in front.
His right leg would collide with Bruce's kick prematurely, hopefully knocking the man off balance. With bent knees, Tiao would take the kick to the thigh though likely sending Bruce back from his own power rather than forcing Tiao back. He torqued to the right, slamming his left hand accross his body in a palm strike aimed directly for the solar plexus of the red haired fighter.

(As tiao launched forward I grimaced slightly. As my kick met with his thigh I was sent leaning backwards slightly off balance while now balancing on my one leg. Instinctivly I brought my arms in and made an X in front of my body. This caused tiaos palm strike to strike the outsides of my forearms instead of my sloar plexus.
Since I was balancing on one foot the force of the blow would cause me to launch back. Curling up as I hit the ground I would roll backwards and regain my feet in one fluid motion. Standing back up I rolled my shoulders and dropped back into my normal boxing stance. )
"heheh, nice now lets see what you got"
(I said to him with a smile on my face as I motioned to him with my head to come at me. Now it was my turn to see how well his attacking was compared to his countering and defence)

Tiao took a mental note that Bruce was likely preparing himself for his speed and accuracy, after seeing the pillar in action before. Still, Bruce had been knocked over, being sent into a roll that landed him back on his feet. Bruce was the type that always enjoyed a good fight, even when he was on the receiving end of attacks from people like Tiao. It was...admirable, to say the least.
"Suit yourself." Tiao shrugged, bursting forward at Bruce once more.
Tiao planted his left foot, swinging his left arm in a short-arced knife hand, aiming for the right jugular of Bruce's neck. While the move would be easily read, it had a whip like motion, and even if Bruce blocked it would likely sting his arm. It was another of his probing moves, one that forced the opponent to act, revealing an opening to allow his more destructive attacks.

(As He burst forward at me I kept my hands up and waited. As his left arm arced out and came for my neck in a knife hand my boxing training came into play. Still keeping my hands up I ducked down and to my right side in a weave. This weave would cause me to pass under his arced arm. As I began to move up from the weave I threw a left hook for tiaos stomach, and then tourqued my hips to the left and followed up with a hard right hook to his exposed right ribs.
I was hoping the first strike would cause him to open up even more for the more powerful strike at his ribs. If I couldn't take down his legs to cripple his speed, then I would destroy his breathing system which would cause him to become too breathless to mount any type of attack)

As the stance had indicated, Bruce seemed to indeed be a boxer. It was a good fighting style in the west, though Tiao always felt it to leave far too many holes in its defense outside the ring. Tiao saw two most likely outcomes for Bruce to react to his attack, and sure enough, he had indeed done one of the two.
Boxing was quick and powerful, though it failed to utilize other parts of the body for weapons or shields. Bruce ducked and weaved to the right, Tiao instantly reacting as well. He brought his left knee straight up, cracking Bruce in the underside of his jaw. By this point the first hook would still go through, but thanks to Tiao's free right hand he was able to guide it to prematurely pass in front of his stomach.
Due to Bruce readying for another hook punch, the quick knee strike would likely pass under his radar, knocking the man back and hopefully falling to the ground. Tiao hoped he would be lucky and managed to strike in just the right spot to knock him unconcious, though he wouldn't count on it. Still, the quicker he got this over the better in his eyes. The longer a fight goes on, the less chance you have to win.

(As I weaved and my first strike was blocked by his free hand, I began to cock my right hand to throw the next hook. I felt a sharp pain in my jaw as my whole world exploded into a flash of colours. Stumbling back I kept my hands up and in front of me in case tiao decided to rush in at me.
I may not have been able to see at the moment but I knew well enough where he would still be and where to hold my hands. As the coulours faded from my vision and I was able to see again I shook my head to regain my senses.
Feeling an all to familiar taste in my mouth I grimaced. Spitting out the red saliva mixed with my blood I wiped my mouth. That was a good move, something I didn't see coming, so he drew first blood hmmmm, this was getting interesting.
I thought to myself as I stood there watching tiao. It seemed my boxing wasn't going to do much for me, so Instead I decided to use the first style of fighting I ever learned. Bringing my hands up and in front of me I opened my hands up and put them half an inch over my head but still in front with my left slightly in front of my right. My palms were open and facing tiao. I then brought my legt left forward about shoulder length apart and balanced my foot on the ball of my foot. bending my knees slightly I exhaled slowly then inhaled.
It was time for me to show tiao what I was really made of, I knew if another well placed attack like the one I had just taken hits the fight would be near an end. I would not allow another to connect.)
"lets try this again"
(I said before indicating for him to come at me)

Resilient as ever, Bruce was able to refrain from falling. Instead, he stood up and moved backwards. Tiao didn't rush him just yet, more out of curiosity than anything else. Bruce spit out blood, something that got Tiao's own blood pumping. Most of his fights ended rather quickly, once blood was drawn it usually meant the opponent was unable to continue. However, Bruce was a perfect sparring partner, able to take many hits through sheer will alone.
Muay Thai, interesting.
It was one of the more popular styles of the world, though in actuality Tiao had little run ins with practioners. He was familiar with basic stances and movements, but hadn't really had chance to fight against it. This would prove to be quite interesting for him it seemed.
Tiao would shuffle forward a few feet, coming back into striking distance. His left leg would plant forward once more, sending out a mirrored attack just like his last. This time however, the hand would shoot in before it would reach the target. It would quickly change into an elbow strike that Tiao intended to drive through Bruce's guard, causing pain to his right arm and hopefully striking him in the cheekbone as well.

(As tiao came forward at me I ssaw him plant his foot and then throw the asme type of knife strike with his left. This must have been a feint, tiao was too smart to use the same thing twice in a row. I thought to myself as I waited. Then suddenly his hand shot in before it even reached me only to turn his first attack into and elbow that obvously had the intention of breaking through my right arm to get at my face. Instead of trying to dodge again I decided I would show him my resolve. Planting my right foot I I tourqued my upper body to my left while bringing my fist beside my head hard and fast. This would cause my elbow to come up in an arc and collide with his own before it could reach it's target.
Instead of waiting to see if the elbow would overpower his attack, I would suddenly snap my left hand out since we were now both in close quarters, and grab for his right shoulder. While launching my hand out a split second later my left knee would follow for his abdomin. My left hand was mainly to grab and pull him in while the knee would contact seconds later with more force due to his momentum, but it was also meant to distract him even for a split second to further allow the knee to make contact)

Bruce was not only tough, but also brighter than Tiao had originally thought. Bruce had brought up a defense that prevented Tiao's attack from penetrating. The elbows collided hard, giving a resounding crack. Due to the nerve damage in Tiao's arms from years of conditioning however, this caused him no pain. Instead of standing still after this however, Tiao began to move with his opponent.
He slid his right foot diagnolly up and to the right, moving at an angle towards Bruce. As Bruce's arm came in to grab his shoulder, Tiao treated it like it was a strike, palming the arm to the inside with his free right hand, impacting against Bruce's outer wrist. Consequently from moving, Tiao had unintentionally avoiding the knee strike, moving just to the outside of it as the two fighters almost became hip to hip.
During all these movements, Tiao's elbow would slide off Bruce's, moving with his body. As a result, Tiao's left arm would travel over Bruce's own after being palmed to hte inside. Snapping out at the elbow afterwards the hand would go out in a chop, aiming for the left side of Bruce's neck.

(As our elbows collided I showed no signs of pain. Muay thai was mainly about knees and elbows, this had caused both my knees and elbows to feel very little if not no pain during fights. As he moved with me I felt my left hand that went for the grab get palmed away. Then as we came almost hip to hip I saw his left hand which had slid away from my elbow due to him moving snap out In a chop for the now open left side of my neck. Since my left arm was out wide from his block I wouldn't have been able to bring it in for a block.
As the the attack neared me I brought my right hand in close to my body and waited. Just as the chop would hit my neck I ducked down while Pivoting to my right. This would cause the chop to slide just over my head. Whil I pivoted to my right I continued turning until my back was to tiao. Still bent over I would send my right leg out hard in a powerful mule kick aimed for his chest. The kick was intended to send him reeling if not flying backwards and hopefully wind him.
Tiao was very fast and a smart fighter, but maybe I would be able to outhink him in this fight)

This was turning into the most flowing fight Tiao had seen in quite a while. When two fighters moved in so in sync with one another, it made the battle that much more exhilirating to the pillar. The chop passed overhead of Bruce, the red haired fighter spinning for an underside attack. It was unexpected, but luckily Tiao was in an adequate position to respond.
His right arm had just palmed away the arm, bringing his arm accross his own chest. Tiao bent his right arm, torquing to the left as he bent down slightly from the knees and waist. His elbow would deflect the oncoming kick against the ankle, sending it just outside Tiao's body.
Continuing his leftward momentum, Tiao raised his right foot. It would swing upwards in a kick similiar to a football punt, the top of the foot aimed to collide with the side of Bruce. This would likely wind him, spiralling him onto his back, possibly leaving a few broken or injured ribs.

(This was easily the most exhilirating fight I had been in for months. It had been so very long since I had felt this feeling inside of me, the pure adrenaline pumping through my veins. As my kick was deflected outside of tiaos body. Turning slightly with it this brought my right shoulder to face tiao. At that time I saw his punt like kick coming for my side. Before his kick could reach full extension and hit me with the full force I let my balancing leg drop out. This would cause my body to drop straight down hard and fast. Normally someone would look at this as stupid, but this way My right arm which would be in front of my body forearm facing the top of his foot, would collide with the top of his foot/bottom of his shin, before it could get much height or much power behind it.
As I fell I put all of my weight behind my right arm hoping to come down hard on the tope of his foot possibly breaking the small bones in his foot. I would instantly after hitting the ground fully roll to my left hoping to gain enough distance to leap back to my feet. Maybe if I was lucky the pain in his foot would give me the time to get away)

Bruce hadn't planted his hands as firmly as Tiao had originally thought. Therefore, when the kick was deflected not only did it move the foot, but Bruce as a whole. The dropping of his weight proved to lessen the power of Tiao's kick considerably, though this would cause no damage to his foot. Bruce's whole body would fall, and due to the large surface area it wouldn't focus in enough to cause any pain. Instead, Tiao's foot would merely swing back into place.
Still, the motion seemed to assist Bruce into rolling away. Tiao once again didn't procede to attack. He wasn't sure if it was due to a difference in his strategy, or the fact he was no longer in a hurry for this to end. Instead, Tiao spread his feet shoulder width apart, putting his left leg slightly in the lead for a steadier balance. He extended his left arm til it was straight, the palm facing out towards Bruce as his right hand lay palm up just across his chest in a loose Chinese Kempo stance.
"S'pose it's your turn." Tiao smirked, giving a slight backwards nod with his head to signal it was now Bruce's turn to attack once more.

(Smiling as I stood there watching him drop into his stance I nodded. Quickly in my mind I was assesing his stance, it would seem to me from fighting tiao he was very fast and precise with his movements, something I would have to keep in mind as I would attack.
bringing my hands back up in my Muay thai stance I began shuffling farther. As I came withen striking distance of tiao I feinted a quick left jab, as the jab was being thrown I pulled my right leg in so that my knee would be touching my chest almost, and then shot it out straight for his abdomen in one fluid quick motion, the end result a push kick. The kick was again meant to send him flying back while hopefully pushing the wind from his lungs.)

(OOC: Ah, posting machines once more. Kind of brings you back to my early Varron days don't it?)
As Bruce came in for the jab, Tiao began to torque to the right, unaware that it was a feint. Thankfully, Tiao's stance would once again come into play on allowing him an easy an adequate defense. The push kick would come in, Tiao torquing hard this time to the left. The right hand that rested on his chest would twist counter clockwise, palming the inside of Bruce's ankle. This would cause his foot to go past Tiao's left arm, which would be chambered for attack at this point.
Since it was a push kick opposed to a snap kick, Bruce would be falling forward without the solid target to hit. Tiao would scoot forward on his right foot, instantly torquing back to the right. His left hand went out in a straight knife hand, the tips of his fingers intent on striking Bruce straight in the solar plexus. It was a direct move with very little distance to pass thanks to Bruce's forward momentum.
