It was a pretty warm day this early morning. The sun was just about peaking the tips of the mountainside, the air was a little brisk, and their wasn't a cloud in the sky. Kruzy parked his beloved car off the highway at a site-seeing rest stop. Dressing up, he put on his hiking boots, jeans, and a just a short sleeve shirt. He had a back-pack filled with just some essentials, a pretty long rope, 4 bottles of Poland Spring water, and about 6 mint-chocolate granola bars, and a million-candle watt flashlight. He was interested in maybe only being going for the day, come back by night-fall, then leave.
Kruzy started his hike, first stepping over a few big rocks, just starting to get to the base of the mountain. Kruzy stopped to look up.... it was covered in trees and pathways, some more groomed than others, and about one track for quads and dirt-bikes..
~Nice mountain~ He thought to himself, as he started his ascent. He went about one mile so far, zig-zagging on the mountain just to make the hike take a little longer, taking very few sipps of water, as he also ate a granola bar. Kruzy came to stream, it was some of the clearest water that he could of ever seen since he was back home in Mass. Some fish swimming by, looked like bass, and the glorious sound of the water, hitting rocks as it drizzled down the mountain. It was beautiful.
But once again up the mountain he began to hike, now covering about 7 miles within a few hours, the paths becoming a little more less groomed, as he took different paths inter-twining each-other. This was a great endurance idea.... he would gain more leg and back muscle from this, and being a graduate, give him a little more of an edge while living out here, seeing as he was pretty short, only hitting five'five.
After about 7 hours, and finishing about 20 miles, Kruzy took a little bit longer of a break, not yet reaching the top of the mountain, if he was even going for it, but stopping on the side, sitting on large boulders on-looking the city.
~It's beautiful..... the city, the carressed ocean, and this great mountain~ He then downed another bottle of water, and just relaxed... almost dozing off, till he heard what sounding like either foot-steps or limbs falling off a nearby tree.... so kruzy got up, and went to check it out.
"Hello?? anyone over their?" He yelled out loudly, just wondering what or who it was.

"I am."
Kai walked towards the figure before him. He looks familiar. A small smile crept onto his face as he did so. I remember him. The parking lot with the rich guy, at Starbuck's.... He began to walk more slowly as he closed the distance between the Graduate and himself, only dirt, grass, and rocks between them. Is he training? Kai almost scowled. Why is everyone in this city so into fighting? He rubbed his eyes tiredly.
He'd been practicing in his own way. Behind Kai, his gunmetal S2000 gleamed in the sun, the ragtop folded. He'd been practicing driving, and he'd been taking a brake. Kai remembered the kid's 240SX, and the RB inside. This could get interesting.
"Hiking?" Kai observed, slowing to a stop a few feet from KruZy.

Kruzy put a small smile upon his face when he recognized the under-classroom before him. It was kind of a relief actually, since their have been reports of wild animals... kruzy would hate to get his hands dirty. Kruzy stepped foward as well, approximately 3 feet actually... and then began to speak.
"Yea actually, it's all about the endurance to me really... and the fact that its a beautiful view over the city"
Kruzy looked around, not noticing any bags or equipment, he put together that Kai must of been driving around the mountain. Especially peicing together a car sitting behind him.
"Yours?" Kruzy spoke with a slight head motion nodding forward, directing his head to the S2000. The car looked stock, but kids in this area do have under hood surprises. It didn't have much of a loud sound tho Kruzy noticed, so the exhaust might not have too much done to it, then again... it's a 4cyl Honda.
"Nice car anyways...."... Kruzy stated for the last time... finally giving Kai time to answer the questions that Kruzy seemed to of blurted out.

((Go to my bio. You'll see it's far from stock. Plus, it's not on.))
"Thanks."
He popped several Skittles into his mouth and shifted his weight over to the other foot. Endurance, huh? He looked at the equipment KruZy was carrying. Quite a load. I could never carry that much.
"What are you training for? I notice everyone here is hardcore about fighting...." Kai inquired, sincerely. He didn't know why everyone was a monster at fighting, or how some kids couldn't be expelled for it. They'd be beaten soon, yeah, but it was all so weird.
"Do you have your car with you?" Kai asked, with a smile. By this time, KruZy should have figured out the next question.
Wanna go canyon carving?

Kruzy smirked at the first question that Kai had asked him, then smiled even more gleamingly as he came about asking the next one. But he took his time in responding... and once lowering his head for a second to answer the first question.
"I don't like to start fights... but as you can see, people aren't the friendliest people in the world here, and they know how to fight...... and once i used to be all about it.... but now why fight when you can defend.... and help others first"
Kruzy stared at the ground for a sec.. his mind felt almost as if weight has been lifted, that was the answer and way he wanted his life... good answer... Kruzy was now determined to help people.
"And uh.... my car?... its towards the bottom of the mountain... about 10 miles hiking wise.... "
"It seems your interested huh?" Kruzy said these while now lifting his head, staring Kai right in the eyes... friendly, but kind of intimidating non the least.

"Yeah. I don't know many people who'd stick a large engine into a small car."
Kai looked him right back. Despite the age difference, Kai wasn't scared, intimidated, etc. You can't get anything done if you're scared.... his thoughts whispered, taking him back to the first time he'd driven in a mountain. He remembered he'd almost wet his pants. It was so nice being sixteen.
Helping people.... Kai pondered the thought for a moment. You can't help others unless you help yourself first by staying alive....
"Need a ride down, or you wanna hike it?"

Kruzy stopped to think for a second.. the night was coming closer, and a hike all the way down, yet fun, would be a big annoyance, so then Kruzy spoke with a smile.
"Ill take the ride down.... show me what that Honda's got"
Kruzy smirked, taking a ride in a modded S2000... should be fun.
"Now, you have driving experience right?....haha" Kruzy said in a friendly sarcastic way, just poking fun with Kai.
"Im parked about 5 miles down the road, past the S curves right before the main highway..."
Just letting Kai know where he was parked.

"Let's go, then." Kai turned around abruptly and leg KruZy to his gunmetal S2000. Don't disappoint, me.... Kai whispered in his mind, to the little car.
Click. The door popped open with a pull of the handle.
"Strap in."
Kai slipped himself behind the Sparco four-point harness, and jammed the key into the ignition. The F20C flat-four began singing its spine-tingling song, and the road was suddenly illuminated in a bright blue. Let's go. Shifting into reverse and backing to the side, Kai suddenly dropped into first, letting off a scorching burnout, before shooting off down the mountain. No one else is going to be up here at this time. Kai's eyes moved over to the tach for a moment, and his foot hit the clutch, locking up the rear wheels for a scant moment.
The tiny car and its two passengers slid around the first of the S-turns, smoke trailing out of its wheelwells. Fighting the wheel, Kai countersteered it just in time for the second, and plowed around that one as well. There it is, Kai thought, speeding down the straight, toward the parking lot. Spotting a familiar 240SX sitting alone in the parking lot, he smiled and rolled in.
"This it?"

Kruzy chuckled a bit, of course Kai new it was his car, he was probably jusyt being silly or wasn't absolutely possitve. And that car ride was somthing else.. smooth, but wasn't drifting a little much.... it doesn't matter, as long as thier wasn't any other person on the road or in the vacinity than it was definitly better then open streets.
Kruzy walked out of the S2000 and walked halfway in between the two cars, and then sighed abit knowing that his car lost a good amount of power since Kai last saw, or heard about it.
"You know... my car doesn't have the RB in it anymore..... i blew a few gaskets racing Shamino..... so i had to put in another motor... its not the fastest, but it has potential"
Kruzy spoke kind of confident, perhaps the engine wasn't the fastest, but the car was still set up, with a full aftermarket suspension, brakes, nice rubbers and poly bushing mounts.

"I noticed," Kai said, pointing to the blackened outline of the hood. It was clear smoke had been pouring out of the hood. Kai looked closely at the black edges and blew. Sure enough, black dust flew up and about, and Kai coughed. Okay, that was stupid. Knowing better than to touch another man's car without their permission, he began to slowly walk around it, observing the parts he had installed.
Suspension. 5Zigen wheels, new slicks....
"What's it running?" Kai inquired, referring to the quarter mile times.

Kruzy laughed aloud but in a non-rude like way as Kai had blew and coughed up the black smoke that was accumulated under his hood.
"It doesn't run anything like the RB, thats for sure.... but it's faster than a stock 240 anyways, thats for sure..." Kruzy went to open the hood, unlocking the door, and then reaching inside to the side and pulled the hindge. Kruzy then proceeded to open the hood, the latch a little stuck, so he banged on it for a second, then it popped.
As he opened it, he begain talking, explaining the not so stock motor.
"Well, its the KA24DE, but obviously turbocharged, i put the intercooler from the other car on it of course. Its got a single T26 turbo, which is all i could afford at the moment. And i haven't run it at the track yet... I know it can handle well.. but it of course needs more power..."
Kruzy stopped and took a breath, letting Kai walk closer to the engine bay.
"It only dyno'ed 195 to the wheels, but maybe after cams, and T3 turbo, i may be able to get her to 250-300.... but that'll take some time again"

You should have saved your money until you had enough for the T3....
Kai did not speak his mind. After all, KruZy was building this ride for himself, and only himself. A lesson he learned a few years back. He looked deeper into the engine bay, but not found nothing particularly interesting. Well, it's still in the beginning stages, but I wonder what could have been done with a VQ35DE, or a SR20DET.... He thought for a moment again, but did not speak.
I'd like to see this on Touge. Should be no problem for a car like this. Heck, a daily driver could probably do well on it. With enough skills, of course.
"Can... I see it in action...?"

Kruzy watched as Kai looked through the engine bay. Kai didn't really have an expression upon his face, which mainly meant to Kruzy that Kai didn't really have any interest in it. But then Kai asked if he could see the car in action...
"Action huh.... I guess i could give you a little spin around the mountain if you insist..... get in" Kruzy spoke rather confidently about it, he knew what his car could handle, even with the insane power it had once had, but this was nothing...
Kruzy shut the hood and then went inside the car, unlocked the passenger side door, and then started the car. A quick whooshing sound over-whelmed the engine bay, as the air intake sucked in the cold air, the turbo being so small spooled up quickly, and the cat-less exhaust rumbled as if a train were going by underneath them.
Kruzy was about to pull out when he stopped.... thought for a seond to himself and sat a minute longer..... a beeping from the center console was getting louder and louder... and as it just seemed to reach it's peak, a state police SUV drove by them slowly, right before he could pull out.
~Glad i didn't rip it yet~ Kruzy thought to himself, as his next question escaped his mouth.
"Where we goin?"

Kai popped the door open and got in, strapping himself to the seat. Rule one. Always wear a seatbelt. He took one last look at his S2000 and looked ahead. A police car trawled slowly by, as though daring the driver to rip the engine and let the sleeper loose. He can' be that stupid..... he thought, and breathed a sigh of relief as the police car disappeared from sight.
This exhaust is low. Either he's got a powerful engine and exhaust system, which from what I've seen, is not an option, or he's removed the catalysts. Kai though about it more. But he has a turbo. Does that mean he's got some kind of turbo-back exhaust? He sighed, and rubbed his temples. I'm not a car genius. Better just ask him.
'Let's go to the peak," Kai suggested, and paused. "Wait. Did you remove your cats, or is that just how your exhaust sounds?"

Kruzy was ready to pull out, the back tires spun slowly in the dirt parking lot, being since they were street/strip tires, they had very little tread, just enough to make them legal... if they were indeed legal in Cali in the first place. The car the soon grabbed it's way onto the pavement, were Kruzy stopped at first....
"The tires are too cold... one second"... Kruzy announced with a slight smile on his face... Kruzy then dumped the clutch, his foot quickly on the accelerator, and the other on the break, power breaking the car. The rear right tires began to spin, and then the left... and a huge white cloud poured out behind the car. Kruzy then stopped and inched foward, hidden in his own cloud of smoke. "Haha.... now she's ready". Kruzy then floored it starting on the very slow curve towards the top of the mountain. The turbo spooled nicely and pretty fast, since it was a smaller turbo anyways. Then the bov whistled as Kruzy pushed the clutch, shifted to second, and then floored it again. The back end kicked out a little bit, but the tuned suspension and ten inch rear tires quickly regained control. And this continued till he reached the first corner.... now in 4th, and put the car into third, while tapping the brakes. The Brembo rotors and pads gripped slightly.... Kruzy wanted to wait to go head on into the corner.... so he took it rather smooth, at just 50mph.
"I actually took the cat off.... its got the three inch down-pipe, then from thier is 3.25"s out to the muffler. The exhaust is the same thing that was on the car with the other engine.... just a different downpipe of course" Kruzy finished his answer as they reached the peak of the mountain... and then he parked off to the side, but not in the dirt, as to keep the tires sticky.
"We ready?"

Kai watched smoke pour out of the wheelwells from the rearview. Smoking there, hawss! He thought, a quote from a car magazine popping into his head. He then shifted and shot forward, the turbo spooling up nicely. The smaller it was, the quicker it spooled up. He watched as he took the first turn, losing only a bit of grip, the tires and suspension catching the car. Nice moves.
I actually took the cat off myself....[/i]
Removing the cat only gains one horsepower. Why not leave it on and make the world a little cleaner?
Kai coughed, but didn't speak his mind. "Yeah. Let's go," he said, and leaned back in his seat. And away we go!

Kruzy dumped the clutch and slammed on the gas pedal, the engine screaming and the turbo spooling, another shift and bov noise into 2nd, and then once again till third, where they came across the first corner at about 60mph.... kruzy ripped the e-brake, the car just beginning to go sideways, and then down-shifted back into second, and nailed on the gas, then letting go of the e-brake and having the car slide sideways almost naturally, probably sliding at 40mph, the nose of the car inches from the rock wall.
Kruzy existed the corner almost perfectly, the car bucking as the tires regained traction. Kruzy once more on the gas, heading into the first set of S-curves.... following the same technique, but then turning one way rather quickly before the next corner, the car barely sideways, but it still went to the point. "Eh, thats enough drifting... these are expensive tires.." Kruzy replied as he hit the first straight away.
The rpm's built up in every gear, and the turbo's and blow off valve did thier thing, spool and release pressure. Kruzy reached his top gear which was fifth. The first set of corners coming rather quickly as they reached 110mph... Kruzy pushed in the clutch, put the car in third, while still on the clutch of course, and hit the breaks, the car quickly decending in speed from 110 to 55mph, and then the car went through the corner rather smoothly, the suspension and now even stickier tires holding like glue to paper.
Every corner came up the same and Kruzy took them, each one getting better from the first, till he reached the point where Kai parked his car. "Well, was that to your liking?" Kruzy asked with a bit of sarcasm, but with more of a humorous touch to it, as he smiled.

So it can drift.
Kai stayed strapped to his seat as Kruzy took the 240SX to its limits in the mountain, each turn a bit better than the one before it. Hmmm.... he doesn't seem to want to waste his tires. Expensive, huh? He watched Kruzy slam it into fifth, the highest gear at the moment, and hit 110. In the mountains? 110? I don't see many long straights here....
Suddenly, the car jerked to a stop, back at where they'd started. The parking lot. Kai thought for a moment at Kruzy's words. "Pretty good thrill ride," he said smiling. He undid the seatbelt and breathed out deeply. It was his first time in the man's car, and he didn't know much about the car, or the way the man drove. Kai breathed out deeply again, and looked up at the darkening sky. Perfect for some canyon carving. He looked back at Kruzy.
"How much gas you got left?"

((short post.... writers block sorry)
"Gas...... i got about half a tank left.... why whats up" Kuzy replied while looking at his guage. Then stepping out of the car as well. Shutting ti off, and letting the car cool down just a little in case they were to drive some more.
Kruzy walked around the car and checked for little dents and scratches.... "Ahhh.... damn pebbles." He mumbled out, with a smirkish smile then looking back at Kai.

That should be more than enough. Unless his car's a nicely done sleeper of a gas-guzzler. He thought for a moment. Then again, gas-mileage is an important thing to watch out for when tuning.... Kai shrugged the though off. "I'll race you," he said simply, pointing to the road leading to the top of the mountain. Kai wanted to smile, to show off his confidence, and be arrogant for once in his life, but he knew better. For one thing, Kai was almost certain KruZy was at least on-par with him in terms of skill, and a car, with a good driver, can overcome near-impossible odds.
Just look at Takumi, Kai thought, remembering the main character from his favorite manga. Driving a Hachi-Roku, and winning.
"Well?" Kai asked, leaning on the front fender of his car. Due to the darkening skies, Kai's gunmetal ride was now no more than a mere sillouette, though that would change once it was fired up.
