"Yeah, I guess."
The small affirmation was the only response Pain Killer gave to Taiku's suggestion of ending their current meeting, as he continued to stand in place once the older man began walking away. His vision dropped to the sand, his gloved hands settling on his hips as he took a moment to let the pain die down in his ribs. Standing up was painful, but the ache was slowly fading away, enough that in a few seconds, he would begin to head towards the car where his sister was waiting within.
Well, that went better than I thought it would. Although Mya's gonna kill me for getting so hurt...
He knew full well that the reason Mya had taken his injuries so well was due to the face that they were in front of someone else, and that the moment he pushed himself back into the car, she'd start flipping out. Given her unique experiences, she likely knew what sorts of injuries he had better than Adam himself. It was a definite pain, being slower than those around him, and a fact that Pain Killer had wished was different more than once.
Just as Adam was about to begin the journey towards his car, the older man spoke once more, seemingly having one more question for the youngest living Rydell.
"Planned? Nothing. We're not going back to New Orleans... Mya refuses. She's got a boytoy, now. So really, I guess we'll just live here. It's not bad, I guess. Better than New York."
Adam didn't ask the same question back, as some would likely do in order to keep the conversation going, as he already had an idea what Taiku's plans were. After all, the older man had a club to run, a cousin to watch over, and a lover to take care of. As such, he'd simply stand there, patiently waiting for the follow-up explanation or question.
