Kit looked at Hircine High with a calm face. He didn't smile as much as he did back when he was at Varron High School, mainly because of the incident that took place back then. He carried his black packpack on it's one right strap, holding the strap with his right hand.
"It's been about three weeks since I left for Asia. I never expected what mom was planning."
Flashback...
Kit walked down to the bottom floor of his house. His mom was smiling as she stood next to Kit's bags.
"Hey mom, I'm all set for the trip. So, when are we leaving."
"You're leaving in an hour."
"Alright...wait, what? You'r not coming with me mom?"
"No. Don't worry. I know hat's been going on in your life, and that girl you met. I want to help you. So I'm letting you take this trip on your own. You have two stops, one in Luoyang, China, where you can train with the monks for a week. The second is in Japan where you can train in karate. You'll come back after about a week."
End of Flashback...
Kit looked at his black gloves, clenching and hearing the material stretch. A thought passed through his mind.
"I was weak back then, when Dean took Dawn. Not this time. I'm gonna bring Dawn back. I just hope I'm not too late."
"Kit!"
Kit looked over as he saw his friend Sky run over to him. Sky was dressed in his baseball clothing, his bat slung next to his bag.
"Where've you been Kit? You've been gone for three weeks."
"Oh, sorry Sky. I've been gone for three weeks in Asia, practicing."
"Aww, no fair. You get special training and I just get baseball practice?"
Kit sighed as he looked around, sitting down on a bench. He hadn't been to Hircine High school in three weeks. Thing semed to have changed a lot. It might have just been his training in Asia, but things seemed a little more solemn. He leaned back and lied down on the bench
"Well, in any case, it's good to be back."
Sky sat down on another bench, setting his stuff down.
"So Sky, how have things been around here."
"Same as usual. Varron and Hircine conflicts, or just the normal school brawls. Other than that, just a normal high school."

"Yo, isn't that the dead guy?" "Shut up, it's his brother, didn't you ever hear?"
"Dude, it's that Li kid." "Don't stand too close, I heard he could kill you now." "Scary son of a bitch isn't he?"
He took one quick glance at those around him. Some of the students reeled at his glance. He hadn't checked in a mirror lately, but Li assumed that his face had changed. Probably for the worse too. It probably didn't help that a frown seemed to have stuck on his face instead of a dim smile which could mold itself into different expressions. He ended up bumping against many shoulders, though he wasn't sure it was intentional. He looked over his shoulder and threw a cold stare. Their eyes met and he could see the recipient feel an involuntary shiver.
He blinked realizing his eyes must have truly changed if he got that kind of reaction. The only time he saw such a reaction was when Zerreth did his "death stare." Was he able to now transfer his killing intent like Zerreth could? He sighed. This was not supposed to be a consequence of his death. His brother wanted him to be better.
"Oof." As his focus was on other matters he didn't seem to have been paying attention to anything in front of him and ended up kicking a bag and losing his balance a bit. He shot a glance at the two students sitting who would be one of the owners of the bag, but he suddenly realized what he was doing.
Shaking his head and wiping his face with his hand as if in shame, he muttered. "Sorry, I hope there was nothing breakable in there."

Sky looked over as Li tripped on his bag. He moved it out of the way after to make sure other people wouldn't trip on it.
"Sorry, I hope there was nothing breakable in there."
Sky waved his hand in disagreement, "It's alright, just a bunch of clothes and shoes, that's all. It's my bad anyway. I should have moved the bag. In any case, are you alright?"
Kit looked over at Li. His eyes had changed from the three weeks before he left. They were now not reflecting any kind of light. But it was just a look. His personality hadn't changed.
"Well, in any case, I guess we should skip to introductions. Sky?"
"Oh, right. Sorry about that *extending his hand* I'm Sky Hirano and this is Kit Clyner, both Varron transfers. Anyways, sorry about earlier anyway."
Sky placed a hand on the back of his head in embaressment, sweatdropping at the same time. Kit got up from lying down, smiling a little and extending his hand as well.
"Pleased to meet you..."

"No, it was my fault. I wasn't paying attention to anything in front of me." He said as he gave a smile. As he shook hands with both of the students he noticed the one named Sky placed a hand to the back of his head. "Definitely Japanese. No other culture has such a mannerism." He though. Then he began to see his smile aimed at his own behavior rather than out of courtesy. He was laughing at himself for developing such a habit. Everything had a hidden meaning to him. The handshake was to see what kind of personality could be derived, or how strong one's grip could be. His never resting eyes always looking for details to pick out.
"Pleased to meet you too. I'm Li." "They're gonna ask it. They're gonna ask why I have no last name. He decided to intercept the question simply because he didn't know how to answer such a question. Thinking off the top of his head he ran a quick run through of everything he had just heard. There was one thing he could comment on.
"So, you're Varron transfers as well? I guess we're all part of the bad crowd, huh?" He said in a joking manner giving a smirk. "Speaking of mannerisms, it seems I have developed some of 'his' as well..."

"Yeah, I guess you can say that."
Kit replied to the comment, not even thinking about Li's no-last-name situation. He had become used to people either concealing their last names or not remembering due to some kind of incident. So, in order to avoid an awkward situation for both sides, he didn't even bother.
"Doesn't look like any kind of a problem, at least, not as bad as if was when the Varron transfers first arrived here."
Sky replied to this. He had known about the original tensions among the Hircine and Varron students. But, it did look like things had died down a lot since Kit had left on his trip. Now that he had returned, most of these tensions were settled , or at least simmered down.
"So any Li, do you have a last name? It's alright, you don't have to tell us."

OOC: Sorry for the delay.
He smiled, as if to laugh at the fact he received that question often. In reality, he already knew it was coming and was attempting to stall for time. He knew he couldn't smile for too long, but a 1 to 2 second stall was all he really needed.
"No, it's nothing like that actually. Li is my last name. I got hit by a car and so since then, my memory is a bit fuzzy. It's my first name I don't seem to remember, but I have recollections of being called Li. To me, Li never felt like a first name." Smooth. Being derived from the last name Yi, Lee or Li were often used when translated to English. Li surprised himself a bit for being able to bluff that quickly on the spot. He never spoke much so he thought the others would notice, but with that kind of speed thinking and presenting in a firm voice, Li was positive they wouldn't be able to notice.
He felt an itch in the back of his neck. Acting as sort of a "sixth" sense, he seemed to often happen when either someone with a killing intent was fixed on him, or it was his body feeling restless in the presence of another with fighting skill. He wasn't sure when it happened, but at some point, Li had acquired a hunger for a good fight. He knew himself to be a very passive person and yet he could feel this tension within himself that wanted to break free and just punch the student in the face to see what happened.

"Oh, kind of like that mysterious guy, only last name type of stuff. Whatever the case fine by me."
Kit glanced over at Sky with a slight smile, thinking, "Well, that's Sky for ya. He usually doesn't bug people too much. If they give an explanation, he takes it if it's detailed enough."
Kit looked back over at Li as he got a strange feeling. Li seemed different from earlier, but not in a good way. Kit didn't develop anything like a sixth sense, even during his training. The fartheset he went was just peripheral vision so that he could see 200 degrees. But it was human for him to get a bad feeling. Kit went on a slight alert, making sure to appear normal, prepared to counter anything that might result.
Sky leaned back as he scratched his head, sighing, then leaning forward again, "Hey Li, if you don't have a first name right now. Even though we first met, is it alright if I give you a temporary one for now? *raises hands* Don't have to use it, just a suggestion or something, you know, until you want one or if you just prefer Li or anything like that."
Kit placed his head in his hand as Sky asked Li the question, thinking, "Well, Sky's definitely changed. I guess he kind of warmed up to this place. He's definitely as friendly, if not more, than back when we went to Varron."

He shrugged, odd response. Definitely something unexpected, but nothing completely out there. Once more, his eyes instinctively just overlooked both students in terms of body builds and analyzed their faces. He knew his eyeballs must look like they were out of control, but he was taking in as much information as possible. He smiled to respond to what the student named "Sky" said. "Sure. It's not that big of a deal to me..."
He folded his right arm and rested his left on his right wrist so that he covered his mouth with his hand. Laying his index finger along his lip and his thumb perpendicular to his mouth he seemed to be thinking of something. His eyes seemed to flash something malicious as he narrowed them slightly. They seemed to smirk on their own. "On one condition I guess..."
He looked each one over one more time. Li knew by now he couldn't hide his own fighting spirit. As much as he could do to hold his anticipation, he knew they could feel it. Sky seemed to look relaxed, but Kit seemed to be reacting to his "aura." Either Sky softened a bit, or Kit was simply on edge and able to react more quickly. In the end, which would be the better opponent?
He pointed to Kit with his left hand. "If Kit fights me and wins." He shrugged. "I'll probably take your suggestion even if I won, but I guess I have an itch to fight now." He chuckled at his own immaturity.

Sky looked at Li in slight surprise, then over at Kit, then back at Li, "Eh, you okay with that Kit?"
Kit sighed and raised both hands in a "whatever" gesture. After all the experiences he had at Varron, as well as his training and everything else, he had grown used to people anxious for a fight. "I guess I'll do it. Doesn't seem like a problem."
Kit got to his feet and walked away from the bench, giving some distance before turning and facing Li. He raised his inner hand (right hand) close to his face while his other hand was extended, but making sure his arm had still room to lengthen some more. Kit turned and yelled over to Sky, "Hey, Sky, you sure you've got a good name? Just want to make sure you have a good one."
"Oh, right, okay." Sky began to count finger while thinking of names, "Tony...Chris..."
Kit was still keeping i within his peripheral range, turning to face him. He bent his back leg slightly and extended his front leg, "Alright Li, whenever you're ready."
Kit's non-reflective eyes gave a very serious appearance and he readied himself for Li's offense. His mind was already thinking, "Alright counter the attack, throw, or dodge. If counter, then I'll just have to attack for a bit, then back off and get ready for another. Throws might catch him off guard, but I'd better not risk it..." Over the course of the three-week training, Kit's style had become less "video-game" like, and more realistic.

Li smiled as he began reading Kit, starting from his eyes. "He's thinking." Li thought as he walked opposite to his opponent. He stuck his right thumb in his pocket and gave no sign of any stance. He took a quick glance at the ground. "Three paces." Li blinked and shifted his eyes back to Kit to try and not give any hint as to what he was thinking. The first move was always a psychological game. The first person to stutter would lose the bout and start off at a disadvantage.
Li continued walking in an arc around Kit with his left facing his opponent. While he continued to stare Kit down he was paying attention to the shadow he was casting. Once his shadow was directly in front of him with his "head" pointing towards Kit. Li pushed forward with his back right foot and moved forward a pace and a half, he slammed his left front foot down keeping the heel up and knees bent and slid another half a pace. "Within range." He threw a quick punch that he took from Hapkido and referred to as a "stinger strike." His left elbow was facing his opponent, then cocking his wrist back, he rotated his elbow upwards to land a small, quick strike with the top of his knuckles and pulled back immediately upon contact. It's point wasn't to deal damage, but to force the opponent to flinch and throw him into a defensive stance. The effect of the punch however left a small stinging feeling that was like a welt without any physical marks.
He followed with a straight punch to the chest and rotated his body as he stepped forward with his right foot. Whether it connected or not, Li would pull back and as he did, he would straighten his knees and bring his right foot back in unison very briefly taking the stance of a Muay Thai boxer and then throw a low kick with his raised foot into Kit's shin. If that made contact as well, he would push forward a bit and tilt his body back a bit to send a side kick to Kit's chest with his toes pointing toward Kit so that if it made contact, it would deal the greatest possible damage as well as maybe throw his balance off.

As Li proceeded with his attack, Kit took the stinger attack, making sure it hit his right forearm. As the second punch followed, Kit reacted, thinking, "Dodge." Kit stepped to the side with his back leg, letting the punch pass by him. As he did, he shifted his weight to his front leg, raising his back leg and jumping to the side. Kit took a step forward, and then another that went half the distance, standing with his legs close together and bent. Then, he leapt forward, pushing with his back leg, his arm partially extended in a flying punch, which he learned while he was in China.
If this hand connected, he would quickly bring his arm back and do a quick backfist with it. Most of the stuff he was using he learned in his training in China. Then, he would switch his feet and do a downwards stab with his hanf, his other arm across his body. After that, he would step back, arms flush against his body in a guard and his front fot sitting on the tip. Then, he would move up on his back leg and send out a side thrust kick.
Sky was still on the other side, still thinking of a name.

OOC: Super delayed post. Really sorry. I don't have any excuses.
He slammed his ground and imitated Kit's evasive maneuver. He grounded his feet and lifted his toes. With a small exertion of strength in his heels he shifted backwards and felt the punch graze the front of his flowing shirt. Stopping himself with his toes, his feet changed position as his heels were now lifted. Attempting to increase Kit's momentum, Li grabbed Kit's wrist with his back left hand with his elbows bent away and extended his hand in an attempt to pull Kit towards him. In a swift motion he attempted to land an elbow to the space slightly in front of his armpit. An odd pressure point, but a pressure point indeed. A successful blow would send a shock throughout his entire arm.
He only problem he could see is the danger of his head. He was still unsure of Kit's fighting style and with his head so close to Kit's arm and body, there were openings that Li could probably take measures for, but none that would completely negate any attack.

Kit watched as Li grasped his wrist, pulling Kit towards him. Kit relaxed his punching arm, then his eyes shot over to see Li's elbow shooting at a little in front of his armpit. During his training in Japan, Kit learned about the pressure points and remembered that one of the pressure points wat in the area Li was aiming. Kit, using his relaxed arm as a base, forcing his arm to the side. The equalizing force sent his arm to the side while the rest of his body was pushed in the opposite direction, just barely avoiding Li's elbow.
In the position Kit was in with Li holding his arm, he couldn't do very much. The most he could focus on was getting his arm free. He saw Li's head, but already thought ahead that Li would be expecting his head to be open and prepare for a strike in that direction. So, he aimed for something a little less expected, Li's chest. Kit planted his feet in a way that he could put his weight towards Li, sending a palm strike at Li's chest with his left hand across his body. If this strike connected, it would hit around Li's solarplexus, knocking the wind out of him, allowing Kit to yank his arm free.

Shift in movement. As Li saw Kit's feet move, He moved his left leg backwards and began to twist the arm that had in his left, when suddenly he felt a heavy thud on his chest. His instinctive move was to let go and dash backwards away from Kit as he let out a cough. A palm huh? he though as he lay his left hand where Kit had struck him. His lead was falling quickly. He would have to regroup his thoughts, analyze Kit some more before acting again.
Taking another few steps back, he faced Kit head on with his right foot forward, and his left foot pulled back a bit so that his left toes were facing 10 o'clock while his right was facing twelve. He held out his hands in a defensive manner. His right arm was slightly bent and ahead of his left and both palms were facing slight angles in opposite directions. A very basic defensive stance but one that was effective. If Kit analyzed his opponents as much as Li did, then Li already gave away his stance versatility as this time, the stance's power was focused on his left side rather than his right.

Kit shook his arm as he got it free, feeling the pressure that Li had put on it. As Li assumed his position, Kit also took up another position. He bend his right leg (back leg) down as he let his front leg slide forward, lowering his position. He slightly bent his body towards Li and extended both arms, palms up. This was a counter stance he learned while training in China. The lowered stance forces the enemy to go for mid and low attacks. The open palms allowed Kit to block attack that come vertically from above, and his spread stance allowed him to switch into another stance.
If Li decided to switch to the offense, Kit would be ready. It Li attack vertically from above, Kit would block with his hands, while a low vertical blow would be blocked by his palms as well. Any other blow would be countered by Kit swinging his front leg to the left or right, shifting his weight to the back leg. Then, he would use a drunken fist-like strike, leaning forward and striking with both arms in a double fist attack. If that struck, Kit would fall forward, rolling so that he would be on his hands, striking again in a kangaroo kick.

He smirked, had there been anyone who forced Li to go offensive for so long? As he began to switch stances he began analyzing his own style. Much of his style relied on him responding to his enemies, thus he was heavily focused on countering. He had an offensive style, but it wasn't as defined as his current one. "After this," He thought "I'm gonna need to train a bit a more." He thanked Kit in his head for letting him go through this epiphany.
But this is now. He needed to act. He stood up straight and leaned his chin against his right arm which was supported by his left which went across his body. "The open side is his back and every angle between his sides and back. The only way to get a hit is to force him to break his stance." Palms were up, any attempt to use an aerial axe kick was out of the question. He could pull of the Perfect Dash, but for how long? And when would his stance break? Li realized it was his only option. He had no moves to mimic and that stance was also based on countering. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply. When running at his full potential, he would need to rely on all his senses in addition to his sight. Sense his presence... He began to bend his legs before he broke into a run. Staying low to the ground he kept his arms bent at his sides. It wasn't a dedicated run, but the most effective way for him to get his optimal speed. Right as he entered striking distance, Li pushed to the side with his left front foot and spun to maintain his balance as he circled around Kit alternating his pivoting feet when either his back or front were completely facing Kit. On his second rotation, he held his right foot down, and held out his left leg and came in for a sweeping low kick. He wasn't hoping for a strike against Kit's back, rather he needed to force Kit to move. Kit's stance was balanced and he wondered and knocking a foot away did absolutely nothing.

As Kit had planned for a low strike, Kit shifted his weight, seeing the leg coming low. He quickly planned his dodge maneuver, "Too low for me to jump over, and I can't just move back. Gotta go just above it, so the length of my body is missed." Kit whirled as Li's leg came, going into the drunken double fist strike. But, he made sure to time it so that he would strike at almost the same time as Li's leg was intended to strike. Kit's fists shot out, aiming for whatever part of Li came by. If he did strike, his double fist was probably strong enough to send Li partially back. After that, Kit would roll forward and go into the kangaroo kick.
"That was a pretty good trick Li did, trying to make me make a move that will expose a weak spot. Just hope this counter works. Course, I haven't used any of my old techniques since I first left. Maybe I can do a little integration. Alright, when the opening comes, I'll use one."
