Jason was fairly happy with the the attempt at a take down. Though with the other's quicker reactionary speed he knew he had given him too much slack on the fall. In a minor attempt to soften the elbow Jason would raise his right shoulder and tuck his head behind it. This would unfortunately be too late in the execution to completely stop the elbow. With the strikes power it would slide from the shoulder and instead of the intended target hit Jason's right cheek. With the downward momentum still coming it'd allow him to roll to his own left more quickly. Though the real annoyance to him at this point wasn't the failed attempt or the strike. Jason's annoyance was centered around how long it took him to stand being as heavy as he was.
First he'd raise to one knee and put his arms in place knowing some opponents would gladly take advantage of a downed enemy. If no further attack would come quickly he'd proceed to his feet. A warm feeling was now on his throbbing cheek as well as his neck and shoulder which also began to ache. It had been a while since he'd felt it, but it was unmistakable. The trail leading to his position also added to the knowledge, the elbow had caught him well enough to bring blood. With a little grimace he'd take notice of a bit of a chest pain forming, though from the others position it might just seem a look of distaste at being hit. With a forced grin he'd stand at ready while taking a step toward the center and away from the ropes.

Kyousuke, after making contact with the elbow strike, looked at his opponent to gauge where he put damage. From the looks, and feel of it, he grazed over his shoulder and hit the cheek bone instead of the jaw. A less substantial blow, but it still had the desired effect. When Kyousuke grabbed the ropes and quickly pulled himself up, his eyes were still on his opponent. If this was a real fight he would have taken the opportunity to drill in a powerful blow, but in a spar with an opponents strength untested he simply wouldn't do something like that.
Instead Kyousuke allowed his opponent to stand, raising himself quite easily first, and stood with his arms at his sides naturally. He realized at that moment that he probably used a blow that did not fit in the spar mentality, and frowned inwardly. "If the blow was too severe I apologize, I have not gauged your strength yet." From the look of his opponent's face it looked like he was grinning, but he never held much stock in reading expressions. They were used to deceive, as were words. All the same he would keep his right shoulder aimed toward Jason, working his way casually to the middle of the ring.

Jason's grin turned to disappointment for a moment. "You let me stand, this is not a game for babies to play. If there is opportunity, take it. I am not ignorant enough to believe I did not in fact ask for such a hit by entering this ring, and don't you dare let one hit make you take me lightly." Already having set his left leading stance the moment he stood he didn't like that Kyo had not set his stance yet. Though he wasn't going to let any opportunity pass. As they were both nearing toward the center he would use his height to create a very large forward and right side step. Though his feet continued there motions very close to the ground he'd quickly set his weight and throw a left fist at the center of Kyo's chest.
Jason knew his strikes to be slow, but he was doing something he generally did for a few reasons. The strike would make a good measuring stick as he knew his own reach would be larger than the others. As well if the strike missed it would most likely be to a back wards dodge since it was aimed at the center of the form. Next there stood that in general blocking his punches usually ended poorly. Then if the strike did hit it would only prove a positive effect for him as well. If the opponent did move away he'd simply make a forward and right step before throwing the same punch again. Jason didn't much like having stationary opponents if he could keep them moving. "I also know that if this were a real fight, an elbow would be the least of my worries as well as the least of your worries."

Kyousuke raised a brow slightly, taking the others comment to memory and applying it to the information he had about his opponent. This was a clear display of his personality. And he would go ahead and treat this like a real fight if that's the way he wanted it to be. "I am not in the habit of hospitalizing a sparring opponent I have not tested yet. The elbow was merely a baser reaction. I don't like the ground." He said with a firm sense of distaste flowing into his last sentence. He found ground fighting very distasteful, as it disabled what he enjoyed out of fighting almost utterly.
With his shoulder no longer aligned with Jason he was a no longer a very thin target, forcing him to not only be closer than normal, but making the trajectory far more varied. All of this he knew when he set himself in this position and Jason moved in front of him. Although he had not counted in the fact that his guard was down. It would appear as though he had stopped the spar, or was leaving himself far too open. But the fact was he trained himself to fight from neutral stance, and he felt just as comfortable like this in a fight as he was in one of the twelve (plus) stances of his traditional fighting style.
The first blow he would avoid however. Despite this being the position of his choice, he was gauging speed, and how far the opponent committed to the blow. Both feet would make a small push backwards, the left would plant itself early and then plant directly forward once more, to square his shoulders at Jason still. Amused to see that Jason threw the same punch again, just as committed, this time however Kyousuke would not dodge. He wanted to show his opponent his error, by going against his strengths he was leaving himself open on many fronts to a faster fighter. And Kyousuke was, quite literally, planning to hurt him until he realized it.
"If it were real, I would have jabbed you in the neck with something blunt." He uttered in response as he swayed his torso back, his left would have moved forward, slap a tight grip onto the elbow, and tug down and across his body. He would release the hand just as it was about to move in front of his chest. A regular technique to pull people off balance, and create an opening. Before the arm would be pulled back Kyousuke would kick off with his back foot, torquing his shoulders and hips to continue the kinetic links, and land another blow under the ribs. With this blow however he would not be quite as off balance, and would torque his body in better timing to create the heavy blow he desired.
