Vincent sat alone on the roof of Hircine's main building with his back against the guard rail, he looked up at the sky with his perpetually stoic face lost in thought, if it wasn't for the rise and fall of his chest one might mistake him for being dead. He wore his usual worn and loose fitting grey pants and black wife beater along with his old skater shoes, his leather jacket was serving as a pillow for him to sit on exposing his bandaged covered arms and torso. A half empty pack Cigarettes lay open next to him, his left hand lay in his lap while his right played with his custom Zippo. The sky was clear with very little clouds to be seen, the weather was warm but not uncomfortably so, it was the kind of day that normal people would go out and enjoy with there families while they wore stomach wrenching smiles of joy. A shiver of disgust ran up his spine at the thought. But the air, the air tasted the same as it always did to him during the day, filthy, polluted, it was a good thing he had brought some smokes.
He takes a Cigarette from the open pack with his left hand before placing it in his lips, flicking his Zippo a small flame comes to life before lighting his Cigarette, he pulls it away and inhales , nicotine rushed threw his lungs and into his blood calming him greatly. He flicked his Zippo closed extinguishing the flame, he was a little sad to see it die, before placing it in his pocket while taking another draw before returning to his thoughts. He had been here a while now, not as long as most but long enough to hate it with all his mind, body and soul, it was rare he got a moment to himself like this, he was ether in class or being challenged to a fight. He had to ditch class like now if he wanted any peace here, many have challenged him to a fight, to the best of his knowledge there was never any reason behind it, usually he would respond by ignoring them or walking away which worked most of the time. Why were people here so eager to fight? They had there entire school career, no, there entire life to do so and yet they seamed to what to start a battle royal every day.
“What the hells the point?” He thought aloud to himself, genuinely confused by the actions of his fellow students. With a sigh he took one more draw of his Cigarette before spiting it out and returning to his thoughts.

"That depends on what."
The voice would come from behind Vincent, as the blatantly marked ex-con still sporting his orange prison shirt approached from behind. He casually walked up to the student, reaching out with his left hand. "You mind?" He'd ask, not bothering waiting for an answer as he gripped a cigarrette and wedged it between his teeth before pulling out his own lighter.
"You could get a different answer for the point of every subject you could possibly bring up." Conner paused, taking a drag as he looked out off the roof, taking his face away from Vincent's. "But, there's one answer that applies to all of them. Nothing really. Dig through any reasons you could muster up, and the deeper you get the more emptiness you'll find. Despite any rationale, any ambition, all it ever comes down to is one thing: primal needs."
Conner paused again, taking a drag as he let his words soak into the student next to him. "The point of living is merely to survive, despite what any fanatics tell you. Therefore, any actions, and words spoken are only to reinforce that primal need for survival..." Conner paused, this time removing the cigarrette from his lips and flickin it downwards. Slowly, he began to turn his head, finally bringing himself to look fully into the eyes of the student at his side.
"Keeping all this in mind, tell me one thing. What would you do to insure your survival?"

Vincent was a little surprised to find he was no longer alone, even more so by the fact that the stranger was answering his question, he never made a move to stop him from taking a Cigarette and just sat and listened to him talk. The prison jump suit he wore confused him, if the guy had done time why would he broadcast it? It wasn't exactly something to be proud of, but the guy must have his reasons and he wasn't going to question them. The more he talked the more he understood that what he was saying was true, anything anyone ever does is for there own sake and the sake of there kin, it was necessary he knew this, but it still irritated him.
"Keeping all this in mind, tell me one thing. What would you do to insure your survival?"
A good question, one he wasn't obliged to answer but still he found himself thinking on it as he smoked his Cigarette. In both this school and his previous one he always found himself surrounded by people who wanted to fight for one reason or another, he survived by hiding and ignoring the problem, but when that didn't work he would fight, sometimes he would win and others he would lose. He survived his own way by keeping to himself and avoiding others when he could, these people survive by proving themselves stronger than others. Two very different ways of survival, but which was better?
“Anything” Was his simple reply, the same answer was true for most people, he would fight, steal and kill to maintain his own existence.

After his question had been asked, Conner turned back to the sky. He leaned against the bars of the roof, a small smirk rising to his lips as timed passed. The desired effect was working. Conner had no idea what Vincent's original question was referring to, but just like the kind of verbal judo used on him, Conner was able to shape it into something he could use. Finally the answer came, Conner's smirk widening before dissipating altogether.
"Good." He stated plainly, turning his head back to Vincent. "That makes this next part easier. You see, there's going to be some shake ups here at Hircine High. Now I bet I know what you're thinking. How many times has a student walked out on this roof, or any other damned place in this school claiming things were going to change, and then they didn't? You're probably wondering what the difference between myself and any of them would be." Conner pushed himself off the railing, standing fully straight up, showing how much larger he was in comparison to Vincent. It was an intimidation factor, though in this case used to prove a point rather than freak him out.
"Look at me. You know there's a difference. You know I'm someone who gets things done. So now you're left with a decision, are you going to stand by me, by us. This...is that chance to do anything to insure your survival. You won't get another one."

This was interesting, he came here to get some peace and quiet and someone ends up trying to recruit him, it was true he was kind of sceptical of whether or not the boy in the orange jump suit could do what he claimed, but for now his attention was caught. The whole thing interested him greatly, he was tired of how things were at this school, he was tired of all the senseless violence this school pulling him into, he did not care about what happened to the other students, they could destroy each other for all he cared, but when it starts to pull him in like it has recently then he really has no choice but to act.
By the time he was done talking the boy was towering over him, he was indeed an imposing figure but Vincent was not one to be intimidated, still he was interested in the offer. Of course he would need more information if he was going to join him or them by the sound of things, it was just a question of who they were. Vincent flicked away his used Cigarette and replaced it with a fresh one before lighting it with his Zippo, he took one good drag of it before inhaling and looking up at the guy.
“Sounds interesting” He said keeping his bored expression, “But I'm gonna need a little more info before i make any decisions, your name would be a start”. As he spoke Vincent stood up picking his Leather jacket and Cigarettes off the ground before pulling his jacket on and pocketing his cigs.

Conner snickered, unhappy with this reaction regardless to the fact he expected it. The pyro couldn't be blamed of course, for Conner had done the exact same thing when it came to him. But that didn't mean it wasn't a pain in the ass.
"I'm Conner, sometimes referred to as the Bonecracker. Soon referred as somethin else entirely." Conner added vaguely, shrugging his shoulders before continuing.
"As for any other information, its unavailable at this time. Between what I don't know myself, and how much you need to be informed right now is close to nothing. After all, you haven't proved yourself even worthy here. The only information you need to know right now is that it insures your survival. If that's not a big enough bone to chew on for you then too fucking bad." Conner glared, his agitation showing before he took a deep breath and brought his gaze back.
"It's not like I can tell you what's up without your assurance, I'm sure you get that. But hey, its up to you. What would you rather do, preserve or rot?"

'Touchy this one' Thought Vincent dully as Conner finished talking, It was understandable that he would need an answer before any information was given out. But for some reason Vincent couldn't shake the feeling that Conner was attempting to manipulate him, it could just be paranoia but he was never one to jump into bed with people he just met.
Shaking his head Vincent walked past Conner heading for the door, “Thanks but no thanks, good luck though” He said coldly as he made his way to the door. He wanted change and Conner may have bean the best way to get it, or it could be the best way to get himself killed, He would never know and in five minuets he would no longer care. But still if Conner did go through with his plan it would be interesting to watch but he wasn't going to hold his breath.

You just made the biggest mistake of your life...
Conner frowned, showing no other emotions as Vincent walked past him, disregarding his offer. It was too bad, Conner had specific ideas for him, but in the end this proved to be nothing but one big dissapointment. The second Vincent had entered the doorway, Conner burst into motion.
He instantly pivoted, taking one large bound towards the direction of the smaller pyromaniac. He extended his left hand, gripping upon the hair of the student who wouldn't see it coming due to making the mistake of turning his back to him. Conner would then jerk back suddenly, throwing him off balance as he threw his right forward in an elbow strike to the back of his head, which would knock him unconcious upon impact. In a split second, Vincent would be attacked and falling down the stairs, unable to hear even as Conner spat his only verbal response.
"Wrong choice."
