Felix had spent his last few weeks at Hircine in a fog, or rather a slight haze. He hadn't talked to any of his friends in a few weeks, much less see either of them even in passing. And so he sat there in the cafeteria, on the far end of a table, alone and looking down at a single slice of pizza with distaste. Although he was hungry, his thoughts were still on other things.
Most notably, was that he hadn't truly seen anyone he recognized in a while, which was most likely his fault. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more he was convinced it was his fault. He shrugged it off and picked up his slice, taking a rather large chunk out of it and then dropping it back onto his plate, rather satisfied with the quality.
He held his head level and his eyes darted to numerous people, loud bursts of sound and movement caught his attention, and yet he knew none of the people. 'And yet, I keep hearing these rumors. Tidbits of information leaking through cracks, and none of it makes sense. To me at any rate.' When he was through thinking, he blinked twice, his gaze on his soda can. "Watchers, or in my term, the goon squad, are being openly confronted more and more, with little success. Like pinging pebbles against a large sheet of paper. Not a lot of damage, but something to be noticed when looked at closely." He noticed two heads turn to look at him from the other end of the table he sat at and returned the stare. 'Well will people learn that staring is rude.' He scowled and turned away, popping his can of soda open and sipping some, then grabbing another bite of his slice of pizza.
'So overall, things slowed down and then sped right back up, but then halted again. And I haven't really done anything about it.' If he was honest with himself, Felix would rather not get involved. It was his personal goal to finally answer to no one here, and to not join any gang, no matter there purpose. 'If people are going to challenge the system though, I mean, why create that much of a disturbance? Again?' He brought his hand up to hold his head, grabbing the slice of pizza with his left hand and taking another bite. 'I'd probably help, well, the system. As crazy as it sounds.' He smiled, finishing off another bite and setting his pizza down. Then he laughed, loud and wild. Not only at his decision, but at the fact that not more than two years ago he was almost fighting to tear a similar one down.
