"Perhaps I have caught on to some of your tactics and absorbed them. Then again, the use of fear all depends on its uses, and I'm sure my methods so far have been far from what you've always kept to."
Zeniro picked up on a note of change in the voice of Leon. A change that only occured after the arrival on one Stern Mason. It is often said a dog can sense fear in a human being. Zeniro in many ways was closer to this animal than any other when it came to mannerisms. Others may have missed it, Zeniro did not. And he relished in it. Although he may not have caused such a change in Leon...he still fed off the feeling and took great pleasure in someone elses clear discomfort. Although those words were the same words Leon spoke and there was an attempt to mask the....fear....in his tone. Zeniro had sniffed it out and he turned now to face Leon. A twisted grin on his lips revealing oddly sharp canine teeth. Zeniro looked toward the balling fists of Leon...stress...anger...anxiety?
'Though I would like you to stop Zeniro, you know how I like to avoid scenes that I don't plan out. You don't want to spoil your appetite anyway, this time things will be much more hands on.'
These words spoken earlier by Stern were the only thing that kept Zeniro from acting on his instincits. Although he had a strong desire to place a greater weight on the tension that was already in the air. He was quite happy to let this oppertunity for mass violence to pass. Stern had always kept his promises to Zeniro. Zeniro likewise had always remained loyal to the word of Stern Mason. Instead of acting on his desire to speak out, he simply remained silent. His dark predatory gaze no longer locked on Leon but examining the crowd, taking a mental note of the faces that surrounded him.
"Stern, I highly recommend you taking leave of this cafeteria. I can't see anything for you to gain here if you supposedly have no intention of destroying me or Kyukaku, and you'd only bring unwanted attention to yourself by Blayne if you adopt attention. We do not have the time nor the patience for your presence, so if you would go now, it'd be very intelligent."
Zeniro stood deathly still, his large muscular frame seemed coiled like a spring at the point of release. All that potential energy just waiting to be unleashed. Zeniro would wait for Stern's answer.

Stern paused for a moment after Leon spoke, as though he were thinking. He wasn't really, he was probably doing what would be best described as savoring the moment. Leon was a good source of entertainment. The fear in his countenance, the anger and stress in his voice, and the subtle desperation in getting Stern away.
Stern was, and most likely the only person with the sheer audacity, to enjoy the emotional state of Zeniro for his own benefit. The sheer tension off his being was amazing, as well as the will keeping in in check. Bloodlust would eventually win, as it boiled in Zeniros rejection, but Stern knew they would be gone before that happened. Indeed, they were causing a similar amount of tension in every soul in the room.
Stern loved having an effect on people, and this sort of situation was heaven for him.
"I doubt Blayne would openly voice any rejection for my actions here, causing a source of violence to stop by none violent means. Then again he knows a few things you don't, but I doubt the public would believe them....afterall, the ones who hate me tend to be the ones this schools hates."
Stern spoke the truth though, the ones in Varron who detested him the most were the former and current gang members. He had swallowed up many of them just for their sheer numbers, controlled them for his own ends. It was even his own stealing of the Hands members that played a part in their little attack in the past...of course Stern stole the few members who actually had enough talent to accomplish what Kvist wanted.
Stern was glad he wouldn't have to play with him anymore, as he was doomed in this environment.
"While your wrong, I could still gain the pleasure of your company and a hot meal, I actually do have a rather busy day ahead of me...you know how I like to have a hand in everything. Come on Zeniro, lets go gather the rest of them."
Stern turned and began to walk out, but quickly stopped, as though something suddenly hooked him in place. It was a whim of sorts, but Stern felt he might enjoy the coming events more if he could go ahead and act on it. Being more hands actually meant Stern would be able to enjoy himself more this time.
"Fear is a useful tool Leon, but as you probably know it is best suited for stopping action rather than motivating. Perhaps you should try a different method for what your trying....if you don't, I certainly will."

Slowly, she exiled herself from the group slowly, as Melysa got hold of her senses again. She took a mental picture of every one of them, backing away from the scene. Mel's mind slowly began to focus on what she would do after school, and before she knew it, Melysa was walking the halls of Hiricine once again, staying awat from trouble.

OOC: Ack! Leaving the thread already Mel? Fine, I'll catch up with you later.
IC: "Nice piece of advice Mason, perhaps I'll absorb that as well." Leon Loire reacted coldly, his eyes set darkly on Stern's back without any real sort of focus. The fact of Stern's involvement in Hircine High's situation was a clear promise for things to get worse, and if he had Zeniro alongside him, Leon knew things would get worse.
Waiting to speak again until after Stern and Zeniro were out of sight, Leon found himself snarling, his left hand running up his forehead as the sweat of fear and concern trailed from his temples. Turning to look at Kyukaku, Leon breathed in deeply and exhaled rather loudly, before finally venting out his frustrations, "Great, just great!"
Standing in a rather slumped position for several more seconds, Leon tried to calm himself, before finally cracking his neck of bother and strove toward Tyler. Standing about five feet from his fellow, Leon prepared to speak with him regarding the situation; rumors had held that Zeniro had fought Tyler once, and it seemed his cautious tactics toward the beast were proof enough. However, before allowing Kyukaku to react to Loire, Leon found himself glancing back to where he left Melysa Rouleau to find her gone.
"Damnit," Leon murmured, "I don't know what's wrong with her, but something's up. Now I need to find out why she's acting so quiet and figure out why Stern just so happens to show up today. God!"
Breathing in lightly, Leon turns his sight to his friend again, hoping to see some sort of explanation in him, "Any ideas Tyler? Because honestly, I'm too blurred right now to think. Period."

(OOC: I uh, think its my turn.)
Gather the rest of them?
Kyukaku's mind raced, trying to pick out the faces of those he knew to have been associated with Stern and whom possessed the trademarked I card. The meaning of the "I" was completely lost on him, but he knew it was a symbol for Stern's associates. He had been there when it was passed out to...
Adam. God dammit. He's dangerous as a loose cannon, but when he's pointed in the right direction he can be just as bad as Zeniro if he wants to be. Aryck. Is he here? Can't forget about that Jeet Kune Do practioner that broke my arm. With Adam's help.
"Dammit!" Kyukaku breathed out heavily, kicking over a chair in frustration. He looked over to his friend, witnessing Leon's own frustration surfacing. Leon started to speak about some woman, causing Kyu to raise his brow in complete confusion. He hadn't seen any woman besides the one with the phone in the vicinity, and Kyu really doubted thats whom Leon was referring to.
"Well I dont know who she is, or what you're talking about, but I got somewhere to start with Stern situation." Kyukaku sighed, turning fully to face Leon as he continued.
"He said he was going to collect the others. That means there's a good chance of him finding Adam today, and that ball of sunshine happens to be my roommate. Tonight I'll try and talk to him about it. Honestly though, don't expect me to get too much out of it. Last time I had questions he choked me out while Aryck broke my arm. Good first week of school no?" Kyukaku gave off a tired smile at the end, beginning to feel the stress that felt all too familiar of what it was like in Varron.
"I'll look into this for now, you worry about your girlfriend."

Charlotte closed her cell phone, slipping it back into her pocket carefully, and listened intently to the conversation, namely this Stern fellow. From the moment he had opened his mouth, something in his tone had struck a tone in her mind, like a splinter, working aroundand around furiously while she prodded helplessly, trying to drag it from the wound. Everything about Stern - his stance, his voice, his look, even his aura - was organised, coldly intelligent, and utterly terrifying.
More terrifying, however, was the fact that Zeniro the animal, Zeniro the beast, Zeniro the psycotic monstrosity, had listened intently to Stern's every word, and obeyed every word expressly. He had even made a suggestion towards Stern's own safety. He was like a dog, obeying his vastly superior minded leader. Or owner.
Then the boy her age, the one who had been fighting Zeniro, mentioned someone named Adam, who had apparantly given a broken arm to the student (Kyukaku). She ignored the splinter, deadening her gaze upon Stern, thinking furiously. It didn't take long for her to realize that Stern was a leader, he was powerful, he was a genious, and most of all, he had a plan. What that plan was, though it remained a mystery, she knew that with people like Zeniro as his henchmen, it couldn't be good for the school.
She turned, mind still working furious cogwheels, and she saw Leon, breathing hard, his body veritably vibrating with what she could only assume was fear. Fear of Stern.
Leon. Great Leon, whom she, though a Hircinian and widly opposed to his beliefs about the system and had not had really much contact with, respected above nearly all others, reduced to a regular, ordinary, fearful student. Leon, whom she had watched direct the Varronites at the riot, whom she had watched stand toe-to-toe with Tiao, another whom she had managed a measure of respect for. Leon, who she very nearly idolized for his steadfast commitment to his ideal, his drive and resolve, his leadership. Leon Loire - the great Leon Loire - finally afraid of someone.
The thought alone was more unsettling than Stern himself.
She listened from a distance to what the boy who had fought Zeniro was saying, then she moved up closer to Leon, not finding herself dwarfed by his aura of command, as she had expected, but feeling his radiating concern and worry. She reached foward, tenitavely at first, unsure, but then grabbed his forearm gently, but noticably, drawing herself beside him and looking towards him.
"Hey," Charlotte said to him, "whoever this Stern is, and whatever he has planned, I don't think he can handle Leon Loire. But right now I don't see Leon Loire, I see someone who's afraid."
God I hate it when I make speeches, she thought mildly to herself as she came to the realization that she was springing forth on a wild tangent. But speeches had the strange effect of calming her, after all.
"The Leon Loire who led the Varronites during the riot, the Leon Loire who wasn't afraid to face down the entire school system shouldn't be afraid of someone like Stern. The Leon Loire I've seen and heard about is a leader. Possibly the best leader I've ever witnessed at this school ... even better than Kurtz or Darren. I think everyone could use the inspiration from Leon right now, especially yourself." she finished, looking Leon directly in the eyes as she spoke to him, quickly withdrawing her hand from his arm and letting it fall against her side.

((OOC: Short post, but really Laoch doesn't have enough knowledge of anyone or the situation in IC for him to do anything.))
Laoch was not ready for such a battle as this. Laoch knew that there was feints within feints at the moment. Others could sense the tension in the air which could bring about a physical fight. Yet the same person would hear the words and might consider it to be a battle of words. It was neither of them, it was an old battle, based on old fears. A battle of adversaries who have faced off before, it was a quiet thing. A battle of fear is the most deadly battle one could ever participate in. Fear could destroy someone even before a battle of words or of physical prowess ever began. A battle which to Laoch's knowledge he had already lost. These guys were definitely not Hircinians, no such Hircinian had ever made Laoch feel as helpless as he is right now.
Laoch continued observing, but he slowly eased himself down to a more relaxing position. In truth there is nothing I can do, I know nothing of them, or their prior conflicts. Perhaps its best I leave, no good would come of it, if I fight now. Yet, this moment shows that these guys who, I believe are Varronites are divided. Let them beat on each other and we won't have to worry about them, Laoch thought to himself. Laoch slowly withdrew his hulking figure from the scene and walked slowly out of the cafeteria, keeping an eye on all those gathered, trying to remember faces. Laoch knew that he would most likely see them again and it would probably be in not very good circumstances.

'Rydell joining Mason? Tyler shares a dorm with him? Claiming I've got a girlfriend? What the hell, too many random things at once!'
Leon looked back at Tyler with a surprised, almost overwhelmed gaze. Of all the times to be bringing up embarrassing claims. Still, what exactly did Leon think of Melysa? That question, in all honesty, wasn't exactly certain.
"She's not... huh?" Leon began in a defensive explanation toward Kyukaku, before finding his arm being squeezed by a tender feminine grip. Turned toward his right slightly, Leon found a strange surprise: the girl from the riot earlier that week who had been striking down Varronites left and right now stood before him, her gaze far from the fiery glare it had seemingly been a week ago. Her lips spoke words of actual confidence toward Leon, speaking of how he could stand up against Stern and everything he stood for, as long as he acted not as his fearful self, but as the image he had built upon.
Upon the image...
In truth, Leon had forgotten the very source of his strength over the past two years: the very fact that, while he considered his old self "dead," his new identity had never truly been a real person either. Leon Loire had evolved into a physical presentation of Liberty and Individualism. Over time, his lack of a real identity forced "Alex Thompson" to become "Leon Loire," the young, boisterous advocate that supposedly inspired and led. He became that figure happily, forgetting his old self, and in the process forgetting his own mental, biological and emotional needs and desires. After the transition to Hircine High, he had been given a chance to return to such things, and the affect of again looking to having a "normal" life had dulled the resilience of the image of Leon Loire.
He had forgotten to be the image... he had forgotten to be what he made himself to be...
Leon Loire felt himself smile lightly at the girl as her arm fell toward her side, and a simple nod was all that the amazed Senior could handle. The girl had claimed much about him... it was alot to live up to.
He had every intention to fulfill what she thought of him.
Breathing in deeply and sighing forth, Leon closed his eyes for a moment, allowing the darkness of thought to blanket his conscious, before breathing inward, then turning toward his friend Kyukaku again.
"One, she's not my girlfriend, simple. Second, you've got a lot of explaining to do regarding Adam Rydell, but we'll worry about that later. I think you're right, it's best you confront him and ask him what's up later tonight, but until then I recommend we both head out and keep our leads low. Stern probably won't do so well with recruitments to first go round, and we need to figure out how to reply accordingly if we so choose."
'We may just leave Stern as a nuisance in Darren's side for a while... this arrival of Mason may prove more advantageous than I first thought...'
Nodding his goodbye to Kyukaku, Leon turned his gaze to the younger woman and sighed again, smiling a little brighter, before whispering lightly to her, "Thank you. I guess even leaders need a pick me up at times, huh?"
Dropping his shoulders slightly at the nostalgia that filled his chest, Leon nodded again, tapping his left hand against the girl's shoulder as he left her be for now, strolling forth toward the opposing end of the cafeteria - where he had entered, and now wished to exit.
'I'll find Melysa later. Right now, I need to do some strategic mapping...'
Without another look back, Leon Loire paced forth to a new goal. He had been reminded of what he was - he was a person indeed, but one that - until his goals were complete - was required to live out an existence of servitude to those he wished to aid. He had to be a leader, not because he chose to, but because he was built to.
So Leon Loire, the leader, strolled forward, onward to discover how to settle the ultimate question.
How to bring peace...

(OOC: Well its a good one to reference to later Laoch, got to start somewhere. ) For as much as Leon carried the world on his shoulders, it was funny to his good friend to see how quickly it was replaced by normal teenage angst and embarassment. A brief mention of a girlfriend and he became all defensive, or more accurately would of if he hadn't been engulfed by the girl with the phone. Kyu cocked his head as he listened to the words from the girl he previously thought had strong ties to the Hircine hiearchy due to the mention of Tiao on speed dial. She was lifting Leon's spirits, and by lifting his spirits, she would start the tide of lifting the spirits of the Varron population as a whole. Maybe she isn't as loyal to the pillars as I assumed. Got to remember that later...As she finished, Leon gave her a solemn nod before turning back to Kyukaku, finishing his rebuke. The mentioning of the girlfriend statement had caused Kyu's bemused smirk to turn into a wild grin before settling back on the matters at hand. "I can't make any promises. You know me, I hate to work from behind the scenes. But I will try to try and stay out of trouble for the moment." Kyu smirked again, leaning to the side to look over the shoulder of Leon where Charlotte stood behind him. "Liked the pep talk." Turning on his heels Kyu pivoted and began to head in the direction of his lover's locker. Hopefully he could find her and convince her to skip for the rest of the day. Knowing her, she'd instantly agree as she was the rebellious one in the relationship, not the "goody-goody" Kyu was. By skipping class with Audrey he wouldn't be tempted to get in the way of Stern as of yet. Maybe the best way of staying out of trouble would be to get into some after all.

Charlotte felt a feeling akin to pride swelling in her as she watched Leon react to her speech, first with mild surprise, then, with a deep conviction and a moment of collection, she watched him transform back into the Leon Loire she very nearly admired.
She stood stock still, listening to him speak, then her turned, whuspering lightly to her as he turned to leave: "Thank you. I guess even leaders need a pick me up at times, huh?"
He tapped her lightly on the shoulder and Charlotte felt a momentary rush of something nearly inexplicable, but for a moment, to felt like ... freedom? Maybe Leon's impressive persona, now revitalized, was affecting her more than she realized.
She managed a dull smile as Tyler spoke: "Liked the pep talk.", and watched both he and Leon leave the cafeteria. She stood there a moment, basking in the strange glow before she returned to her seat, hoping to finish her salad in peace for the rest of lunch.
