(OOC: Continued from this thread if anyone is curious.) It had been quite the exciting walk out to Pain Killer's car and the ride over to Kazuki's new club. The two of them hadn't uttered much beside the occasional direction from Kyukaku and the grunt in reply from Adam. He wasn't sure why Adam was in such a hurry to get over and see Kazuki so quickly. There was the possibility that he wanted to visit an old friend after finding out he's still alive, but knowing Pain Killer it probably wasn't. Chances were Pain Killer wanted what he always did, a fight. Kyu had to come along. He hadn't let Taiku know he was here yet himself, and it might be nice to give the man a headsup that Adam knew. Still, Kyu could only imagine it wouldn't be the best greeting possible showing up like this. Oh, hey Taiku. Yeah I just got here, and I accidently tipped off Pain Killer that you are alive... so how are you!?Before too long they would arrive outside the new place, Kyu instantly notcing the name Club Legion. It seemed Legion wasn't dead, at least not fully. Kyu felt a sting of sadness for those that died at The Edge's firebombing, reminding Kyu once more that Trent could be anywhere, and if Kvist was here he might not be far behind. As soon as Adam parked, Kyu would unbuckle his seatbelt and get out of the car, confident that Adam would move towards the front door as well. He entered, hearing the sound of music mixed with the chatter of patrons. Already the business was booming, in just a few weeks it had people coming and going, Taiku once again surely making boatloads of cash. Kyukaku looked around the room, looking for someone in professional attire not seated or carrying food and drinks. When he spotted one, he walked over to her, tapping her softly on the shoulder before speaking. "Excuse me, is Mr. Akimoto in?"

Easy now. Keep your cool, no need to get hasty. There's plenty of time...
Adam was glad that Kyukaku seemed hesitant to talk, his concentration was mainly focused on forcing himself to relax. In what might have been seen as out of character for the self proclaimed Pain Killer, he wasn't driven to find Taiku out of anger. Not this time. While he had been known to hold a grudge for much longer than this, other thoughts had begun squirming into his mind, twisting and changing some of his plans that had formed previously, creating something new entirely. Taking a deep breath, Adam released his grip on the steering wheel and stepped out from the car, his eyes catching sight of Kyukaku's glance towards the name of the club.
Club Legion?
There was no recognition of the name in his mind, and after the first moment of interest, Adam simply passed the thought off as unimportant. He'd never dealt with a Legion member once the gang was formed in Varron, and as such, had no knowledge of the firebombing or gang wars before he'd been shipped off to San Francisco. Scowling, he shoved his gloved hands into the pockets of his trenchcoat and followed Kyu inside, noticing the crowds. His hands began to clench and unfurl in steady intervals, the mass of people in one spot clearly unnerving him, though he did his best to hide it. His tension made him stick close to the only familiar thinghe knew, which sadly enough, was the one who'd directed him here. As such, Pain Killer would follow Kyukaku much more closely than he would have liked, though not close enough to be overly suspiscious. Once Kyu was done talking to the girl, Adam would in turn tap him on the shoulder to get his attention.
"If you're lying to me, and this is some big joke, let me make myself clear. I'll rip your throat out with my own two hands."
It was vaguely reminiscient of the same threat he'd given Kyukaku regarding his sister, and the connection in his mind made Adam that much more serious once he realized it. Whether Kyukaku would take the threat seriously would be up to him.

"I assure you, if anyone will be ripping throats out, it'll be me..."
Approaching the two, he had caught the last snippet of their conversation as he stepped through from the back. The waitress who had slipped through to his office had informed him of two young males lingering around waiting for him in the main area of the club, and with little to do but sit around he had closed over his paperwork and made his way out...
Before him stood one person he was surprisingly glad to see, and with a polite nod in Tylers direction he turned to the other male who was with him...
"Him I expected to show up, but would you mind telling me who you are?"
Without disrespect, Taiku had little knowledge or memory of the other guy who had shown up with Tyler, and folding his arms over his chest he waited quietly for him to introduce himself, make his presence valid.....

(OOC: Short posts breed short posts. Oh No!)
"Yeah, sure."
Kyukaku blew off Pain Killer's threat, turning his glance to back rooms. It wasn't that he didn't believe Adam was sincere about attacking him, but he had no need to worry about it. If he was lying he would of had to defend himself, but Kyu knew he wasn't lying and therefore paid no second thought to the threat.
Soon, Taiku made his way out of the office. With a nod in the direction of Kyu, he began to make his way over to the pair. Kyukaku nodded in response, a smile of his own making it onto his face. He knew Adam yes, but Taiku was an actual friend of his and he was happy to see one of those again.
Taiku didn't seem to remember Adam, assuming Adam wanted to see him on more than just reputation. Kyukaku looked to Adam, waiting for the man to speak. He was a big boy, and Kyu would let him speak for himself with no interruptions from him.

OOC: Then I'll break that vicious cycle. IC: While Adam may have eventually thought of a snappy come back to Kyukaku's apathetic response, his mindset was quickly diverted by the newest arrival. His eyes narrowed, the frown deepening on the self proclaimed Pain Killer's face as he turned his body to face Taiku fully, taking in his appearence for the first time in what felt like ages. The hair was shorter, and there were other subtle differences, enough that unless he had been specifically looking at him, Adam would never have known that Taiku Akimoto was formerly Kazuki Shinato. As the older man gave his admission, Pain Killer could only clench his hands in frustration, willing himself to calm down once again. If there was one thing that drove him nuts, it was not being given the respect he felt he deserved. He simply stood silent for a moment, staring back at Taiku, ignoring Kyukaku for now, his hands raising slightly to cross his arms in front of him before realizing that Taiku had already done so. Sighing, Adam pushed them back in his pockets, not wanting to follow the older man's lead. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised, as the one time we met, it didn't last that long. To make a long story short, you interrupted a fight of mine, and handed me my first loss in Varron. Not bad, for someone who's supposedly dead." As a matter of fact, it seemed Taiku was doing very well for himself, before and after his identity change, something that made Pain Killer somewhat jealous. Rich bastard... As far as he was concerned, Taiku was simply luckier than Adam. No other reason was acceptable, his pride wouldn't allow the idea that someone had worked harder and succeeded where Adam had failed. Just more incentive, I suppose..."Don't get me wrong, whatever your reason for your... rebirth... it just doesn't matter to me. I don't want to hold it over your head, and I don't even want to hear it. The fact is, I came here for only one reason, and that's to fight you, and win." Adam's hands withdrew from his pockets and fell to his sides, wearing the same fingerless gloves that he refused to take off since battling his incestual brother in Varron. While he wasn't eager to start swinging in a club filled with bouncers and the like, there was no harm in being prepared. After all, last time, Kazuki had attacked with little warning, who was to say he wouldn't after being threatened? Nevertheless, Pain Killer had one last thing to add, before waiting to see if Taiku would accept his challenge. "You don't need to know why I want this, and if you're the type who needs a reason to fight, I'm sure I could find some way to piss you off. Fact is, at some point, this will happen, and if you have some place you'd rather do it other than the middle of your club, then I'm all for it." His hands clenched into fists one last time, cracking the knuckles before relaxing once more. This is it. I will justify my existence, one legend at a time...

ooc: Muuuuch better, now I can write a big-boy post! ^^
ic:
Restraining the faint, barely noticable twitch of his face as he caught the apprehensive act made by the older of the two, he gave a polite smile to Adam. The clench of his fists, a subtle gesture perhaps, was something that over the years he had learned to pick out from a person. Trust was not a lightly granted opportunity by him anymore, few people made it into the Edge to speak with him in person in the later months before the incident, and such a frame of mind was not lost on him here.
"I'm guessing that since you know I'm here, Tyler must have slipped up somewhere...Well, I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later, but that worries me little. This is my dominion, a neutral place for anyone who chooses to step within my establishment free from violence or such troublesome things. You say I interrupted a fight of yours, the problem is I interrupted many a fight back in the day, I tended to win most of them as well, so I figure you need to explain who you are a little bit more....."
The sharpness in his eyes was deceiving at best, an untelling expression that bored into another and tried to read them as well he could, but one thing stood out in Adams presence. He was not here to talk, few people would speak to him in such a manner if that were the case, so it was already apparent that he had coerced Tyler to bring him here for one thing.
"You came all the way down here to fight, that's it? I daresay I have to question your mentality a moment, because right now you've just openly challenged me in a place where with but a click of my fingers, you would be nothing more than food for the crows. All the stories about how The Edge was run, you'll find them to be the same here in Legion..."
Watching with a barely hidden smirk on his face as Adam brought his hands out in a slightly more prepared poise, he shook his head slowly at the final addition he made, something of an attempt to convince him to fight. Chuckling softly, he unfolded his arms and slipped his hands into his pockets with an idle response, his eyes never leaving Adams.
"Should I need a reason to fight, what do you think you could possibly do to me? I mean really, did you think this through or just decided to march right in, challenging me and thinking I'd outright accept? Are you some kind of fucking idiot?"
The aggression in his tone jumping a notch or two at the end, he calmed himself quickly and glanced over to Tyler a moment, smiling lightly and turning his body a little, gesturing with an arm to the door he had entered the main floor from.
"If you don't mind Tyler, could you go and let Rene know that the doormen are to stand down regardless of the outcome of this? I know she'll be watching from the office. Straight through the doors and take the stairs at the end of the hall, then back along to the far door. It overlooks the main floor. I'd appreciate it, and I'm sure she'll be glad to see you as well...."
Glancing back at Adam, he smiled lightly and shrugged his shoulders, "Well, since changing your mind seems outright impossible, I guess I'll humour you. The main floor is large enough if you'd rather just fight here, or would you care to step outside?"
Maintaining the calm expression he had shown Tyler, he remained watching Adam and spoke in a light, relaxed tone...If this was how such reunions were to be, then he would break them down, one by one, he would send them from Legion on stretchers...

Kyu breathed out slowly out the small hole of his mouth as he shoved his hands in his pockets, brow raising as he looked to the ceiling. Adam just openly challenged Taiku, and if that wasn't enough he predicted that he would win.
"Yeah, that was my bad..." Kyu glanced to Taiku, taking a half step away as he turned his eye away from the scene.
As the two conversed Kyu began to look around the club, noticing all the looks and attention the scene was getting. He met eyes with a business man who gave him a look as if saying What the fuck do you think you're doing? In response, Kyu smiled nervously and gave him a quick wave, turning his gaze to other parts of the room. Doing his best to avoid any other eye contact from the patrons of Club Legion; Kyu shifted his gaze to the back room, quickly looking back to Taiku as his attention was called back to his words.
"Sure." Kyu said simply, nodding back to Taiku before proceding behind him in the directions he had given.
Rene...I haven't seen her since the night of the firebomb, and that was only from a distance watching her getting patched up. Wonder how she's been.
Kyukaku glanced over his shoulder, seeing that two were still standing and exchanging what would probably be the last words before the action started. Kyu trudged up to the office door, knocking sharply twice before opening the door himself. "Hey, Rene." Kyu said with a small wave with his left hand, pulling the door closed behind him with his right.
"I don't know if you've seen anything or not but down there," Kyu paused, pointing out towards the main floor before contiuing. "But Taiku is about to beat up a student. All doormen are to stand down no matter what, and I'm assuming that means you too." Kyu said with a wink, knowing full well how much Rene hated when Taiku was in any danger at all.
"Oh, and how have you been? You look well." Kyu asked sincerely, cutting her off before she could reply as of yet.

Pain Killer's expression darkened slightly, though he was taken aback by the sudden outburst of emotion from Taiku. He knew he was somewhat... slower than most, but didn't like being reminded of this fact regardless. After all, he simply assumed everyone played by the same rules he did, not wanting to hide behind others to do their fighting for them in the typical cowardly fashion. Thankfully for the oversized Senior student, it seemed that Kazuki was content with honouring his request.
"That's right, Kyu. Move along, the grownups need to have their talk."
Adam's gaze never left the former Legion leader, though his words were surprisingly lighthearted, given how Pain Killer usually spoke to his newfound roommate. His right hand rose to his brow, pushing the hair out of his eyes in a futile gesture, as it simply fell right back into place, a habit he never seemed to grow out of.
"Here should do nicely. The more people who see my victory, the better. And since you seem to have forgotten all about me, the name's Adam Rydell. Don't forget this time."
His remaining hand pulled out of its pocket, his arms moving at a leisurely pace to remove the trenchcoat currently worn, revealing the black muscle shirt underneath. It made for some pretty cold winters, but muscle shirts were the only clothes Pain Killer had ever bought, his attitude being that the extra fabric was unneccessary. He draped the coat over his shoulder, his right hand holding keeping it from sliding off, his left hand extending in front of him to point at Taiku.
"You know, you disappoint me. Here I thought you felt the same thrill in fighting, proving yourself to be better than the punk who challenged you. Instead, all I see is a 'legend' who's grown soft with all his money. You're not hungry anymore. Not like the new generation."
The extended arm bent at the elbow, the index finger curling in as Adam thumbed towards his chest, indicating exactly who he meant. His chin lifted somewhat, his head tilted to the side as his arrogance manifested itself on his face, taking on the form of a superiour smirk.
"Not like me. I'm the one who's gonna put you on the shelf, old man. A painful reminder of what you used to be, or could've been. The final nail in the coffin, whatever you want to call it. The fact remains, I'm going to bury you, and make sure the casket stays closed this time."
Inwardly, Adam was proud of his little monologue, his left hand dropping down to his side once more. It was the first time his thoughts had been so clearly conveyed in a while, usually he would run in circles before getting to the point. His gaze travelled away from Taiku for the moment, taking in the scenery, so as to familiarize himself with the potential arena. An audience is good, but there's a point where there's simply too many... His eyes returned to Kazuki, staring at him for a moment before he spoke again.
"Gonna have your staff move the people over? Or is there another room you want to do this in, where you can pretend that your inevitable defeat never happened?"

"Watch your tongue when you speak to people like that then, Adam. You never know who might rip it clean from your mouth..."
The icy tone his words gained as the youth appeared to increase both his attitude and his ego would be clearly noticed, and Taiku brought his arms up to fold them over his chest in a slow, patient gesture. Raising an eyebrow at the kids somewhat odd choice of attire, he rolled his eyes and slipped the light jacket that he wore off, tossing it aside to land on the bar-top near him before stretching his arms out in front of him. He paid little heed to the words of the cocky youth, speaking as if he knew him...
"I disappoint you, do I? Personally I find that a shame. You see, whilst you see it as I've lost my edge, my lust for the battle, you simply compare me to you. I've chosen over the last few years to begin to settle down, but needless to say, little stains like you always show up. They demand a chance to prove themself, to see if they could beat the fighter I once was, but the irony is, win or lose, they could never get what they wished. I am no longer what you might have imagined me to be, Adam, but I assure you...."
Clenching his fists tightly, the knuckles cracking with sharp, dry pops as he paused in his words, sighing slowly and taking a calm, deep breath, he brought his head back down from its tilted back position to lock his eyes back on with those of Adams...
"...If you underestimate me, it will be the biggest mistake you make."
Unfazed and somewhat uninterested by either monologue, Taiku spoke with a matter-of-fact tone. Adams words were of no hindrance to him. Plenty of fighters could try and trash-talk, big themselves up to intimidate people, but he was not one to -in quite blunt terms- give a shit. The more someone spent talking, the more he could size them up, get a feel for them. So far he had made considerable decisions about this one, but something niggled at his brain, as if he were being poked with a stick...
'Rydell....Why the hell do I know that name.......?'
When he was remarked about having the crowd moved, he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head... "Make your mind up. You want an audience, you don't want one, which will it be?"
'Dammit, you know that name, who the hell was it.....? Trevor...Brett...Brent- Wait....'
Glancing over at Adam once more, taking something of a longer gaze at him to take in his appearance as opposed to his form, the pieces fell together slowly as he shifted slightly, his arms still by his sides as he waited for Adam to do something instead of standing there and attempting to lecture him into submission...However, at the same time, his mind was suddenly adding things together at breakneck speed.
'No way, this is that pissants brother? This is the brother of the guy responsible for what happened to Tyler, and Dains sister? Oh, this is going to be so much more fun than I thought....'

"Well, what I meant was, an audience is all well and good, but having to push someone out of the way in order to stomp on your lifeless body isn't exactly convenient. But whatever, I'll work with it."
Pain Killer released his coat, allowing the black leather to slide down his back and fall on the floor behind him. His eyes never left Taiku, though more for the purpose of keeping himself aware of his movements rather than to intimidate the older man. Still, Pain Killer was not above such word games, and had built up a reputation for running his mouth as much as his fists had done for him. This fight would be no exception. His feet spread slightly, widening his stance though not quite making it to shoulderwidth apart, his arms shaking out the kinks and making the blood flow a little faster.
"And yet, I'm sure you're making the same mistake you're accusing me of making. I'm not the same punk you beat down after a grueling fight. This time, you're up against a legend in the making."
His words, while directed towards Kazuki, were more for his own benefit, psyching himself up for the upcoming battle as well as beginning to pump adrenaline through his body. His gloved fists slowly rose up to his face, the right knuckles an inch or two in front of his nose, the left hand clenched into a loose fist a good four inches in front of the right. Adam slid his left foot forward, his now leading leg only a small distance in front of his right, giving him a stable stance, but one that he could move from in a fairly quick fashion. In a slow, unhurried fashion, Adam's left hand beckoned for Kazuki to come at him, gesturing with two fingers before returning to the loose fist it had formed before.
It was all a matter of how Taiku would react, whether he would indeed be the first to act, or whether he preferred to be on the defensive, in which Pain Killer would wait to see the older man's stance before beginning his assault.

"You talk too much, kid. If you're going to fight, then just come at me and stop spouting bullshit. I have things to do later."
His words would step in roughly around the time Adam started his little monologue about not being the same punk from before...Frankly, he was getting to a stage where he would have loved to just jam a pool cue into the kids throat, if it meant he'd just....Stop. Fucking. Talking....Slipping his watch off his wrist and flicking it towards his coat, letting the metal land with a dull thud against the material, he reached up to his pierced ear and tugged the collapsible rings away, harmlessly pulling them out and pocketing them.
"Now, if you're quite finished?"
Standing a few feet from Adam, he had no reason to raise a guard as of yet, as such he stood completely face on with the younger male, his palms turned up with his arms slightly out from his body. He was the one being challenged here, this fight would begin on his terms. Looking at Adam, he restrained the smirk that desired to creep up onto his face at the kids preparation for a fight that hadn't even begun yet. He'd shown a good portion of his initial form solely in that stance, and the fact his hands were raised so quickly, this kid was a puncher above all else.
'So those hands are the main thing I should avoid. Fine, I'll take something out of it's socket and send him packing.'
Waiting silently, he kept his palms by his side, the arms prepared to react suddenly to anything that would be thrown at him but, and most importantly, showing nothing of a stance or form yet. His opponent would learn quickly, this would be little of a walk for him.
-Upstairs, Rene's perspective-
'Damnit, Kazuki...What the hell are you doing?'
Standing at the one-way glass, she looked down to the main floor as the scene began to evolve...Taking a seat on the ledge, she rested a palm against the glass and took a slow breath. Fights like this were risky for him these days, not physically, she knew in that aspect he could still mow through an army if he had to, but he was trying, really trying, to put the past away. He had enough blood on his hands, was it really so much for the man to want to stop adding to it?
Still, he had too much pride to turn away from a challenge, particularly from Varron students. So far, three had shown up in the last month demanding fights with him...He had beaten them so quickly that the crowd around the scene had not had time to fully form at any time. This guy though, he seemed a little stronger than them, if nothing else. Just more ammunition for Kazuki to want to prove his own point...
"Not if I have anything to do with it this time...." she muttered as she reached for her radio, preparing to command the doorstaff to intervene.
When the door to the office opened quickly, she spun around and dropped her radio, seeing Tyler there she paused and listened as he spoke...Kazuki had explicitly asked for no interference from the doormen. Clearly confident in his ability, it would seem...She remained in silence as Tyler spoke, giving him a light smile before she turned back to the glass, looking out over the floor as the initial windup to the match began to draw to a close....
"I've been alright, I guess. Came here with Kazuki after the insurance paid out on the club, set up shop again, nothing too spectacular in all...What about yourself? I heard you'd been set up by some guy from The Hand. He wouldn't tell me anything other than that...."
When his arms raised up, the gesture clear to her, she stood and motioned for Tyler to follow her..."Come on, I'm not watching this thing from here like a damned voyeur...."
Walking to the door quickly, she held it open for the young man to follow...

With a small nod, Adam signified he was indeed finished talking, remaining silent for once as he watched Taiku prepare himself for the fight to come. His eyes narrowed slightly, concentrating on taking in his opponent's stance and searching for any possible weaknesses he could exploit right off the bat. And yet, it seemed Taiku had no set fighting stance he felt was appropriate. You've got to be kidding me... Quit playing these Goddamn games! The flash of anger rose up inside, his cheeks taking on a faint tinge of red from embarassment as he realized Kazuki didn't see him as enough of a threat to even bother defending against. Before his fury could fully take over his thoughts, the rational part of his mind spoke up, reminding him that such mind games were common, and nothing to be concerned with. After all, if Kazuki didn't take his warning seriously, it would simply look that much worse for the older man should he lose.
With newfound focus, Adam slid his left foot forward across the floor, bringing it three or four inches to the outside of Taiku's right foot. His leading hand dipped down to waist level as he turned his upper body to the left, ensuring that his right hand never left its positioning near his face as he closed the distance between himself and the former Legion leader, before suddenly and violently sending his left fist in an uppercut towards Taiku's lower right ribs. This attack had much of Pain Killer's impressive 237-pounds behind it, giving it considerable power and making it less likely that Taiku could simply push it away from striking him, and by closing the gap between the fighters, Adam had given his blow a better chance to land, given the short distance it would need to travel in order to hit its target. His left fist would remain loose as it travelled towards Kazuki's ribs, and provided the older man did nothing to defend himself, would tighten into a full fledged fist just split seconds before impact. As the uppercut was thrown, Pain Killer's trailing right foot would slide forward at the same time, providing him with a more stable stance after the attack's results, regardless of the outcome.

ooc: Yeah, wrong account, but I was in a rush to throw this up before going to sleep...
ic:
Despite the young mans procrastination, not to mention the brief and very obvious moment of irritance at the fact Taiku had chosen to raise no defence as of yet, little reaction had occurred on the club-owners side of things. Still waiting patiently as Adam began his initial move, he followed the foot as it paused just outside his own right through his peripheral vision, getting a feel for the moves grounding before the complete execution...
The thing he personally found amusing, more than anything else, was the fact that he was indeed defensive as it stood. From here, aware of the fact he would be clearly quicker than his much larger, heavier opponent, even at this close range he was not worried about being struck. Quite the contrary, at this range, he fought some of his best fights, his speed and agility able to cancel out the power of his larger opponents.
As the hand had lowered, it was clear enough what Adam intended to do. That left was coming at him one way or another, and with a barely noticable shift of his right foot as the fist began to approach he began to twist swiftly, weaving into the blows direction and past it on Adams left, neutralising the effectiveness of his right hand that would likely still be covering his face. His left arm, as he swept through, would strike with the heel of his hand in the middle of Adams forearm, pushing it in toward his body firmly as he continued in his momentum. Considering the force the larger fighter had employed, had Taiku remained in front of him he would, indeed, have been in trouble, but the problem with an attack that relied on as much power as an uppercut was that once started, it was damned near impossible to stop it halfway through. From the evaded position to Adams left, Taikus shunt to the forearm would be enough to keep it out of his way for now.
His right hand, however, completed the twist as he continued to turn, his left foot sliding across the floor quickly to his side before pressing into the ground, pushing him forward with a little more power as he drove his right fist towards the lower centre of Adams back, between his kidneys. He knew from experience, even big guys felt a punch like that, and he doubted Adam would be anything of an exception to the rule. On top of it, he would be surprised if the guy was able to prevent it from hitting him...Sure, the chance may be that he would twist his body, but that would simply send the blow into the lowest section of his ribcage like a hammer.
Assuming his blow would connect, he would back away, utilising the stumble it would most likely set his opponent into to give him some ground for the time being. He had no doubt that this would not be his opponents best, the first attacks never were.
Of course, by such comparison, the same would be said for him...

OOC: Heh, not the first time. And I might've misunderstood a part of your move, so PM me if my counter doesn't make sense. IC: As Taiku moved into the uppercut approaching his midsection in order to dodge the blow, Pain Killer couldn't help but feel a small touch of respect for the older man. Rather than flee the attack, he'd met it head on, a style that Adam recognized and enjoyed. The thought of battling someone with much the same ideals as himself was exciting, causing Pain Killer's tongue to run along the inside of his teeth in a subconscious feeling of satisfaction. The fleeting moment of happiness, however, would not distract him from the task at hand. There had been a reason that Adam had set up his left foot to the outside of Taiku's right. In his mind, he had trapped the older man from moving too far off to Pain Killer's left, as he would either need to step around the leg and cost himself valuable time, or be forced to step in closer into what Adam considered his "comfort zone". Both options would keep Kazuki from making it completely behind Pain Killer before he could react, which would be, oddly enough, in a manner fairly similiar in principle to how Taiku had moments before, with a minor difference. Rather than avoid the blow, he'd meet it full-on, in his typical suicidal fashion. The sliding right foot would slam downwards before thrusting his body back and to the left, directly towards Taiku. As he was in the midst of delivering his strike to the larger man's spine, the former Legion leader would find himself hard pressed to move out of the way and retain his attack's power. Adam's spine, however would not take the brunt of the blow, as he had become turning his body left, redirecting his failed uppercut into an elbow thrust aimed at Taiku's torso, more specifically at the lower left ribs above his stomach. By thrusting his body towards Taiku, the blow would land against Adam's ribs, though admittedly with some less force due to the lack of time needed to build up velocity, giving him annoying but manageable pain for the time being. After all, he wasn't called Pain Killer for nothing.

'Almost suicidal...He hasn't even made the slightest attempt to dodge it.'
The thought, as it passed through Taikus head, was not rushed or worried, it was a mere observation on his opponent for his part. Adam was not the first person he had gone up against who would use their physical build to absorb the punishment he dealt out, and like every other fighter of the method, he was certain that the outcome of this stood in his favour...He had the clear speed advantage, he could continue dishing blows like this out, it would only be a question of how long his opponent could take them.
Moving in, as Adam retracted and towards him, he gave but the faintest of smirks as he prepared for the impact, twisting his fist a quarter, the knuckles now at the top of the attacking hand, and grinding them into the struck area of his opponents ribs. He admitted one thing to himself, this was an unwise counter in his eyes. Sacrificing a blow to an area like this, as opposed to taking it to the back where more muscle would be able to withstand the force or, heaven forbid Adam actually put the effort into it, dodge the damned thing.
"Makes no sense."
The words leaving his lips were pre-occupied as he continued to react...Clearly the initial attack had yet to end, and Adam had, as an apparent rebuttal to his uppercut being dismissed, launched a back-striking elbow. The attack would likely not be immediate, considering that Taikus own punch would land during the last moments of his counter to Adam, and to bring back a blow of such force he had originally thrown would require a noticable amount of tension in his bodys positioning. The clear difference here, to be noted, was that his left arm was still free to react, having lingered around his face after knocking the inital strike out of the way. When Adams body suddenly began to turn, as it would have just before the strike landed, it would give Taiku ample time to wait for an attack to come, his palm lunging down at the somewhat blindly thrown elbow to collide with it before it could reach his body...
Needless to say, the impact would send a quick jar of numbness through his arm as he brought the bony heel of his hand against his opponents elbow, but such a situation was far more desirable than taking the blow to his ribs. Pushing with his arms, he shunted Adams body away from him firmly, forcibly attempting to put some more distance between the two of them.
Clenching his fist by his side, the feeling coming back into it steadily, he shook off the sensation a moment and folded his arms over his chest loosely. This could yet get interesting, he would soon see whether Adams claims at being able to beat him were even remotely justified....

With as little balance as he had at the moment, Pain Killer found himself shoved forwards, having to stumble forward two steps before spinning himself around to face Kazuki once again. Adam's grin remained, though his eyes began to narrow back to a more manageable size, his excitement becoming easier to handle. His hands shot back up to their former positioning, or at least, his right shot up. The left arm stopped halfway, the pain in his pack halting it's movement momentarily. Frowning, Adam stretched his arm in front of him, loosening the muscle, before managing to put himself back in the same fighter's stance he'd formed before.
He's fast. Faster then the kid.
Whether Taiku truly was faster than Kyukaku didn't particularly matter, as in either case, he'd still be much quicker then the youngest living Rydell boy. It seemed that Adam would need to negate that speed somehow, either by limiting Taiku's mobility with a grab of some sort, or taking out a leg, a feat easier said then done. Still, if there was one thing he was good at, it was grabbing and pounding. With his game plan intact, Adam went on the offensive once again.
Pain Killer stepped forward rapidly, his left foot bringing himself within arm's reach of Taiku, his right quickly following. If Taiku were simply concentrating on Adam's feet, the older man would be in for a rude awakening, as Adam sent his left hand forward, the index and middle knuckles jutting out from his otherwise half-formed fist, intent on being driven into Kazuki's chest, just inches underneath where the neck ended and the ribs began. Such an area wasn't likely to be lethal, but it would certainly be painful, something Adam was more than happy to inflict on his foe.

'Once again you attempt a full-on attack, when not only do you have no way to corner me but no real, cogent plan. I wonder if you intend on just wasting these blows until you maybe, MAYBE, luck out with one of them and catch me....?'
The thought was fleeting, considering that as it entered his head he was reacting oppositely to Adams steps, backtracking quickly to maintain himself just out of reach of any direct attack as he waited for the opening. It was inevitable that his opponent would eventually create one, and the punch that followed presented itself almost like a Christmas present for the older, much more technical fighter, whose hands were yet to be raised against his opponent.
Unlike before, where he had made the decision to rely on his speed to outmove Adam, he had a much more interesting idea for dealing with this punch. Having been stepping back to maintain some distance from him, the range the blow would have to travel would be far increased, not coming at him directly from close range. He had already seen that much about his opponent, he believed the term they used on the MMA fighting tournaments was 'ground and pound'...
During the blows course of direction, Taiku would shift marginally to his right, his left arm rising up to the inside of Adams punch, the palm of his hand acting as a restrainer to the actions of his right and pulling the wrist out towards him, intent on straightening the limb partway, as his left made its move, the heel of his right hand viciously attacking the elbow with a sudden strike to the area of Adams elbow where the joint was most fluent, driving it away from him in a quick, unrelented attempt to incapacitate one of Adams arms by weakening the elbow.
He had no intention of trying to break the joint, such a thing would prove pointless in the end, but should his attack have worked then Adams left arm, whilst still useable by all means, would have no place in this fight in the strained state he intended to leave it in...He was aware that in terms of raw power he would not be able to win, and by such knew that trying to bring down Adam for a takedown would be pointless. Instead, with the peak of the strike to the elbow, he would twist his body again sharply, utilising a small burst of momentum to effectively lead Adam away from him, stumbling....
'I never denied you a fight, Adam. I will not, however, fight you to leave you seriously injured.'

Sucker.
The next best thing to grabbing someone was having them grab you, and it seemed that Taiku had walked right into the younger Rydell's plan. For someone who favoured limb-disabling attacks as much as Adam did, it was fairly easy to get the general idea of what Taiku was attempting, pulling on Pain Killer's arm in order to straighten it out, making it much more vulnerable. Such an event was fairly easy to avoid, however, and as Taiku began to pull, Pain Killer simply went with the path of least resistance, stepping forward with his right foot while pushing his left arm forward a small distance more. The intention was not to keep the blow from hitting, but rather, change the area that was targetted, and by moving with Taiku's pull, Adam's triceps would take the strike instead, sending a quick tingling sensation down his arm upon impact.
He would make the former gang leader feel more than just a tingle, in retaliation.
Caught up in the moment, Pain Killer burst out laughing, spinning on the balls of his feet as he did so to the left in order to bring himself facing the older man. During the spin, his unused right hand would fly forward in a right cross aimed directly at Kazuki's nose, the momentum giving it more than enough strength to do some significant damage, as well force Taiku's eyes to water should it strike his nostrils. After all, no matter how tough you were, the nose is nearly impossible to build up a resistance to punishment with. Pain Killer was confident that Kazuki would have a hard time defending against his sudden attack, as they were nice and close, and Taiku's hands were seemingly occupied with the attempt at injuring Adam's left arm, causing him to continue to laugh in content with himself.
This is it, this is what I was born for. I've got this!

ooc: Again, wrong account ^^;;
ic:
Overextension, using his weight to push the blow further through Taikus grip and render the intended blow far less effective as the heel of his hand would find its target changed to the outer section of Adams tricep, it meant that his opponent had made his own counteraction to the current attack. With this in mind, Taiku had already begun to move when Adam set about pivoting on his feet, bringing his left foot back a little and keeping Adams arm in his hold, the wrist still clamped around, and now with his fingertips clawed and forcibly digging into the grooves of the muscles at both Adams wrist and tricep, he would be able to maintain control over the limb much more simply. Pain was not a relevant factor here, simply the fact that with as much pressure being applied to the muscles and nerves, both in the inner, fleshy section of the wrist and the muscles, it was just another method of joint manipulation...
'You're a real idiot if you think this is any laughing matter, Adam...'
The laughter, whilst catching his attention, did only that. He was not perturbed by it, not irritated, nor surprised. Over time he had grown used to every type of reaction from his opponent...From Raphael who burst into tears when he fought, to Ein who showed no emotion at all, even in defeat. He took correction of himself at that, however. He still held incredible respect for the German in regard to that. No emotion meant he gave off no viable weaknesses in his words or expression, he was just a blank canvas. It had been a vicious fight, but Taiku had learned from it. He knew better as a result of it...
As the punch, as quick as it would inevitably be in execution, came towards him he would thrust Adams own arm up to meet the blow, during the action his right leg, likely to go unnoticed with the focus being paid to the current situation, would raise just enough to drive the heel of his foot at the side of Adams ankle quickly, the blow intent on striking the lowest section of his opponents shin, the pressure compounding almost entirely on the bony section of Adams inner ankle. Impact being disregarded, his foot would not stay around long enough for any reciprocant action to be dealt...
'I'm faster than you, let's increase that gap, shall we....?'
Though there was a reasonable chance that the punch being thrown might end up striking his hand, but the impact would at worst create a sharp pain that would fade. On top of it, there was no guarantee it would hit -him-....

OOC: It's... almost like fighting the Principal. IC: As nearly anyone in the same situation would do, Adam's left arm pushed against Taiku's, attempting to resist his manipulation of the captured limb. Against superior positioning and leverage, his one arm could not match the might of two, despite his strength advantage. Still, that resistance would make the slightest difference, keeping Adam's arm from raising completely to the required height in order to block Adam's fist. Block it completely, that is. The thumb and index knuckle glanced off of his forearm, the rounded shape and relative softness of the muscle allowing the fist to continue on its way, and Adam could only grit his teeth in response. Such pain added up, and the fact that it was caused by his own hands compounded the insult. On the positive side, his fist was still on course for Taiku's face, aimed slightly higher due to the intervention of his other arm, as well as lacking about a third of its velocity. Still, it would at least cause some damage should it land, and restore to Pain Killer some confidence in his battle. Still, with all his attention on the upper body, Adam hadn't noticed the heel heading towards his shin, and in turn, took the full force of the blow. Immediately realizing the dangers of his new handicap, Adam stepped forward with his right foot, intent on closing the distance between himself and Taiku, whether the older man backed off or remained where he was.
