When you're not in the mood to listen to an economic lecture about labor unions, your mind wanders. I did this li'l rough comic inspired by this thread... This scene takes place before Kyukaku enters the fray. Starring Cartford Locksmith, glimpses of Valencia, and random shots of Zeniro's hand. XIN1 Scene Comic 1I'm oddly tempted to do more of these... Just to practice stuff beyond random poses.

I think you should carry on doing these random snippets, I think you've caught the scene quite well. Poor Cartford.

It's been a loooonnnggg time since I last updated this thread... Especially since I haven't been scanning too many things in lately, let alone given the opportunity to doodle. A few, but not too many. I have been, however, messing around in Photoshop more and it should be a matter of time until I make more prettiful things and things more prettiful~♪ I so happi~♪ Abusing brushes is fun! And the fancy "HNILMIK" was done by an acquaintance of mine out of commission. Mreh. I also want to post up a business card I made several months ago, but it has personal information on it. I think it looks nice though and the few people who've seen it said so too, so~

I'm not gonna lie, I'm jealous. The render looks perfect in quality, and I like how there's brushing behind it. The last few signatures I've made were pop-outs, and I've been practicing with different ideas that surface from out of the blue (which explains my envy). I wonder how your acquaintance did the text, only the color however. For a gradient like that, you'd have to make your own, but, maybe he/she just used the simplest gradient (as it only fades from one dark color to a brighter one, two tones I mean) and hue'd/saturated it (or of course there's color balance, probably after hitting desaturate?. The only thing I don't like is that it looks a LITTLE blurred, and I'm not sure if it's caused by the excessive Bevel & Emboss that was used to make the letters fancy, or maybe because there is an outer-glow (or soft stroke outline) there's also an inner glow... (I'm talking about the HNILMIK the whole time, just in case).
As for your business card, just put it up, and scratch out your info.

I love the background splash-thing. Don't ask me why, because I don't have a reason other than the fact it looks really good to me.

I don't know how my friend (Riph) did it aside from him saying that he was messing around in PS and wanted to make names using the Super Smash Bros Brawl font of sorts. Who knows, maybe he found a tutorial somewhere?

Oh god, I almost choked on a french fry.
I would name all the threads I was involved in, but it seems kind of pointless since we already know. So I'll leave it to others.

Aside from the obviously awesome Xin-related ones, I really like Tomamoto. Making letters out of objects looks really cool to me, nicely done.

This was a sig I made some time ago for the VA Rina-chan ("XIN" Silvia). I'm well aware of what could be done to improve this, particularly regarding the outer glow that ought've been a more matching color~ xx; <--- had to resize the image, but not sure if some of the quality disappeared I entered Lifepoint1's September contest thingy in which MJ's theme was FairyTwist ending. Basically, you have to have text to know what story you're messing up and a rubber ducky (or stuffed animal) to qualify. I couldn't think of anything wacky or messed up, so hopefully this alternate ending will count.
