"I'm aware you prefer to maintain a semblance of order with the students here, Liam, but it's quickly growing boring. They're almost reaching a kind of peace with one another..."
The voice on the other end of the line was given a mild chuckle from the elder staff member, the principal of Hircine High leaning back into his chair with a low sigh as he lit one of the small cigars from the holding tin that sat on his desk. With a few short puffs, the tobacco lit smoothly before he took a short drag on it, letting the smoke linger before blowing the plume up into the air. The voice on the other end quickly grew impatient before he began to speak, and he quickly asserted his authority over the situation once again.
"That's the entire point. If the troubles were to continue without a pause, without a lowered guard, then nothing comes of it. But as it stands, shaky alliances are growing between some of the lower students, the ones not involved with any of the larger factions. Shatter them, my friend, and the entire house of cards will come tumbling down. The masses are the root of this school, not the factions. They're vying to GET control....Break the trusts that are growing, break the alliances, and the foundation falls from under everyones feet. Chaos follows."
"...Can you be certain it will work?"
The snicker that left his lips quickly accentuated his response..."I've successfully managed to break students at this school for nearly a decade...These might be the most volatile cases I've seen to date, but as it stands, most of the highest-risk cases aren't even students at the school anymore. They're privy to the legal system, not the school system, and they can't watch over their friends the entire time, can they...?"
He hung up the phone a moment later after assent and other praise was given, the person on the other end of the line one of the few people who was permitted to know what he was planning. Even Darren and the underlying pillars were not given that information, mainly because they themselves would prove to be the integral part in beginning the troubles he had planned. After all, who better to instigate mass panic than to have the previously 'friendly' pillars suddenly adopt a state of martial law against the students?
His point was further added to by the buzz of a pager at his hip, and glancing at it, he grinned silently before rising from his chair and leaving the office, locking the door behind him. Without any attention garnered, partly because the majority of the students were in class at the moment, he arrived at the detention room with no trouble or notice. Stepping into the room, locking the door behind him once again, he looked at the two students who were being held in place with their arms pinned behind their backs, others beating them repeatedly and without pause. One of them a Varron student, the other a Hircine student. He knew that both were reasonably popular within their respective circles, but that was the entire point. As he took a cursory glance over the two, he turned to the others who were dishing out the ordered punishment and simply smirked.
"You know what to do now..."
~At the end of the class~
The students, as they milled out, would eventually make their way into the central yard of the school to cut across to the other buildings quickly...In doing so, however, at opposite ends of the school they would find two students, both badly beaten. So much so, it would appear they had been practically lynched...The very effect that Liam had hoped to convey along with the fact that there were clear signs each had been attacked by members of the other group. Of course, it was entirely fabricated and designed simply to make them begin to question things.
Add to that the fact that almost immediately after the initial findings of the two, messages were sent to the pillars and Darren through his pagers, informing them that they were to immediately begin action to cease and control any and all troubles that would begin as a result of this...The Varron students, for one thing, were not going to react well to this sort of thing happening again, particularly after the last month or so...The Hircine students, no less, would be less than pleased to think that the students that many had begun to think of as fellow classmates had betrayed them with such an action. It was almost certain that one way or another, tension would begin to simmer up again.
'Now I just need to wait for the fighting to start again, sit back, and watch as the pillars do the work for me...'
[ooc: Right, kidlets, let's cover a few things. This is intended to get things pretty riled up and to remove the relaxed atmosphere. The first few posters can feel quite welcome to find the students and to cover that in more detail, if pillars decide they want to show up, this is a time to start getting 'authorative' or 'rebellious'. I intend to create some fighting here, but please, no riots, and Valencia, please don't smash up the school any more than you MUST. Same goes to Charlotte. No exploding fire extinguishers, please. Otherwise, go crazy and punch a rival student in the face. Make it epic. ^^]

"Nah, aint seen 'im... Said te meet 'im on te way te class, not like 'im to not show up." "Dude, I know! Alister heard he was taken to the detention room!" "Meester popular-goody-two-shoes!? Ha!"
The conversation between them continued iin the classroom, soon becoming a quiet argument in regards to whether or not the rumours were true. Who had started the rumour was certainly being daring, the person in question was one of the more popular students at Hircine, and to damage his reputation would make a lot of people upset.
Unfortunately, a student who couldn't care less about who went to detention was sat behind the two who were bickering, unintentionally being able to hear every word. Unfortunately for the pair; the teacher also came to notice in a few short minutes; luckily for the rest of the class the bell rang at that moment. The two could get beatings from the teacher in peace, at least.
With his books in arm, Gary walked out of the class in single file with the rest of his class. He then began making his way toward the other end of the school grounds toward his English class, with his boots thudding against the floor as he walked, the jeans moving in unison with his legs while his black shirt followed the movements of his torso. These average days were getting boring, Gary wanted something to get excited about, but what he would soon run into would not be what he had hoped for.
By the time Gary reached the courtyard with the intent of crossing over to arrive at his next class, only to find a crowd gathering. Normally, crowds would gather at intriguing events or a fight, but the usual excitement was absent, it was replaced by a morbid, unsettled feeling. One that suggested an event far more sinister than anyone had believed to happen on Hircine High's grounds.
Gary made his way into the small, but growing crowd, for amongst the anxiety of the crowd were people talking about something that caught his attention, speaking about two students who had been viciously assaulted beyond any reasoning. One was supposedly a student from Varron, the other a well known Hircine resident. Once in the inner circle of the uneasy gathering, Gary stood for a moment in utter silence, two students appeared to have come close to being lynched. He recognised one, though barely, as someone who had been kind to Gary, one who had offered a friendship amongst a group. The offer may have been refused and a thank you not given, but the offer and thought were not forgotten. This was enough for Gary to assume one thing: Varron had taken things a step further.
Stepping next to the student that was recognized, Gary turned until he had made a complete turn, having looked at every face now surrounding him. Then he made his speech, "This is enough. This is the last straw. The infamous students of Varron are going to face the consequences of their actions." A silence followed, he had the attention of most Hircine students, his rage seething through his verbal communication, barely being kept under control. "I have stood in the shadows until now; I have fought a mere two Varronites; but this time, I ask to stand united. Those who recognise me will know the request is unusual, you all know it is time to show them we will not hide in the darkness."
He shook with anger, fists clenched, hoping for someone to step forward. He had made a new decision, one that involved Hircine taking a stand against the virus within the school. The student body had to fix the mistake the headmaster had made through accepting the inferior transfers.
"Varrons students should not be here. They do not belong here. And alone or with allies, I for one intend on eradicating Hircines enemies." There was a murmur of agreement, disagreement, and some undecided. But Gary had made his decision; his mind was set on one goal; for those who had suffered at the hands of Varron transfers to get their revenge, if he had to do it with or without allies. Now the question, would any step forward to take his side? Or would one of the many that had now been branded an enemy, step up to challenge him? Alternatively, a pillar could arrive, which could prove the turning point of the catastrophic event. What did seem certain was the oncoming fight. Something would start, an insult would be thrown, a sly remark inserted, or just flat-out assault. Whatever happened, the male in the centre of the crowd was ready to do his bit, prepared to fight for his school to the very end.

[Wow, my first post in a while....]
Who the hell does he think he is?
A sleepy pair of eyes looked at the boy who'd just riled the crowd more than it needed it to be. Kai heard a small click and watched as a Hircine Senior lit a cigarette and took a deep drag, draining half of the small white cylinder. He let out a small sigh, a cloud of smoke pouring out of his nostrils and mouth. Kai looked at him, trying not to grimace at the thought of second-hand smoking, and the smell of tobacco. Kai gave him a small nudge and asked softly, "What do you think of the guy?"
"I don't know, man. All I know is I'm headed to college in a month. Then I'mma be away from all this bullshit." He took another drag, taking away the last of the tube of tobacco and dropped it to the ground, stamping it out with his sneaker. The cigarette died with a small fsss.
Kai nodded. He, too, would be out of here in a little less than a month. He had to say, he wouldn't be missing this place at all. Why bother..... he thought sullenly, and slowly turned around to leave, only to knock into another boy. This Sophomore definitely looked like he agreed whole-heartedly with Gary. "Sorry," Kai muttered as he walked by him, trying to make his way out of there quickly. He had barely left when he felt something grab him by the collar of his T-Shirt. Shit. Not quick enough.....
"S'matter? Don't agree with my man up there?" he said menacingly. He, too, had a cigarette sticking out of his mouth, lit only a while ago. Kai almost rolled his eyes. I can take this clown. But if I hurt this guy, I'll have the whole crowd on me. Kai shook his head.
"No, I have to use the bathroom," Kai said as innocently as he could. He tried to walk away again, only to be thrown down to the ground. The entire crowd turned around at the sound of a scuffle. OMG, NO. He felt the hand leave him, and he quickly rolled to the side just as a large skate shoe stomped the area next to his head. He jumped to his feet and backed away.
"Don't think I don't know you're a transfer scumbag," he said, obviously with self-gratification that he'd just thrown down one kid. He ran forward, the crowd egging him on. Kai stood there with one hand in the pocket of his jeans. His other hand was loose at his sides. "Fuck you!" The kid hollered as he threw the first punch, a right hook. Kai moved his head to the side, letting the punch graze his hair. He swore he saw a hair fall off. With a swift motion, Kai reached up with his free hand and stuck the cigarette into the kid's mouth with his thumb. The kid's angry look dissolved into one of pain. He backed off, choking.
"You have the wrong idea. I'm a transfer, but not from Varron....." Kai said, his voice neutral.

Post by Leon Loire on May 19, 2007 0:22:12 GMT 1
And so it began... subtle, unknown to the masses.
Leon Loire had been in the midst of his Literature course, writing down notes for some novel the teacher had them preparing to read over the next week, his mind wandering to thoughts of various subjects - lunch, his itchy neck, lunch again, politics... and the women involved in his local spectrum.
'A romantic relationship can be so tempting, yet when involved in one, so hefty and stressful. Is it really worth it?' Leon quietly wondered, making another bullet for a quick stream of information, 'I mean, really, there's so much to do here that actually lets someone think than let their instincts run.'
Class was nearly out, with only five minutes remaining; of course, the teacher had every intention to run her pawns to the second. Ever since the "No Child Left Behind" Bill had been updated, it seemed teachers received better pay based on their student's scores, even if the skyline income for a "spectacular" educator only reached the fifty-thousands.
The time, fortunately, passed as an eye-blink would, and soon enough Loire found himself strolling outside the door's arch, shifting his eyes left and right to check the atmosphere. Something didn't feel right. Furrowing his brow, Leon noticed a strange, tensed crowd heading through the main doors far to his right, exiting toward the school's front courtyard. Uncertain, Leon followed, passing the pair of double doors after a few moments of the crowd traffic.
Murmurs and uncomfortable silence was an unwelcome prelude. The sight itself, however, easily outdid the anticipation. While not as severe as some would fear, it still had an aching affect.
'Oh God, no...'
It was the situation from hell from what Leon felt. One Varronite, one Hircinian, both beaten to a pulp and sharing signs of attack from the opposing "faction." It was the worse individual violence that involved Hircine-Varron since the Riot.
Mixing into the crowd standing in awe before the fallen Varron student, Leon noticed a few familiars that were from either side of the social fence. Well known Varronites, transfers who had adapted the title for protection, victims of the discrimination, sympathizers, or even allies. All clustering together, knowing of what was coming as the Hircine students massed around them...
Finally, it came - in the voice of a Freshman did the common belief of Ignorance come.
Leon was at the edge of the "Varronite" cluster, eying the speaking Hircinian Freshman with a glare as he spoke of Loire's historical origin as a "virus," and acted as if the Hircinians needed to organize together to destroy them, to thrust out a parasite that had chosen to reside among them.
The child's voice brought the image of a red-banded Swastika to Leon's navy eyes.
'Powerful speakers are a universal thing, and even devolution and ignorance can hold them.'
Laying his hand on a nearby familiar (OOC: any friend that wishes to be that "familiar," I'd appreciate it) Loire whispered for them to help the fallen Varronite out of the arena.
"It's not safe for them, for anyone," Leon muttered, "Grab the guy and take him to the Health Office, and take a few others with you for safety. Might be wise to have someone else grab the Hircinian too, for good measure."
Leon would have done this sort of thing himself, but that fiery ambition that raged in his gut ordered him to bring argument to the young man that called for a Holocaust.
'Time to be Leon Loire...'
Patting his friend that he called to for help, Leon strides toward the edge of the Varronite cluster and toward the young Freshman, keeping his distance at about twenty feet, and glancing toward him directly, watching as the two social groups began to give him space. Hircinian or Varronite, Loire's speech at The Edge a month or so ago had established his reputation as a rebel.
"Your enemies are not the Varronite population, I can promise you that." Leon Loire spoke out, his hands loosely floating at his sides, his navy gaze glaring at the Freshman, "You speak in clear ignorance of this situation. You're assuming that since two students who were conveniently laid near each other with conspiring evidence upon one another points that the entire Varron population of 200 students planned an attack on a single student. This was an attack on an individual; attacking that or his social class, it doesn't matter. The attacker was not under the orders of either side, Varronite or Hircinian."
Leon palmed his hand toward the Varronites on his right, his gaze still toward his political opponent, "We're not your enemy. If you wish to battle someone, you can look somewhere else. I know who they are, but I will not speak aloud - and perhaps I will speak of them if I can find trust in someone who is currently speaking as the Nazis had against the Jews during the last World War. Now, catch your ignorance and eliminate it before it begins a travesty, or you will be remembered for it, mark my words."
'This kind of war between the Hircinians and Varronites cannot be allowed to occur. We still have those among us, on both sides, that would demand Disorder. Those against some sort of foundation must be dealt with before we can focus ourselves to turning this hatred into petty politics.'

Post by Auroth on May 19, 2007 3:14:13 GMT 1
Another day, another class, another bell ring, and another walk home; another day in the life of Auroth. His last class was Anatomy, a class that he was passing with an A. However, all he really did there was just sleep or wait for the bell to ring. He had already extensively studied the body for whatever secrets it may yield the man, to perhaps learn the best ways of going about to destroy the body. However, that's besides the point. Things have been calm for the past month or so, as if eerily so. So far, word has not reached him of a possible Varron/Hircine fight that could occur in the probable future, which to him was a good thing. After all, he didn't need some crap about being a Varronite or some shit like that. He had his own things to deal with, and petty school politics were beneath him. As far as he was concerned, he needed to deal with himself first, and then, and only then, should he try to enter the world a changed man. The darkness in him, however, had other plans... And would not let the blonde exorcise this Inner Evil....
As the man walked through the school, he heard murmurs and whispers echoing through the hall. Dirty looks were cast all around, especially at him, with an omnious a tension filled the air. Anger seemed to be apparent as well, as if just waiting to pounce. Auroth could see this tension in the eyes of random students, as they casted dark looks upon him. He wondered why this was so: So far he had not did anything to attain the disdain of the student body... well, at least not anything publicly known that is. Yet, as he strode down this hall it looked like all hell was about to break loose.....
"I wonder... What happened?.." He thought
And then it hit him. He saw in the courtyard two bloody and beaten-to-a-pulp students that seemed to come out of a Saw movie or something. It was bad, real bad; it was like someone ran them over with a car, reversed the car to run them over again, go forward one more time only to put it in reverse to hit them again and finally running them over one last time before leaving the scene. He didn't know these kids, but from their looks they looked Varron and Hircine respectively..... Which seemed very, very odd. To juxtapose these two students here in the courtyard was by no means a random act of violence... It was... too coordinated for that.
There was an obfuscated truth behind this... Lying somewhere in the shadows....
And yet, before he could do something a Hircine Freshman spoke up, being pretty much the voice of hate and intolerance. Anger welled up inside the blonde, as he felt that he should go over there and give this kid a good punch.... But no, to do that would only make the situation go from bad to worst.... He knew that tensions might have lower over the past month, but this event would possibly spark a Varron/Hircine war... And he didn't want that....
"What are you talking about? Of course you want it" Auroth looked up, his face filled with fear. It was his other self, his inner self, speaking to him with a rather excited tone. "I know you Auroth..... I am you remember? I knew that truly, deep down, that you hate this sinful school of yours. You think that by doing something drastic, you could spark some kind of riot that will tear this place apart...."
"No, shut up" he said to himself... Luckily no one noticed him, they were more interested in the bodies than some loon talking to himself...
Suddenly, Leon spoke, his tone bringing a semblance of reason and order to this chaotic situation. It seemed to have somewhat soothed the audience, yet he still sensed the tension in air.... The driving thirst for blood that was apparent in this courtyard......
"What a pest... Well, it doesn't really matter does it? We both know that some bad shit will go down real fast... And that ultimately, peace will never be attainable. If such it be the case... Why not use this violence to a greater purpose; the destruction of the school. Oh, I can see it know; Fires everywhere, vandalism at its all time highest, teachers unable to stop or do anything... This all just charges me up!"
"Shut up" Auroth said rather loudly now, as he clutched his head. "I mean, come on.... Give in to me Auroth.... Let your rage control you.... You know very well what is going to happen... There's no point fighting it... Why look over there"
With that Auroth looked over, as though he was just pointed out who to look at. What he saw was a rather weak-looking Hircine student, who seemed rather shocked by the whole thing....
"Hit him" His darkness said "And, in doing so, we could spark off something truly marvelous... Let us not let the violence start off with some idiot claiming to injure these students or something... Let us instead just spark off the inevitable havoc with this simple gesture... Think about it; we'll be able to cause some much destruction... We could cleanse this school and swash away it's sins with the fire of a riot. You know the path you must take Auroth..."
He tried to resist, grasping his head in a pathetic last attempt to stop his dark influence from taking over. His teeth clenched, as his hands seemed to grab his yellow hair. His eyes closed, water slowly trickling as he felt his mind slowly eroding... And slowly, ever so slowly, he began to walk toward that weak student... His eyes both sad, and yet so excited......

The first noticeable reaction to Gary's speech was a few people attempting to leave the crowd; they seemed to decide against this when one, a transfer not from Varron, was stopped and got into a scuffle. Gary scowled at the fellow Hircine student, still resisting the temptation to let rage consume him. He had to calm down; he would get nowhere if he was unable to think clearly.
"Leave it! If people want to leave, let them leave, we need to focus on the problem." He was now speaking through a locked jaw, attempting to feel somewhat less enraged, "We will not start another riot. We will not fall victim to sheer lust for violence, merely because somebody disagrees, understood?" The people who were agreeing with Gary made themselves clear, those who thought this wasn't worth their time now left the crowd with little, if any, obstruction.
A transfer from Varron then had his say, and Gary could only chuckle at it; whereas a large amount of people, who had been sided with Gary, now became unsure about the situation; several coming to directly oppose him.
"Your enemies are not the Varronite population, I can promise you that. You speak in clear ignorance of this situation. You're assuming that since two students who were conveniently laid near each other with conspiring evidence upon one another points that the entire Varron population of 200 students planned an attack on a single student. This was an attack on an individual; attacking that or his social class, it doesn't matter. The attacker was not under the orders of either side, Varronite or Hircinian." A hand was raised, indicating the fallen students, but the speaker still held the gaze on Gary. "We're not your enemy.
Smirking, Gary made his reply, as clear as the senior that opposed him. "But not the entire population. You are supposed to be the 'elites' of Varron, are you not? I wouldn't put it past any of one you to start treating your own in such a manner because of some personal vendetta, single Varronites are certainly capable of it. But once you bring this school into it..." The pause was a second to breathe, he had to be careful. The senior would have had much more experience in this game of politics, let alone possibly being one of Varrons finest fighters; Gary felt sure of it. "If I have made a mistake in this assumption, then it will be proven in its own due course. But I, in my evident ignorance, would rather sort this problem as quickly as possible; and since it is clearly connected to the violent intruders which once surrounded you, that is where I will begin." The result was that those still with Gary, became more riled up, most of those that were unsure were given serious doubts to the solution and the majority that were against him had their position seemingly reaffirmed.
Gary had taken note of two things in particular now, first is that he has a lot of research to do; who was this enemy that had been spoken of, what threat they posed, how they would be taken down. Second, this particular Varronite was not one to jump to violence, displayed the fact that he cared, that not all of the transfers were a threat; but that did not mean they would stay, they were a direct part of a supposed orchestrated plan which would result in serious harm coming to several people Gary was loyal to, they were the result of an uprise in events that should never have occurred.
One last, seemingly irrelevant factor caught Gary's mind; a student, moments ago had called for someone to shut up. That student was now walking away, probably exiting, but should something more malicious arise, appropriate action would be taken.

"Shut up!"
From out of the crowd, Kurtz squeezedinto visibility. The very fact that he did so irritated him. Usually crowds parted for a Pillar, but when he actually had to force his way through, it was a sign of real trouble. Trouble, he intended to end now. He doubted anything beyond whispers would come from his order, but he knew damn well not to expect complete silence this time.
Of course, any student who dared openly defy that order could expect worse than these two.
He made his way out front, and examined the situation. It was indeed too obvious a ploy, Leon had that right. The fact that it was two students was the first give away. It was unlikely that these two students were so evenly matched they would be able to do this kind of damage to each other before passing out. Then there was the fact that such a big fight happened without Pillar notice on school grounds. Combined with the fact that all the evidence was based on transfer-Hircine lines, but not specific, was a sign someone wanted it to be seen, but not connected.
He quickly glanced up, at Loire, eyes full of suspicion. He had been the first high profile figure to arrive...and thus became the first on Kurtz's list of possible suspects. Given the fact that he was looking for people who would insight violence, the list was few. Kvist had already tried a move recently and failed, and Kurtz wouldn't give him the credit for something this cunning, let alone a distraction move beforehand. Stern was a likely option, if the rumors about his past were true....but the crowd would not believe him if he were to blame him. He needed to blame someone though, as a scapegoat for the frustration was needed if he wanted this situation to diffuse.
"He's right, this isn't the work of the entire Varron population.....just one."
With that, Kurtz reached out with his hand and grabbed Leon's arm, preventing him from moving. Someone who wanted upheaval, someone who was smart enough to plan something like this, and someone the crowd would believe was a threat due to recent, open mobilization. He needed a scapegoat, and one took the liberty of arriving on the scene before hand. He wasn't sure if Leon was innocent or guilty, but to the crowd it didn't matter how it worked out for the moment.
"I'm going to need you to come with me Loire, I have some question's for you about this incident."
Kurtz was taking a huge gamble now, but he liked his odds. Loire, above all else, seemed to calm this situation down before it happened. He would have to lose some rep with the peace-loving and security types of Hircine in the process, but that wasn't exact his target demographic to begin with. Still, it was likely the consequences that would make him comply. Leon wasn't about to risk large, anti-varron sentiment again, not if he wanted any of his goals reached. The fact that this event was a stone's throw away from a riot was probably the biggest concern at the moment though.

Post by Odin Reeves on May 19, 2007 18:27:11 GMT 1
“I never expected you to be one who jumps to conclusions without the facts, Kurtz.” Odin’s voice spread out past that of everyone else’s. He was commanding dominance in his tone, and despite the fact that his voice was unknown students seemed to seek it out. He was walking toward the center where The Pillar and Protestor stood, one hand holding a water bottle as it clearly poured some of it’s contents over the knuckles before rubbing the clear fluids against his scathed skin. He made sure that most would see the washing motion of his beaten knuckles, further playing advocate to their imaginations.
Inside Odin was disgusted with himself, speaking out and gathering so much attention seemed to rattle his nerves. It took all the concentration he could muster to keep up this charade. “Loire doesn’t have the mentality to do something like this. Obviously you over looked something.” Odin’s face held a smug grin, as though he enjoyed the situation arising from the two beaten student’s conditions. “But you were right with on one count Kurtz, this was the act of one student, of one Varronite.” He paused, dramatics flowing through the crowd as the school became more of a soap opera then an educational facility.
“Me.” His smug grin appeared once more, followed by the toss of his water bottle behind his body. It was capped, a third of the water still swishing around inside as it landed. Odin stepped forward, forming a tight triangle with the two men at the center of attention. He joined them without haste, focused on Kurtz as he stared without a blink toward the pillar. Disrespect, obviously present, as well as aggressive instinct set on fighting.
“So,” His words became quiet, kept on for only the ears of Leon and Kurtz. “I suggest you let go of his arm before you start something you can’t stop.” The smug smirk had long since faded, now a solemn, emotionless face watched the one figure he needed to. As the seconds passed Odin’s body pivoted, almost undetectable unless one was looking for it. He was turning his back to Leon, not out of disrespect for his stand, or as a being, but he was physically cutting off Kurtz’ vision from that of his fellow senior. Odin’s width ever so gently nudging through to break the hold on Leon’s arm as his confession sunk into the minds of all the students watching.
While the scene unfolded before them a majority of the crowd, those interested in such events, slowly began to recognize Odin from a large amount of underground fights. For those who didn’t know, they were quickly informed as rumors rose. They called him a beast, a powerhouse with no limit. Some began to recount how he nearly tore the ligaments from a Hircine Student’s knee while in a submission hold, they also told of how large that opponent was. They pointed to him as though he was a savage beast, some fearing him while other’s just disgusted. Odin knew this would happen, but he decided to take the heat. At least this way he’d get to figure some things out, and at the same time end certain relations.

The Pillar was trying to calm the event by placing blame upon the boy named Loire. Another boy soon interjected, washing his knuckles and standing between the Pillar and Loire, taking all the blame. The situation was bad, the Pillar, regarded as Kurtz, seemed to be the only one present and this boy was challenging him to a fight, it appeared. This would have no help on the current situation. Kit decided to get involved with the current mess, hoping that more pillars would show up and assist in calming the situation. Coming out of the crowd, he stood behind Kurtz and talked.
"Kurtz did not say that Loire was guilty and the one responsible for this situation. Though one could imply that from the way Kurtz spoke, he simply wanted to ask Loire some questions." Kit's english speaking skills had improved a lot, through tapes he had listened to in the library that helped his enunciation, as well as daily speech.
Kit thought hard about what to do next, as the crowd was still at large. Pointing at two random students with innocent looks on their face, Kit said, "You two should bring the injured students to the Health office, as their injury seems to be quite severe." It was something he had learned on the street. If an accident ever occured, the best way for the injured to get assistance is to point at someone within the crowd and ask them for help as opposed to saying someone help. This would make the person who was pointed at feel more responsible for the current situation and lead to a higher likelyhood of them helping.
In addition, Kit stuck his left hand in his pocket and called someone within the crowd that he knew. He had a common ringtone, and would ease some of the tension in the air as the crowd scrambled to find out whose cellphone was ringing.
Kit whispered to Kurtz, "You have my assistance. Should you want me to leave or fight, I will help you. I do not want to see a riot occur." He stared at the boy that challenged Kurtz's authority while standing, waiting to see where the current predicament would go.

The next few moments could not have gotten any more intense; a pillar arrived, to be specific, Kurtz O'Neil arrived, making himself a little something to talk about and was about to take the Varron senior for questioning. Then another Varron male stepped into the centre, declaring himself the cause of the two pupils situation, his voice dominating and controlling all in its own aura of power.
The crowd, as always, had a response for everything that happened. A nervous silence, aside from careful muttering as the pillar made himself known, a gasp and ear-splitting silence while the Varronite was virtually accused. Before any response was able to be made, another Varronite happened to step out; with this one people immediately sprang into action, staring with awe, respect, disgust and fear. Gary heard bits and pieces of what was being said amongst the onlookers as voices were raised slightly to be heard over each other; "He's unstoppable... Savage beast... Bloody powerhouse... Nearly won two tournaments running..."
Similarly, Gary had his reactions to the event as it unfolded, though mostly internal. When the pillar became visible, Gary had stopped, folded his arms and observed. As the Varron Academy alumni was asked to be taken, Gary couldn't help but feel smug; at least it seemed the pillars knew what they were doing. Hopefully the same would go for the school captain. But hopes were nearly dashed when another member of Varrons community stepped in; at first was the exclamation that Kurtz had the facts wrong, then the confession came and Gary dropped his arms back to his sides taking steps forward.
'So, this is the infamous Odin. One of the best. My turn to play, big boy.'
As Odin had made his way toward the pillar and the seemingly accused, Gary was quick to make a mental note of how he looked that bit uncomfortable with something; was it the scene, actions committed, or what he was doing/had done? Now, Gary was advancing slowly from his point in the centre, away from the two slumped bodies. He was about to speak at about three feet away from the trio, when another transfer, with broken English interjected. What was done somewhat intrigued Gary, the transfer might be foreign but it was apparent he knew where to stand when the time called for it.
"There will not be a riot." Gary started talking again. He was calmer now, more level-headed and thinking more clearly. "And this challenger, as you seem to think he is, will not fight. Not here. Nah, this is too complicated, too risky." Smiling slyly, he looked at Odin, the callous expression being taken into account. It could be believed that this was the one responsible, but Gary had also been thinking about Loire's earlier words, and he had realised something was far too suspicious. But still, he would stand by the decision he made earlier, Varronites seemed to be the vital piece in all that was happening, they would need removing. Although, obviously not here, the situation was too shaky, there were simply too many variables.

Kurtz let everyone continue their prattle, until all present were satisfied. Unfortunately, they all seemed to forget one thing. Kurtz was in charge here, and the only person who could stop him for certain was the Principal, and possibly Darren if he felt particularly audacious. Kurtz was not going to have his mind changed by someone who thought they had a say in the matter, be it Hircine of Varron students.
"Fine, I won't take Leon in to ask some questions....I'm taking you both in."
Kurtz didn't even flinch when he spoke, knowing damn well he was more than capable of pulling it off, even without assistance that was surely coming. Odin had no hand here, and his testimony only damned Loire more. He could try something, but Kurtz could easily ruin Odin's reputation if he had to. He gained his only real fame in HIS tournaments, and all he had to do is claim he cheated or was acting up for being kicked out for drugs, and Odin would just become another student with an attitude to everyone around him.
"Your an known associate of his, so either your telling a lie and trying to cover up for Loire, or your telling the truth and may have done so under his orders. He may very well be proven innocent, but for now I'm making sure the only suspect so far stays in my sight..."
What Kurtz said next came at only a whisper, so only Odin and Loire would hear. Kurtz was going to get his way, one way or another, and unlike these two could pick his own rules to the engagement.
"or I could simply declare he's guilty for the school now and have all your friends and allies beaten to a pulp by the end of the day while I take you both in. I can either use you two, or include everyone you care about."
Kurtz doubted this would have an effect on Odin, as if he had the nerve to betray Kurtz now he probably had his reasons. Something told him though Leon would be more than willing to be made a scene of now to stop a riot...and especially to stop everyone he knew living in a hell at school.
It was, however, up to them to decide. Would one force the other to surrender? Would Leon perhaps betray Odin to save the riot and his own reputation? Or would Leon be willing to risk everyone he loved....and loved him, and play along with Odin?

"Shut up!"
[Who the fuck does this guy thinks he is?]
Taj thought to himself as he formed a complex look on his face.
[The Pillars barely do shit anyway so why start now? I want this fuckin' riot to happen.]
The freshman gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as the Pillar squeezed into the middle of the altercation, throwing his title in people's faces.
As the plot began to thicken and unfold, someone finally had some balls to stand up to the Pillar.
“I suggest you let go of his arm before you start something you can’t stop.”
None other than Odin Reeves. Tournament Champion, Varronite Legend, and big husky tough guy.
A grin ran across Taj's face. Yeah, he was anxious. But not your typical anxious. More like, 5 year old kid on Christmas eve who can't go to sleep but tries really hard so he can wake up and get that new red toy truck kind of anxious. Taj couldn't wait for the riot to occur. As he began to push a few people to the side and squeeze his way to the front of the crowd. Tajier began to bounce up and down a bit on the tips of his toes, looking left and right for someone, anyone to do something to stat the riot.
......
Nothing? Yup, nothing. Apparently people had some respect for the Pillar, more like fear. Half the crowd were shaking in their boots.
[Pussies, If no one will start this shit, I certainly will.]
Taj said this as he took off his heavy bookbag, filled with a brand old textbooks that were fresh but old since Taj never opened them, let alone look in his bag.
And then the unthinkable happened, well to Taj at least.
"Kurtz did not say that Loire was guilty and the one responsible for this situation. Though one could imply that from the way Kurtz spoke, he simply wanted to ask Loire some questions."
"Fuckin'...Suck up." Taj said in a menacing tone. It was low but loud enough for the people around him to hear.
The unfamiliar Hircinian was quick to go to Kurtz' aid.
As Kurtz decided to apprehend Odin & Leon Taj made his move.
"Fuck this shit!" Taj yelled as he stepped forward into the center of the crowd, holding his book bag by one sling with his left hand.
"You fuckin' Pillars crack me up. You guys are barely around when no name Hircinians get pounded on by a few Varron goons, but the minute someone like Loire even mutters a sound your quick to step in? Fuck the Pillar system! You don't look out for the masses! You fuckin' dog! You are just MacMilllan's lapdogs that enforce rules when your told to!"
He didn't strike anyone yet, he wasn't that stupid. But if a riot didn't happen soon, he was damn sure going to start one...

That was a relief.
The toilet flushed behind him. Quickly, Kai zipped up his jeans and buckled his belt. Giving his hands a quick spray of water, he walked out of the building and back to the crowd. The kid he'd just whipped was leaning against the wall, a pool of nasty-looking fluids next to him. Trying to be helpful, Kai spoke. "The nurse's office is upstairs," he said innocently, and walked by. He could feel the boy's eyes burn a hole in his neck. Hope he doesn't come back.....
As he neared the crowd, he heard the most peculiar of words.
"....You fuckin' Pillars crack me up. You guys are barely around when no name Hircinians get pounded on by a few Varron goons, but the minute someone like Loire even mutters a sound your quick to step in? Fuck the Pillar system! You don't look out for the masses! You fuckin' dog! You are just MacMilllan's lapdogs that enforce rules when your told to!"[/i]
Kai looked around the crowd for a sign of a pillar. He smiled slightly when he saw Kurtz standing among other infamous students. Well, the black kid is about to get beaten like a hoe..... He leaned back against the wall and waited for more interesting events to unfold. Like say, a riot? The back of his mind told him to get out of there before it happened, but he also doubted it would happen.
Whatever.

O, the wind of change doth blow in which direction, who can know I dare not ask, I turn and go I’ll find out when I get there“Oh.” …Was the only word Valencia uttered the moment she noticed that a hullabaloo was going on en route to her locker. Had this had been several months ago, she would’ve plowed right through and been on her way. However, circumstances weren’t the same as that time long ago, but they weren’t without their similarities. Sir Squawk-a-Lot here, elephant-like Pillar there, some commotion about ignorance, and congestion. As for the differences, for one, there were more familiar faces this time. Kai still remained nameless, but was around the fringes of the gathering instead of in the thick of it. Kit was beside Kurtz, who in turn left the fate of the event in Leon’s hands because Odin took charge, though it seemed out-of-place for him to do so, at least according to Valencia’s interpretation of his character. Next was Taj trying to get his say in, though Valencia had a feeling that he’ll be hushed in a short while. And the strangers this time…Of the people she couldn’t identify, the one being called ignorant was, stereotypically enough, a Hircine “native” by the name of Gary. The blonde person was spazzing out on another side of the crowd was Auroth. Now that’s a record. Valencia knew a good bunch of the people around her for once, not counting the nameless masses. Now, I’m just one more face in the vicinity… While about me are random people trying to have their share of this fray in time by either waiting around for the first blow or yammering about something or other. Gawd, I’m beginning to sound like a Shake-a-spear play…“What fools these mortals be.” …Valencia sighed, unsure of what to make of this because so much was flooding her consciousness at the same time. She dug into her belongings and found what she was looking for, evidently by how quietly pleased she was. She pulled out her digital camera and began to snap pictures of the victims, the spectators, random people, the ones doing the talking, a squirrel, a gnarly looking rock, and finally some short pieces of footage due to the time constraints. Once she was done, she put her camera away, deep into the safety of one of her pockets where little to nothing may harm it. Call ‘em souvenirs or call ‘em evidence, this shutterbug was done for the time being until the real mayhem begins. ((OOC: ::kills HW some more because it won’t spit her leg back out:: I do apologize for any inconsistencies…))

"He's lying, Kurtz."
In a move that would likely not go unnoticed by the other pillar, the crowd actually bothered to part for the School Captain. The voice was distinct and known by all, and when the Hircinian students who knew to part way did so, the Varronites followed suit, if only, perhaps, just to see this new face enter the 'arena' of wits being tossed about. In all reality, had the roles of the two authority figures been reversed, and Darren had come in first, the crowd would have just as easily moven for Kurtz. However, things happened as they had happened, and it would be this time that Darren got another silent victory over the Pillar.
But such foolish games and one-uppances mattered little at this point in time. Things had begun to escalate.
Darren had received the page from the Principal and promptly ignored it, at least for the time being. A tool of the school government, Darren may have been, but a puppet, he was not. Instead, he simply pulled forth his cellular phone, leaving a message for Tiao to head for the scene and await further instruction, and wound his way to the same area as quickly as possible.
He would have jumped in first, but Kurtz had beaten him to it, coming in independently from the other side. Darren and Kurtz tended to work completely autonomously from the other, perhaps either respecting or reviling the other enough to stay out of each other's affairs. As such, Darren fell back for now, allowing the scene to play out by itself for a time. Those nearby that noticed began to whisper amongst themselves, but did nothing.
Finally, Darren had come forth, speaking the aforementioned words and causing the crowd to part for him. Now, in the middle of the circle, along with the foreign student, Loire, Kurtz, and Odin, Darren re-made his point.
"Odin's lying."
Darren took a moment, allowing the crowd to take in what was said, and the whispers only grew in number and intensity. A few full-on shouts of disbelief and anger were mixed in, likely from Varron students and fan of Odin as a fighter for trying to tarnish his good name.
"Odin knows as well as I do that he would not perform such an act on someone, even if he could." Darren's cool, yet commanding voice spoke as if the one in question wasn't standing before him in the first place. "He is a warrior, no question, and something as this would easily be within his grasp. Yet, it still makes little sense. Outside of his precious tournaments, Odin has been involved in little school violence. He has shown to be a rather even-tempered one in most activities. He would not have suddenly decided to beat down two innocent bystanders for little to no reason, much less leave them as battered as he did.
"Odin's fighting style," Darren continued, pacing a bit to meet Kurtz, Leon, and the crowd's eyes, intentionally passing by and over Odin each time, "tends to increase in violence as the rate of challenge increases. And these two," Darren looked down at the beaten students, "Do not look as if they would have given him much of a fight, even if it had been two on one.
"No, Odin did not beat down these students..." Darren finally walked up to the built man before him, his glasses lower on his nose so he could look at them with his eyes only. "But the fact that he so quickly tries to cover up leads me to believe that he knows who."
Another dramatic pause, and Darren, using the middle finger of his open hand, pushed his glasses back up further on his face.
"Kurtz," he spoke again, his eyes never leaving the one-time tournament champion. "With this information in mind, please continue as you were. Both Loire and Reeves will need to be questioned at length. There is a reason Odin acted as he did, it is quite out of his station. Find out why."
Darren remained where he was, in the middle of the crowd. He assumed Kurtz would take the two Varronites with him, and he hoped they would go peacefully. As for Darren himself, he intended to remain where he was. If there was any fallout for the actions of the two pillars, Darren would deal with it personally.
And his eyes were settling directly on Taj.

During the space between classes, the Irishman who slipped through the doors a few minutes after the very initial commotion had started stood in the middle of the main crowd, watching as the entire event in front of them began to progress...He'd heard the murmurs from others near him that two students had been injured, but what caught his attention moreso was the fact that each was well-known in the respective 'camps' of the school.
Add to that the fact that the signs apparently led to each of them being attacked by students from the opposing groups in the school, and you had one particularly large mess...But something didn't add up to Will, something didn't make complete sense. Unknown to him, he and Kurtz shared the same basic thought, that it was a setup of sorts, but he kept his words to himself as he watched people begin to step out and address the gathering numbers, trying to rally support in whatever moronic fashion they could.
'Stupid arses probably cannae even work out somethin' isn't gellin' here...'
The two Varronites who stood as the forerunners of their group, one of which had begun to proclaim himself the attacker of the Hircine student and the other being Leon....somebody. He'd heard about a meeting at a club a little ways into the Marinas district between Varron students and 'friendly' Hircine ones, apparently he was the lad who'd been doing most of the talking that day. To that effect, he set about his own defence of the Varron students to the mainly-Hircine crowd around them, but Will could only shake his head in exasperation at the attempt.
Mob mentality was a very dangerous thing, all it took was one persons idea to get into the next persons head...Then the next person...Then the next.....
"This cannae stand as it is...There's somethin' no' right."
With the ever-vigilant pillar Kurtz on the scene, making his demands and such, the situation was quickly beginning to escalate. Valencia, snapping her pictures, fell completely out of eyeshot as he pushed his way through the crowd and stepped out into the main frey, standing in the general vicinity and bringing himself into full sight. He had bore appreciation for the fact he was able to keep a low profile most of the time, but whilst he had his own little agendas, this could prove useful for helping him integrate with some of the more prominent Varron members.
"Ye're both right...."
He spoke towards both Darren and Leon respectively, but answering separate statements made by the two 'rival' leaders of the two groups...Standing closer to the Varronite who currently claimed responsibility to the entire matter, the captain in front of the two and in between them and Kurtz, he simply smirked at the pillar standing further away.
"I think ye need t' engage yer head a moment, Odin. Ye clearly didn't do this to these lads, because -I- did..."
His arms folded loosely over his chest as he waited to see the reaction that would be created, knowing that the prospect of William having taken the last leap from just 'siding' with Varronites in minor affairs to outright attacking one of the schools own, without merit, would be something to have people second-guessing.
If it created more trouble, so bloody be it, but right now, his eyes never left the pillar behind Darren, almost daring him to demand his presence as well. At the same time, the captain who stood in front of him would be the voice he paid most attention to, admittedly rather amused at how Darren was going to justify Will not being the person responsible. It was common knowledge, after the incident in the cafeteria a week or so ago, that he was sided with the Varron students and in particular, against the pillars. For Darren to attempt and debunk that would incite fury in Varronites, the accusations that he was simply 'favouring' Hircine students over Varron ones baited on the tips of a sea of tongues (ooc: Ew, mental picture).
Speaking in a whisper, his lips moving only slightly as he masked the words, he spoke to Darren directly this time. "Now what do ye plan to do, genius?"
True, he'd never even lifted a finger to either of the students, but he was damned interested to see how the pillars were going to prove otherwise from a person known to be particularly savage in his beatings, if the linebacker he'd assaulted was anything to go by.

(((Ancient legends say that Leon was supposed to react to some of these posts before everyone jumped in and assumed he did nothing all this time)))
Kurtz's foot began to move from heel to toe, back and forth, very quickly. This was a nervous reaction of his, which he got worse as he held in his temper. There were a good deal of people pissing him off.
There were all the nobodies who thought they were important enough to interrupt him. He had already remembered all the ones who spoke particularly badly of his methods, remembering to make sure to beat them within an inch of their lives next time he saw them. The sheer weight of people getting into Kurtz's damn business kept any of them from dealing with the situation
The Darren had shown up as spouted his mouth off, all of what he said falling under the title "shit I already know." Kurtz had watched Odin fight at HIS tournament after all. He didn't doubt Odin was capable of it at all though, as Darren was not privy to the arrangement Odin made to get into those tournaments and the special favors he received in them. He did so many things to piss him off so quickly, that his nervous habit started by imagining how he would look without his front teeth.
Then the second Darren did show up, someone tried to be a wise ass and say he did it. Unfortunately, whatever he was trying was probably not going to work by the sheer volume of jackass that was coming from him. By the look on his face you could tell he was just trying to piss the Pillar's off. Fortunately, the Pillar's did not have to worry about kicking his ass right now. they had to worry about ending this shit.
~Fuck it, I'm not letting Loire turn into some god damn Spartacus.~
Kurtz knew things would get more dangerous the longer they progressed, so he decided to end this before it got worse. Over the crowd, he spotted Valencia taking a few pictures. As she began to put her camera away, Kurtz got an idea. It was funny that, being the Pillar apposed to her appointment employ, he was now the one most in need of her help.
"Valencia! Start taking picture's of everyone's face in the crowd!"
Kurtz finished yelling, turning back to the crowd. He wanted them out of here, and now. He wasn't in the mood to play games anymore, and you could tell t by the look on his face.
"Anyone else who interferes any further, and by that I mean stays in my sight by the time I count to ten, are going to have thier picture recorded so I can tell every dean in school to beat them whenever they feel like they need the exercise.......ONE!"
The crowd just stared at him briefly, not really reacting to what he was saying. He let go of Leon's arm finally, deciding he would let Darren play nice with the suspects while he taught the schools trash their place again.
"TWO!"
The crowd began to thin, but not nearly enough as it should be. Kurtz should have it dispersed by the time it was at five, but he knew some people were thinking they were allowed to have back bone. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone, and began texting as he counted.
"THREE!"
He sent the order out to the football players, giving them permission to gather outside immediately. They would be able to get there within a couple of minutes, and since Kurtz assumed Tiao was not far behind Darren, that meant they were going to be easily capable of taking the entire crowd soon.
"FOUR!"
Kurtz continued to countdown, as more student's gathered the idea he was serious and began to move with earnest. Whoever decided (if they were smart enough to call it that) to stay would be in for the beating of their lives.

[Oh this is too much I'm picking a fight.]
That was it...there was too much talking and not enough fighting for Taj. There was too much of people favoring the Varronites and not enough Hircinians fucking up the the Varronites. There was too much of nothing being done for Mukuro. Well that was all about to change, because Taj was making his move.
Darren came in and tried to play the hero role, defending the Varronites. Honestly, Taj felt like Darren only does things to keep appearances. He barely is ever around and people only respect him because he happens to have a comma followed by the words "The School Captain." Taj wanted to change that. He wanted to take the captain ship and actually be there for the school, regardless of MacMillan's orders, and regardless of how many Varronites wanted to stop or end the pillar system.
He loved the pillar system, it gave students the chance to govern themselves, with the influence of the faculty. But the fact that it's been corrupted and turned into a bunch of lap dogs and slackers, it was something Taj, no, it was something Hircine couldn't....no Wouldn't have.
Then some other jackass decides to waltz in, taking credit for the two comatose corpses lying on the floor.
And to top all this off, Kurtz comes in and throws his title around.
"Anyone else who interferes any further, and by that I mean stays in my sight by the time I count to ten, are going to have thier picture recorded so I can tell every dean in school to beat them whenever they feel like they need the exercise.......ONE!"
The countdown began, Taj began to turn around, checking to see who had as much balls he did.
...
Apparently not enough to start the riot Taj so desperately desired. If he got the riot occurred, with the pillars in the action, Taj would have to chance to severely injure them and put them out of action long enough to start making moves in the underground.
Now that Kurtz is playing and angry mommy....it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
"FIVE"
Taj interjected.
"Kurtz shut the fuck up." Taj said brushing off the Pillar's tough guy act.
"Be a man, fight for yourself, stop throwing deans and footballs team at people. You aren't fit for a pillar. Your a gambler, do your what you do, gamble and host tournaments. Don't think you can waltz in here and expect to still hold clout around here. Well you aren't holding shit with me."
Taj looked at Darren, who glaring right back at him.
"Oh, and what are you going to do Darren? Your own fucking underlings don't even respect you!" Taj exclaimed pointing at Kurtz.
"If you were a real Captain you'd put this guy in his place, I guess I'll have to do it sooner or later." said Taj in a threatening matter.
By this point Kurtz should be at around number THREE.
Taj then made his rant toward Valencia. Then he realized...well it was Valencia, she's just doing what's she has to do....
"Look, Val, " Taj said to Valencia, calling her Val as if he had an extensive past with her, although he clearly didn't.
"If you take those pictures, I'll have no choice but to break the fucking camera, and I don't want to do that...so..."
Taj gave Valencia a look that pretty much showed he wasn't bullshitting, like Kurtz was probably doing, and he then looked at Kurtz with piercing eyes, ready for any threat that would come his way.

Taj probably expected Kurtz to stop his count and attack. He probably at least expected him to glare at him menacingly, or at least rebuke the words he was saying. He could at least look at the boy in disgust, if he was so pathetic that he didn't deserve true ire.
Instead, however, Kurtz didn't even looked at him. He ignored him for what he was, a minor annoyance. Kurtz was enraged by the situation, and was not going to pay attention to some little shit who got in his way. If he made a move toward Valencia he might step in if Valencia needed help, but otherwise there was nothing this shit could do. Then again, even if he did that he would have to turn his back long enough so Kurtz wouldn't even have to aim to crush him.
Afterall, was does the empty yelling of a social reject have against the years of beatings the Pillars had given to earn thier position?
"SIX!"
The first player had arrived, probably one who was on his way to see what the commotion was. Not much help really, but it was a sign of what was to come.

ooc: Bit later than expected, came upon a complication; computer couldn't be gotten to for an extra 2 hours. Now, to write Gary’s responses to every post past my last one, as far as is necessary anyhow. This ought to be fun...
ic: As was generally expected, the pillar proved he was holding all the cards, he was making the rules. Kurtz made a proposition that threatened the reputation of both Varronites, the reaction would be that which could decide if this situation diffused into nothing right there and then. But, since when did anything happen like that?
Another student decided to intervene with his opinion before either Varronite could respond, claiming that the pillars do nothing unless it was significant, or only when the principal said for the appropriate action to be done. In response, Gary muttered inaudibly "The pillars do what they have to."
Events would of course unfold further, as they had to; and it was now noticeably unfolding in the crowd to; although Gary was oblivious to most of it. Valencia taking pictures, what for would be unknown to the majority, and the captain hiding amongst the outer-rim of the crowd. The captain, however, did make himself known, the crowd parting for him to make his way through. At this appearance, Gary would back down; it seems that things would not be going for much longer.
The Irishman every seemed to be calling ignorant would still stay amongst the onlookers though, for the captains words would be of interest to him. The exclamation that Odin was lying did not come as much of a surprise, as was not the accusation that followed. Then came the second confession, this time by a person Gary recognised as an Irishman through accent alone, it was something he hadn't heard in a long time. His accent was losing what he had gained as a child, becoming more of that like the typical residents of San Francisco.
Next was the most surprising reaction throughout the whole event, Kurtz calling for a student to take pictures of every face and ordering everyone to disperse immediately. This order, Gary complied with instantly, exiting before the countdown began, before Valencia had the slightest chance of getting her camera out, and before anyone else even considered doing the same thing.
During all of this, the first person to approach Gary, Leon Loire seemed to do nothing. What he had to say would probably be of interest, as the people around him had tossed about lies, accusations and threats, whereas he seemed to be the first and one of the few to have a true voice of reason; prepared to find a peaceful resolution that did not involve jumping toward accusing someone. But then, who could truly know what went through that head?
Now out of the crowd and returning to his locker to stuff his things inside; Gary prepared for things he had to do. Information to gather, people to question, a new goal to reach.
ooc: shorter and not quite as up to par as the previous posts, but I'm annoyed and had difficulty actually putting all that into those words alone. As an afterthought; I'll hold on the hope that Leon will actually do something other than stand around looking like a pleb. ^_^
